Family friendly vibe, food was as authentic as you can get with an amazing artisan bread , their pasta and sauces were at perfection, the steals was cooked perfectly for my taste (medium rare) and the finishing touch the bom bom expresso uffff..... Highly recommended try and reserve prior.
Brunch was fantastic, but be prepared to arrive later since they open at the earliest spot at 11:30 am. The food arrives at regular intervals, allowing you to savor your drinks. Don’t miss out on Maria José; she was incredibly attentive and friendly.
Very nice place. Loved the outside and indoor decor. Our waiter Ziad was very attentive and making sure we were always taken care of. The food was phenomenal. Truly loved their brunch menu and options. Everything was very tasty. The coconut lemonade was very refreshing. Highly recommend this place and their service
Yaile was a great waitress. Came for our one year anniversary and was very pleased. Very pretty atmosphere and great food. Recommend the pizza! :)
I don't love chicken and hate chimichuri. With that said, I ate the best chicken with chimichuri in my life! My husband ordered spaghetti a la carbonera and ordered the chick w/chimi as an add on. It came in a separate steaming hot skillet and so that's why I tried it. Wow! The food was amazing!!! 😋 Thank you to Luna our server. We will definitely be back.
From the service to the food, everything was spectacular. Luna was our server and she was very attentive and gave us some really good recommendations. Get the fried burrata, yum. And their pistachio dessert was absolutely dreamy.
Came for our anniversary, dinner was great, ambience was nice, our server Luna was very helpful and they give you a little cheese wheel show with certain pastas.
Nice restaurant, very good italian food, my family and I have an amazing time, our waitress Luna was the best very friendly and professional customer service, definitely recommended for a date or family dinner, all dishes very tasty 😋 The atmosphere was great too Thank you guys!!!!
Great food, I really recommend this place. Best prices ever and a free lunch ones u complete 5 of them. All that is just nothing compared with the great service from Camila and the team in general.
We were in town for a soccer tournament and servers Luna and Sofiadid a great job taking care of 35plus people. Food and atmosphere was amazing. They were even able to make a special gluten free pasta meal for our son. Thank you very much!!!
Had a wonderful dining experience. Our server Ziad was very courteous and made sure all of our needs were taken care of.
Wonderful experience. The atmosphere was nice. Our waiter Carlos made some great recommendations on appetizers, dinner and dessert options. If you visit Mon - Friday you can try there Pane E Vino special.
It was my first time at this restaurant and Luna is an excellent waitress . Very sweet, informative & helpful . We will definitely be back !
This is the 4th time we come. The food was wonderful a d the service outstanding. Luna went out of her way. Everyone here is very welcoming. The food is served beautifully and actually at a good pace. We will be back for 5
Nacho provided the best service I’ve experienced in a long time! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The restaurant itself was fantastic—the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, and the presentation was on point. A wonderful dining experience all around! Highly recommend both Nacho and this restaurant for a great meal and outstanding service!
We were with friends and didn't know what to order, 😕 but thanks to our server Carlos who was super helpful and practically created a special dish for us to share! It was perfect for everyone, 😋 and we left really happy. The food and drinks were delicious. 🍝🍷 We recommend La Fontana restaurant; they're very accommodating and listened to us. Overall, we were really pleased. Can't wait to come back soon! 😊👍
Ziad is excellent with his service and attention to the details. His recommendations were delicious. Don’t miss this restaurant the food is really delicious and the location is perfect!
Great experience! Ziad was a great waiter and provided excellent recommendations. I loved the carbonara.
First time going to La Fontana and I absolutely loved it! Our server Carlos took great care of us the entire time. The supervisor, Adriana, was also very nice, she made sure to pass by and greet us which I thought was very kind of her and shows that she really cares about the customer experience. Overall, we loved this place and the food was so good, we tried the Bruschette Prosciutto and Polpo alla Griglia for appetizers, both really amazing! For the main course I had to get the Pasta alla Ruota, it was so creamy and cheesy, very delicious!🤩 For dessert we had the berry panna cotta and it was just…so creamy and refreshing, definitely one of my favorites. Needless to say we will definitely be coming back!
First off service was great! Maria Jose was very attentive and knowledgeable, and very nice. The food was amazing! Lunch specials are worth it. I came for lunch with some colleagues, and we’ll definitely be making this our go to!
We had a wonderful experience thanks to our waitress Maria Jose. She was very attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at the right time. The food came out quickly, and she made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She was friendly, professional, and added a personal touch that made us feel welcome. Excellent service—I’d definitely come back and ask for her again
We had the pleasure of being served by Camila at La Fontana Italian Restaurant, and her service was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed throughout our meal. Her warm attitude and professionalism added a special touch to our dining experience. Thank you, Camila, for the amazing service!
Our first time dining at La Fontana and I was blown away! The food was amazing and the overall vibe was very comforting. A big thank you to Ziad for taking care of us! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. :) Will for sure be dining again!
Hidden gem for Italian cuisine in Doral! Started off our lunch with a 2019 San Marzano Primitivo. Bold but fruity Southern Italian Red Wine. For appetizers: • Fried Calamari were perfectly fried and their homemade sauce was the perfect pairing. Make sure to squeeze a little lemon on top! For Entrée: • Risotto Truffle Funghi was exquisite. Perfect amount of truffle and top it off with Parmesan. Entrée can be shared. For Dessert: • Classic Tiramisu was very yummy to end a perfect meal. Service was perfect but waitresses need to be trained to open wine bottles. Highly Recommended!
I really love the place! The food was exquisite and the service 10/10. Adriana explained everything about the menu, she was very polite and full of joy, and Yaile was amazing, she was always very attentive and helpful. Definitely we are going to be back soon! ✨🫶🏻 everything was delicious.
We came to La Fontana to celebrate my mom’s birthday and had the best experience. Our server, Luna, was incredible! so kind, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. She made my mom feel special on her day, and we really appreciated that. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely a 5-star experience. Thank you, Luna! ✨
Great event with delicious food! The pizza was absolutely amazing, and the way they welcome and care for the community truly stands out. They are a very generous and helpful establishment that goes above and beyond to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. Zaid was incredibly kind and attentive, always greeting everyone with a warm smile and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they genuinely care about the people they serve
Ziad was absolutely amazing. Great server. Attentive. Kind. Great food delicious, definitely coming back. Affordable.
Foooood was great! Drinks were good as well! I had to take advantage of that margarita promotion that they have! The Limoncello Aperol Margarita was surprisingly good. I have been coming for years and I have noticed an amazing improvement in everything! It used to be good but now… phewwww! Prices and quality have gotten beeetterrrr! Looks like management changed for good. Super BIG shoutout to Rodolfo and Camilo with their attention and yummy drinks! Looks like I will be more a regular than before!
We had a wonderful experience at La Fontana! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. A special thank you to our waitress Yaile, who truly made the evening outstanding. She was attentive without ever being intrusive, and added such a genuine warmth to the service. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations really elevated our dining experience. La Fontana is a gem—excellent food, excellent service, and an overall perfect evening. We definitely recommend!!
Food was amazing! Pesto genovese was so good. Ziad was a great waiter. Attentive and not pushy. We spent a nice relaxing 3 hours dining and chatting. Loved it!
Every moment of my son’s birthday dinner was amazing. Our waiter Ziad was very kind and made our experience well worth it. The food is excellenct quality. We will be back for sure!
We celebrated my daughter's 15th birthday and everything was excellent. The food and service were wonderful. A special thank you to Adriana, who helped us with all the organization, and to our waitress Sofia, who was very kind, attentive, and paid attention to every detail. We are truly very pleased with everything.
While the food was fantastic, the service truly elevated our evening, and we owe a huge thank you to our server, Carlos. • Attentive but Not Intrusive: Carlos was prompt in taking our order and ensuring our water and wine glasses were never empty, but he timed his visits perfectly, allowing us to enjoy our conversation without interruption. • Knowledgeable: He was incredibly helpful with recommendations, guiding us through the menu and the specials with genuine enthusiasm and detailed descriptions. • Warm and Professional: Carlos was cheerful, polite, and handled a special request we had with ease and grace. He made us feel genuinely welcome and valued as customers.
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants, the food is always so incredibly fresh and delicious, as well as the outstanding ambiance and vibes of the restaurant. The chef Henry even came out and presented one of the specialties to our table. Our server Luna was amazing and attentive, the attention is always incredible here. I will always recommend this restaurant as one of my top ones.
WOW. Thats all i can say. Beautiful place, amazing staff! The hostess that reviced us was super friendly and attentive, and our waitress sofia was super nice too. Will come back
We are visitors from out of town, looking for dinner before our morning flight and we stumbled upon this place. Sofia was AMAZING! Her attention to detail and hospitality through the entirety of the meal was incredible! Everything was delicous. We will definitely be back next year!
Dining at La Fontana Italian Restaurant & Pizzería was an absolute delight from start to finish. The warm, cozy atmosphere instantly made me feel like I had stepped into a small family-run trattoria in Italy. Soft lighting, rustic décor, and the aroma of freshly baked pizza created the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. What truly elevated the experience was our server, Sofia. She greeted us with a bright smile and genuine warmth, and throughout the evening she balanced professionalism with friendliness effortlessly. Sofia knew the menu inside and out—her recommendations were spot-on, especially her suggestion to try the house-made burrata and the brick-oven Margherita pizza.
This place pleasantly surprised me. I came based on a friend’s recommendation and it completely exceeded my expectations. They offer options for every occasion; in my case, I stopped by for a quick lunch and absolutely loved it. All the food looks incredibly appetizing, and the service was exceptional. Thank you so much to Luna for the great service. 100% recommended! I will definitely be back.
We visited La Fontana on a Tuesday and loved the deal they had, pane e vino for only $4.99! The service was amazing; Luna was very attentive and made our experience even better. The Cacio e pepe is a must-try, super flavorful and perfectly made. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful restaurant! A super cute place with a beautiful atmosphere and incredibly friendly service. We had a fantastic waitress who took great care of us. The food was excellent — I had the Linguini Pomodoro, Carpaccio, and Minestrone, all delicious. And as Germans, we were especially excited about the sourdough bread — so good! Everything was served very quickly, and the service was truly outstanding. 5 stars from us! If you’re in the area and looking for an amazing Italian restaurant, we highly recommend this place to everyone.
La Fontana was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy, calm, and relaxing — the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. It’s perfect for an intimate dinner or a quiet night out. We were welcomed with their homemade bread, served warm with butter and a side of stracciatella — out of this world. Honestly, I’d go back just for that alone. As a starter, I had the burrata, which was fresh, creamy, and beautifully paired with seasonal ingredients. For the main course, I ordered the rigatoni à la vodka with picanha — rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My partner chose the ribeye with mashed potatoes, and it was just as impressive: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The service was fast and attentive without being intrusive, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Every detail felt thoughtfully done. Highly recommended if you’re looking for amazing food in a peaceful, inviting setting.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious , full of authentic flavor and perfectly prepared. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was on point. The service was truly exceptional. A special thank you to Luna for her warm and attentive care throughout the evening. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of, adding an extra touch to an already great meal. Highly recommend this place!
We first visited Fontana for a special event hosted by Vincenzo Capuano, who came all the way from Italy, and what an unforgettable experience it was for our family. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service truly outstanding, and the food… absolutely incredible. The pizzas were some of the best we've ever had, and the hosts, Vincenzo and Il Nonno, were amazing with our kids, kind, funny, and full of heart. Honestly, we loved them before we met them… and now we love them even more. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already planned to return. Fontana is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience.
If you're looking for an Italian restaurant that combines authentic flavors, a cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices, you can't miss La Fontana. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed by a warm, family-friendly environment that invites you to enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal. The menu is a true delight for Italian cuisine lovers, offering everything from fresh pastas to artisanal pizzas, all made with top quality ingredients that truly transport you to Italy. Customer service is another standout feature. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer personalized recommendations and assist with anything you need. Special thanks to Andrea and Camilo for their exceptional service and attention. Best of all, despite the outstanding quality of both the food and service, the prices are incredibly reasonable. This is the type of place where you can savor a delicious meal without putting a strain on your wallet. It’s perfect for a date night, a gathering with friends, or a family outing.
Went there to gather with some friends and have a nice dinner. Food was good. Delicious. Temperature of the food was just right. I ordered the Salumi (it’s their version of a meat lover pizza). Tasty and good. We also had the meatball appetizer, also good. We made a reservation. And it was respected. I believe you must make a reservation to get seating but I’m not entirely sure. Where I was disappointed was the time it took to order and get our main dish. It took almost an hour to get our food, it might have been a bit longer. After speaking to our waitress she chalked it up to Uber Eats orders coming in which caused the heavy delay. So, I’m guessing they were overwhelmed. My friends were also heavily disappointed with the delay. I almost gave this experience a 3, but I’ll be fair since the waitress did explain the reason, plus they caught me in a good mood since it was actually a birthday dinner celebration for me. It’s a little cramped inside, but enough seating. They also got a nice bar. Noise level is not bad you can actually talk amongst yourselves. Parking is somewhat limited depending on the day you go and times. Price is fair.
My wife and I recently dined at this Italian restaurant and had a very pleasant experience. We ordered the Parmesan dish, which was absolutely delicious — perfectly prepared, flavorful, and very satisfying. You can tell care went into the preparation, and the portion size was just right. We also had a fresh salad to start, which complemented the meal perfectly. The ingredients tasted fresh and well-balanced, making it a great addition to the main course. Our waitress, Sophia, did an excellent job. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. Overall, the food and service were both excellent. A great place for a delicious Italian meal, and we would definitely come back again.
The rule is: you can order whatever they have on the menu, one at a time, per person. You can't (at least I couldn't) order one of each pizza for myself. I had to ask every time for a different one. Let's evaluate what we ate : Bruschetta: Tomato & olives - classic that has a perfect seasoning Onions & pecorino - sweet onions & very light cheese Mushroom & Truffle Oil - mushroom covered with mozzarella gratin. Pasta: Penne Pomodoro - pasta al dente with awesome sauce. Penne Carbonara - the bacon was there, the egg was hidden but the sauce was missing some seasoning and the table cream taste was evident. Penne Alfredo - since they are probably using the same base sauce, we skipped. Penne alla Vodka - we skipped. Pizzas: Margherita - Not enough tomato sauce, it was basically cheese and dough. Pepperoni - Light spicy sausage over a Margherita pizza. Americana - Pepperoni plus hot sauce (I passed on that) Cotto & Funghi - super light and easy to eat. Best one. Hawaiian - good seasoning, but not enough pineapple to break the salt. The dough was undercooked in the middle. Risotto: Caramelized & Pecorino - good but not enough cheese, only tasted the onion Parmegiano & Pomodoro - best one, so much that my wife thought it was better than the pasta Pesto - good but not enough to have a great review Truffle Funghi - we skipped Desert: Ice cream - was supposed to be vanilla but we only tasted the milk. Frittelle do Nutella - what can I say, it's a dough, fried, with some Nutella and powder sugar. I tried both together and still not working. Tiramisu - shouldn't be in the menu since you need to pay extra for it. Conclusion: We are biased since we just arrived from Italy and our expectations are too high, the hype on Instagram was too strong and the videos were great but we wanted to come, compare the American experience and see if the hype was real. All in all it was an ok experience. Sorry but the hype put you guys on a pedestal. Bruschetta and Risotto were the best dishes overall. Get Squared pizzas if you want to taste each flavor. The regular could be too much. We skipped a few dishes on purpose and others by comparison. It is good to know what they have so when you order a a la carte, you know what is good what is not. Since it is a long drive for us, that will probably be our first and last time. If we compare their all you can slice with a Brazilian all you can eat pizza, it will lose by a mile.
We ordered two dishes to try! Didn’t like any of them! Pasta was not al dente, guanciale looked more like bacon was very thin, this was for the classic carbonara, the lasagna didn’t have much flavor, now I’m just rating these 2 dishes it could be that other items in the menu are good! Won’t be visiting ay time soon wouldn’t recommend those two dishes
Food and drinks were great! Though it took a while to get, took an hour to get our personal pizzas and 45 minutes for our drinks . DJ was amazing! And staff were super nice and attentive as they could be (severely understaffed for how busy they were). My problem was the conduction of business! Only two waiters for outdoor seating (every table was packed, all tables beside 3 were 6-tops+) The hostess were forced to run food and clear tables chaotically! Just super unprepared for the service they provide (Monday 6pm-9pm all you can eat Italian food)! Some cleanliness problems as well; like lack of gloves of the pizza chef, or touching food with trash touched gloves! Was here for 2 and a half hours and not once did they change their gloves!
It was... Okay. The parking was very bad. Tow away zones everywhere and it was unclear where designated parking was. Fortunately i was there before the rush and was able to wait it out to get a place right in front of the venue. But there aren't very many parking spaces there. I really do not know where you are allowed to park. Every area seemed to have it's own "tow away zone" signs. Not very heartwarming. Smallish pizza 17 bucks Caesar salad 19 bucks Drinks I don't remember the price The Caesar salad seemed to have bacon in it. I don't know for sure but both myself and my dinner companion seemed to believe this to be the case. It was not expected. Might be fine for other people. I had a specialty old fashioned with chocolate syrup. It was delivered smoked! The smoked setting was super delicious looking with the smoke bomb. But the taste was way too sweet and well, melted tasting. Not like watered down, just ... Melted. The Margarette pizza was thin crust but had a gigantic crust edge. It was not crispy. It was not really to my taste either. ### update: in response to the owner, this was my first time at your establishment. The recipes may have been updated before I arrived, but according to the dates of your reply it is unlikely the recipes have changed between my post and your reply. Best wishes.
I do feel bad leaving 3 stars as I understand restaurant work hard to make things work as well as the servers work very hard however I feel I need to say this so others know. I did feel the food was overpriced for what was offered. I ordered a pizza but it was a bit cold, slightly warm, but it did feel like it had been sitting out. Now I don't know if that was the case but it did not feel fresh. It didn't really taste like much either. My husband got the risotto which was much much better but I still left feeling unimpressed. We sat outdoors and personally the outdoor and indoor sitting is very different. That was on me because I choose outside as there was a inside wait. But the indoor decor is 10 times nicer. Server was very attentive though and I appreciate it. He did pack our leftovers for us and was very kind as we didn't know what we were ordering since it was our first time. All and all I will not back as the food itself did not meet my expectations. But if you want to give this place a try then by all means you might like it.
As a result of no manager on site, the service was less than poor. Our server Maria, ignored us most of the evening, even though the place was at half capacity. We mentioned the fact that she had taken ONE full hour to take our order, however she put no effort thereafter in even trying to make up for her impoliteness. This was our second visit (a year or so apart) Our first visit was slightly better, but also poor service. We remember that there was no management on sight then either. Good service in a Miami restaurant is always the result of good management. Having so many choices of Italian restaurants in this city, we DONOT plan on returning to this one. For an example of good service, I would recommend DIVIETO which is in the neighborhood, and the service will never disappoint.
MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Excellent place. Rissotto was very good and service was great. Bread is extra delicious 😋😋 I have been to this restaurant several times and it was always good, but this last time the only good things were the bread and water. A total disaster!!! Octopus was a 100 years old at least, very hard, impossible to eat. Lamb was very small, overcooked and also tasted old. Pasta was not impressive. Not sure whats going on but quwlity went out of the window. Really a shame because our past experiences were really good.
Rude staff and bad food sums this place up. The hostess completely messed up our to go order and personally insulted my wife once we found out what she did. This place is way over priced and the food is mediocre at best. Stay away
1 star — I wish I could give zero The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. The staff was inattentive, unprofessional, and made me feel completely uncomfortable throughout my visit. It was as if providing basic customer service was too much to ask. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of restaurants that actually care about their guests—this is definitely not one of them. I will never return.
We placed our order at 1:38 PM and did not receive our food until 2:50 PM. The restaurant only had two tables occupied, yet our order was misplaced, which caused a significant delay. Unfortunately, the manager on duty was unhelpful and did not handle the situation properly. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
DO NOT COME HERE. Typical classist Doral vibe. This place is in a plaza in medley. It’s not a 5 star restaurant nor anything like it. Yet I walked in wearing jeans and shirt and was told that I must have reservation. I went back to my car, called and was told they were taking walk ins . When I told her that I had walked in and had been turned away because I had no reservation she then said that yes 30 min ago reservations were not needed. This is not brickell or bal harbor you’re basically in Hialeah, Disgusting behavior. Responding to restaurant rep comment.: your restaurant was not full. I went online and there were several tables available for two people. The behavior of your hostess and the Argentine female who answered the phone was appalling. Do you realize that in the US how you dress is not indicative of what you can afford. Do better.
Pasta Ruota is low quality. Taste like pure liquor. Waiter making it didn’t know how to flambé the cheese wheel well. Additionally, I was planning on sharing with my two year old who obviously can’t eat that, and the waitress was awful. Super passive and didn’t care about a single thing.
Very disappointing experience. From the moment we sat down, the service was inattentive and careless. We were not given menus until we asked for them, and even basic items like a knife for the steak had to be requested. The food arrived cold. I ordered a lunch special that included soup, which was never brought out until I had to ask for it to be packed to go. We also ordered ice cream for our child so he could stay calm while we finished eating. It only arrived after we reminded the server, and by then we were already done with our meal. It wasn’t just the quality of the food that was lacking — the service was equally poor. Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit.
I went there last week with some friends for lunch. After we left, they modified my tip to cover some items the waitress did not charge to another person. They changed the tip to 106% (about $67). When I went back to the restaurant, they refused to admit what they did. They claimed the invoices were merged and that I paid for both without noticing, even though my Apple Pay receipt shows only the original amount, and my bank sent me an email with a breakdown showing the extra $67 as a tip. They also refused to provide me the original signed copy of my receipt, claiming that the only one the can provide was the invoice (that was already modified to match the amount they were claiming I paid). The food was good, but if you go there, be careful and make sure to ask for your receipts.
