Juvia Miami Reviews
Amazing Upscale Rooftop Dining Experience! The views are spectacular, the food is incredible & the service is outstanding! Delicious drinks & desserts to choose from too! You can’t go wrong with anything from the menu! Grilled Octopus, Tuna Tartare, SeaBass, etc all perfect! We had a chance to meet Jean-Marc, (the GM) personally. His passion and professionalism shines through! We will be back again very soon! Thanks again, we are customers for life!
Rooftop outdoor and indoor seating with a beautiful view of Miami Downtown. It is even better to see it after sunset. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Definitely will come back when I am in town.
While I used to frequent South Beach for many years, I had never been to - or heard of - Juvia. After a six-year break from the area, I was looking for a place for mine and my hubby's anniversary dinner. A Google search of best romantic restaurants showed Juvia among the top - I'm glad I chose this place! The view is gorgeous. The restaurant is stylish and the atmosphere is great. Whether getting a drink or a full meal, you won't be disappointed. The menu is very creative, putting a creative spin on things like gyoza or beef tartar. We asked our lovely waitress for recommendations and were glad to follow her lead. Appreciated the extra care from the staff, particularly with the dessert - we couldn't decide, so asked them to surprise us with their suggestion. We loved it! Will go back for sure when I'm back in South Beach. Highly recommend!
Great meal! Fantastic sunset outdoor venue. Great views of Miami. Fantastic food. Well seasoned. Truffles galore if you want them. Even truffle French toast for dessert. Special Dover sole so fresh. Must eat in Miami.
Came in for brunch and our first words were wow! Not only the ambiance was beautiful, the food was amazing. We went on a Sunday and to our luck it wasn’t so crowded. We decided to sit inside because it is South Florida and it was hot, granted you can feel a nice breeze every once in a while. Sadly I cannot remember the server’s name but she was super nice and attentive. We never had to wait too long without her asking to refill our drinks or checking up on us. We ordered from the brunch menu which I think is a better choice than the Miami Spice Menu. The brunch is $65 which includes bottomless drinks, while the Spice menu is a la cart. The food was well flavored and balanced. The portions were just right, enough for you to really taste the flavors without leaving feeling super full. I would definitely recommend to come here for a boozy brunch. Don’t forget to take pictures on the balcony because that view is amazing!
Five star restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and opulent atmosphere and wonderful food. We celebrated a birthday outside and a DJ played an eclectic range of all the classics while admiring the rooftop view. The staff were attentive and we had an enjoyable time.
Talk about a great place to dine!!! Service was beyond excellent, food was even better. I don't understand the people saying that they don't honor time. I was half an hour late to my reservation and I still got seated right away. Granted they told me that I'd have to be off the table in about an hour and a half but given that I've dined in New York and more than half of their places are like this, it didn't bother me one bit. We stayed after the time and weren't kicked out. Sebastian was a really great waiter and made sure we had everything promptly. Also, I see people complaining that they didn't know how to make a "proper" Cuban coffee....well people this isn't a Cuban restaurant. It's a Peruvian/Japanese fusion. If you want specialized coffee go someplace else. But everything else about this place was amazing. I am from Miami, and the view gives it a special kind of ambiance. Make sure you get a seat by the windows in order to take in the whole experience. People who are not from here would enjoy the view that much more. Ok the place is a bit pricey....but, it was worth it and definitely a great date night spot. Would recommend to everyone to try at least once. The prices may sway some people but try it once and you'll be hooked. Oh and I didn't get the DJs name but the music he played was the cherry on top for the ambiance.
One of best restaurants I have been to in south miami , it was for sure one of the highlights of my vacation Made reservations online when I got there we were seated inside , asked the friendly hostess if we can be seated outside , she gave us a beautiful table with a view of Miami The food was excellent and the view was amazing The service was excellent, the waitress helped us out with the menu and was really friendly. A must go stop even if just for drinks
We haven't been to Juvia since 2013! It was very good and service was excellent. We had the fixed price sunset menu. FYI, they don't promote this...you have to ask for the menu..it is $49 with a welcome glass of prosecco, starter(choice of three), entree (choice of three) and dessert. We had the pork belly and Greek salad to start, the skirt steak, and the chicken, and they brought out a passion fruit drink as it was my birthday...fun night!
5 out of 5 all the way. Excellent place to spend it with your honey or with friends. The ambience is fantastic, the food super delicious and the staff was definitely the best. Can't say enough about this beautiful restaurant. The views are amazing as well. Highly recommended it. I'll definitely be back!
Excellent view and vibe. Juvia’s service, attentiveness, plating and taste of food is worth every penny. A bit pricey if you’ve got a big appetite but for what you get in the experience a great choice for Sunday brunch or special occasion. There are more than enough pescatarian options and the food is fresh and colourful. Thank you Juvia!
The combination of delicate, with dim light, good music background, and the great view makes this place unique, the perfect room for a date. The summer lychee is one of the best options to start. The staff is nice, give excellent recommendations and very competent. The deliciousness of the food is undeniable plus the beautiful presentation. I had the pleasure to try a Pan seared tenderloin, and certainly can say: the best I have tried so far. The first impression didn't disappoint, the consistency, softness, the flavor, simply the best. Then to finish I couldn't resist the strawberry cheesecake and a delicious cappuccino. No doubts, this restaurant became one of my Miami top 10 list.
Poetry all the way. From the wonderful view of SoBe, the Astonishing service, and that “have a glimpse of what paradise looks like” food, Juvia will take you on a marvelous journey that will tickle all of your senses. It is quite expensive BUT you know what you’re paying for : an unforgettable experience. Chefs tells you a story from the Entree to the dessert. Each member of the staff rolls on the same beat. Service, Service and service (Big up to my waiter Sebastian - here since the first time I went = good sign). Thanks to the local DJ that will please your ears while you’re enjoying your food, when I say all your senses are involved I really mean it. Tips: if your on a budget, go for the Brunch, less expensive and you will still enjoy the magic + bottomless cocktails (like Mimosa if I remember correctly).
I decided to try this beautiful restaurant for brunch on Sunday. The view is everything and more. Our server Jose was the best. We started with the bottomless mimosa, but here’s the catch this option includes Bellinis and margaritas. We had the Ceviche Carrerillero and Wagyu beef gyoza. I would rate both an 8 out of 10. Main Course, we had smoked salmon Benedict and the Panko organic chicken with a side of truffle fries 7 out of 10. For dessert, we had crispy tiramisu because what I wanted was sold out. In addition to the mimosas, I order the Glamour cocktail only because it was super pretty. Overall all everything was excellent! I would definitely come back.
Unbelievable views and fantastic service. Food was good but nothing to rave about. We had the spicy tuna with crispy rice but the rice wasn't very crispy (should've been called chewy rice). The mountain of truffle tries was delicious, drinks are expensive and not very strong. Still it's definitely worth coming it's a beautiful venue.
Got there on a Saturday night just as they opened with reservations for 2. Within 45 minutes seats were becoming scarce. I'm pretty sure people know: 1. it's expensive. 2. The view is incredible. My experience: Food was unique and delicious, flavors and textures were magic. I'm not a wine drinker ( see photo ) but the list seemed well populated. When I had arrived there seemed to be tons of staff just waiting around so it's no surprise that the service was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made sure we knew all of the intricacies of the dishes we ordered. I found it hard to dislike anything about my experience there.
The ambience is super chill with the purple decor and fake ducks floating around. If you're cold they'll bring you a fuzzy blanket! The service was on point, they clean your table before each course and are very attentive. The octopus app and seafood platter are a must! If you want a cool night out on a bar that's outside over looking the city, this is it!
I was looking for a rooftop bar/ restaurant! Juvia is a great location! Beautiful views, great ambience, great music! As we were waiting for our table to be ready, we stood at the bar and had some drinks to start. They have a lot of signature cocktails to chose from! I chose a strawberry mojito, and my friend got “monkey business” both delicious cocktails! Juvia colada and summer lychee are also both great drinks!! Service was exceptional throughout our experience! We got sat down outside, which is in my opinion the best experience since we are on the rooftop! We ordered the tuna tartare appetizer to share, which was delicious; so fresh, full of flavor, different textures! Highly recommend!! I ordered the salmon dish, my friend got the steak-both were amazing! For dessert we ordered the “hazelnut ravioli” this was such a unique, creative and delicious dessert that would be so worth going back for! I would highly recommend this restaurant for date night, a special occasion or just to go out! I also suggest to make a reservation online before hand! Enjoy!!
I’ve always wanted to Dina Julia, and tonight was the night I made it happen. It was such a magical experience. The energy and this place are unbelievable. On a roof top, but yet it’s so intimate. We had outstanding service from Katie, she was very attentive and kind and made us feel like we were on the red carpet. Highly recommend.
Excellent value for Money for Sunday brunch. Coming from a Bermuda, every where in America is very cheap but for just $65 we got 3 course brunch with bottomless Prosecco for an unlimited time. The food was delicious and the place did get busy which meant service was a bit slow. I recommend making reservations early.
I came on my 15th year anniversary With my husband. I randomly posted it on my social media that I was celebrating at Juvia and a few minutes later they showed up with the dessert. The dessert said happy anniversary. They definitely pay attention to the small little details and made our night so much more spectacular and romantic. Love it. Definitely coming back.
Juvia was a wonderful birthday treat! The views alone are enough to make a reservation. But please don't stop there. The food was Incredible and oddly filling for such small portion sizes. I enjoyed the truffle risotto and my date, the salmon and neither disappointed!!! Our service was immaculate and even our request to change tables was honored almost immediately. Please don't just take my word for it though, go and experience it for yourself!!
Best Place Ever...a hidden diamond in Lincoln Rd. the view is brain blowing, the service A1, the music with LIVE DJ takes the atmosphere into another level, the FOOD..... SPEECHLESS, all the plates were super yummy, top notch experience. My server Juan Guillermo took care of us like if we were the only guests but the whole team is on point.+ They take the CV19 really serious and there is always someone cleaning the tables. Make a reservation because it gets pack.
Exceeded expectations! Before reserving a table for their set brunch menu I was very apprehensive reading over the reviews about lack of service and quality of food. We arrived at 11:30am on Saturday for brunch and were greeted by two very friendly hostesses who sat us at our table with a stunning view! The server immediately came over, greeted us, and we made our selections with some recommendations of the server. We opted for bottomless mimosas. I also opted for the salad as an appetizer, salmon eggs Benedict for breakfast (which was very delicious) and finished with dessert. All of the food was fresh, delicious, and filling. At no time did we feel rushed to leave. We actually had to ask for the check which I appreciated as I didn't feel like we were being thrown out after we ate even though we did leave after we finished dessert. The bottomless mimosas also kept coming and we didn't have to ask for more as the refills were plentiful. We are planning our next trip back already! The pricing was expensive but justified for the food, service, and atmosphere.
Was honestly a little hesitant to dine here because of some of the reviews I’ve read but our experience was AMAZING! We made a reservation for 7 pm and got seated right away. Our server (I think his name was Bart or Mark) was incredibly attentive and so nice and recommended lots of great things. Our drinks came out within minutes and our food was out quickly as well and was delicious! The views are amazing and the DJ was great! Will definitely come back next time we’re in Miami.
The view and the ambiance is amazing, perfect for a date! We ordered the Glamour Cocktail, the presentation was beautiful, the ice had a rose inside. For Appetizers we had the Salmon Tiradito and the Miso Glazed Eggplant. As Main plates we shared the Grilled Skirt Steak and Branzino. For Desserts we had Crunchy Tiramisu & Coconut/ Lime Sorbet. Juvia has many spots to take nice pictures.
This place is for the bougie for sure. If you have the extra money and want to eat some exquisite food this is the place to go to. I enjoyed it here with my fiancé. He actually proposed to me there and they were super nice about it. We did spend a lot but the risotto was to die for! We also ate some Australian beef 🥩 which was super delicious. The watermelon drinks were good. I forgot the names but it was definitely a nice experience. It’s worth going here for a special occasion or just to enjoy something of the higher end.
Obsessed with Juvia!! Everything on the menu is amazing and the ambience is truly special. On Friday they had live entertainment which made the night that much more incredible. Some favorite dishes include the seafood pasta, any of their steaks, the octopus, the wagyu gyoza, truffle ceviche, oysters and the Chilean sea bass.
This was our last stop on the July 4th extravaganza tour. We started out with Espresso martinis. These were exceptional. Then we had to try the oysters with caviar. The Shigoku oysters were very tasty as was the caviar. The mignonette sauce was a bit much and covered the delicate flavor of the oysters. It would of been better served on the side as opposed to a topping, leaving the oysters and the caviar to shine.
Tldr: Generally very good food served in a beautiful rooftop setting. We came here for a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner. The views of the various South Beach hotels and the Miami cruise ship terminal are very nice. The food is also excellent, with one somewhat surprising exception (the burrata salad was served with incredibly unripe mangos). I would most strongly recommend the Chilean seabass, but everything else we tried was delicious as well. The service was also quite good.
Ceviche was great. Crab risotto is outstanding. Even it looks small the portion is pretty big. For a desert they have tres liches - nice choice. Wine selection is a little pricey but all wines have good vivino ratings so you can't go wrong. The views were great but not stunning, anyway try to sit by the glass / window. The staff is super polite and very timely. The only problem was that the coffee machine was broken so they cannot serve coffee. That's unacceptable for places of such rank. Being sad all of that, I give 5 starts since lack of coffee was the only disappointment.
Great view and excellent service. I was very happy with my experience and even trying different things from the raw bar and appetizers I was very pleased with the food. The signature salmon nashi was excellent and by far my favorite. I also loved having a drink with the Miami Beach view just in front of me. Great drinks, the best I had in Miami.
Amazing time! Came here with my wife for our 10th anniversary and loved it. I will be honest and say that this is a bit pricier than what I'm used to, but it was worth every dollar. The staff was on point with everything; literally everything. If they saw a little bit of water on the table from the glass, someone would come and wipe it off. My wife and I just looked at each other and said I wanna come back next year. One thing I really appreciate in a waiter is when my glass of water is halfway, they at least ask if we want a refill. This staff don't even ask they just refill. That was awesome. The view is awesome, but I must admit, that's not what is making me come back. The service, the food (which, by the way, is not a meager portion) and the atmosphere is what convinced my wife and me. By the way, she is not easy to please, and she loved it as well. Edit: I would just like to add that Cristian M was awesome and really took care of us.
A combination of the rooftop, live music, and a selection of fresh seafood with great wine paring, left an incredible impression on my experience. The international staff makes it a memorable service. I thought the price was a little on the higher side of the level of service. overall great place for a romantic getaway.
Serious rooftop dining experience. Expert friendly service. Pasta was fresh, needed more sauce (menu said was lobster bisque) but was tasty. Best part of dinner was the view of South Beach and dining with friends and family. Expensive.
I was in awe with the view ❤️ the service was spot on fantastic and I was amazed at how fast the drinks and appetizers came. All of that was absolutely amazing. The reason that I’m giving 4 stars instead 5 is the appetizer and main meals were not at 5 star level . 4 meals, 7 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 desserts after tip bill came to $800.
Hip spot for dinner and drinks with great views of Miami. Cool decor and festive cocktails. The menu is small but has enough options to suit most tastes. The food was good and the presentation was spot on with beautifully plated dishes. The tuna tartare was a nice portion with just the right balance of avocado and seasoning while the stracciatella di burrata with pear, apple and fig compote was a really incredible appetizer. The main courses were good sized portions and delicious. All of this sounds like a 5-Star review but the service robbed the final star. It wasn’t horrible but didn’t match the food or ambiance. Our back waiter was a rockstar and really made up for the apathy of the waiter. There is an automatic 18% service fee here and it really seems like that dulls their desire to shine. All in all, I’d go back and even suggest it to others with an asterisk for service. Just a little more attentive and flexible service staff would make this place easily grab their 5th star.
This is an amazing rooftop restaurant in Miami Beach. We got very lucky being seated right next to the edge on a full moon night -- the view was gorgeous the whole dinner! We're pescatarian and there was still plenty of fish and vegetarian options for us to try. The Virgin Pina Colada was pretty but tasted like pineapple juice. The tuna cake appetizer (spicy tuna crispy rice) was really good. My husband LOVED his shrimp entre (Sweet and Sour Grilled U6 Shrimp) with huge pieces of shrimp. My Ahi Tuna dish was also decent. Honestly the experience was the best part. I personally wish the music was a little less loud, but the DJs selection was great. Overall great dinner, but expect to have a very big bill (automatic 18% gratuity, probably ~$100/person meal).
I really enjoyed the food, service and ambience. We opted for the fixed price three course brunch. Everything we got was super good. A few things tasted a little over seasoned or too lemon-y to me but that could just be because I’m not used to the type of food I was eating. There is a great view to add on to the experience. I’d recommend it to those seeking quality dining with a rooftop experience.
Friend and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night. The view - rooftop seating for an 8:30 dinner was perfect choice. The heat has died down. The view was spectacular. The sunset, the ocean, the buildings and it all slowly turned to night and lights. Amazing. The atmosphere- such a great vibe. Ducks floating in the little pools. DJ playing an amazing mix of songs. Food - superb. Great size portions (not too big, not too small). Flavors are fantastic. We shared pork belly appetizer, I had the most amazing sea bass. And for dessert - hazelnut ravioli. Service - this was the only thing that could be better. I’ve waited around for water refill for ages. The wine bottle brought out was wrong one so we had to wait for the correct one. And empty drink glasses sat around for a while. Our waitress was wonderful but for such a cool upscale place, just need to step up a notch. Will definitely be back though next time I’m in Miami.
Went here last week for dinner with my husband. The views were great. We were seated row from the railing. Unfortunately, it started raining and everyone sitting by the railing got up and had to walk away from their seats. I would not recommend if the weather is bad or rain is in the forecast. I had the Ceasar salad with scallops and it was amazing!!! Our waiter had a bit of a language barrier but was nice. The price at this place is the price, so don't be surprised.
Very busy place for Saturday dinner and cocktails. The cocktails were creative- like freezing flower petals in a huge ice cube! Great ambiance for a night out with girl fiends or a date night. Beautiful rooftop with wrapped around view of the East, North, and West of South Beach. The prices are steep though!
My group of four recently had dinner at this restaurant and overall, we had a good experience. Our server Brian was particularly outstanding, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the meal. The steaks we ordered were also excellent and we would definitely recommend them. However, we did encounter a couple of issues that detracted from our enjoyment of the evening. Firstly, we were disappointed to find that the management policy ( Alicia was the manager) prevents groups from being seated until all members have arrived, even if some are only a few minutes late. This meant we had to wait outside for a little while, which was not ideal. Secondly, the noise level in the restaurant was quite high, making it difficult to have a conversation during our meal. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and service, but do advise potential diners to be mindful of the management policy and noise level. Thanks
Great food on an unbeatable rooftop terrace. The (lunchtime) DJ seemed to be playing his angsty break up playlist, but we had fun regardless. The service wasn’t quite up to the price, but I was brutally hungover when I went and the excellent Faust and steak pulled me back from the brink. Overall a top spot.
Great atmosphere and view of the downtown skyline. Food was a bit underwhelming. Service was great and cocktails were unique. Just a warning that portion sizes are smaller than say a traditional American restaurant (no complaints!) We sat at a table that was potentially set for 4, and a 5th seat was forced in. It was a busy space as the 5th person's chair was kicked by staff as they walked by. Beyond that it was enjoyable.
Nice rooftop with great city views but a bit pricey. The food was was pretty good. The drinks not so much. For appetizers, I’d recommend the ceviche and the sashimi. For an entry, I’d highly recommend the sea bass. It was incredible. However, I wouldn’t recommend any of their specialty drinks. They’re packed with ice and definitely not worth the price tag. They do have a full bar, so I’d order off the menu.
Picturesque view of Miami’s sunset followed by smorgasbord of dishes for my boy’s bachelor party. we went with the crispy pork belly, spicy tuna crispy rice, and grilled octopus to start. Shared an order of the 26oz tomahawk steak special, and then I had the seafood pasta as my entree. Foley Johnson Cabernet Sauvignon paired well with all these dishes. Great time with Juvia!
I found this spot on open table bc I knew I would be visiting Miami.. The view from here.. Unmatched.... I do think they could use a rain plan as it's a Rooftop spot but not completely covered... So if you're eating and rain otw it's frantic... Food was good.. Wife loved the Caesar salad... I am curious are they low on staff as our waiter was serving like 12 tables seemed like.... They buss boys were great though... I WILL FOREVER HAVE THIS ISSUE AT EVERY RESTAURANT I GO TO THAT DOES THIS... DO NOT PUT THE EATING UTENSILS ON THE TABLE... NOTHING ABOUT THE TABLE IS CLEAN.. AT LEAST PLACE IT ON A NAPKIN OR A PLATE.. any who.. The experience was well here and it's in a great area with tons of shopping and bars to go to later,
Cool rooftop restaurant with great music, good vibes, average food and not the best (unfortunately) service. We waited for the waiter 20 min and for the food additional 45 min. The 18% tip is included in your bill, so maybe that's why they don't care... Anyway - good restaurant, we'll back, but next time eat something before ;-)
Miami Spice 2020: I fell in love with the cacti collins cocktail, that alone might be the reason I come back next weekend! Aside from that, everyone in my party enjoyed the food they ordered, but the NY strip steak was the clear winner at my table (+$12 upcharge on the spice menu). If you dont want an upcharge the branzino and lamb shank were still excellent choices. The chocolate mousse was heavenly and the winning appetizer was the shrimp anticucho- a healthy portion of shrimp and potatoes, very flavorful, with dollops of sauce that had a little spicy kick to it. The service remains to make me feel like the restaurant is a bit pretentious. We flagged our server down a few different times and after answering 1 question, he would dart away again. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star restaraunt. Come here for the beautiful miami beach views, the tasty food, and inventive cocktails. 2017: I brought my dad here for Father's Day brunch and we both agreed the food was flavorful and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was not very good. It made me feel as if this restaurant were one of the more pretentious places in Miami where it is more about the "scene" than the actual food and service. I may give it another shot in the future for lunch or dinner. Recommendations: churrasco, and mushroom linguine.
Hi all! I had dinner with a friend 2 nights ago. I would recommend the views and the food but I can’t really say the same about service. From the girls at the front door, to the bar and waiters staff I would say they are lucky the 18% tip is included. I’ve been in a few fine dining’s and I wouldn’t say this is it.
Super disappointed with our dining experience. We booked for our anniversary dinner and it let us down big time. Feedback and considerations for other diners: - the rooftop view is nice but not spectacular - the reservation does say 90 mins and they clearly stack back to back; for a place that charges as much as they do, I don't want to feel rushed. - They force you to give the whole order at the beginning of the reservation - I like to order an appetizer and based upon quality and the size, decide what I want for my main - we ordered two glasses of champagne ($40 and $55 so didn't skimp) and a bottle of wine and were rushed to finish - as we were eating our mains, the stacked up reservations with people standing at the bar drinking until their tables were ready was distracting and impacted our meals - almost bumping into us given the space etc - my husband isn't a huge fish fan (yes we saw the menu) but they pulled some of the non fish options the day of our reservation so there were few options for my husband - overall, I would only recommend for expensive drinks or a quick appetizer before going somewhere else. - was a very poor experience - especially with a $500 price the at the end of the evening.
The view and drinks are nice. I’ve had brunch here once and while the food was good it wasn’t good enough to justify the price. Last experience was sub par when a manager came to us at the bar section and took our table light to go give it to another table. This left our group sitting in the dark. When we confronted the manager he was dismissive said he would try and find another light and never did. Not my idea of proper customer service.
Great place for insta photos but not so great for food and price. We got the bottomless brunch, which seemed great since you could get mimosas, margaritas or aperol spritz. The variety was appealing but after 6 drinks each, we realized they were watered down and none of us were even close to getting lit. Paying $35 to drink a ton of sugar and be relatively sober was disappointing. You also had to order an entree with the bottomless.... The food was pretty good but paying an additional $35 for a small piece of salmon annoyed me to no end. And that was a medium priced entree. I would not recommend the beef katsu (dry and bland). The mussels and seared tuna were the best items we got We left hungry and sober, but we did take a couple cute photos and enjoyed the rooftop view.
Beautiful Views, great atmosphere and food presentation. That’s about it. Unfortunately the food is tasteless, the drinks weren’t great, the service extremely slow and inattentive. Parking is hard and they don’t offer valet. The bill for 5 people was almost $800 as they include the tip, as well as a high tax I haven’t seen before anywhere else 🧐 we don’t mind the high price if there’s quality to match, but that was definitely not the case. We will not be coming back.
First time here and I have to say the only good thing about this place was the outstanding view of Miami beach. Service is just ok and very slow. Food was less than ok. The served me a salad with almost no dressing and the pasta with beef and shrimp I ordered had no salt at all (tasteless). Also tried some Peruvian style chicken which was a little better. Beverages are overpriced ($8 for iced tea). Maybe I will give it a second chance lol
(Suerte).
I recently visited Juvia Miami | Rooftop Restaurant and Lounge in Miami Beach and had a mixed experience. While the view and atmosphere were good, the hostess Alicia's service was not up to par. Despite waiting almost 50 minutes and requesting to order some appetizers, she didn't allow us to sit at our table until our entire party had arrived, which was frustrating. As a result, I would give her service a 2-star rating. However, Bryan, our Argentinian waiter, was fantastic. He provided excellent service and was attentive to our needs, particularly when serving us our delicious tomahawk steaks. He even went above and beyond by offering to reheat our meat and replace our french fries during our meal. I would rate his service a 5-star. The restaurant itself was quite loud and the men's restroom could have been cleaner, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. For these reasons, I would give Juvia Miami a 2-star rating. I hope this review helps others considering dining at this establishment.
Like most reviews stated, the view is amazing. That is it. Everything else is below standard even for an average restaurant, and this place is EXPENSIVE! Most of the mixed drinks have an insane amount of ice, I had the “glamour” and the “purple juvia” and they were both a glass overflowing with ice. Tasty drink, but as it’s outdoors if you don’t drink it within minutes it’s just flavored water. The appetizers were tasty but expensive and small, typical. My sea bass and baby broccoli was inedible. It was as if someone has poured a bunch of liquid smoke on the broccoli, or had burnt olive oil on them. After eating the mouthful of the liquid smoke it made the whole rest of the meal inedible. Very unpleasant experience… The rest of the food was adequate, the risotto was very good. The restaurant very clearly wants to rush people out so they can seat more people, constantly coming over to ask if we were finished, and reminding us that the “restaurant requests we put our orders in as soon as we are ready” right as we were being seated. Not a warm welcome when we’ve come for a special occasion. Well over $300 for 3 people, and overall not an enjoyable experience. 2 stars for the view.
I'm only giving tw stars because of my waiter, he was super nice, kinda running all over, but the food experience it's worth 1 single star, I have never been so disappointed with the food in any restaurant, normally I post videos on Instagram making food reviews and avoiding yelp, but last night was out of words, the pasta was so deep in the lobster bisque, and it's so sad because you could only taste the lobster bisque, literally not even the shrimps taste like shrimp, the seared tuna super bland lack of flavour, rice super mushy and the salad flavour was 100% garlic, the wagyu tartare... I mean it's wagyu and you threat it like it's any cheap cut of meat. The profiteroles good idea, really bad execution, first time I feel like I just waste my money, only good thing, the waiter and the drinks(counting the espresso) for me was 320$ to the trash
Making reservations here is a joke for 2 people. Even if you request outside you can't get a seat for your reservations. Then they put you inside but won't let you sit next to thw window because it's reserved for 4 or more and those seats didn't even get taken before we finished the meal, It's ridiculous. Our server was good, the meal was ok, and the drinks were good. Just an overpriced view and a usless reservations system that doesn't even work for a party of 2. Word of advice, put a few 2 chaired tables by the outside railing and by the glass window. Definitely wouldn't recommend for couples. More than 4 you should be good.
The service was great, the drinks were great…. The food was terrible and over priced. The lobster risotto was like a cup sized Kraft Mac and cheese that I would buy in my dorm for 50 cents, p.s. thanks for the one chunk of crab?!? for $96. The steak was fatter then my ex girlfriend, I’m pretty sure Winn Dixie has a better steak selection. I wish I can get that $350 back.
Don’t know what to say.... the only positiv thing about this Restaurant is the view, when you can get a table outside. I reserved a table for outside and when we came they said they don’t guarantee outside tables and don’t reserve them. They seated us inside, where the atmosphere was cold. After discussion they offered us a table outside which was „reserved“ from someone else. I don’t understood why others particularly can reserve a table outside and me not. They took long to take my order, however the presentation was good but not the taste. For this price you can eat somewhere else. The food was not good at all for this price. I paid just for food 400$ for 4 persons and it was horrible. The taste was bad and the waiters never asked me how I liked the food and never asked me for drinks. At the end I went out thirsty and very unsatisfied. Better go somewhere else.
