Stopped for dinner on a long layover, food service was quick and quality of food was excellent. Service was fantastic Sandros was kind, attentive, and mixed quality cocktails. This restaurant is conveniently located in the D terminal near the teens/twenties across from restrooms.

Absolutely delicious Cuban food. This was our first time there and we were exceptionally surprised that airport food could be 5 star! Our meals were served hot and super delicious! This is a guaranteed stop when at the Miami Airport. Make sure you ask Leunam, our server who was fantastic! You won't be disappointed!!

We had the pleasure of eating here twice during our travel travels. All of the food is amazing. We had ALL the drinks. The juices are amazing. The coffee delicious. Michalada was the best. And Leuman was our server and he was the absolute best. Such good vibes. And a nice view to the tarmac. Highly recommend!!

I had a really great experience at Ku-Va Restaurant & Bar inside Miami International Airport. You don’t usually expect airport food to stand out, but this place was honestly impressive. The food came out fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented—definitely one of the better meals I’ve had while traveling. A big shoutout to Luis, who was extremely friendly and attentive from the moment I sat down. He made sure everything was right and checked in without being pushy. The rest of the staff were also kind and professional, which made the atmosphere relaxed even though the airport was busy. The menu has a good variety of Cuban and Latin-inspired options, and everything looked appetizing. My dish came out quickly, which is perfect when you’re catching a flight. You can tell the team works well together and genuinely wants to give travelers a good experience. If you’re flying through MIA and want a real meal instead of just fast food, I definitely recommend Ku-Va. Great service, great food, and a warm, welcoming vibe. It made my layover way better than expected—thank you again to Luis and the team!

Wow, actually really good food and service at the airport. Face away from the terminal and you would think you were in a nice restaurant and not the airport. From the service to the food and even the atmosphere it was great. Everything I had was great, highly recommend

This is the best Cuban food I’ve had and very reasonable for an airport restaurant. Valentina was a GREAT server and so very nice and accommodating. I got the bowl of chicken soup, tostones, Cuban coffee and guava pastries. Pastries aren’t posted because I got them to go.

What an amazing treat in the Miami airport! Great Cuban food and killer mojitos. Go see the host Jose Rene del Pozo. He is a genuine character and used to be an actor in Cuba. Nice relaxed atmosphere, great drinks and really good authentic food. Entire bar staff was awesome. Highly recommend!!

My god that flank skirt steak with the chimmy churri was delicious, I also never expected fried plantains to taste so good, the dish was wonderful and I would highly recommend it. It is worth coming back to whenever I have some time at MIA.

Amazing food and service! It was a pleasure eating here. My server Cesar was very friendly and accommodating. The quarter Chicken, Rice, and Plantains is what I had and highly recommend.

An excellent meal in a perfect environment in the Miami Airport. Valentina made the service personable…we felt as if dining among friends. Stake cooked exactly as ordered.

Best airport food I’ve ever had at a sit down restaurant, I had the filete de pollo. Louis was very attentive and knowledgeable of their menu! Would stop here every time I have a connecting flight.

We ate there 3 times in less than a week! We tried different things, from breakfast to dinner, but our favorite was the chicharron de pollo plate, the combination of the rice, black beans and the banana was soo good!

Diane Klavon

The Cuban sandwich with fries was so tasty! The ham and pork were both moist and juicy and the pork was nicely seasoned. The roll it was served on had a nice crunch on the outside, as it should, but still soft and fresh on the inside. And the best part....it was located right next to our gate at Miami International Airport.

Fantastic food and quick service. Prices were fine for the airport. I would definitely eat here again!

Everything was so delicious & Sandro our bartender made the very best Margarita on the rocks followed with an authentic delicious Cuban sandwich that I shared with my husband, he ate so fast I didn’t get a picture & he almost ordered another one it was so good! Ty - Sandro & Ku-va bar in Miami- delicious :)

What an enjoyable experience! Dayron, my server, is incredible - extremely personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is excellent - tater tots are the exact crispiness that I love, the Bloody Mary is exquisite (Dayron may have to wheel me to the gate😉) and I even love the big, strong, hearty napkin (seriously)! Thank you for helping to provide an enjoyable layover.

Miami native - can confirm my food was delicious! You never know with airport restaurants but wow I really enjoyed my meal (vaca frita with rice, beans, and plantains) as well as the lemonade which they made in house. The service was 10/10 - everyone I spoke to was so friendly. Special shoutout to Pozo who was so pleasant and wonderful - made my day. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a good meal and good drinks at fair prices at MIA :)

This was a great spot to relax a bit before having to get to the gate. I had a great Cuban sandwich with fries here. Go to the back, and you can watch planes takeoff, land, and taxi. The service was great!

The food here is fantastic. I did not expect it to be so good being that it’s located inside the airport. The ropa vieja was delicious, I felt like I was eating something my grandma made. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and it was really good also. I also highly recommend the ceviche. If you have a layover, don’t hesitate to stop by here.

Absolutely great experience. With Jose as our bartender making refreshing, delicious mojitos, Guillermo sharing his secret recipe for the most delicious garlic infused oil I have ever tasted, and Poso for making our experience wonderful with genuine conversation, 10/10 would recommend.

Julianna was my server, and she was fantastic! She was knowledgable about the menu and was cheerful and smiling while she attentively made sure I was taken care of. I had the paella which was the best I have had in decades. Paella had lobster and fish and oysters. Wonderful experience. I look forward to coming back next time I am at MIA

Tried the chicken breast w/onions, rice and beans, and plantains. My husband had the Cuban sandwich. Everything was delicious. Well seasoned. Excellent service! Wish we had a Ku-Va at home!

We had a 5 hour layover, so hubby and I decided to have a nice sit-down meal. The paella caught my eye, so Ku-Va it is! We ordered the empanadas as appetizers. I actually preferred the beef, and hubby preferred the chicken. Usually, it's the opposite. lol For entrees, I ordered the paella, and hubby chose the ropa vieja. The portion sizes were generous! I was pleasantly surprised by how much seafood was in my paella. The only thing I would have preferred is for the rice to be less mushy.

We stopped here to grab a quick lunch before our flight. This is a nice-looking airport restaurant and looks clean with decent comfortable furniture. My daughter ordered the Vaca Frita to go. She said they gave her a generous portion, and it was delicious! The bill with tip was $23. Javier was the server, and he was friendly and attentive. No complaints here. We will keep this place in mind for future travels via the airport, concourse D.

N

Had a great lunch before out flight. Daniella was attentive and the mojitos, pork tamales and black bean soup were great. Be warned its airport prices. As is tradition the AC in Miami makes you dress like the arctic.

A True Taste of Cuba at Ku-Va! Our experience at Ku-Va was absolutely wonderful. The food was true to the authentic flavors of Cuba: every dish was rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We received the best service from José Del Pozo and Claudia, who made us feel right at home with their warmth and attention. The combination of delicious food and such pleasant service made the evening unforgettable. Ku-Va is a gem for anyone who loves Cuban cuisine; we were entertained and delighted by both the flavors and the hospitality. Highly recommended!

Incredible place for an airport and reasonable price for being in an airpot as well. The flank steak tasted like a ribeye and the beans and rice had a very good unique flavor, almost like saffron. I only with I was here in Miami to have it again later.

My fiancé and I stopped in on our way to our gate. He got the churrasco and loved it! It was flavorful and the portion size was perfect. We also got the plantain chips with garlic oil- phenomenal. The medianoche sandwich was delicious but I had to take half of it with me- my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I was stealing bites of his steak!

Ku-Va is hands down one of the best Cuban restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and reminded me of a true home-cooked meal. Every bite felt comforting and authentic. The atmosphere itself is warm and welcoming, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. My server, Sandro, was incredible — attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of what we needed. You can tell everyone here genuinely cares about their guests. The whole staff was polite, kind, and made us feel like family. If you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and great people, Ku-Va is the place to go.

Absolutely delightful. Strong coffee, great pastries, solid empanadas and affordable. No wonder the line is 80% airport staff and flight crew. Was the perfect pick me up on a long day of travel. One of the few airport stops I look forward to repeating.

A hidden gem I almost missed! I’m a frequent traveler and I’ve passed by Ku Va so many times without giving it much thought. Today I noticed a sign that mentioned “paella” among other dishes — and I’m so glad I stopped. Let me tell you: this is hands down the BEST paella I’ve ever had. The portion was huge, absolutely packed with seafood, and bursting with flavor. Also, shoutout to José the bartender — amazing service and super friendly. If you’re around, do yourself a favor and try this place. And definitely order the paella. You won’t regret it!

Had a great dinner at Ku-Va. Since I had a flight and didn’t want a heavy entrée, I went with appetizers instead, and they did not disappoint. I started with the ceviche made with shrimp and fish—super fresh, bright, and well balanced. The yuca fries were perfectly crispy and paired really well with the sauce. For dessert, the caramel flan with vanilla ice cream was smooth, rich, and an ideal way to end the meal. Huge shoutout to our server Enzo—extremely charismatic, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. He made the whole experience feel welcoming and fun. Definitely coming back.

It’s rare that airport food gets a good review but this restaurant was exactly what we wanted! Delicious homemade food after a weekend away. Our server Enzo made great suggestions and took great care of us. I’ve stopped at their counter location before but this was my first time sitting in the restaurant.

We were not in a rush at the Miami airport and ended up at Ku Va for Cuban food. We really enjoyed it! Our favorite part were the empanada appetizers, especially the chicken, was my favorite. Daniela was very busy, but made sure we were taken care of, and all with with a friendly smile! Would definitely love to eat at this place again when at the Miami airport Terminal D and not on a time constraint. Food was generous and hot and delicious.

I’m so happy we found this place at the terminal D of the airport! Now we know where to eat great food the next time we have a layover in Miami!! We ordered the fried yucca for appetizer. It was marvelously fried and crunchy. The cilantro sauce complemented the flavor really well. My husband ordered the Lechon Asado and it was divine! The pork was moist and very flavorful. I ordered the Fish fillet. I don’t remember having sway before. It’s a fatter fish and they prepared it to perfection. Both dishes come with white rice and black beans, which is certainly a homey combination that sends me back to childhood memories. My husband’s dish was also paired with fried sweet plantain and mine, with salad. Stephanie B did an excellent job helping us with more detailed information about the dishes we were considering. She was kind and very efficient. I’m still very amazed at the quality of the meal we had here!

Was a great start to a long weekend to celebrate my cousin’s 30th wedding anniversary in Punta Cana. It started with the service! Chris greeted me with a smile and made suggestions on the menu which I took and my breakfast was delicious. Have never been a huge fan of moro rice but, now I understand why people love it. Coupled with fried plantains and two fried eggs and what a great breakfast. But, let’s not forget the Bloody Mary. Came with a cart so you can add the garnishing you want. Enjoy the pics and bummed I forgot to take a pic of the food!

✨ Delicious Food at KUVA – Miami International Airport ✨ I just want to highlight the amazing food at KUVA, especially the beans—they were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Although I didn’t meet the chef personally, I want to send my compliments to Amaury and Poveda. His work in the kitchen truly stood out. The love and attention he puts into what he does can be tasted in every bite. Although Daniela and Claudia that serving me. We had a lovely snack and some drinks while waiting for our flight to London. Everything was fantastic and the prices were reasonable, particularly for an airport! The young man that served (Sandro) was helpful, friendly, polite and super efficient. He was a credit to the establishment. We would definitely visit Ku-Va again when next in the area.

Stephanie was friendly and fantastic! She was on top of her game checking in with us often. She didn’t rush us as we had a long time till our flight and she spoke to us about Cuba. Absolutely wonderful experience at Ku-Va. The staff was magnificent and made everything feel effortless and welcoming. My waiter, Enzo, was truly fantastic. Attentive, kind, and professional from start to finish. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. This was the perfect dining experience before my flight and easily one of the highlights of my time at the airport. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise! I usually lower my expectations when eating at an airport. Even sit-down restaurants have pretty poor fare. But not Ku-va. Everything was fresh and delicious. Another surprise: our server, Enzo, was a perfect host! If we are ever back through the Miami airport, we will definitely eat here again.

J
Jenna Roberts

This was a delightful surprise. I am someone who deeply dislikes airport dining experiences. It's normally overpriced and terrible food. I had the tamales with pork and it was an ample portion for an appetizer. The meat was cooked perfectly and the tamale was moist and crumbly. My waiter, Luis, was friendly and I enjoyed meeting the charming owner, Poso. Make your way over here between flights for some legit Cuban food.

A special shoutout to both Daniela and Louis the awesome duo serving us at Ku Va restaurant at the Miami airport today! We rarely eat airport food, but today we were hungry so we gave it a shot. Ku-va did not disappoint. The service and staff were amazing. The food was delicious. We ordered seafood paella and red snapper. The portions were large. The price was expensive, but well worth it. If you’re in Miami airport, head straight there.

Vegetables were crisp and fresh, meat seared to mouth watering perfection and service welcomed me during troubled travels. I needed a good place to rest, Kuva was recommended and I’m grateful. I was there for a several hour layover. Enzo suggested the tastiest treats, accommodated a lengthy layover and cared for a larger than usual crowd. Thank you Enzo, best to you and your family.

We sat at what the waiter said was the best table in the airport. Indeed, we could see planes landing and taking off and vehicles rushing around. The salad was fresh, big and delicious served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil on the side. The fried fish and chips were crispy and tasty. We got 2 mimosas for $20 (2 small bottles of bubbly and a glass of juice). We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch

Enjoyed a delicious Cuban Sandwich with a side of Tostones for lunch while waiting for my flight. The Cuban themed decor was a nice touch, but the restaurant could use an update. I recommend this place as the service and food were very good compared to other establishments at the Airline Terminal.

S
Shani Stanley

The experience was better than the food. It was pricey, even for an airport. $50 for a bottled water, a mimosa, and a breakfast plate of just cheese eggs and fufu. The fufu was the best part of the meal, and the service was exceptional! I should've asked for peppers and onion in the eggs as well.

R
Raymond G. Arias

Well, well travelers fancy that, a latin restaurant inside the Miami airport, how odd? Who would have thunk it? It was a Thursday night and the restaurant was not so busy, we saw who was going in to eat here. If the pilot would eat there then you know it might be good or at best not bad. We ordered the appetizer of chicken wings. The wings were decent. After I finished my wings I found out that they had Louisiana 70119 sauce. For the uninformed that is Krystal's hot sauce. My spouse ordered de ropa vieja it came with white rice black beans and sweet plantains. To our surprise the ropa vieja was above average, imagine that, above average food in an airport. Our waiter Edxon, was quite friendly and amiable. Do I recommend you stop here? Absolutely you can always eat that garbage food served elsewhere here at the airport.

Great service. Food came out fast and hot. Ana was a fantastic server; super attentive. They had a 2 for 20 mimosa deal. Really worth it

The food was decent, with the rice/beans/plantains sides being the best of the meal. Enzo was very nice and quick to give good recommendations, but at the time we went (~3pm) service was a bit slow. Prices are a little on the high side for what you get, but it is the airport after all.

Enzo was awesome, provided great recommendations. Our food was hot, and freshly made to order. We definitely will be asleep on the flight! Cocktails are strong but super expensive. Would revisit in the future.

Food was presented well but not as flavorful as we had hoped. Service was fine, though the server cleared plates and glasses right away, which made us feel a bit rushed. Prices were slightly high, but that’s expected in Miami’s airport. They also automatically added an 18% service fee. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you are passing through.

We were starving after no food since 8 am and crackers on first flight. Stopped in for dinner for 5. Very kind server but seems to have been two of them working. Still water came in nice blue bottles. The beef was dry, I took a risk. The rice was hard but mixed with the beans and helped. The cilantro dip for the yea frita was amazing, we asked for more to use on our chicken and rice too. The sweet plantain was really good. Gratuity was added for group. Okay experience.

Well, the food is pretty ok for an airport restaurant, and generous portions. The coffee was pretty good, too. So why the low rating? An 18 percent service charge. 18 percent! It's bad enough when a restaurant has the nerve to charge a service charge, but when it gets to that level that is gaul. So ku va? Definitely bail.
