At La Côte, we're nestled in the heart of Miami Beach, where the Fontainebleau hotel's elegance meets our own warmth and hospitality. We invite you to experience the perfect blend of flavors and relaxation, as described by our guests. Our chefs craft dishes that delight, like the succulent calamares fritos that have won rave reviews. Meanwhile, our attentive staff ensures a pleasant atmosphere, with excellent recommendations for the day's specials. With its serene ambiance and great music selection, La Côte is an ideal destination to unwind, as one of Miami Beach's top hotels would attest.
La Côte is praised for its pleasant, relaxing beachside ambiance with good music, especially within the Fontainebleau hotel. Customers highlight the excellent service and beautifully presented food. However, some experienced slow service and disappointing dishes like tasteless octopus and dry chicken.
Tip: Ask for the daily specials; customers report excellent recommendations.

Had lunch here during our stay at Fontainebleau. Tried their Grilled Swordfish and Moroccan Chicken Sandwich. Both were fresh and delicious. The staff was very warm and friendly.
Beautifully located across from the beach. Excellent menu as well as ambiance. Delectable dishes did not disappoint. The grilled octopus, fragrant salmon and the dessert with raspberry sorbet so so good. I found I like this place best from all on the property.
Amazing loved the food, octopus and lamb pita and the truffle fries were soooo delicious. Good server too, wish they have more fans for outside seating tho.
I was completely blown away by the service but especially the food quality! Our server was absolutely amazing, and all his recommendations were great. The pita bread was the best I’ve ever had in a while. I really enjoyed the raw oysters and my tuna tartare. His recommendation for the cocktail IN the coconut was lovely. That elevated the experience for me a lot. I love coconut but have never actually thought to replace the water with a drink. The Seabass was probably some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Just the perfect texture, amount of seasoning, and moisture 🥹 It was an absolute dream
We had lunch here and the appetizers were all wonderful. I would suggest getting a few and enjoy all the amazing flavors with a nice glass of white wine. All fresh ingredients.
Very fun place to have lunch, this place will give you Miami vibes with its beautiful views of the ocean and its tasty food options and including music for the guests and the cool drinks from the bar. Can’t go wrong with La Cote.
This is an outdoor oceanfront dining place. The place is very good for parties and enjoy a drink in the swimming pool. It is hard to step on the floor with bare foot because it is too hot so don’t forget to take your sandles. Also sunglasses as well if you are visiting in the afternoon🕶️
I’m still thinking about the food here- it’s so good! We tried the ahi tuna, oysters, salmon entrée, smashed potatoes side dish, hummus, and a couple other things and it was all fantastic. Too bad I don’t live in the city
It's always a great experience no matter where you go inside Fontainebleau. It's a bit loud when the dj is spinning, but I love it. Fun bar and good food at this outside restaurant by the pool. You can dine in your bathing suit.
We had the best experience! The staff was super helpful for our informal event of about 100 of us during our conference. Excellent service and friendly interactions with everyone working.
My husband and I (The Cook's) visit Miami often and our recent experience during lunch at La Cote was one of the best ever. Greg was our server and not only was he hilarious, but he let me try a sample without hesitation in case I didn't like the salad (which I am so glad he did!). He was personable, respectful, and entertaining. This restaurant is fortunate to have his skills and personality. We asked to speak to the manager, Cody Sample, to recognize Greg and even Cody was phenomenal and treated us like family. We will definitely be back and can not say enough great things about these two men.
Love the menu, one of my fav restaurants in Miami. I also appreciate they allow non-resort guests to dine. They offer unique Mediterranean dishes & everything is packed with flavor. It's such a great vibe being nearby the bar & DJ.
Chill day-party vibe. The bar is essentially on the boardwalk, DJ playing chill beats. Great tapas style food. The watermelon basil margarita was excellent. Get the Hallalou (spelling?) salad. It comes with avo, pecans and lots of fresh herbs. Service was 💯
Wow excellent !!! You need to check out this Mediterranean restaurant with a cool Greek atmosphere next to the pool! Could not resist having lunch here everyday during my stay. Highly recommend the watermelon salad, Branzino and Octopus! Thanks Craig and Gilbert and staff for your hospitality! See you soon!
Beautiful restaurant, amazing staff and phenomenal food! I recommend the BRANZINO, Greek Salad and Watermelon Salad. Big portions so easy to share at great prices. Thank you Craig and Gilbert for your hospitality!
What a fun bar! This spot between the pool and beach is perfect for a vacation. The DJ was playing great party music, and the bar staff would sometimes spray CO2 cannons just like a Miami club. The Miami Vice was very refreshing, and the staff was attentive. La Cote is a great time.
Beachy and vibrant spot at the Fontainebleau Hotel serving fresh Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend coming early for lunch (11 AM) if you want it to be quieter, but later (2 PM) for it to be a louder bar scene with people dancing and music. Overall fun place with incredible food. I highly recommend the cauliflower and falafel!
came here a couple times while on vacation. Saana (spellcheck) was our server. she was sooooo friendly. the food was amazing. highly recomend the garlic shrimp. it comes with octopus but i just opted out of that. my BF got the burger, he wasn’t a fan of it. but the wings & the garlic shrimp were amazing.
Great atmosphere. A nice place for a private party. The food was excellent. We were a group of 10 people and everyone enjoyed their food. What a pleasant experience. This place is great for locals and tourist. There was a private party the day we went, but I have been for lunch with my husband on a Sunday afternoon and was very relaxing. I will be back again
If you are looking for jazz look no further this place every Tuesday has beautiful musicians coming by playing beautiful instruments. Or wait I may have just had my headphones on and I heard my own music playing either way it is very nice place to come and relax and just enjoy and soak up some Sun thank you fountain blue
The food was AMAZING. My sister and I luckily found 2 seats at the bar at a very busy time on a very busy day… New Years Eve. The octopus, Tuna tartare, humus n beet salad were all expertly prepared. Ocean and Chef (name escapes) were consummate professionals with preparation and presentation. It’s so nice to see a cohesive staff of color with a work ethic that’s second to none. Ready to come back tomorrow.
This food was phenomenal!!!! We came for a late lunch and were so pleased with every dish!!! Highly recommend, also amazing vibes outside with music etc. Sea bass and salmon were both amazing.
La Cote is located right between the pool and the beach at the Fontaine Bleau Hotel, making it a great spot to grab a bite while you're enjoying the day outside. The menu isn't very big, but the Moroccan chicken is really good. It's full of flavor and makes a tasty choice if you're hungry. This place is perfect if you want to eat without going too far from the fun.
I would like to offer my heartfelt gratitude to the staff at La Côte. The customer service from the team never disappoints. Everyone is so attentive and genuinely excited to provide excellent service. For that, we are all deeply appreciative. As solo business owners, I can truly say that if we had staff, our hope would be for them to deliver the same exceptional service you all provided yesterday. It was my husband’s and our friends’ first time at La Côte, and they had only heard me rave about the restaurant and hotel. It was wonderful to have them experience firsthand why I am always so enthusiastic about La Côte. I do have one request. My husband and I are pescatarians and absolutely love mahi-mahi. It’s one of the reasons I always suggest Miami— for the mahi-mahi and mojitos. I am very particular about my food and drinks, and for a midday lunch, a mahi-mahi sandwich or some sort of fish sandwich would be a fantastic addition to the menu. Most of our guests had the burgers or the lamb pita, and I was a little sad because I wanted a fish sandwich. It would be lovely to see that added to the menu. Thank you for the amazing service.
My experience at La Côte was rather forgettable — neither good nor bad, simply unremarkable. The chicken sandwich had a pleasant flavor, but the meat itself was tough and overcooked, making it difficult to enjoy. The service was attentive but not genuinely warm, with staff appearing somewhat rushed and insistent that we finish quickly — hardly the relaxed seaside experience one expects from such a setting.
We enjoyed grabbing drinks and a bite here. Staff were very friendly! Octopus was good.
Final day in Miami and the weather was actually nice, but still windy. After a spa treatment, I decided to have brunch right near the beach. I loved Mediterranean offerings, so I opted for the Lamb Pita and Cucumber Salad. The service was excellent, and the live dj created the quintessential South Beach vibes. It was a fantastic afternoon meal!
My wife and I stopped by to check out the place. We went in and had a drink. The place was very active with all of the beautiful people. We had a wonderful drink; I think it was the Aperol 305. It was beautiful and tasty. A 20 oz version, cost $24. With taxes and tip, it was just over $30 (the expense is why I dropped it one star). Wow, that was a bunch. This restaurant is part of the Fontainebleu, a top tier hotel. The surrounding landscaping and pool are beautiful.
Good food and drinks. The patio seating is comfortable but there is a squirrel that is all too comfortable around guests. This animal was jumping on chairs while people were sitting in them, like over and over again. It was terrorizing this one woman until staff moved her to another table. Guests must feed the squirrel, so maybe manager should have signs not to feed the animals.
I would recommend eating here even if you don’t stay at the fountain. I had the Spanish octopus and it was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in Miami (at that price point) the flavor was incredible and the presentation was very nice. I would say the price of the food is quite decent given the quality and location. Drinks are way overpriced (obviously). Service was fine for Miami standards but would be bad anywhere else (once again it’s Miami tho) overall, it had little impact on the most important part; the food! BOTTOM LINE: amazing food, unbeatable location, surprisingly decent prices.
The food and the cocktail were very good. It felt a bit expensive for lunch portions. Service was a little slow.
Our server Rick was great. However service seemed slow... they are super busy even on a Thursday. It was super hot and no fans or breeze. The restaurant is bordered by shrubs making it really hard to get any breeze. Very very wobbly table. We shared chicken wings that were very spicy and a couple of drinks Yummy to me but not for others. It was a high priced lunch for sure like everything else at the Fountainbleu.
Food, drinks, and service were better than expected for a beach side Miami resort. You definitely pay to be here, appreciate the quality food. Enjoyed the Miami vice to put you in vacation mode, octopus was good, burrata salad was beautiful and delicious. Friends got the grain salad with shrimp and Mediterranean salad, both were a bit underwhelming. Easy $70-100 pp for drinks and lunch.
It’s a great place to spend your evening or day by the pool. Sometimes the music gets a bit loud especially if you are near the speakers. But overall it’s a chill place.
The vibe is great! Food was good too.. we ordered pita lamb and roasted cauliflower which was great tasting! But dessert was a let down. We ordered pistachio sorbet.. it was out of container.. like literally container placed in front of you! no presentation no effort.. it was a let down after good food and drinks!
Nice open seating ambience. Service was OK. Food is good - with a couple of good vegetarian options.
We didn’t stay at the Fontainebleau Hotel but decided to try La Côte based on good reviews, the location, and the menu photos on Google Reviews. Unfortunately, the first impression wasn’t great - the hostess was very unfriendly, greeting us with complete indifference. The restaurant was almost empty (only 3–4 tables occupied), yet she simply walked us to a table, said “Enjoy” in the same indifferent manner, and left. Our server was more pleasant and explained some of the menu items. We ordered half a dozen oysters - they were very small, and worse, each one had several shell fragments in each, so you have to eat them very carefully. The chicken kebab was very good; however, the price listed is only for the kebab itself, with no sides included. The tabouleh, which was still interesting to try, the waiter suggested as an accompaniment was an extra $13. Also, the side dish shown in the Google photos (with cucumber salad and rice) is no longer offered. Another issue was with water service. We were only given a single glass of water at the start and no refills, even though I didn’t order any alcoholic drinks and easily finish two glasses of water during a meal, especially in the heat. One more downside of dining outside: as soon as you leave your table, birds flock to it looking for leftovers. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the service, especially the hostess, leaves much to be desired.
Food was good, not bad. I would add more healthy salad options. No breakfast options. At all! Additional star for Octopus. Service is average. I would say bad. By some reason server was rude and trying to get his check faster. No polite. And there is no option to split the check among more then 4 people. We were in a big company.
At La Côte, the cuisine was decent, and while the service was acceptable, it bordered on inattentive, failing to supply extra water or cutlery for a communal meal. Additionally, there was a discrepancy in wine pricing, with the actual cost exceeding the menu's listed prices. These issues suggest room for improvement in service and transparency. 1-spicy cauliflower (entree) 2- octopus 🐙 3- roasted beets
Great food and very nice and attentive waiters, but heavens, the NOISE! We came in for lunch and the place had club musing blasting from all speakers at an insane level. There wasn’t a single corner to hide from it. The bar is part of the restaurant and is understandably the party place; however, we didn’t expect the nice restaurant with such good reviews and higher-end prices to care so little about their customers’ comfort as to make them endure the music that threatened to make their eardrums burst. This definitely was our first and last visit, despite the quality cuisine.
The food was very good and tasty. Staff was also friendly but the way too loud music from the bar was extremely annoying. It ruined the experience for me as the food prices are more on the mid to higher end. Therefore I expected it to be a sophisticated place and not a party charade.
I went and we had oysters and that tuna tartare. They were wonderful. The chicken kebab was very dry and over cooked. It was kind of sad because it was absolutely flavorless which is fine except for it was over cooked burgers were chart on the outside, and a medium well on the inside so the only juicy bites of the burger were in the exact middle. If the server Erica had ever asked us how her food was, I would’ve told her if I gave less review for the over cooked food and for the swarms of gnats. It is an outside restaurant, so there isn’t always a lot you can do about it but if you want to fight for atmosphere, you have to create an atmosphere that is worthy of the score. The truth is when I was done. I hated my lunch. so many good places to eat and I sacrifice my time here.
NOT WORTH THE WAIT!! We arrive around 1:30 pm. We waited to be seated, which is normal. Once seated we waited over 30 minutes before a server came.10 of those minutes we're after I asked the hostess if we had a server. Then someone, not our server, finally brought us water. We order an app and our meal together because we had plenty of time to figure out both. I watched the runner walk around with our app in his hand for 10 minutes. Apparently, he was waiting for the rest of our food to be done, which cause the app to be cold. The food was not worth the wait and the prices were outrageous for the taste of the food and the service. Unfortunately, it was all we were told was available after making the long trip to get here. No a great first experience with this hotel.
Food was fine, nothing special. We order the special and we're not told the price. It was $180 for four sticks of shrimp. The price was really ridiculous for the food not to be amazing. The server did not care about the situation. Not usually a person to complain.
My experience was very unwelcoming. I first spoke to a receptionist named Joe who blatantly ignored me and assisted 2 other guests who didn’t have a reservation just like me, the only difference was our skin tone. Another receptionist came and her name was Mora, beautiful service and treated us with the greatest care. We wanted to take the food to go and she found us a server, Mac that actually seated us and brought us our food. Please reevaluate the people you hire because the receptionists are the first and last face of your restaurant and as an business owner I wouldn’t want my guest to feel unwelcomed at a five star hotel we expect more from.
Staff is very unfriendly. Lets wait how the food is. So location makes you think it is a great place. So expectations also in the food are high. My Salad was good and the garlic shrimp were great. The snapper for 30$ was very disappointing and also the kids burger :-(... Only the waitress was really friendly...
Petty disappointed. Staying at the hotel for 4 days and saw this place. Great location by the pools and beach on the FB grounds. Stopped in during an off and on rainy Miami day after getting back from touring the city. Nothing better than a some snacks and cocktails, right? Wrong. First off, the place was bombarded with pigeons. Landing on tables and even saw one land in the cooking area right before we left. Tons of staff around and a couple of them made a little effort to get rid of them but most (including what looked to be managers) didn't seem to care less. Second, for what drinks cost you'd think the staff would be stopping in and making sure you don't want another. Instead I proceeded to wait about 15 minutes with nothing to eat or drink after the first round. Time to go.... Such a great resort too. What a shame.
BE AWARE OF THE SPECIAL My sister's and I decided to have a quick lunch after we left the beach. We reviewed the menu and waited for the server to come to the table. My sister's were looking to get a burger which was 30 dollars and I was looking at the oysters which were about the same price. Once the server, Carlos arrived at the table he immediately recommended the special, kabobs consisting of beef, chicken and shrimp. My two sisters decided to go with the recommendations and order 3 separate orders. Carlos collected the menus, left and then came back to the table and asked are you sure you wanted 3 orders because it was a lot of food. We were confused because we never been to a restaurant where the server come back to the table to change your order. We went with his recommendations again. After a very delicious meal we received our bill of five hundred and fifty dollars! Our mouths hit the floor at the expensive lunch of kabobs. A special is generally offered at a discounted rate and a tool to increase customer satisfaction. As the consumer im not satisfied with the poor communication of the "special" price. I wouldn't spend this much at a steak restaurant!! Carol's came back to the table to change our order not because of the large amount of food but I strongy believe because our bill would have been well over 700 dollars. We do appreciate that however transparency would have said, oh by the way its also an elevated price and then I could inquire about the price instead of it being a surprise. I'm truly disgusted at this server for not voicing the price because it was inflated from the menu prices and it wasn't posted anywhere in addition to a 85 dollar service charge!! My sister's are out raged that a casual lunch turned into an expensive outing!
The hygiene conditions were so poor that I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. To begin with, this place has basically turned into a feeding ground for pigeons. The couch seats near the entrance are especially bad—pigeons walk freely underneath the couches, and if you’re not careful, they’ll even fly onto the armrests and low tables. I had high expectations since this is a restaurant at the five-star Fontainebleau Miami Beach, so it was very disappointing. The food itself was good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, which made the lack of hygiene stand out even more. I strongly recommend that the restaurant management take serious action to address the pigeon problem.
I was excited to bring my followers a great experience at the Fontainebleau Hotel restaurant… but unfortunately, it was anything but family-friendly. We came with my mom, who is almost 70 and has difficulty walking long distances. We were escorted through the hotel to the restaurant without any issues. After we finished lunch and stepped out to the beach area with our drinks, no one informed us that once we left, we wouldn’t be allowed back inside unless we were hotel guests. When we tried to return, we were denied entry—even though we had just come from the restaurant moments earlier. What made the experience even more disappointing was the inconsistency. We watched the entrance staff allow other guests to walk in simply by saying they were staying at the hotel—no room key, no bracelet—while we were refused. The woman at the entrance was also chewing gum the entire time, which came across as unprofessional and inattentive. As someone who shares experiences with my followers and looks for great places to recommend, this was a huge letdown. Terrible service, poor communication, and zero consideration for guests with Mobility concerns. Save your time. If you’re looking for a place that truly values customer experience, Nikki Beach is a much better option.
Bartender was condescending and rude. Kitchen closed at 5. $32 for a beer and a glass of wine. The red wine was served ice cold. Very disappointed
Pretentious and overpriced (it's 10 dollars for a tiny cappuccino, not including tax/tip). Waiter was very rude and shows zero attention once he realises you're not a high roller whose tip is gonna put him through college
Waiter ‘Max’ ruined our experience. Terrible rude waiter- ignored our requests and had a very argumentative attitude with us the entire time. Unwelcoming and unfriendly.
I love coming here but the new manager here was so rude and unprofessional. Didn’t want to help me get a table even though there were plenty available. Unhelpful delivering the food and got frustrated with me dropping the food. So disappointing!!
My wife and I drove an hour from Coconut Creek to enjoy the Lapis day spa at fountainbleu. We came here for a quick lunch in between our massages finishing and going back to get facials. The gentleman quick talker server asked me if with my burger I wanted avocado.. I said sure, then casually and how about bacon? I said yeah I guess so. This is after I already handed him the menu back. At this point I assume avocado and bacon must come with it because why ask me 2 random ingredients casually after I already hand you the menu. I get my bill and he made my hamburger cost $42. He also auto hit me with a 20-25% service tax which I was told “ is a Miami thing and we can’t waive it “. These low life’s got me and my wife who just wanted a casual lunch to pay $142. This place is disgusting.
We get there, server at the front immediately rude. Not welcoming or friendly at all. She doesn't give us menus after sitting us all the way in the back, we requested to sit more towards the bar. She says it will take a lot of time to clean a 24 inch table. It gets cleaned in 1 Minute and cleaner tells us to come to the table. We proceed to sit there for 20 min until server questions us about lying about our seats and says we should when gotten mended, we tell her the server didn't give us any and was still skeptical until I showed our text message about it. Server then comes back and blames us for the mistake. After waiting 30 minutes we left. Service was not great at all. They need to address the front servers attitude towards customers. Just not a good experience
Very disappointing experience. I ordered the chicken kebab, which cost around $40–50, and the portion was shockingly small, only 5 pieces of chicken that in no way justified the price. The quality under average at best and nowhere near what you would expect at this price point. This restaurant says that’s its upscale, but the food does not deliver on value or substance. I left still hungry and frustrated. Service and atmosphere were fine, but that cannot make up for how badly overpriced and mediocre the food is. There are many better options nearby for the same money or less. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
Yesterday at La Côte, I had one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had in a 5-star hotel. Wrong food was brought to my table — a huge platter clearly meant for 4 people, the most expensive item on the menu, even though I was dining alone. The server’s attitude was rude, and the check was thrown at me without any explanation. When I asked to speak with a manager, the situation somehow became even worse. Instead of resolving the issue, she told me to “just take it to my room” or “give it to the girl at the champagne cart,” which was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. For a hotel of this level, this kind of service is absolutely unacceptable.
I would like to express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit. I was attended by Carlos C, who brought the bill without me requesting it. When I asked if this was an invitation for us to leave, there was no clear explanation, which made the situation quite uncomfortable. Especially since we still wished to order food in addition to our drinks. After we ordered two drinks around 5:00 PM, his attitude became noticeably rude and unprofessional. This was particularly disappointing given that we are staying at the hotel and expected a more welcoming and courteous service. I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience for future visitors.
I have been to this bar multiple times over the years and have ordered the piña colada-which is usually my favorite-with a double shot. The time around the drink was already melted, and it tasted very different than the last several that I had over the years I asked for a refund and instead of a refund, he came back with the same drink, but with the shot separate and then charged me double the price that it normally is . I usually wouldn’t complain.. $112 for two drinks is kind of hefty, especially when it’s usually 65. Plus, the side drink was not rum. It tasted like rubbing alcohol, which was supposed to be premium, which stated on the receipt. Additionally, we waited for this drink for over a half an hour and again still did not get a refund.
