Naomi’s Garden Restaurant & Lounge Miami Reviews
The food is INCREDIBLE!!! So authentic and delicious. EThe seating area is gorgeous, it feels like you’re in a zen garden. Every single member of staff were super kind and hospitable, they made our experience great. Special shout out to Mello who kindly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful experience. 10/10 recommend this place!!!
Naomi’s Garden is the kind of place I respect. No gimmicks, just quality. The Soup Joumou was excellent. Deep, layered flavor and authentic Haitian cooking done right. The atmosphere is relaxed and well put together, and having Syndicate Kava Bar inside elevates the experience. You can enjoy a great meal, sit back, and actually unwind. Great quality, excellent service, and parking. I’ll be back.
We had the most delicious lunch at Naomi's. Most impressive is the wide variety of options, including many meat and vegan choices. The ladies who cook are gifted and the owner greeted us like long time brand new friends.
This place is such a hidden gem! My family and I came here to get food before flying back home and we couldn't be more happy with our meals. I got the king fish, rice and peas, and plantains. The portions are hearty for the price range and everything is beautifully seasoned. And you have to get their juices!! Perfectly sweet and refreshing! Not only that but the people and owners are the nicest people we've met by far in Miami! I cant imagine how beautiful and lively this place is at night! I hope this business prospers for decades to come 💕💓
The food was amazing with so much variety to choose from, and everything was full of flavor. I loved how delicious each dish was! The staff was friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d go back to! Great vegan options.
Melo and the servers are so welcoming and lovely !!!! The food was delicious and savory I can’t wait to try more items . My daughter lovedddd the place!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience
The service was fast! The food was very good!!! I suggest trying if you're in the area!!! Large portions..Definitely get your money's worth!!!
Our first experience with Haitian food and we totally loved it! Delicious hearty fare, large portions, very friendly staff who took time to explain and give recommendations. Location is quite out of the way and it took ages to wait for an uber the way back, but the food was definitely worth it.
The food was so delicious!!. Even the juices were a hit!. If I had to say anything I didn’t like would be the paper plates they serve the food in. We were traveling so after a while the gravy burst through the plates. I do understand that those plates however are great for the environment. The food was A1 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!
This restaurant was recommended to me by my sister. She raved about the pikliz and the mayi and raved about how Naomi's Garden is a must try, and she was absolutely right! The pikliz had just the right amount of acid and heat and complimented the richness of the fried goat tassot so well! The oxtail was tender and well seasoned, and the snapper was crispy and oh so delicious! The portions were huge so this is also a great place to eat if you're really trying to stretch your dollars. Our server was also really nice! Also the garden itself is beautiful! So many plants, and a nice canopy that we ate under while it rained. If you're in Miami, definitely stop by!
Best cubano sandwich I’ve had. Flat toasted Cuban Brest with roasted pork, ham, pickles, and mustard. A classic. The ingredients all together felt like each component was quality. The best part of the sandwich was the roasted pork. Succulent and juicy. Also doesn’t feel like they skimp on it.
The food was absolutely amazing!! I enjoyed every single thing! Very interesting atmosphere as well
pure authentic cuisine with a nostalgic front window where you can quickly order your food and continue on. the ladies in the back remind me of my aunts back home. hard working and humble
I've traveled many places and I must say Naomi's is by far one of my favorite places to get carribean food. They have a large assortment of in-house cooked eats seasoned to perfects. For meat eaters THE JERK CHICKEN IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED! There are also options for the veg heads including eggplant, legumes, steamed veggies, macaroni. My usual is macaroni steamed veggies plantains and passionfruit juice. Just one disclaimer; you may end up addicted.
The food is delicious! The prices are very reasonable. The garden area is beautiful with shady trees so it's comfortable. There's some chickens hanging out that make it a fun experience. I like that you can order food with the QR code at the table and they bring the food out pretty quickly. No waiting around!
We discovered Naomi's through a Netflix show and had never tried Haitian food before—what an amazing experience! We had the oxtail and jerk chicken with vegetables and fried rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. We’re so glad we found this gem and will definitely be back!
This place has the best oxtails in town! The cooks are super nice, the service is great, and the portions are huge — the food really fills you up. Overall, it’s hands down the best Jamaican-Caribbean-style fusion spot around.
Years ago I lived in Haiti, so I wanted some Haitian food while visiting Miami. I ran across Naomi’s and decided to visit based on the reviews. It didn’t disappoint! I had the Goat curry with rice and beans and the Mac and cheese. The portion was huge and it was all delicious, The seating area is a covered outdoor area and I LOVED that there were chickens running around. The space and the area, I felt like I was back in the homeland.
I’ve been dying to come here I saw this place on YouTube David’s been here channel & I can’t believe I haven’t found out about this place earlier. I had the tofu stroganoff & orka with rice and peas and pikliz. Everything was delicious. They have great vegan options. The portions are huge and for the price. My plate came to 14.00 with tax. You can’t find good meals under 20.00 now a days. I am definitely coming back & bringing friends
Heart nourishing food at its finest and it’s not for the typical south beach travelers. To be quite honest, my spirit felt like it was dying in South Beach where we are staying. Ventured out to Little Haiti and this home style food just brought so much joy to our hearts. Lots of vegan options and the spirit of the Caribbean was present. Granted we had this hearty food for breakfast, we’d love to see it when it’s packed and with music.
I ordered catering recently. They were professional and punctual. I’m happy to have found a Haitian restaurant with great service
I couldn't have asked for a better first meal in Little Haiti. The food was delicious and plentiful, with a different flavor in every bite. The owners are also super hospitable and welcoming, and they've built a beautiful garden area behind the restaurant where you can enjoy your meal surrounded by hanging lights, misting fans, and fountains with fish. It was like a dream. Definitely coming back.
I love that the food is displayed right in front of you so that you may see what you would like. I am a very visual person, and I need to see food before ordering. This little strip is rich in haitian influenced art, and has a chill vibe. There is also an area to sit in, and there was a Dj paying some midday music. There live roaster chilling in the mini area have an authentic feel as well, I felt like I was in a different country 🥂
Wow what a treat! Just stopped there on a whim after driving by and found the best spot for Caribbean food. I had the meatballs, collard greens, steamed vegetables and the flavors were amazing. My friend had the jerk chicken, rice/beans, steamed vegetables and we both can’t stop talking about it. The atmosphere, price and amount of food are worth trying it out. Recommended ✅✅✅✅✅
Haitian cuisine at its finest! I live in Tampa and heard about Naomi’s in Miami and how rich their history is and just had to go and check it out ! Man was it worth the drive as I was left speechless. I had got the very famous Haitian dish Legume with Passion Fruit! Love Love Love it! Highly recommend to everyone!
Great food - the jerk chicken ,rice and plantains were great. Large portions, we saved half for another meal. The garden is nice, but do keep in mind there's nowhere to eat with air conditioning. We came mid- day with temperatures over 90, and we decided to take the food home. Even In the shade, it was just too hot for us. But so glad we got that food! Well worth the drive.
You can't go wrong with this place. Fabulous place to eat traditional island food especially during covid. The food is delicious, portions are huge, and the large garden is a fantastic place to eat and chill out for a couple hours without being near anyone. There is a take out counter at the front where you can check out the option and order or, if you don't want to get near anyone, you can just head to the back garden and use your phone to order at your table and someone will bring out food to you. Make sure to ask for the pickelies, a spicy cabbage slaw that is my favorite. There is a stage with occasional live music and a couple cute chickens that roam about. Most of the food is naturally gluten free and there are a lot of vegan options too if that's your thing. The owner is a major foodie and is always experimenting with new options to offer so every time I've been here there have always been a few new hidden gems.
Really good food, highly recommended if you never had a chance to try this cusine before. Props for quite huge portion sizes.
Food was phenomenally delicious! The young ladies were very patient with me because I had lots of questions about the buffet food I’ve never had and was even able to sample some. 5 stars for flavor customer service and best of all the garden area you can eat in behind the restaurant! Can’t wait to come back to Miami Naomi’s will definitely be on my stops for food! Oh and loved the roosters roaming free and cocadoodaling lol! Love the vibe!
The food was amazing and so so was the customer service. We were able to meet the host himself and he was very down to Earth. Him and his brother. The food was authentic ,fresh and satisfied our taste buds. I will be back again!
Amazing food, lovely outdoor seating in the back garden. Friendly staff and resident chickens made us feel welcome. Good selection of food...and everything was displayed in the window so you can see all the food before you order. Definitely recommend this place. If you're not familiar with Haitian cuisine...try it! You will not be disappointed!!
They had pictures for every item on their menu. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Definitely coming back to try the oxtail next! The spicy Mac n cheese was 🔥
This restaurant is amazing. I've never had Haitian food and the business owner was very helpful in helping us understand the food and what we could order. My mother in law only speaks Spanish and the owner was also able to take her order in Spanish and help her with the menu. It also has great garden seating. Absolutely this is a must go place when visiting Miami.
Went here to grab lunch we absolutely love this place! it reminds us of our home Indonesia and the food is very similar to where we’re from. The price is very affordable and you’ll get a very generous amount of food. The dining place is huge and is a semi outdoor setting with lots of trees so the ambiance is very nice. The staffs were very nice too always serving with smiles! Definitely recommended!
The food was absolutely amazing! The curry goat, oxtail, greens, and peas and rice were all outstanding. Everything was a hit—highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back again.
Delicious food. Huge portions. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas and collard greens ($10.5). The place had a really nice casual vibe to it and the outdoor space was lovely and could imagine some pretty cool live performances having in there (which my friend I went with said they do have just not the night we were there) Customer service wasn’t bad, but it was a little confusing if we sat down in the courtyard if we would be served or had to order at the window outfront. Fortunately I went with a Haitian friend who was able to help me get things sorted out as we ordered.
I think I found my new favorite restaurant…I ordered delivery but from the pictures I see online the ambience looks amazing….You can’t beat the quality and price of the food here …I ordered the baked chicken and wow the flavor is outstanding, I taste all the seasonings without it not being over bearing …definitely will be back at least once a week ..5 starts
Goat? Jerk chicken? Got both and can't decide which was better because the goat was fall-apart supple and the chicken was nice and spicy, maybe medium heat to someone who can enjoy chips and hot sauce, but full of flavor of jerk spices. Oh and better than Key West Kermit's on the key lime pie (just my opinion) more of that tart/tang, beautiful aftertaste, and I enjoyed the most soft gram cracker crust even more than the shortbread at Kermit's. The Mayi Kole (like cornbread in mashed potato form with red beans and light seasoning) stick-to-your-ribs southern goodness and fantastically filling! I found the spinach to be worth the extra $3 but my wife's collard greens were delicious as well (we ended up mixing them for perfection). We very much enjoyed both the sour-sop (almost like a coconut drink) and lemonade fruit juices but they are pretty sugary so be ready; could have easily cut both 50% with water. Have to mention the kindness of the woman running the counter giving some food at no charge to a homeless person who showed up; the love is not just in the cooking! The eating area in back is spacious and had pleasant music, off time so empty for us but obviously plenty of room for large crowds we have no doubt come for this wonderful eating experience.
I get to-go meals at Naomi’s everytime I’m in this part of town. You can order at their service window by the main street. The food is so good, it a local gem. The owners are so kind and professional. I get the chicken curry, rice and peas, and the spinach. Also very good is the fried fish tofu/carrot stroganoff and the cornmeal. And their cookies are delish! So yummy!
It was our first time trying Haitian food, and we honestly didn’t know what to expect but this place completely exceeded our expectations. Definitely a top-tier spot! We ordered the oxtails, grouper, curry goat, and jerk chicken, and every single dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The oxtails were tender and rich, the curry goat was full of bold seasoning, the grouper was fresh and well-prepared, and the jerk chicken had just the right amount of spice. Everything was sooo good! On top of the amazing food, Mello greeted us with such a warm and welcoming attitude. She made us feel comfortable right away and took the time to make sure we had a great first experience. Outstanding service and incredible food. We’ll definitely be back!
We showed up unannounced with a large party from the LBA Basketball Program, and Naomi’s Garden handled it like absolute pros. Noam greeted us warmly and immediately helped arrange a buffet-style setup featuring all the popular Haitian dishes—everything was flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. The GM, Malinda, was extremely attentive, making sure everyone knew what each dish was and felt comfortable, and Matta was very professional and efficient while setting everything up. This was a real test of Naomi’s Garden’s ability to handle pressure and a big group, and they passed with flying colors. Beyond the amazing food, we genuinely learned about Haitian culture through the cuisine. Incredible experience—highly recommend Naomi’s Garden for both the food and the hospitality. 🇭🇹🍽️
Always an amazing experience. The food is excellent and hard to beat for the value. Vegetarian options abound, and the portions are generous. The ambiance in the back garden is beautiful, and the ladies behind the counter are always kind and helpful. Sabrina was super nice and took great care to explain every dish to me. Highly recommend!
I always stop at this place when I'm in the area. It was the first pan-Caribbean (Haitian?) spot I ate at when I moved here. I was grabbing an Uber eats order and figured I'd get some as well for me and the wife - FI-YUUUUUUUH!🔥🔥🔥 The food here is so delicious and the have all the Caribbean fair at a good price and very convenient. Man I grabbed some jerk chicken for the first time and rice n'peas yesterday with the oxtail sauce on the rice - the first bite was so flavorful and came with spicy punch. The server hooked me up with a generous portion too. Mesi!
Food was amazing. Large portions for great prices. The service and staff were all kind and accommodating. Especially mello she was an amazing server
Great food, huge portions. Chickens hanging out in the outdoor seating area were a vibe. Goat curry was super tender, and jerk chicken was spicy. Legumes were flavorful, and rice was cooked right. Girlfriend loved the plantains. Collard greens were fine.
Las comidas son super rica los personajes son muy muy amable también
Aquí los comidas son muy rico hay muchas comidas ahitianos muy rico y mucho comida También yo veo hay comidas por todos otro pais
Excelente servicio
The oxtail and jerk chicken was amazing. Collard greens need some love but they will work it out. They just opened. Staff and chef were amazing. I will 💯 come back !
Tried this place before, once, but only the jerk chicken. It’s incredible the authenticity and rich flavor you can find in the most inconspicuous places. This is a window style ordering with the food displayed for you to point out what you want. They have a back patio for sitting and a variety of different dishes and fresh juice drinks. I’m glad we came back and I’m looking forward to coming here more often :)
Be careful. The restaurant is located in a cringey area. Know what you want before you get there so you can order and be out. Use your card, using cash will get you unwanted attention. The food is typical Haitian food. I got the tassot kabrit, mayi kole, zepina, diri ak pwa avek sous pwa. There's a garden seating area.. It was a cool place to sit n eat. Just be mindful of your surroundings.
From recommendation by a friend I decided to try this fried snapper at Naomi’s garden and did not disappoint. I arrived to a huge line so placed my order online as I waited and it was ready in 5 minutes. Chill spot, chill garden, good food. Under $20 for fish, a side and base plus a passion fruit juice. They were out of tapioca so I didn’t try that this time.
I ordered jerk chicken, beans & rice, collards and plantains. Everything was super delicious, well seasoned, and they give you a nice portion size. Loved the garden & the chickens walking around but it was just too hot for us to dine out there with few fans so we ubered back to Miami Beach. I hope you consider in the future enclosing a portion of the patio for AC especially for tourists who want the dining experience.
Ok. Didn't have the food just yet (tune in next month for that review) but it looks & smells UH-mazing. The area is a bit far for Me but it's such a great venue that it makes it worth it. Cool setting. Fun open atmosphere. Nice staff. Again, I'll be back in October to try the food. My pictures are a little blurry. I'll add more next time.
Naomi's is a wonderful place for a quick lunch. Having said that, their patio will transport you into island time and you will find yourself peacefully eating and enjoying the view with no rush at all. Food at Naomi's is ordered at the front window cafeteria style but with delicious choices. Oxtail, jerk chicken and curry goat are among customers favorite choices. Pick your protein and two sides and off you go. The window moves a bit slow but it is the way they work.... no rush. (Be patient) Prices are very reasonable and there is no alcoholic beverages available. I had the oxtail with rice and peas and it was delicious. Highly recommend this.
Fui y el lugar es hermoso, muy buen ambiente, es súper cálido y acogedor, me encanta el lugar, a eso le doy 5 estrellas, la comida es buena, a eso le doy 4 estrellas..... les recomiendo el lugar sin duda.
Now I was really hoping the vegan food was great, but highly disappointed. The Legumes and Mac were good, but the greens and rice and peas were bad. The vegan greens did not have a lick of salt or any seasoning at all, bland. I mean I had to dress it up myself and was still disappointed. The rice and peas and curry chicken were bland as well. Not sure if it was because we went so late but nope I’ll pass.
This place when I came 2 years ago food was great when the man was there but now not so great I always enjoy a good hatian meal but that wasn't it hope next time it will be better I am willing to give them another chance and my mother inlaw was arguing with the lady in creole about having soft chicken skin on the chicken omg
The food is amazing, the outdoor seating is nice. The only complaint I have is of the service. There is an older woman who works and you can tell she doesn’t want to be there. You ask for something and she just ignores you. My plate was amazing and I do plan on coming back hopefully next time around
Was really excited to try the jerk, but I’m used to Jamaican style. The sauce isn’t jerk sauce it’s stew gravy. The chicken was a little dry and the spices were more smoked than “jerk.” The rice and peas were good but the sweet plantain was hard and dry. Overall I was happy to find this option but would consider trying something else to eat if you are looking for traditional jerk. Maybe the ox tail, goat, beef, fish dishes would be better, may try one of those next time.
Ordered Brown Stew Chicken, but got Hen. I don't eat Hen so my husband ate it. The mac and cheese was very spicy. My husband ordered peas and rice. They gave him black beans on the side that had only 5 beans w/ the juice of the beans mainly. I live in Georgia,so I was disappointed in the appearance of this place. We only took a chance on trying the food because the place had plenty of people coming to pick food up.
I heard about Naomi's online and wanted to try it while visiting S. FL. I was a little let down by the taste of my meal, but I think that was due to my choice. The portion sizes are enormous, so you def get your money's worth. I'll try them out again in the future and when I'm not in such a rush too.
We were told of this place by our Tour guide in little Haiti. The garden in the back to eat is awesome. We ordered our food in the front and took it in the back to eat. I had the three vegan meal - jerk jackfruit, sweet potato and curry bean stew. I have had jerk jackfruit at numerous places before and this was one of my least favorite here. I eat everything on my plate except the jerk jackfruit. The others in my party said there food - fried goat meat and chicken, was just ok. Been here, done it..that's it.
The food is good, and consistent. But they have 🪳 roaches and are rude. Like they will literally stop serving you to have a personal conversation and they don't wear gloves when preparing food and then handling money. Do with all of this, what you will
Saw this place on IG! Food was good, fresh. I went here super last 40 minutes before closing. Outside atmosphere was nice. I would definitely like to revisit during the day. The parking situation was a little difficult. Not that much parking spaces available. All in all the price was very reasonable.
Employee wasn’t welcoming or friendly. The soup joumou was room temperature. The jerk chicken was room temperature. The curry goat and rice and beans was very good. The collard greens were cold. The pikliz is very good. The Mac and cheese was very good! This place has potential. Better customer service and food temperature control would’ve made it 5 stars because the flavors are there for sure.
I gave two stars because of the pikliz and the sweet plantain other than that it’s a NO. I order because of the reviews and I must say i’m very disappointed and will not order again I ordered fried turkey and crispy plantain they were not crispy and add baked macaroni the macaroni I received is burn I’m Haitian and this is not Haitian food.
I order from here while I was visiting Miami. The food was not good. The rice was dry. The fish was also. The individual that was with me stated their fried chicken was dry to. There was no sauce for either meals. The passion fruit juice was little sweet but good. It tasted natural but I also feel like it might be store bought.
We went to the location in Miami Beach and it was a horrible experience. There was little human interaction when you first walked in, just a kiosk to place your order. There was a bartender there when we arrived but she was wholly inattentive and not very helpful (didn’t even realize she was the bartender as she was sitting at the bar chatting with her friends as if she was a patron). With so many eating options nearby, this place has to step up their customer service game as their food alone (which was decent but not spectacular) is not going to sustain and drive the business they need.
This is a very small place where they serve people by window 🪟 ! Girl who serviced me wasnt good at all but their food is not bad , they should improve the customer service , food is good .
Customer service at the window is being horrible. Spending my money but acting as if I'm bothering you for asking for assistance is CRAZY!! She saw me standing at the window while she was obviously making her a to go plate, made eye contact but act as if I want there. I'll take my little money elsewhere
You sent me a plat of rice and macaroni where is the legumes. This is unacceptable like really you call this a meal I wanted vegetables and got a plat of carbs😒😕. Last time ordering your store has gone down! I know y'all not trying to tell me what legumes are. I have been ordering from you for a while and I find it insulting that you are patronizing me. I may not be Haitian but I know what legumes are. Also there is a description of what you are serving. Pikliz is not legume little little bits of okra is not legumes. I honestly don't see how you replied to my review with my picture of rice pikliz and mac and call that legumes. There is no veggies but the bits of okra atop the rice Definitely not ordering from you ever with that patronizing response that you could have kept. That was the second time you sent me a plate of rice with no veggies. How are you going to ask me if I received legumes with a picture of what you sent me as a meal. By Felicia
I'm vacationing in Miami & thought that Naomi's would be an excellent place for authentic carribean food. Not so at all! The meat was tough, seasoning terrible, burnt, & just awful. I spent $85.00 on trash to feed my family & was very disappointed in every way. I will not recommend this restaurant or will I ever eat from the there. What a waste of my money & my family is still hungry.
Absolutely disgusting , old Mac and cheese! After I taste it disgusting I found a sticker cooked in it and I ordered the jackfruit curry and there was no jackfruit! Ah yes well least I have black beans for lunch, NOPE!! NO BEANS IN SIGHT JUST BEAN JUICE 🤮 Food quality super poor. No never in my life again
Ordered online for my parents and I ordered a red snapper meal as well as a turkey tassot. They left the plantains sitting in the oil refried because they weren't crispy they were full of oil and soggy and as you can see in the pictures there's no fish or black beans. The turkey was refried and hard and dry. I definitely will not be ordering again. They treat the tourist better than actually residents but I'm definitely going to try to get my money back. How dare they. This isn't even quality Haitian food. When the old Haitian woman Naomi actually owned it the food was way better. This is just horrible.
Just stopped in for 2 plates for take-out, 1 being a plate of jerk chicken with rice, peas, and cabbage and the 2nd plate being ox-tail with rice, peas, and also cabbage. So I’ve been eating Jamaican food for about 25 years now and never felt I had to leave a review and actually never did because I was always happy with my amazingly flavored ox-tail no matter where I would get it. But today for the first time ever I can honestly say that the ox-tail here at this place was very poorly flavored, cooked, and marinated as to why I’m leaving a negative feedback about it. The portion was a generous, full, big, portion for the price of $23 ( AS IT SHOULD BE) but once again the taste of the ox-tail was as if someone with no experience in the kitchen cooked it and all I really tasted was that it was spicy. SORRY, NO FLAVOR IN THE OX-TAIL WHAT SO EVER!!! I also ordered the jerk chicken but will try that tomorrow.
I ordered from here as a recommendation from a friend and I can promise you I will NEVER order again. Not sure if this was because it was the end of the night before closing but I ordered an oxtail plate and many of the pieces of oxtail were under cooked. Color hue of the oxtail was also off however I thought maybe their browning process was a bit different, but that was not the case. 75% of the oxtails were not cooked after you ate past the first bite. I'm not one to take time to write reviews but as I have time going back and forth from bed to the toilet a day later as I suffer from food poisoning at the moment I figure I had the time to write this review and please ask that you guys are not pushing food out that's not prepared just because it's the end of the night or it's the bottom of the barrel. You're better off just making the item unavailable in the system or sold out for the day instead of sending poorly prepared food, it takes a few minutes to do in the system. Hoping Ubereats verify a full refund and I will definitely never recommend this place. If I could give negativ stars for how sick I feel right now I would.
I went here a 2 days ago and got VIOLENTLY SICK!.I'm now haven't enough strength to write this review. This place needs to be inspected immediately!!!!!
I preface my review by stating that I first started eating here in 2017. As of lately, maybe the last 3-4 years, cutting corners has been beyond obvious. Ordered my usual, Turkey Tassot, and the meal barely came with any turkey meat. Mostly all fat and hugely disappointing. Not to mention that I ordered ahead for pickup and I arrived a generous amount of minutes after the time my order was supposed to be ready. The order wasn’t ready of course and once I got it it was the worst and most dissatisfying. I really appreciated this place for its local feel but I’m beyond over it and won’t be back
The bigger girl with the blue in her dreads always has a horrible attitude and make people feel unwelcomed. Been a regular for a while and unfortunately will go somewhere else from now on if she is there when i go to order. The constant attitude for ZERO reason when Im there to spend my money is not something Ill put up with any longer no matter how good the food is!
The first thing I noticed upon pulling up at this restaurant was the putrid smell coming from it. Everyone in my car started to gag, including myself. The smell was horrid! There was no parking and the place looked run-down just like the neighborhood. I came to this place because a Haitian friend of mine suggested it, stating that they have the best Haitian food. You order outside at the front window, then walk around the back to the seating area if you want to dine in. But there was noooo way we were going to sit in the nasty funk. 🤢🤮 The food did not look appealing at all. It was difficult to make a selection because everything looked gross and the other patrons there just stand and stare at you for extended periods of time, even before you get to the front of the line. It's so rude and uncomfortable but I always notice this amongst Haitian people. They love to stare at you and don't care how you feel about it. 😒 The person I was with ordered jerk chicken, mac & cheese, and brown rice. The portions were very generous and the server was pleasant. Taste: The food was as bad as it looked. The Mac and cheese was mushy and only had cheese on top. The rice was bland and the jerk chicken was only palatable with barbecue sauce added to mask the taste. Even then, only one-eigth of the food was eaten and the rest was discarded. My son had diarrhea after only a few bites. It made him violently ill. We will not be returning here ever again. Maybe this is only a place Hatians enjoy, but it wasn't for us. I apologize.
They give u what they want to give you if you order online for delivery! This has happened to me 3 times, I will NEVER ORDER AGAIN. Like how I order vegan and u give me MEAT. Then I called and it’s because you’re out? Cancel my order whether to giving a vegetarian MEAT! This time. I got nothing at all and I ordered jackfruit! Ridiculous
I wanted to try this restaurant so bad and let me tell you that it was a big disappointment. My family and I pulled up at around 3:00 pm so exited after a long drive to eat. First of all, the look from the window was deceiving and I still wanted to try it. Food was bad.Spicy and salty meatballs.the rice had a very confused taste to it to say the least.I m so sorry but maybe it was the wrong time to eat there since I have seen so many positive comments on YouTube. To top it all up, I went and used the bathroom. There was a horrible smell coming out of it as soon as I opened the door. So please you guys can do better. As far as me, I unfortunately and respectfully won’t be going back. Thank you
The food here is TERRIBLE. As a Jamaican, this is NOT Jamaican oxtail, jerk chicken, coleslaw or rice and peas. The rice had few beans in it, even corn was in it- it was hard and dry. The oxtail was hard and just not Jamaican-style. The jerk chicken was salty. I hate it when restaurants adapt the Jamaican cuisine and give it a bad name. I do not recommend!!!!!!
Hice un pedido de Delibery y el pedido fue servido en un plato de cartón llego en malas condiciones la comida era un desastre aunque pedí el plato más caro
