La Famosa Cafeteria Miami Reviews
The best lunch and breakfast place in Wynwood moderately priced just right and those girls Hustle
Bang for your buck Awesome the meats always cooked to order not under a hot lamp.
🙏 Being vegan and plant based there are some good options here. Theres the cassava aka yuca, theres the rice separate and the black beans, there's sweet plantains and avocado and some greens and some other things there that can be combined for a delicious filling and long lasting palate. The plate I get of white rice l, black beans separate not mixed, yuca with mojo and sweet plantains is very filling and for someone like me its light and satisfactory. That plate to even for a to go comes around to about 8 or 9 dollars. Super good. Oh and don't forget your shot of cafe cubano and for some of us it's also the combination of a tostada with that hot shot of cuban coffee. Asi que ya tu sabes. Dale. 🙏
Love it! I've been going to this small latin restaurant for 10 years. Cheap, tasty, clean place. The food is very tasty, and the prices are ridiculous. It's a great neighborhood family owned place!
Great Cafe Con Leche! Add a delicious beef empanada and you're golden.
I love this place I've known this place for 20 years makes me always come back it's a place that everybody knows your name it's Charming intimate the prices are very reasonable very reasonable and the food is great another uncle and his wife it's a good place to go you won't be upset or disappointed
I love there food. Being eating there for over 20 years. They need to bring alcapurrias back and clean outside
fam the fijoles are on point!!!! the collado is fresh and tasty and amazing love their homemade style food it feels like home away from home.
Been coming here for 20 years. Still affordable and the food is delicious
No wonder why this place is always super busy . Fast service ,simple ,delicious food.
Whenever I am in Miami I have to go here. I am vegetarian and get all their vegetarian sides and it's the best!! Friendly and accommodating staff.
Excellent food, great prices and friendly service
Great service and food. Lots of food for your money.
a great hidden gem in Wynwood. Screw all the fancy shmancy places in Design District and Wynwood. Come here and enjoy some real down home , like Abuela used to make, Cuban Food at old school prices. A Pan Con Bistec is still $3 .. and its loaded, HUGE and tastes great , with perfect Cuban bread.
I love this place it is a very nice restaurant I love going there on Fridays and Saturdays they need to sell mondongo every day of the week because everybody will buy it it's a good soup
Your colada to go always comes with an extra shot to enjoy on the spot.
A must to check out spot while in the Midtown Winwood area. Everyone is so nice and caring and the plates are delicious. Great Cuban handmade dishes fresh juices and unbeatable prices Love it. Thank you guys. Definitely will return! 🙌🌞
This was an experience, reminded me of my childhood. The food is off the hook! Really good, the cafe con leche brought back memories. Sandwich cubano was good, arroz con gandules excellent and everyone super nice. They did forget our tuna sandwich but we bought a lot of stuff so we forgive them and it was $32.30! If you like good Cuban food with no frills and amazing prices. This is the place.
Real old school type Cafe, authentic cuban amd Hispanic cuisine. They've been here for ever, don't expect fancy, just expect good food! If you're visiting and want a real old school authentic lunch, which bynthe way, it's only breakfast and lunch, try this. They have daily specials and nice people working here...again, don't expect fancy, just expect good!
Great food small portion but great taste I came georgia and will be coming back as long as I'm here I ordered shrimp and it came with rice beans and salad great price as well loved it!
I wanted authentic Cuban food. I got EXACTLY what I wanted. My Spanish is not very good, but they were helpful and I had a wonderful breakfast and experience. Highly recommend!!!
The place was very clean, staff were patient and friendly. I got the fried pork chops with rice and beans, sooooo good! It was enough food for like 3 meals and very affordable! Definitely going back!
Great food and service but very busy lunch time so call and order ahead if able to
This is what Wynwood use to be, the most authentic place to eat in this Boriken Neighborhood. Food just like Abuela used to make!
When in Miami, I ate here twice since it was good and affordable. They have plenty of food options and everything is simple and delicious. The cafe con leche is perfect.
I had a chicken sandwich. Asked for extra avocado. One of the best sandwiches in my life. Delicious cuban coffee, friendly service and very good atmosphere in here. I definitely recommend!
Update 12/5/23: I've tried a few items on their menu and they never disappoint!!! I've had the creole shrimp, garlic shrimp, baked chicken, meat with potatos (carne con papa), pepper steak, pan con bistec and everything is always delicious. I quickly became a regular here and they know me by name now because I go a few times a week cause this place is delicious and so consistent with great service, beyond delicious food and huge portions.. oh and so affordable. My fav mom and pop restaurant. You will not regret trying this place, I can bet on that! Also if you're expecting fancy it's not that, it's a mom and mom spot targeted for locals and the ppl who work there are so kind so you really can't go wrong. //////If I could give 20 stars I would. The food is delicious, fresh and tastes home-made. They give big big portions and the price is unbeatable, extremely remarkable prices for the quality and quantity. They do not over charge at all. Quick and friendly service. Also it's a Puerto Rican restaurant not Cuban.
A must have every time me and my family are in Miami. Service is awesome, food is better, and every time we go rather it be a day or six months you feel like a regular. Just had the steak fried chicken with white rice and black beans and it was completely family approved 😋
The best chuletas in Miami! Excellent Cafe, wonderful Servers.. Just one visit and you will surely be back!
Many years coming to this restaurant and it never changes, the same fast and excellent service, delicious food and prices affordable to your pocket. Keep up the good work owners. 👍
Amazing and delicious food, just trying and I love it 😍 because they cook like Mama😊

Food is delicious here. They have daily specials, but I recommend the carne ripiada on Monday’s and the fricasse de pollo on Wednesday’s. I get it with rice, medium red beans, and maduros. Thank me later.
This little gem is a historic piece of the neighborhood. It's also one of the few places near Wynwood where you can get a warm meal at 6:00am! Cozy countertop seating, lots of Latin-Caribbean kitsch decorating the whole place. It's just lovely. They have a different special for each day of the week. Can't go wrong with a soup, sandwich, or something crispy :)
BUSY-ALWAYS BUSY-BECAUSE 1. Great food 2. Great atmosphere (table or counter dining),Order window 3. Fast service 4. Neighborhood, Family type FEELING 5. Lots of food for price ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am an African American from Miami who travels a lot. It was the exact look of a mom-and-pop restaurant I look for in another country. It's not the best looking, but it's the BEST FOOD hands down. The food is sooooo well seasoned. I would recommend to everybody to give them a try.
This is that kind of hole-in-the-wall joint you wish you knew about. Chuletas were amazing. Black beans and rice were amazing. Maduros were amazing. Tastes just like some old Cuban lady cooked it in her own kitchen. That good.
Perfect spot in the Wynwood area! Great food, excellent, fast, and friendly service. Budget-friendly. Whether for takeout or dining in, it's always a great experience. I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and they remain consistently excellent in taste, quality, and portion sizes.

Recommended by a local. Great mom and pop restaurant tucked away in a small location. Food was excellent, service was fast, portion were large and the price can't be beat. Would eat here again.
Total transparency I have not tried their food yet yet but I have tried their coffee they're up really nice service they do their thing I would recommend that one as well but if you try the food before I do let me know and I will do the same

Somewhere like Michigan, this may be a passable cuban sandwich, but in Miami, it should be embarrassing. We also made the mistake of ordering fries, which turned out to be a soggy, unseasoned blob that they didn't even give us ketchup for.

I am 44 years old and have been eating at this spot for about 20 years what happened is the breaded steak I used to get is now thinner than a slice of ham so the steak was burned inside of the breading they served me the most thinnest steak in miami for 12.99
Place that i believe is at the same location for over 25 years. If you would like to have the *AJIACO, make sure it is any leftover. I'm very disappointed we got there no later than 3;00 pm we place 8 minutes after arrival, we sit at the counter we can see everything around and very clear to see they way everything how is done, even you can see the cook putting or serving you AJIACO, after see what the cook took so long to serve us, going back to the back of the kitchen to see how he completed our order, he serve one bowl first facing us showing that he was trying very hard to serve the second bow9l, this last bowl was served with a bigger pot inside a sink, took him to finished at list 10 minutes, place on top of shelf to be picked by our server, for another 3 minutes, the soup arrived & was could my with 4 pieces of green plantain hard like a rock but was 1 piece of meat that look like pork meat, beef meat WAS NONE The best of all was the owner, like always making you feel at home, he offer to fixed but unfortunately the damage was done. Thanks
I went to get a beef and chicken empanadas today and had a horrible experiences. This isn't the first time I been there, but the ladies will not address me at all. I see Hispanic people coming and go that have came after me. I'm also Hispanic but because I do not speak fluent Spanish I will not get assistance. I'm more on the dark skin color and I honestly feel like I will not get proper services of my skin color. I spend my money just like everyone else. but I cannot get good service from La Famosa Cafeteria because the way I look.
I order a tostada but it didn’t had much butter the employees all talking and never serve the food right also order scrambled eggs and bacon witch it was not that good the only good thing was the coffee .
