Stopped by yesterday and honestly everything was excellent. I had the bandeja paisa, an empanada, and an arepa, and every dish was packed with flavor and tasted homemade in the best way. The bandeja paisa was generous and perfectly balanced, the empanada was crispy and fresh, and the arepa was spot on. What really stood out though was the service. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to when I’m craving solid Colombian food.

This is the best restaurant in North Beach Miami. As soon as you walk in, you are immersed into the beautiful din of the humming kitchen. Greeted by Lyda, the lovely owner, she welcomes you effortlessly while introducing you to her Colombian culture through her homemade food. My sister and I went for dinner and had a beautiful dish of steak, rice, beans, avocado, an over-easy egg, chicharrones, and a blackberry juice. It was so good and Lyda was such an excellent host, I returned the next morning for breakfast. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I had steak, sautéed onions, a huge plate of rice and beans with a massive avocado slice, a cappuccino, a passion fruit pineapple punch, and a bañuelo as I waited for my meal. To my left sat a couple from Missouri who has celebrated New Years by coming to this fine restaurant every year for the last decade - a testament to the passion, hospitality, and high quality of this restaurant. If you’re ever in Miami, you MUST come dine at Mi Colombia Cafeteria, it may just make you want to travel to Colombia on your next adventure like it did for me. Until next time!

We arrived after closing time, but the staff went above and beyond to help us. Even though we came from far away, they gladly prepared our to-go order and were incredibly friendly the entire time. They even offered us something to drink while we waited! You don’t see service like that very often. Five stars aren’t enough—highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

My friends and I were craving a traditional Colombian breakfast in Miami on our trip and were recommended this place by some locals. We went and had a great time. Lida and team were the friendliest and made us feel just like we were at home. The space is small but we had plenty of room and felt like we were dining with a large family. Delicious hot food, generous portions, great menu variety, and extremely quick service. Would absolutely come back again. This is a family owned small business and they have made a name for themselves in this community. We were happy to be able to support them and hope others will too.

First stop after landing at Ft. Lauderdale Airport—Mi Colombia 🇨🇴. My family and I were seriously craving Colombian food (Arizona just doesn’t cut it), and this spot came through in a big way! Food was 🔥, portions were huge, and the service? Next level. Lida was the sweetest—super patient breaking down the menu and just good vibes all around. Easily one of the best food experiences we’ve had in a while. 10/10 recommend!

A slice of Medellin in the middle of Miami. I had a Bandeja paisa and a buñuelo. The place has been there for over 36 years. Attending by their owners. A super nice lady, told to us about the history of her family restaurant and offered us a traditional Colombian dessert for free as a souvenir. Highly recommended!!

What a treasure to find this place! You will be so happy you went...especially if you want to feel like your back home in Colombia! As soon as I walked in I felt like I was back in Colombia with my grandpa going for the casero lunches. We were greated by Lida who is such a sweet and kinda women who welcomed us to take a seat at the bar oriented us to their menu. I ordered a Bandeja monañera, this plate can easily be shared by 2 people...but i would highly recommend ordering your own, because I promise you will be thankful to have leftovers. Everything tasted soo good! The jugo de mora was so fresh and had a real fruit flavor! There's so many things on their menu that I would like to try, especially with how good the Bandeja was. In conversation, I learned that Mi Colombia is a family owned business ran by Lida and her siblings that has been in Miami for many many years, if I remember correctly, she said almost 40 years. I only have amazing things to say about Mi Colombia, and I know I will be going back to eat again before leaving from my trip to Miami. The food here is amazing, the staff is friendly, attentive, and make you feel like you're having lunch at home with family. They make you feel special, from your very first visit, you can tell they take pride in people enjoying their food, welcomimg you in like family, and sending you home with ñapas. Gracias Lida por su generosidad!

Mi Colombia Cafeteria—it's simply a staple of Miami Beach, North Beach to be exact. I have been eating there with my Mom since I moved to Miami in 1991. This is the type of joint that has always been consistent in every relevant way: food, service, and ambiance. It's a humble place with very authentic Colombian food; it's like eating out of your grandma's kitchen. You want to have some good Colombian food, and for you, it's all about the food and a warm, welcoming vibe. This is your place! Enjoy!!!

The best Colombian food period. From the friendliness of the staff “they’re all family” to the food is a treat. Every time I have the chance to come to Miami I have to go visit them a couple times. The bandeja paisa is the best I’ve had till this day, has no comparison to the ones you find in Colombia. The empanadas are out of this world and they’re all meat, and the ají “home made hot sauce” is delicious, hot and vey flavorful. All the sisters Daisy, Lida, Gladys and Consuelo will make you feel at home. Please do yourself a favor and try their food, you won’t regret.

I went here yesterday for the first time and it was such a wonderful experience. The people here treat everyone like family. The food is incredible!!! If you get the chance, GET THE EMPANADAS!!! You'll thank me later. They are made with such love that you can taste it in every bite & if you like spicy stuff, definitely get the sauce for it. I also ordered the pork loin.... it was seasoned to PERFECTION. I can honestly say I'll be back and I hope you stop in to show them some love. They deserve more attention. 🥰🥰🥰 They made a forever customer out of me. 😍😍😍😍😍

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a child and the Original owners were alive. So this place holds a special place in my heart. No frills just pure nostalgia in a time capsule with cafeteria seating providing authentic Medellin food by Authentic people of Colombia. If you’re looking for a no-frills laid-back casual time capsule this is the place to go. That’s been around for over 40 years.

I have been going to this family restaurant for almost 30 years, and every time it has been a great food experience. This place makes you feel at home and the food is amazing. Not a fancy place but you will feel like your are eating your grandma's food. Will be going there as long they are open.

This little place blends easily into its surroundings, but is worth seeking out! The proprietor, Lira, is so generously kind. When I ordered the beefsteak dinner, she said, "That one takes a little more time and passion to create, you understand?" My thought was that this woman was my kind of people. The food is delicious and the environment of this tiny place is so embracing! You will be glad you found it!

I am new to this neighborhood and I stumbled upon this gem with my boyfriend. We walked in and instantly were greeted by Lida who informed us this restaurant is family owned and has been in this location for 30 years! All food is homemade fresh to order. I would like to firstly give a huge shout out to Lida for her kind caring welcoming. It felt so nice to be greeted and informed of this hidden gem on Miami Beach! The prices are very fair for the beach and the quality of the food & service is A+. If you’re looking for a warm delicious meal and to be treated like a valued customer this is your next dining adventure! I will be back to support this local business in the future!

Great place for authentic Colombian food and bakery. Highly recommended. Family owned business with excellent customer service.

Incredible experience walking in for a quick breakfast while in Miami for a friends wedding weekend. We were staying at a hotel about a 10 minute walk away and I found this spot on google maps. In south beach there are places that ask you to leave a 5 star review to game the listings so it’s sometimes hard to tell if reviews are real. Can confirm all reviews for this place are real and they didn’t ask or pressure me to leave a review. This is a locally owned spot that was MUCH friendly than we expected. They were very happy to accommodate in English or Spanish and were patient explaining some of the traditional menu items to us (we were unfamiliar with columbian cuisine). Prices very reasonable and generous servings of food. Service was fast, and the food was excellent. I had a bandera paisa plate which had a few types of meat, rice, beans, plantains and a nice fresh piece of avocado. My wife had an egg plate with a corn type of bread and cheese. To drink we had coffees and juices. The juices were especially awesome. The passionfruit is a classic awesome juice, but I personally would recommend trying the blackberry one. That one exceeded expectations! Finally, I wanted to call out how kind and friendly the two sisters who were running the place were. They wanted to know where we were from and how we enjoyed the food. They shared the business has been running for 39 years! Clearly the know what they’re doing. This is by far our favorite part of traveling. Very happy to have stopped in and hope to return soon.

We stopped in here a week ago for a quick bite. Boy, were we surprised when we bit into our beef empanadas! Sooo delicious...the best we have tasted in Miami so far. We paired them with a can of Apple soda. This is a small but very cozy little restaurant. A hidden gem. You may even walk past it without realizing. But do come back. I saw some of the plates other people were eating and they looked delicious. We were on our way to an event and couldn't stay long. Try parking in the back area. There is a back door also. We plan to be back very soon!

Spot looks a little small but the flavor and food is where it’s at ! .. One of the few spots to get a good meal under $15..Feels like your Abuela food ..even if your Spanish isn’t the best they make sure to take care of you .. my fav is the pollo frito with rice and beans and make sure you get the natural juice to with 🔥🔥🔥

Incredible food. Hard to find reasonable priced eats in Miami that deliver and this very much delivered. Service was friendly and attentive. The entire place was filled with locals who were welcoming to my family as we came here while on vacation. Will most definitely be coming back here when I’m in Miami next time

came here straight from the airport very hungry and we were not disappointed! The owner was immediately so kind and welcoming, asked us where we were coming from, helped us with the menu. I cannot believe they’ve been open for 38 years, run by the same family - hopefully many more. As for the food: the bandeja paisa was delicious, as were the scrambled eggs with arepa. And get some of that hot sauce! But we saw so many other items on the menu we would’ve loved to order. Come here ASAP!

I have been going to this family restaurant for almost 30 years, and every time it has been a great food experience. This place makes you feel at home and the food is amazing. Not a fancy place but you will feel like your are eating your grandma's food. Will be going there as long they are open.

The restaurant offers Colombian food of excellent quality. The dishes are flavorful, well prepared, and clearly reflect authentic cuisine. The establishment itself is not sophisticated, but it is clean, organized, and comfortable for everyday dining. However, there is one aspect that detracts from the overall experience. During service, staff members expressed unsolicited political opinions about the current situation in the country imigration. In a place where customers with diverse viewpoints come to eat and relax, introducing political commentary creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. A dining establishment should ideally maintain a neutral environment so patrons can simply enjoy their meal. In summary, the food is outstanding, but greater discretion regarding political discussions during service would significantly improve the overall dining experience.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. The food was cold and tasteless, and the staff were rude and unprofessional. Definitely not coming back and I don’t recommend it to anyone

ive tried with this colombian spot a few times and always just chalk it up as a bad day. but this is the last time i come for real, not only have they always been rude when we go, the food quality is always different. I was so disappointed when i opened my breakfast this past time. It looked like someone was mad and just threw it all in there. My food tasted like egg water was poured all over it, meat was stiff and not fun to chew, the size of the arepa…a joke, and thanks for letting me know how much the avocado cost. xx do better pls

Client for over 5 years until today that the woman on the counter was so rude to me. I had not even finished ordering when the woman started complaining about my order beign too small. Complained about me not having 5 dollars on my pocket and showed a defiant and aggressive attitude. Felt really unconfortable and disrespected. Im not coming ever again here

I didn’t even eat, as soon as I enter I said hi to the lady in charge and ask if they still had lunch (was 5pm) she never realized I said hi, and she got upset thinking I never say hi, then proceeded with sarcasm buenas tardes trying to be ironic, no a good way to welcome nobody, I just told her I said hi, but now good bye (I didn’t want to eat in a place with somebody giving that kind of welcome) then she said have a good day and get a better mood! So no nice

J

I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I was scammed twice. The food I received was incorrect and of lower quality than what I paid for. When I reached out to the owner, she refused to refund my money, even after I explained I would return immediately. This is unacceptable and not how customers should be treated. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values honesty, fair service, and getting what they pay for.
