Las Olas Miami Reviews
Beautiful stretch of beach. Happened to be a armed forces parade the afternoon we went by that culminated at entrance to beach. Patrons in nearby restaurants and pedestrians all cheering them on! Great vibe. Parking adjacent for reasonable fee.
I absolutely love this beach so much to do and see here
A pet friendly Beach with nice soft sand baby blue oceans friendly people water for dogs and washing off your body everywhere shopping stores restaurants everything you need along the beach at night time everything comes to life and the sunsets here are absolutely beautiful. A reminder all dogs must be on leashes less than 8 foot and you have to clean up after dogs I mean everything leave no Trace it's just common courtesy and also your dog must be well behaved they are strict if your dog barks or causes problems they will ask you to leave.
I feel like it’s a cliché to review a beach, but Las Olas Beach really does stand out as one of Fort Lauderdale’s best spots. The sand is wide and clean, the water is warm with gentle waves, and the lively promenade offers plenty of shops and restaurants just steps away. Whether you’re looking for a calm place to swim, a cabana to lounge in, or a fun stroll through local vendors and music, this beach manages to be both relaxing and vibrant at the same time.
Cool beach with luxury apartments and building aligning. A mix of modern structure and nature/ocean. Lovely place
We had an awesome time....lots good foodie places. We went to the Rock Bar 😁...my daughters took me for an early birthday present... brought drinks.. food and some cute tops. It was spring break...but the traffic was not bad...we got good parking at the new constructed public parking garage. It's always a blast at the beach 😎😘💙.
Great beach. The water is beautiful, the sand is plush, and it's a lot of space. Nothing like seeing people old and young utilizing the beach to have fun, exercise, train, and most important of all, leisure. It gets crowded here on Saturday so keep that in mind if you plan on driving. If you leave at the wrong time, there will be a bit of a waiting period in the parking lot as you try to exit. I love fort Lauderdale and Las Olas Beach is one of the main reasons why. Sure, there are better beaches in the world, but this one definitely has a special place amongst them. Also, Bo's Beach and coconuts are great places to grab something to eat. AVOID the drunken taco. Worst food on the beach and not even worth it if you were given an all you can eat pass for free. Trust, some of the worst food here. Also the Hooters wasnt all that bad, but it was no where near being close to decent let alone good. Avoid! Otherwise, great beach.
This beach is a fun spot with a lot going on! It can get lively in some areas thanks to the nearby businesses playing club music, but that all depends on where you set up. It’s a popular place with plenty of action and great shopping just steps away.
Las Olas Beach is incredible not nearly as busy as Miami Beach, super relaxing, and only about 50 minutes away. Definitely recommend!
This is a real paradise next to home! This is my go-to place for a nice beach stroll, a light jog, exercise in their outdoor “gym” and basketball and beach volleyball courts. I always go to the water for a bit after my workouts and relax with the sound of the water. There are also tons of restaurants with ocean view (literarily first line to the ocean)... you must definitely visit las olas beach when in town! 💕 Oh! Watch the sunrise!🤩
Awesome experience and great environment! There's a lot of restaurants and lots of shops and options to choose from! The beach was very nice but super crowded! The beach environment is great if you're single or a couple without kids :) but with kids it will be a bit crazy... but doable :) You can enjoy a long walk on the beach or store front and if you're there on the 4th of July you will enjoy an awesome firework show PLUS all the traffic that comes with it lol (the only down side of this experience) But enjoy nonetheless and enjoy the photos and the fireworks! Enjoy!
Las Olas Beach - ❤❤❤ - What's not to love? I'm a beachside local so, parking isn't one of those things I worry about. - On the flip side... The building w/ all the lights to the left as you come over the drawbridge is a parking lot. It typically has plenty of spots & is a short walk to the sand. On your walk to the beach, you'll pass the new park on Las Olas & A1A - that's also a terrific spot to chill. For the past year, I’ve been getting my hair cut by Luis at Xtreme Cutz. Always friendly, always professional, and the fades are spot on. Can’t recommend enough! 💈🇨🇦
Beautiful, laid back, good food, cheap parking, clean! The beach provides chairs. I don't know if they're free. There is a lot on Las Olas right before the beach for $10 1-2 hrs and a lot for $5 1hr on the boardwalk. It's by the Taco Bell Cantino and CVS restaurant. A great beach for family, singles, or couples. Also, ppl were running, roller blading, riding bikes and skateboarding.
All parking is paid parking, but the beach is public and is free to enter. This is a beautiful and clean beach with amazing colors to the water and stunning stretches of sand. Fun wide sidewalk to walk along the beach side and a sidewalk to walk along the stores and restaurant side. This beach is well worth visiting for locals and tourists.
Beautiful beach and clear water. Great place to spend a few hours on a nice afternoon.
Sunrise was breathtaking... all of my senses were awakened! The sun warming my skin, the rhythmic lull of the waves, the cool, gritty sand between my toes... the water was warm and cold at the same time.. lol. Visit early if you want serenity, it's one of the most popular beaches in Ft.L...gets crowded fairly quickly.
Nice beach right in front of the Ritz Carlton and next to a CVS and bunch of restaurants for a small parking fee you can park make sure u stay on top of the time if not they will get you and it's like a $250 fine which I'd rather spend $5 more for extra time. But really like this beach for sure views are spectacular #localguide #alohabitches #todabeach
Pretty beach, cleam and Clearwater. easy access to the beach, multiple restroom, Parkings, restaurant and stores near the areas. Great place to take great pictures. (my phone didn't get the the beauty of😔😥) I recommend you to get ready for some rain no big deal less that 5min but if you want to keep save your belongings just get prepare. I highly recommend you to walk around there's a lot of cool stuff around the area. If you have kids they will love to see some big shells🐟🐚 "Don't forget to clean after you self there are many trash cans" let's keep it clean. enjoy!!
I can never say enough about this place. It’s beautiful! The sea was pretty rough today, but the lifeguards were very vigilant, people were having fun and I even saw a guy just walking around picking up garbage off the sand. It’s a pretty clean beach anyway. Love it!!!!! Go and have a drink across the street and eat and have fun! My kiddos love it too!
Las Olas Beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a beautiful beach stretching for as far as the eye can see! There are many resorts, shops, and activities along the strip. I have highlighted the local Flea Market they host here in my review. We visited several tents and perused a variety of products! The Flea Market had local vendors offering BBQ, empanadas, clothing, jewelry, smoothies, and accessories. There were lots of different options! I got a mango, strawberry and peach smoothie which was the perfect, refreshing drink to sip on as we walked through the market and along the beach itself. My friends got some nice jewellery pieces including some rings and earrings, and a summer dress. The vendors were friendly and had helpful recommendations. The beach itself beautiful! It was packed but since it is such a vast beach, there was plenty of room for everyone! It was clean, had many water fountains and showers available, public washrooms, benches, parks and playgrounds. There were paid parking lots in different areas along the beach. This beach is a fantastic spot to visit and spend the day at, whether you live in Fort Lauderdale or you’re just visiting for vacation!
Las Olas Beach is truly a haven for those seeking relaxation, unwinding, and a dose of fantastic entertainment. The golden sands and azure waters provide the perfect backdrop for a serene day of sunbathing or leisurely strolls along the shore. What sets Las Olas Beach apart is the array of options it offers to enjoy some refreshing drinks. From quaint beachside bars serving up tropical cocktails to trendy cafes with artisanal coffees, you'll find a drink to suit every palate. Sipping your favorite beverage while listening to the gentle waves is pure bliss. The entertainment scene here is top-notch. Live music performances on weekends add a vibrant touch to the atmosphere. Whether it's a local band strumming acoustic tunes or a DJ spinning the latest hits, there's always something to groove to. The beach also hosts occasional events and festivals that bring the community together for an unforgettable time. Moreover, Las Olas Beach is thoughtfully designed with ample seating areas, making it easy to unwind in comfort. Lounging under the swaying palm trees, you can let your worries melt away. The friendly atmosphere and welcoming locals only enhance the overall experience. In conclusion, Las Olas Beach is a hidden gem for anyone seeking a relaxing escape, a chance to unwind, and a delightful blend of drinks and entertainment. It's a slice of paradise where you can soak up the sun, sip on your favorite beverages, and revel in the coastal ambiance. Whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, this beach promises a memorable retreat.
This is a really a nice play to go with friends and family, fortunately you don’t have to smell ilegal drugs like other beaches in Miami. There are good activities like jogging, swimming (sand is clean), exercise, walk and sightseeing. Also there are good restaurants with good prices. Only one thing to pay attention: pay your parking side on machines or on your mobile because there is a man who put fees really fast like I saw that day. Enjoy!
It’s a beautiful beach to visit. Place is nice and clean. I don’t know if it was because of the New Years celebration but there was an abundance of police officers visible which gave the feeling of safety. Water looks great also, unlike some of the other beaches I’ve visited in South Florida.
Amazing beach! We stayed closer to Pompano Beach and unfortunately we found this beach on the last day. The sand is soft and the beach is clean. The parking is a little sketchy as most of the parking ramps are under the hotels or off the main road a bit. Overall the area is safe and clean and lots to do. There is a ton of food in walking distance and shops to buy sand toys and gifts thats actually priced fairly decent. We regretted not being able to spend more time at this spot as it was really perfect with not a ton of people which was surprising. There is a spot to wash off and clean your feet and they usually have a sand artist by the entrance that is fun to watch. The roof top bar across from the entrance plays loud music so you can sit on the beach and listen to the music. Like I said the parking is really the only sketchy part.
I'm a Florida resident and i gave myself a Staycation. The most relaxing week i had in a while. The water was amazing, beautiful and clear and thank goodness not too many people on the beach on the weekday. We stayed on one of the Resorts and walking distance to everything, spent hour on the beach. No seaweed, the sand was soft and the water was so clear. We had an amazing time.
This beach is a beautiful place to escape the craziness of South Beach. South beach is a lot of fun, but this beach is more relaxing and easier to park and pick up food as it’s I close proximity to the beach. Find a nice palm tree with shade and skip the blue umbrellas as they will set you back $70.00. Music, food and sun!! Can’t complain!!
We went to eat to Fogo de Chao and they have an excelent ambiance, great service especially Nelson, he is very good. And the food was amazing!
Las Olas Beach is definitely a very nice beach. It looks clean and well maintained. There is a workout area, basketball court and volleyball nets. Enjoyed walking along the hotel and restaurant strip that oversees the beach. Even enjoyed a drink at 411 South Bar & Grill.
We didn’t have much time (just an afternoon before a cruise), and pretty much just had dinner. But the views from the sidewalk (and restaurants) were amazing. We went to Dania Beach earlier in the day, and wish we would’ve come here. If we are ever in the area again, we are going to make a point to visit this spot. The beach looked great, and there were so many places to eat/shop/drink across the street.
Here’s a short and natural 4-star Google Maps review for Las Olas Beach: ⸻ Las Olas Beach is a lively and energetic spot 🌴☀️ — a must-visit for party lovers and beachgoers! 🎉🏖️ The vibe is upbeat, with plenty of cafés, bars, and music nearby. The beach is clean, and the sunset views are stunning 🌅. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that’s part of the fun. A perfect place to relax, stroll, or just enjoy the buzz of Fort Lauderdale! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really enjoy coming to Las Olas Beach. I almost want to give four stars because the parking situation here is always awful. Pricing is absurdly expensive. But once you park, the beach line is huge never crowded. Lifeguard towers are appropriately spaced. We always see active people, jogging, playing volleyball, play basketball, good plan a family. Not a whole lot of party or a wild people.
We really love Las Olas Beach! The beach is always clean, there are foot and body showers, the sidewalks are well-maintained, and the boardwalk is perfect for biking, rollerblading, or strolling with a stroller. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and you can also buy souvenirs. The only downside is that the parking meters don’t always work, which can be inconvenient. We hope the meters are checked regularly to make it easier for visitors.
I like the beaches in this area downtown. Not as crowded as Miami Beach. There are various restaurants around When night falls, it is the best time for the whole family or couples. Single men and women come to walk barefoot on the beach A piece of white sand The best place for tourists to stay This is the most lively beach area in the city center. Fort Lauderdale's riverfront cultural and entertainment area is also relatively close. Recommended
Las Olas Beach is a beautiful spot, offering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The warm ocean water with gentle waves made swimming very pleasant, and the presence of showers to rinse off after the sea was a great convenience. The sandy stretch is wide and clean, lined with palm trees that provide natural shade and add to the tropical vibe. The beachfront promenade is lively and great for walking, yet the beach itself feels much calmer compared to the busier Miami Beach, which makes it an excellent option for those seeking a more tranquil experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the sun, and take in the stunning coastal scenery.
Now and happy to say : VIVA LAS OLAS BEACH!! Best beach ⛱️ ever. Maybe the fact that you are few steps from art galleries, restaurants, and plenty of ice-cream parlors is very reassuring. It used to be far more bohemian and music oriented, but still a fun place to be just to chill and be seen. Walk or not, pleanty and original public transport. Relax, it's a safe cosmopolitan place. Love the beach clear, transparent waters. Eat, drink, and be happy knowing you are in a great sandy beach. Cheers!
Las Olas Beach Review – Fort Lauderdale, FL Las Olas Beach is one of Fort Lauderdale’s most iconic coastal gems, blending vibrant city life with laid-back beach vibes. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, it’s a must-see destination that captures the essence of South Florida living. Atmosphere: The beach itself is clean, wide, and well-maintained, offering soft sand and clear turquoise waters. It’s popular without being overwhelming—especially on weekdays. On weekends, it becomes a lively spot buzzing with energy from tourists, families, spring breakers, and locals alike. Scenery: Palm trees line the promenade, and you’re only steps away from the iconic Las Olas Boulevard, which adds a picturesque urban backdrop to the natural beauty of the oceanfront. Sunsets here are especially beautiful, and there’s plenty of space to sit, stroll, or just relax and people-watch. Accessibility & Amenities: Las Olas Beach is very walkable, with plenty of nearby parking (though it fills up quickly on weekends). Restrooms, showers, and lifeguards are available, and the beach is generally very safe. The strip across the road is lined with restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops—perfect for a post-beach bite or drink. Best For: Couples, solo travelers, and families. It’s also great for paddleboarding, sunbathing, or just enjoying a chill day by the ocean. Drawbacks: It can get crowded during peak season, and parking rates can be high. Also, the party scene nearby may not be ideal for those looking for a completely quiet getaway. Final Verdict: Las Olas Beach offers the best of both worlds—natural beauty and vibrant city culture. It’s a fantastic spot for a day trip, romantic stroll, or casual beach outing. Whether you’re coming for the waves or the atmosphere, Las Olas delivers.
This beach was wonderful! The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed. We did rent some beach chairs and a cabana which definitely made our stay twice as relaxing. The beach had many visitors but never felt like we were on top of each other. Reality escaped our consciousness and it felt like the time melted away. There are plenty of souvenir shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is expensive so I’d recommend coming early and getting the most out of the visit. There was the occasional entrepreneur making their rounds in the beach trying to make a honest living but they were never pushy or disrespectful when we declined. Honestly if they were selling what I was looking for I would have purchased from them. This beach is must visit for anybody wanting to relax the day away by the oceanside in Ft Lauderdale.
Plenty of parking, make sure you pay for enough parking time. Because people are ready to give tickets. There is showers to rinse out and restrooms to change. There is a restaurant and a pier in this beach. Pay $2 to get in pier and get a nice view of the beach. There is a lot of seaweed, its mother nature doing its thing.
Lots of parking options some lots are costlier than others so my advice is to dig around a little before you go to find the best spot and hourly rate for you. Once there it is a blast! There’s tons of restaurants with ocean views to enjoy. Lots of people. Beautiful ocean. Shopping! The energy is great. You’ll definitely have a fun time here!
So far this is one of the places I enjoy the most. Any day, any purpose, any time of the year. The boulevard is great for a morning walking or running. The beautiful view, the music, the people, the service on every restaurant and the local stores make this place really enjoyable. The beach is great, warm, and beautiful, but very busy too. There is choice for renting chairs, plenty of restaurants, with a great variety of food. The service in this area is excellent. They have a high affluence during the whole year and therefore they are highly trainned to delivery the best service. Parking is available for a quote, somehow hard to find on weekends or busy time, but possible and completely worth it. Overall is an excellent place, on my opinion a great choice for a family time.
Travellers and Floridians beware of traffic bottlenecks and multiple gridlock spots due to road closures and construction sites on Las Olas Blvd until October 2019. Over the past few weeks the city has been building a new park and shopping center causing road closure and overwhelmed of traffic. Be patient and come with a good attitude. Parking garage is now open and the road has pizza shops liquor store and of course the world famous Elbow room.
Beautiful strip of ocean- bars- restaurants. Be prepared to spend more than average being that your ocean side. But your paying for the view along side with the beautiful ocean view. At night it comes to life it's no Miami life style but definitely a good vibe at night lots of bars that you can grab drinks and dance no dress code is required. Shirts and sandals or flip flops are permitted. Multiple bars you can pick from that plays all types of music. Two thumbs up
Nestled against the backdrop of pristine white sands, this beach offers convenient access with ample paid parking nearby. The ambiance is further enhanced by an array of inviting bars, creating a relaxed atmosphere for visitors. The shoreline buzzes with various beach activities, catering to diverse preferences. Entrance is free, and complimentary shower stations are scattered across the area, enhancing the overall convenience and comfort for beachgoers. Love it! Enjoy your time here!!
Fantastic vibe, a lot of people, plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to check at as you walk along the board walk. It’s like a mini Miami beach seriously. Only loosing a start because it was hard to find parking and it was $25 bucks for 4 hours on the street (we got lucky). There was also a moderate amount of seaweed in the ocean which isn’t as nice to swim in, didn’t bother me as much though. I feel like I’m getting picky after living in Florida for a year. 😆 It was really fun.
Nice clean beach with a beautiful long front, and amazing bars and night life. Such a great atmosphere. The beach in January was even packed. The reason being for 4 stars and not 5 being that there are definitely better beaches out there. In comparison to all the beaches I’ve been I’d rate 2/5 but I don’t think that’s fair so it gets a 4 in terms of individuality to itself. Life guards are present and attentive. And there is a place to go to the bathroom in the main areas across the street by CVS and hooters. It’s got a nice bike and walking path too.
It is a nice place to relaxe, eat, drink, or swim. Walk around and enjoy the site. It is ideal for the day or night. Bring the family out and rent electric scooters. All you have to do is download an app to scan the scooter's barcode, pay, and you're good to go. The price is very reasonable.
Had a good afternoon here. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Lifeguards on duty. Parking can be tough in peak hours but there is paid parking all around. It was pretty busy as the hotels are right there, and even though there are garbage cans there was a lot of garbage in the sand. There was some left-behind bags and even a random spatula in the sand. We had to chase a plastic grocery bag that rolled across the beach and out into the water that no one else grabbed. Farther up the beach is more privacy and cleaner sand.
White sands beaches and lots of pay to sit areas. The seaweed from the ocean lines the beach so be ready to step over to access the water. Water was very choppy this time of the year but still warm enough to get in and enjoy. Water looks gorgeous and the breeze never stops. The major issue is just the street noise with loud bikes and supercars and junkers always passing by, constantly. Areas of shade from palm trees and you can sit on the white beach wall and watch all day. Lots of water wash stations.
Swimable and plrasent beach. Not crowded at all during our week on vacation. Mostly clean beach with trash cans spced pretty often. Lifeguard huts every 1k+ feet with active lifeguard on duty. Had plenty of picnic tables with grills. Bring your charcoal. Public restrooms and shower spaces to rinse off sand. You have a couple of options when it comes to 'Pay to Park'. No semi or tall vehicles because clearance for one way to exiting park is 9' height due to a bridge. Would have given 5 🌟 if bathrooms remained open. The city is putting bars up on functioning bathrooms and bringing in portable toilets.
