La Hormiga de Oro Miami Reviews
I love eating here the food is amazing and always fresh. I live like 20 minutes away and I don't care I drive all the way there because it's so worth it. Besides the food the people are so polite and helpful. The tangerine juice with chia seeds is sooo good too. I always come here when I want some good Nicaraguan food.
They have a great set up inside, probably the best in southern Miami area as far as Fritangas. Food was fabulous. I went on an early Saturday morning. I’m very interested to see what it looks like with the stage occupied and the venue full

I love this Fritanga! Great food and there’s a lot of food options. The food quality is superb. There’s a lot of dessert options as well. I really enjoyed my visit. They play great 80’s music!
Very delicious food and very nice people that work here. Large portions for reasonable price. :))))
I just went in to treat myself for my bday today. The food looks absolutely delicious I cannot wait to have it for dinner. The server was extremely attentive, helpful and kind and the owner's son was wonderful. I will be recommending them to friends and I will definitely be coming back!
Food was great. Owners greated me and my group. Seem like very kind and genuine people. Planning on supporting this great local business.
Super satisfied with how my experience went at this fritanga. Food was amazing and the service was 10/10 I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I love this place! We visit almost every time we come to see my parents in Miami. The carne asada is yummy and the main reason we go! The service is great, I think everyone who helps us is always very kind and friendly.
Service was great, very friendly staff. Food was hands down THE BEST Nicaraguan food I’ve had in Miami. The restaurant was very cozy, loved the decor and music!! Definitely coming back soon!!
Excellent quality Fritanga (traditional Nicaraguan food). This is my go-to neighborhood place, when I just want some fresh 'home style ' cooking. Not a destination or to bring a date but wholesome tasty food at very good prices. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely delicious, did catering. Everything was good the service at pick up was excellent. Next time. I’ll definitely dine inside.
Delicious food! El chile was on point. Good portions. Great service! The waitress was friendly and fast. Didn't have to wait long for the food. A 12 min wait for two people. Music can be brought down a notch. I had to speak louder than normal. That's why it didn't get 5 stars.

I visited on 6/30/22 @6:36pm right before they close I believe. (I know super late review lol) but I wanted to be sure to leave them a review because the food was very delicious. I ordered a "carne asada completa" (Price $12.85+tx) & a "Queso-Frito" (Price $1.99). We sat down to eat in the restaurant, it is nicely decorated & clean. I will say the service lady wasn't so friendly, but wasn't rude either. I imagine it was because it was the end of the day & she was tired, so understandable. I would go back for the food was very good, the meat was done right although some was fatty. The rice was very good as well.

Food was ok and as we were eating, one of the workers came to where we were sitting and asked if we were done with our soup plates and took it to serve someone else with it. Not good. Felt rush. The lady that was serving us was on the phone most of the time.
I recently got take out from La Hormiga de Oro, and I must say, I was not impressed with their fritanga. In my opinion, there are better places to enjoy this type of cuisine. The flavors and overall experience fell short of my expectations.

The last two times I went they didn't have white rice, the french fries were really dry and the pork was dry as well. They don't have good customer service they talk to each other and people are waiting to be served.

Meet always dry, they do not cook fresh meat and too little for the price

The carnes asada was very nasty, the smell was bad. I was very disappointed n disgusting. I told the lady who service me n she like is wired. Im like it was very nasty. I love my Nicaraguan food. But this place is not the place to eat Nicaraguan food.
I stopped by to buy a 3 leches and a fried cheese. I was shown was looked like a dried cake. I was told it is a 3 leches with flan and it's a great seller for them. I bought it to give a try. Very disappointing. Not close to a 3 leches. The flan part did not taste like flan. And had what tasted like dulce de leche...which is not in the 3 leches recipe. The cheese, thin as a paper and chewing almost like gum. From my interaction with the man and female there, I am 100% sure they are not Nicaraguan. It seems the previous owners (nicaraguan) sold it. It only brings a bad reputation to Nicaraguan food. Just being honest. I don't recommend it.
The most disgusting Nicaraguan fritanga..most definitely don't recommend. The carne asada so salty, the plantains old, the chicken raw, I can continue...
