Mi Lindo Ecuador Miami Reviews
Mi Lindo Ecuador is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious—the Seafood Rice was packed with flavor, and the “Bandera” plate was a perfect combination of Ecuadorian goodness. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the live entertainment made the experience even better. The musician had an amazing voice and played the guitar beautifully. On top of that, their handmade juices were so fresh and refreshing. If you’re looking for authentic Ecuadorian cuisine with a great vibe, this is the place to be! Highly recommend!
A must-visit spot in Miami for Ecuadorian food! I went with my family from Ecuador, and they were amazed by the authentic flavors. We loved the food, and the waitress was incredibly friendly. The restaurant has a very casual and welcoming vibe, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, there’s free parking, which is super convenient. We had the breakfast combo (fried eggs, steak or fish, and bolón), and everything was fantastic. The food was fresh, and the bolón was the best I’ve had so far! If you’re a fan of strong coffee, you have to try their black coffee. The naranjilla juice is also a must—it’s so refreshing!
Grate place to eat. The service was outstanding as soon as we entered we were greeted and asked to pick our own seats. The appetizer came out before the meal and was hot. Our main course was grate trying things that we never had. I recommend the Sango De camarón and the bolon mixto
My Ecuadorian friend brought me here; its one of those hole in the wall places that had really tasty humble food. I had an encebollado which is a fish soup (mine was fish and shrimp) it was super delicious and tasty. This place is definitely worth a try !
Really good Ecuadorian food, my favorite was the Mix Bolon I truly recommend it, soft blended green plantain, la Cazuela shrimps and fish, tremendously good. And I bought the Humitas for home delicious. Highly recommend it especially if you are Ecuadorian.
Delicious. We were on the way back from the airport and saw this place. Free parking in the lot. Food was delicious. De fish stew or encebollado de pescado was on point. Sancocho was delicious too.
One of the best Ecuadorian restaurants in Miami. Everything is delicious. Zero complaints. A must tried specially if you have never eaten food from Ecuador. If I am in Miami area it is a must visit for me!
I went with a friend who has been in Ecuador and told me this was very accurate with all the food they sold. The food tastes great and I was specially happy with the sodas, they have the ones sold only in Ecuador such as Manzana soda! This is the best and closest you can get to Ecuador and its kitchen. My friend and I were very much satisfied.
Delicious Ecuadorian food! We loved our food and beverages. We'll be going back frequently to enjoy this cultures food.
Excellent for Ecuadorian food. Very delicious.
The food is delicious, and they have outstanding customer service
Great service, the food was delicious, flavor, and ingredients. I definitely recommend it. Real Ecuadorian food .
My go to place for some traditional Ecuadorian food. I love the caldo de bola! It’s a plantain stuffed with yumminess. The heartiest soup you will ever try. This family style gem offers real Ecuadorian cuisine and will make you feel like you are in GUAYAQUIL ;)
Just came here because apparently there are only a couple of Ecuadorian places in Miami and this one had the better reviews, although there are some bad reviews mixed with the good reviews, I came with a lower expectation of the food, Service was not terrible as there were maybe 4 tables being served, the waitress was courteous enough to get a decent tip, The FOOD, I have been in living in Florida for almost 2 years and had 0 Ecuadorian food in this time, so I was craving some hometown food, and since I can’t buy everything at once I decide to try the Bandera, dish made with goat meat, cow trip, ceviche (shrimp and fish ), & yellow rice, big portion and the flavor was there, not bad at all, I will have to try more dishes so will come back to review some more food.
Great menu, and the food was delicious, I enjoyed it the bandera, we'll come back with my family, from Boston Ma.
Great food, fresh and delicious. Best quality/price from the people of the best country in the world.
Just went here this morning for breakfast! Had my favorite (Bolon Mixto) with fried eggs... I'm in heaven. Definitely going back soon.
This is my new favorite restaurant. It has amazing food, the service was beyond awesome. The best part of all is that the prices are great!
By far a true costeño restaurant! If you want to give your taste buds something to be thankful for then this place is here it's at. For those Ecuatorianos who feel home sick or someone who wants to try something different you won't be disappointed
Delicious Ecuadorian food just like mom used to cook. Family owned place so they cook and service like at home . 100% recommendable
We were visiting Miami for the first time and I found this place on Google. The food was so delicious and the attention a plus. We likely recommend this place. The Best Ecuadorian food.!!!
When I feel homesick this is the place that I go to, food is really good, service is excellent, the owners are extremely friendly, there is not a single thing that I don't like about this restaurant...
Great spot for Ecuadorian food, i think the only one in Miami. The wall has pictures of all their food in case you can't make up your mind. Buenisima comida Ecuatoriana, única en Miami! Gracias!
I love coming here to eat traditional Ecuadorian food. Small family owned business. Overall great service and good food!
The food was amazing! We had the arroz a la marinara! Definitely recommend this place
We loved the location and the quality of the food!! I felt like if I was in Ecuador!
It was an order for pick up. Food was ready and delicious. We loved it! Definitely get it again!
Best Ecuadorian food in South Florida. I ordered Bandera, and it comes with yellow rice, guatita, encebollado, and chivo stew for just $18. Love it...
The soup here is one of the best ones I had. Everything was fresh and unique. There is no way you won't like the food. Moreover, the service was fast and we received attention throughout the meal. This Ecuadorian food left me with an incredible taste that I will never forget. Very homey and quiet restaurant that allows you to dine happily. Do not even think before you decide where to have your lunch or dinner! Go to Mi Lindo Ecuador and make your day the best day.
We enjoyed all our food except the caldo de salchicha... that almost tasted as if it were going bad and they put way too much plantain stuffing instead of more blood sausage. That is the only down part, but maybe as we got there with only 45 minutes left. The rest was amazing
This is truly authentic equadorian food! The taste is incredibly delicious. It does not matter what you order, your taste buds will appreciate it! Here you will be greeted by a loving family. I highly recommend this restaurant.
According to my Ecuadorian boyfriend, this place is great and very authentic. It was so delicious! Service is amazing and welcoming and extremely helpful if you don't know what you're ordering.
I do t know what we had, my wife ordered everything. But what we had was great. Pork dish and something else.
Good Ecuadorian food. A little crowded on the weekends. Today the restaurant was crowded, waited about 45 minutes to get our food. The place is small so I don't recommend it for big groups. The food is great specially their bolones and Guatita which is what I always order. Customer service is not always great. As far as price it can be a little expensive.
The encebollado was amazing. Will come again.
My Ecuadorian family friends highly recommended Mi Lindo as the most delicious, native taste of home located in Florida. They were not wrong!! Everything was delicious and flavorful and the service was awesome! I ordered the Goat Stew and Green Plantain side and was suprised by the large portions given for such a cheap price! The goat was tender and seasoned amazingly, it was not all bone like most places. It was so good, I ordered entrees to go for me and my family and friends to enjoy back home! Definitely a must-try location!
If you enjoy typical food from Ecuador then this is the place for you. Everything that I have ordered here is just the same way that I remember from my childhood in Guayaquil Ecuador. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and the place is small but comfortable.
Food was sooo good! Service was great. They included a 15% tip to the price and then had a spot to give them another tip after you paid. Not the greatest thing because then you’ll be paying at least a 30% tip while thinking you only paid 15%. Other than that, this place is hella good.
Good food, very tasty. Like homemade food. Empanadas de viento, seco de chivo and a soup with fish. Service good, very attentive. I would ve liked to hear Ecuadorian music instead of a random playlist. Prices decent. My seco de chivo$15 , the soup around $ 15too. Empanadas de viento(2)$6. Yes, I do recommend this restaurant.
I ordered take out, and it was a huge order for a lot of people. The food was ready quickly, and it was delicious. Everyone was satisfied.
My family is from Ecuador and everyone loved the food. We got two different ceviches and two different soups plus two different entrees and all were delicious. The place has a small Spanish authentic vibe. Honestly I felt like I was in my abuelita’s (grandma’s) kitchen. Staff was polite and explained the food for my teen daughter who wasn’t very familiar. Service was fast but the place only had a few guests at the time. Overall great authentic Ecuadorian food. Good prices. We will return! We did order more food to take home too! :)
No compares!
Excelente Comida y excelente servicio. Todos son bien amables, muchas gracias !!!
Great tasty tipical Ecuadorian cuisine. I enjoyed a dish of seco de chivo with yellow rice and sweet plantains. And to wash it down I had a tall glass of cold quaker. I usually don't have dessert 🍨 but I'm sure that they have a tastey selection.
Nice food. Beef was a little bitter and food took a while to come out. Overall a good place for a meal.
Very good and reminded me of the food in Ecuador. Specifically the costal area. Some dishes were not very coastal based so I did not enjoy them as much
It's a very unassuming restaurant in one of the many Doral strip malls. However, service was prompt and the portions were very generous. I had the guatita (beef tripe) and it had great flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. I will be coming back to try more of the traditional Ecuadorian dishes offered.
I love this restaurant! The food ia really good and tastes very authentic. Some dishes dont use the same ingredients and it changes the taste somewhat but it is the best Ecuadorian restaurant in Miami. The service has always been great in my experienced. I took my friend from Fiji to try our food and she was delighted. Remember to check if the tip has been included as I made the mistake of paying twice without realizing.
The location needs TLC but the food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly. My go to stop whenever I crave a traditional Ecuadorian dish.
I really wanted to rate 5 stars for Mi Lindo Ecuador, because I'm from Ecuador and I love everything that reminds me of my country, but my experience in this place was not what I expected. They close at 7pm and we arrived at 6:15 so the server "was not in the mood to serve" 🤔 As an Ecuadorian. I know that it is very complicated to find the ingredients to cook our food, but that doesn't mean that the taste has to be so different. We ordered: mote con chicharron (mote was very good, but the chicharron could be much better) bolon de verde mixto (it was good) arroz con mariscos seafood (it was for my boyfriend, so he enjoyed the food because he doesn't know how it should taste but I tried and I knew it was not good) encebollado (not good) humitas (loved it) Then they turned everything off and gave us the check without asking. So I thought we were there for a long time, but it was 7:05 p.m. 🙄🙄 That was the worst part. But in spite of everything, I would return to eat my Ecuadorian food. Keep going, I hope you guys improve a little. Good luck.
Food is good. They have a very big menu. There a lot of room for improvement in the service area. As a note, tip will be included in your check.
I had the fritada and it was pretty good! The naranjilla juice was good too. It was the first time I had it. I also ate the bolon the quezo, It was ok, but it was huge! Actually, all the portions there are pretty big!
3 stars for service. They can be rude if you are not familiar with the dishes or if you ask for something they don’t have. But, the food is good.
Food is authentic Ecuadorian, so that is great. But the restaurant is outdated and the service is terrible.
Restaurante smalls really bad. Encebollado was not so good. Won't go there to eat again.
I have to say, that I love to give props to my countrymen businesses, but this time I can't, usually as a seasoned veteran of the culinary industry I give 3 opportunities to show your final product , and my verdict is 👎, guatita was overly sweet not savory as it should be , cazuela the same ( I'm sure they're using sweet peanut butter instead of roasted peanut paste ) , ceviche was tasteless , encebollado was nothing more that fish and yuca boiled in colored water , and the number 1 no no was seco de gallina , no trace of either cerveza , naranjilla or chicha de jora in the sauce , hen was dry and instead of maduro frito was an overcooked patacón prepped ahead of time and reheated before serving. No natural juices available , service is inefficient and prices don't match the poor product that you get .
Prices are not listed. Very expensive for what you get. Not really fresh. Stay away from the ceviches as they add lots of lemon to cover the lack of freshness.
Didn't like the customer service. Attitude!!! We asked for an encebollado w chifles. They bring the encebollado no chifles no nothing. We ask for the chifles and they tell us that they dont have. Uummmm how about telling us from the start. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Terrible service! The waitress had an attitude since the beginning. Ordered two bolones they were fine. Also ordered a seco de chivo and it looked horrible, nothing like chivo! Told the waitress and she took the plate and said nothing..
The food was salty, once we were served, the waiter never came back to check, they had live music single guitar player... Did not have some selective food.
Food was good ... It's been a while since I've had authentic ecuadorian food. Although it was a to go order, I was assessed a 15% tip when it was just a pick up order ... 🧐🧐 and after getting the slip to sign .. there was another "tip line" 🤨🤨 ... I'll be we extremely careful next time and 15% add on must be said to the customer prior to assessing the charge and tips are suggestive not mandatory.
This place is just not for me. Food was extremely salty, and the server was kind of rude at the beginning... I got better after I said thank you, I figure it out myself. I seriously thought my bill was going to be around 9 to 12 bucks lol... $21 for a soup and a soda.
Bringing down the rating because the restaurant DOES NOT TAKE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD for transactions less than $15.00. On 2018, almost 2019 this is ridiculous. Who carries cash anymore? Bad move on the administration's side. This is why small businesses do not succeed.
I was disappointed with the food. I ordered moro de lentejas with pork and didn’t like the seasoning of the pork chop, the rice was average. They were out of several menu items. My mom ordered a seco de gallina the special of the day, she thought the food was tasteless and the yellow rice did not taste fresh. . We will not be returning to this place. I really wanted to walk out if there feeling satisfied but that wasn’t the case.
The last time I was there was 5 yrs. ago. I was very dissapointed , the food I ordered was salty
Do not waste your money on this unpleasant restaurant. Food tastes sour, meat is not tender at all, flavors tasted like leftovers. Check some of the pictures, not tasty at all. No pierda su dinero alli..!!!
The attention is bad & poor on servings.. The bolon they make it with mozzarella cheese no good no good...picture below is salchipapa is mot good. Not recomened this place.
This place is so bad I’m writing this review while sitting at the table. Hands down the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Service is nonexistent. This place is embarrassing! Avoid at all cost. Zero pride of ownership and it shows.
Yesterday, January 21, 2018. I went to Mi Lindi Ecuador and I ordered encebollado. After I left the restaurant, I got really sick with diearreah. I had to go to the store and buy medication to help me. Finally, after taking the medication it stopped. This morning, I got up from bed and I had rashes all over my body. This is a very serious situation. The owners of this restaurant need to serve safe food the the clients. If not eventually they will be running out business for not taking the time to make sure that the food are serving is safe to sale.
Very poor customer service! I don’t recommend. I called in to make an order of bolon de verde de queso and the owner (guy) told me that they just had made mixed bolon de verdes, so I asked again if he could make two of cheese only as I can’t eat pork and he clearly told me “no” because they had made many of the mixed pork ones. In what world do you make an order at a restaurant and because they don’t feel like making it for the customer (although it is in the menu) they say “no”? At mi lindo ecuador, that’s where. They really need to put their customers first as it is because of the customers that the business is up and running. Without customers, the restaurant wouldn’t exist.
Awful Costumer Service!!! Waited more than 40 minutes for a simple dish. They don't have half of the menu. They expect you to know everything about their menu. Don't expect too much if you go...
The encebollado tasted like they used alka- seltzer water in it, I don't know what happened.
The taste of the food was terrible. It was a total waste. I have been there before but this particular time it was really bad
Food was ok , but ... I really do not recommend anyone to visit that restaurant the customer service and managment was horrible what dissapointed service Sorry better think to improve if you want to continue on that bussiness specially the ecuatorian image Bad, terrible
Rice was cold and old it just didn't taste right, portions are small for the price, they take 15% off your total as an extra tip and besides that their customer service is horrible, I had to go up to the counter to pay cause they never brought my check to the table, not recommended at all!!
I visited this place today and the food was not good. The table was dirty, the food taste like it came from the freezer to the table. It looks like ecuadorian food but it is not taste like one. I am ecuadorian and i had eaten many of our plates in ecuador, and i know how ecuadorian cook but the food in this place isnt ecuadorian. Not sure where it comes from
Way too pricey, Very little portion. Not good taste. I would not recommend this place.
This place really lacks time management, multiple tables waiting for 40 plus minutes for a simple order. The owner just engage a in conversations with friends and does mange the kitchen or prioritize. It took the waitress 12 minutes for a simple water and ice.
Terrible food. Smelly Seco de chivo. Still charged me even all I took was a small bite and complained. Tried to double up on tip. They include tip on bill and try to get additional tip. Dirty place. Will never go back. Health dpt. Should pay a visit.
This place is absolutely terrible. Do not waste your time or money here. We ordered a bolon de verde, churrasco and seco de gallina. The bolon de verde was bland, the so called churrasco was a regular piece of steak that was accompanied by old looking, brown disgusting fries and the seco de gallina was accompanied by half a plantain and was salty. The service is mediocre to say the least and they charged us for a so called churrasco that was really a steak. They also automatically charged a 15% tip. I'm so dissapointed as there are hardly any Ecuadorian restaurants in south Florida but I will definitely never return to this dump.
The poor waitress was running around like crazy taking care of 10-12 tables and the 2 ladies behind the counter just sitting there. They had to close down the restaurant at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon because they couldn't take anymore orders. While we were sitting there 4-5 customers came to the door and they took them out. My wife's chicken was raw and had to return it. I dont Reccomend this place at all!!!
Terrible phone service. Called 15 minutes before closing to order Bolo and they said no. Kitchen closed even though they close at 6. Will never visit this place nor recommend. Very disappointing especially that it was for a school project and this restaurant would have gotten recognition and free advertising.
I called to place an order for pickup, they told me to wait and after some time waiting this lady answers the phone to tell me “there’s no more” and I didn’t understand what she was talking about? I had to explain I was calling to place an order for pickup. She just said “is this Laura? No no no” and hung up. I called back and they kept hanging up on me. Horrible customer service.
Ask a professional Chief Executive. I can't recommend No! One to eat. This restaurant. Warning ⚠️ the state of Florida Miami. Need to check and make investigate about this restaurant Unger before another person get sick 😫
I called at 4:40 and a lady picked up. Told her I wanted to order for take out and she said to hold one second. After waiting for 10 minutes on the phone, another rude lady got on the phone and told me that I couldn't order and hung up on me. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere.
Terrible the food was cold. The staff was so rude, we had to wait for our drinks the server will not answer questions of the Menu or the bill. We had to wait 10 minutes for the bill. Just upsetting experience. Very sad not to have a good Ecuadorian restaurant in miami. Disappointed with this restaurant. I will NOT have any of my friends eat here.
Food was not good , looked okay but found her hair in it , terrible service . No one acknowledges you when you walk in. When it was time to get the bill it took forever to get her attention she would walk by and give no eye contact or look our way . 12 percent tip is included in the bill which is why maybe service is so terrible . We had 3 different meals. The pictures are not what you getting when you go there.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! NO COMAN AQUÍ, esta asqueroso! If I could have given zero stars I would have. WORST restaurant I have ever been to! And this makes me really sad because I’m from Ecuador but I would never go back to eat there. Absolutely horrible service, disgusting food, they lied about what was included in the plates, then we got served seafood that had gone bad! it smelled terrible and tasted worst, we made them aware and they barely even acknowledged us. Didn’t even apologize for it and still charged full price plus the added tip they already include in your bill. They should be ashamed of themselves. Leaving the restaurant nauseous and with hopes I don’t get sick or food poisoning from their disgusting food.
Don't ever order for take out. You get less than half the original plate size for the same amount and they charge an 12% gratuity... How they make you pay gratuity for less food and the taste was average. My Ecuadorian wife cooks better!
Horrible service, this is the 3rd time we go here (because it’s the closes Ecuadorian restaurant in our area) and every time the service is not good, but hasn’t been horrible either till now.. We’re a family of over 15 ppl, our waitress was stressed, overwhelmed and rude from the beginning. They had nothing that was on he menu. Ordered 8 appetizers and 2 beers, they could not serve us the beers till we received our food per the waitress because they didn’t have a “license to serve alcohol without door according to them”, we waited finally got the appetizers and ordered our meals. As my mother was eating she found a hair, we returned it and continued to eat, 15 min later found another hair on a different plate, this time we complained, our answer was well no one in the kitchen has long hair with an attitude. We were in shock of the service and response we received.. as we sat there the male cook (with a ponytail- hence hair) came out upset and angry that we had complained. They said “ don’t worry about paying and go, go with god”.. we picked up our things and left, I wouldn’t eat here if it was the last place in Florida. I don’t recommend this place to anyone, horrible, avoid the disrespect and mad faces in this environment.. so sad to see an Ecuadorian restaurant with such bad owners and servers. Such a disappointment
I'll been eating in this restaurant for so long. Today I went and the service was horrible. Elizabeth was our waitress and she wasn't pleasant at all. I think they changed chefs because the taste of the ceviche was weird also the portions are getting smaller. The encebollado was terrible, I don't think Im coming back to this restaurant.
I'm sorry but we ordered and the meat was salty and rice was undercooked. I am at a loss 😭 I thought this place was good by the reviews but 😞 my food was awful. Don't stop here.
The waitress brought our food, the Lentos taste like vinegar. I called the waitress, and I told her that these Lenters were bad. She replies. I’m sorry we left them outside and they got bad. The food is not fresh pretty bad.
The first few time my husband and I came here it was wonderful. The food and service was fine. We took our son that was here with his family from Tampa last week. Daughter in law ordered breaded steak (bistec milanesa) it was burt cardboard! I couldn't believe they would serve food like that. My son ordered una Bandera, he only got one small piece of chivo. The service was terrible, the food on top of it being bad, it took a very long time, the portions are super small and the prices keep going up. We will not be going back.
Very disappointing. My Mom was visiting and wanted to treat my husband and me to some good Ecuadorian food. She paid $100 for very regular food. The place looked pretty ratchet, the bathroom was unclean, and the live singer was bad (we tipped him just out of pity since nobody was clapping or even paying attention). My mom asked the waiter about the spicy sauce and his answer was literally: “I don’t know, they make it in the kitchen.” 🙄 The “empanadas de viento” were nothing like real Ecuadorian empanadas and the “maíz tostado” was stale. We all left half our food on our plates. We brought everything home anyway, but ended up throwing it out because we were getting stomach cramps. I honestly don’t understand why, with how AMAZING Ecuadorian food is, we can’t seem to have a decent restaurant representation in Miami. Barzola is also a disappointment, and COTOA is super expensive with their “gourmet” concept that completely misses the mark. Someone really needs to open a proper Ecuadorian restaurant here. We deserve better. 🇪🇨
We had a two plates that came with lentils "menestra" and they were both bad. By bad I mean the food was expired and had a acid taste to it. We told our waiter and all he did is take the food. He did not apologize and brought two plates of lettuce I guess to make up for serving us expired food. Either way this was a bad experience. If you are looking for an Ecuadorian food Save your money and go somewhere else.
This place used to be good.very disappointed for a 20$ soup with no chiffles..extremely over priced..regular food
This place is not good not too clean and the food is not like they show you on the menu
This has to be the absolutely worst restaurant in Miami. Avoid at all costs. It took them 1 hour 45 minutes just to get some rice and chicken. They were locking the door with a piece of wood as to not let people in because they were so slow.
