Prime Italian Miami Reviews
Phenomenal Italian food in Miami! Did not see it coming, but this is a classy place serving extraordinary portions of a very high quality product! Happening atmosphere, a great crowd to boot! Winner for sure!
Miami Spice is amazing! 45 dollars 3 course meal not including the complimentary BREAD we had the tuna tartar I had the wagyu meatball on spaghetti my wife had the branzino and OMG the fried oreos with vanilla ice cream
I’m too poor to actually eat here, but the apple caramel cinnamon crostata is a great yearly tradition for me!
I can't say enough nice things about this place. Every dish was amazing! Service was top notch. Venue was lovely. From the beginning, they brought out complimentary garlic cheese bread that was the best I've ever had. Notable appetizers: meatball, scallops and short ribs Steaks were great. Truffle mac and cheese was really good. Cocktails were nice. All in all, it was a wonderful group dinner.
Came here to celebrate my Birthday and it lived up to my expectations. The hostess (i forgot her name) was so nice. My flight got delayed twice which pushed my reservation time back. I called and explained to her what was going on with my flight and how it was Birthday. She said as long as I make it by 1am I'll be fine. I arrived to the restaurant at a quarter til 1am and was treated with great service and was not rushed at all. My waiter Bryan was nice and took good care of my table. Dinner was great, absolutely no complaints besides them being out of their famous bread. I thought it was because I arrived to the restaurant at almost closing time but Bryan informed me they had ran out of bread 3 hours prior. The Italian salad was so fresh, light and flavorful. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni and it did not disappoint! Great flavor, some of the best pasta I've ever had. I can't remember the name of my cocktail but it was Branson cognac with guava. That cocktail was sooo good. For dessert I had fried oreos and they were delicious. I would definitely come back here and hopefully next time I will get a chance to try their bread
'AMAZING Perfection' Thank YOU Awesome Carly and The A-Team!!!!!! Phenomenal Superior Service, Appetizers Meatballs and Jumbo Shrimp Outragously Superb Cuisine, 5 Star Every Tier! This place needs more awards! Or maybe I just missed them. This tucked away land of magic has great food and great service. Our Cathy was great! The Food was Amazing! I urge you to leave room for dessert. The Lemon-drop Cocktail was delicious and possessed subtle flavors.
Dining at Prime Italian isn't just an evening out—it's a masterclass in indulgence. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that whispers old-world glamour with a Miami edge. The lighting is low, the energy high, and every detail is calibrated to remind you that this is no ordinary night. The chicken parmesan arrives like a mob boss in a tailored suit. No frills, no apologies—just obscene perfection. A golden, fried crust that cracks like a crème brûlée, revealing tender, moist chicken and a molten strata of mozzarella that could silence a table. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you why Italian-American cuisine will never die. It's not food. It's religion. Then there were the oysters. Sweet Neptune. Each one tasted like Poseidon's kiss—briny, cold, alive. They didn’t just taste fresh; they tasted necessary. Like they were pulled from the ocean that morning, still singing songs of the deep. I washed it down with an amaretto sour that danced the fine line between sweet and bitter like a lover who knows exactly how to tease. Balanced, nostalgic, and just dangerous enough to make you order another. The dessert wine? I don't remember the name either. But what I do remember is how it felt—liquid silk with a memory of apricots, honey, and the best mistake you ever made in Rome. Service? Flawless. Not robotic. Human. The kind of hospitality that makes you want to send a Christmas card. Prime Italian isn’t a restaurant. It’s an experience. And if this is indulgence, may I never be forgiven.
4.82. Very, very attentive. The bread was great, the mashed potatoes were great, good portion size. Nothing mentioned that the "Kobe meatball" is not just beef. Not much short rib on the risotto. The menu didn't show any non-alcoholic drinks. Why force me to ask 10 questions? Overall, very nice,
We had a res at Smith&Wollensky before coming here. My gf was hungry for a quick pasta snack and drink first so we stopped by here. The bar staff was excellent (especially Robert) and talked us into trying their 1lb Kobe meatball meal. It was amazing and completely filled us both up. We had leftovers and skipped S&W. Definitely check this place out if partying in South Beach!
We had the most amazing dining experience, from the host to the bartender the service was top notch! The bread is amazing, my husband and I shared several dishes and each one topped the one before. Oysters were to die for! I wanted some extra spice in my rigatoni alla vodka and it was the best pasta I’ve ever had! We sat at the bar and everyone around us were locals who come there weekly, everyone was so friendly. Just an all around great experience!
Best italian food in miami hands down. The cheesy bread is addicting
Let me start by saying “Thank you!” I came here last night to celebrate my birthday and believe me when I say, I was so pleased. My whole experience here has always been top tier! Management here and at the Steakhouse has always been top tier. After having dinner, we decided to order dessert and my favorite is the bread pudding and I believe because it was so late after 10pm they ran out and I was like, oh no! So I asked the waitress, if they could see if the other sister restaurant had any that they could get me some and not knowing she listened. Minutes later the manager came over and told us that she would check. She came back and said yes and they would prepare it. She walked over, picked it up and delivered it to our table. I am truly thankful to her. I really felt special on my birthday. So I just want to say, Thank you. PS. The food has always been excellent. We had the Kobe meatball with Spaghetti and the seafood Fettuccine with Alfredo sauce.
Prime Italian has delicious comfort food. The portion sizes are enough for 4-6 servings. My preference is freezing the additional servings for simplistic meals later. I have been a customer for several years and watched the prices increase. The restaurant is a good value for the quality, portion size and flavor. My preference is delivery with UberEats directly to my Miami Beach condo, and the pasta dishes are amazing fresh and later reheated.
Had the most wonderful experience dining with friends. It has been a long week in miami and it’s just Wednesday but when we finally arrived at Prime Italian all my stress swept away with my first cocktail. The shrimp scampi was exactly the remedy to my misery and I definitely can’t wait to treat myself to an enjoyable self recovery dinner again.
I never write reviews but this restaurant is definitely deserving. We were in for one night from Toronto and decided to give this place a shot for my birthday dinner. The portion sizes were huge and the food was amazing. We often frequent Italian restaurants and this was above and beyond. We had the chicken Parmesan sliders and the spaghetti and meatballs. They were both to die for. Our server was Hallie and she was amazing. She anticipated all of our needs and was extremely efficient. She even recommended some other bars for us to check out after dinner on her own accord without being asked. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
If you are looking for a fine dining Italian restaurant, this is the place to be. We had the Kobe meatball with ricotta as an appetizer and it was excellent. I also had the veal parmigiana and house made gnocchi which was fantastic. Our waitress, Katherine was great! Prime service and food at Prime Italian!
After 7 years in Miami we finally found an amazing Italian restaurant. Excellent food and great service.
My first time at prime Italian and I loved it, started off with calamari appetizer which was fantastic (so my friends said, I don’t eat seafood) and shots of chilled don julio for the table. For my main course I had the filet, butterfly cut. (I know, I know, don’t judge me) and a side of Mac and cheese. I loved the whole meal and was left full and satisfied. With no room for dessert, we had another round of chilled shots of Julio and continued our night. Amazing dinner, would definitely recommend.
Great experience all around. Staff was lovely and accommodating. They knew how to read a room. And the food was delicious. I got the tuna entree and it was one of the best tuna dishes i’ve ever had. Bright and fresh. And the wine was fantastic.
Prime Italian is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami Beach. Start with the cheesy bread with tomato sauce (you can't stop eating it). The food is always fresh. Try the Branzino and the filet with creamy horseradish sauce with a baked potato with all the extras. If you are looking for a romantic evening, this is the place to go. Grab a handful of the free chocolate mints on your way out!
AMAZING !!!! Omg everything was incredible ! The service, the food and the views. The complimentary garlic bread is delicious. Table was constantly being cleaned, refreshed on water and checked on. They even packed our leftovers! I ordered chicken parmigiana and laughed as soon as the plate came out … it’s HUGE ! Samples can for sure be shared. Fiancé and I had such an amazing dinner, I highly recommend you check out this restaurant!
Let me start by telling you that the drinks were perfect. Great atmosphere bartender hit the spot. We enjoyed happy hour and then we moved on to dinner. The waiter recommended one of the specials which was a lobster ravioli with extra lobster and a reduced wine sauce, delicious. I recommend this for anyone who is in the air.
Absolutely amazing experience!!!! Hugo took the best care of my daughter for her 30 th Birthday!! Had the Best night ever!! The food and drinks so amazing!!
Plates are excessively large, but easy to share so don’t be fooled by the reviews on on the price. The lasagna and the chicken parmigiana are outstanding!
Our first time dinning there and will definitely not be our last. My fiancé and I both had the house specials for that night. I had the blackened snapper filet topped with lump crab and asparagus. The portion was so huge. I tried to finish it but ended up taking the rest home. My fiancé had the seafood stuffed ravioli topped with Lobster bites and caviar. It wasn't a fan of the caviar but he loved the dish overall. We also had crab cake as an appetizer. They brought out a complimentary in house made garlic bread loaf which is not pictured. The bread was so fresh and steamy we devoured hence no picture. We also had 2 rounds of the watermelon martini which was made perfectly with the right kick. Oh and we took out desert to go which was Redvelvet Cheesecake my favorite. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and specials.
First, I'll start with the atmosphere. We dined inside and the atmosphere was very nice and upscale to the point you almost forget you're beachside. We received a cheesy bread loaf before ordering and I almost died. That bread wasn't just delicious, it was PERFECT. I know anyone reading this will be thinking "It's just bread. How good can it be?" It is delicious enough that I immediately ordered another loaf and thought to myself that it was good enough to be a meal on its own. The marinara sauce was the best I've ever tasted, and number two isn't close. Then I tried the appetizer, which for me was the fried mozzarella. Amazing! Simply amazing! For my entrée, I had the 1 pound meatball, and substituted angel hair for spaghetti. At this point, the place was already a homerun, but the entrée knocked it out of the park all over again. I've been to a LOT of fine dining places, and rarely do I say the food is UNDERPRICED. This was such an amazing experience that I'd pay more than they charged (but shhh... don't tell them that 🤣). To top it all off, the service, on a scale of 1-10 was a 12. How? Not only were they incredibly professional, prompt and especially courteous, but they were also warm, engaging, friendly and funny as well. I am kicking myself that I can't remember our professional's name (thank the tequila shots I had later that night for that), but he was the super cool guy originally from Catonsville, Md and a huge Ravens fan. 5 star experience... EASY. Highly recommend and WILL return.
I had to apologize to the chef due to my misperception of Italian food, thinking everything was just tomato based how wrong was I. This food was so delicious. I’m so glad I took the floor host advice. He told me to order the filet mignon Flat cut and do the crab stuffed ravioli top with lobster and a creamy sauce with caviar gave me a surf and turf type of ordeal🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A gorgeous Italian restaurant where the food is made fresh. The garlic bread should be for celebrities only, lol. The spicy Rigatoni is amazing. I wasn't feeling the chicken Parmesan (fam), it wasn't for me but others loved it. Don't ignore this place. it's just as good as Prime 112.
This was my first time visiting Prime Italia. I read great reviews regarding the delicious food and atmosphere so I decided to try it out. I started with a Sangria with Red wine along with an appetizer to get things started jumbo lump crab Cake 🦀 The house cheese bread with marinara was delicious and for my main course, I ordered the spicy rigatoni. The service was amazing! Thank you to Robert who is the bar manager. I will eat here again 😊
Gosh I love this place. We went to Prime 112 in 2021 and this year we visited Miami again for my birthday and 10 year wedding anniversary and my husband surprised me with a birthday dinner at Prime Italian and everything from the service to the food was top tier. Our server Catherine was absolutely beautiful inside and out(her brows, skin, and teeth….*chef’s kiss*) but she was so sweet and so knowledgeable about the menu and she told me about some things that weren’t on the menu so I ended up getting the lobster ravioli and my husband got the Wagyu risotto…..OMG. SO good. I left full and happy! Happy Birthday to me :) I would recommend this place to everybody and we will be back!
Prime Italian is hands down one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Miami. Whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to visit this incredible establishment. And let me tell you, it never disappoints. On my recent visit, I decided to indulge in their scallops, which are technically listed as an appetizer, but trust me, they can easily pass as a full meal. The scallops were cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, and bursting with flavor. I savored every bite and thoroughly enjoyed the dish. Prime Italian continues to impress me with their impeccable food and exceptional service. It's a must-visit restaurant for anyone in Miami.
Miami Spice 2018: back again and the food is delicious as ever. Everyone loved everything we ordered- some would even go as far as to say it was the best Miami Spice meal of the year. Highly recommend: Tuna appetizer, branzino, spaghetti and Kobe meatball, and fried oreos. Miami Spice 2017: the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was very tasty, the service was great, and the ambiance is comfortable- not too loud, nice lighting. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
Special Italian food in South Beach. We had the spinach and kale pizza, veal parmigiana, and lamb chops from across the street. Bartender Robert really make it a memorable experience. Will definitely be back !
We LOVE Prime Italian. Amazing food and especially beautiful to sit outside. We had a wonderful experience with Katherine as our waitress. I was so impressed with how she knew the menu like the back of her hand, and she was knowledgeable regarding my gluten allergy too. 10/10 recommend. We first came here 2 years ago when visiting Miami and haven’t stopped talking about it since!
Easy location to get to. Don’t know much about parking since I took a Lyft. Wasn’t crowded when we went. Got seated right away. Cocktails are decent. The bread was amazing!!! Best bread - had garlic, crispy cheese on top and lots and lots of butter!!! I could have just eaten this for dinner lol Ordered sea bass - one of the best that I’ve had. Not too salty or buttery. It was perfect with the accompaniments and their yummy sauce. Ordered salmon - was ok. The accompaniment salad was more tasty and impressive than the salmon. Their meat balls were juicy and phenomenal according to my friend. Lol. Basically — Amazing food! Would recommend when you come to Miami. Not hungry!?? Just get a cocktail and then munch on their amazing bread... I miss that bread!
Five of us went here on New Year’s Day (1/1/2026). We had a nice table outside (it was a beautiful evening). Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. We’ve eaten here before and aware that portions are large, so we knew not to over order. We had a large salad to start, and then shared the chicken milanese and chicken parm. got a side of broccoli. Everything was delicious. Prices are reasonable (at least for prices in the South Beach area!). Always a good go to spot!
Great restaurant came here for our anniversary. We both ordered steaks. The steaks were melt in your mouth amazing. The sides are huge as well as the desserts. Plan on sharing to reduce food waste. If we’re back in the area we plan on coming back.
Great experience here! We had an amazing server, Hugo, who was extremely informative about the menu, very attentive, and made sure my family and I had a wonderful time. He went above and beyond to make everything smooth and enjoyable. The food was amazing, per usual. Great job, Hugo! We’ll definitely be back.
La comida riquísima y tardaron poquísimo en llegar. Hugo y Kerlin fueron SUPER SIMPATICOS y atentos.
Food was good but not "wow"with portions being very large...most plates can feed 2 people. Very pricey but considering the extra large portions guess the price is not so bad. Expect to pay about $100 per person with dinner and 1 drink.
Beautiful restaurant. Service was great. Was a little disappointed that they went over the menu in extensive detail and left out the part that pretty much everything can be shared. We were shocked by the family sized portions. Definitely could have ordered less. Steak was a little dry but everything else was good. Especially the bread and marinara. Best marinara I’ve ever had.
Server Michael was excellent but it took so long for our pasta to come out almost like they forgot us. Been here few times before we are going to take a pause for a bit before returning. Btw bread is so delicious
Had a good time here with friends food was good as always. I wasn't to impressed with the lasagna but everything can't be perfect service good as always only complaint i had was when it came time to pay the waitress brought one of those portable charging station they have now and proceeded to count out cash in the middle of our conversation which in my opinion is not necessary and should have been done in the back as to not ruin the little vibe we had going to close the night especially after spending $480 but as i said everything can't be perfect.
The food was amazing and big portions, I would recommend to share some of the plates they offer. The only bad thing I would have to say is the line to check in is long and you won’t get your table at the time you reserved your party for. Servers were fast and attentive and the food was worth the wait, come earlier than what you reserved the party for if you are here on valentines days. I bet it’s not always like that.
Incredible space with tons of outdoor seating in a very busy area for a Sunday evening. Food seems pricey but portions are giant so it works itself out. Don’t over-order!!! Fried mozzarella amazing - especially the abundance of tomatoes on the plate. Chicken parm sliders ok, pepperoni pizza mid. Outstanding service. So natural.
Muy buen servicio. La comida muy rica también, porciones muy abundantes. Precios un poco elevados pero overall valió la pena la experiencia.
I had high expectations for Prime Italian, but unfortunately, my experience fell short in a few key areas. First, I was surprised and a bit disappointed that they don’t offer valet parking, which is something I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. While the food itself was great when it finally arrived, the service left much to be desired. We waited two hours for our entrées, only to be told they had run out of steaks—which was incredibly frustrating, especially since steak is a major part of their menu. Having to change our entrées last minute was definitely not the dining experience we were hoping for. Overall, while the flavors were there, the service issues and lack of organization really overshadowed the meal. I hope they can improve on this, because the potential is definitely there.
The garlic bread = WOW! Overall, our experience was average, nothing extra special about the rest of the food or drinks to rave about. Our server seemed to have forgotten about us once our food came & we waited for more than 20 minutes after our table was cleared for him to stop back by & check on us. Other than that it was fine but with so many other dining options in the area & at that price range, I wouldn’t return.
You're paying for the name and location. The food was good, not great, at least not compared to NYC/NJ Italian food. The scallops and short rib were good. The line beef sliders we're mediocre, not that juicy...I expected way better. The carbonara was mehhhhhh, which really hurt my feelings. I feel like it should of been out of this world after all the good things I hear about this place but I guess not. I don't know if I'd go back, I'd have to be really willing to overspend for medicore food.
Here is the problem The Wine List is outrageous. The cheapest Red Wine was $95 plus tax & service The Miami Spice Menu was fine , drinking wine doubles the price of your evening The restaurant looks tired & needs a refresh
Dinner at Prime Italian was 7/10! I enjoyed the 16oz bone in filet more than anything. Prime Italian and Prime 112 tend to bring out lukewarm sides, which doesn’t make them as appetizing as they should be. I didn’t like the Raspberry cocktail that I had and definitely should’ve went with something less bitter. The creamed corn was fair :/
We visited on a busy holiday evening, and despite the crowd, all of the staff were very attentive and personable, from the hostess and bussers to our server. The food came out fairly quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, my lobster was chewy, and the added scallops and crab was disappointing: it was messy and unpresentable, much larger than expected, and arrived cold. For the price, I wasn’t as impressed as I had hoped, though I still had a generally good experience overall. We sat outdoors in a covered area, which was nice, but because it was open to foot traffic, people who were not restaurant guests frequently approached our table to sell items or ask for things. It interrupted the meal quite a bit. Adding more coverage or plants could really help create a more peaceful dining environment. Overall, great service and atmosphere, with some room for improvement on food quality and outdoor seating privacy. It was also difficult to check into our reservation as a a lot of people hang out blocking the area and skipping others although we arrived 15 minutes prior. Perhaps they can coordinate with Valet in receiving notice when reservations arrive? Certainly not at the same caliber as their other restaurant unfortunately.
We sat outside and it was beautiful UNTIL someone lit up a cigar. We found out the restaurant policy is they allow it outside. I really wanted to share in case you are allergic to smoke like I am. If you still want to eat there and smoke is an issue sit inside!!
Had a great time and food was delicious however, after informing the waiter that there was a birthday at the table , he brought the pre selected cake with a candle not lit , light it on the table and then just left ? …..Even Cheesecake Factory puts in more effort or a joint down in ocean drive . I thought this was distasteful. After questioning if we can split the check in two , we got told it was not possible, splitting check into 6, not possible, The waiter said that “it was the system “ however he later stated that is he does it then he has to make an exception for everyone around him….that means that it’s NOT a matter of not being able to but simply did NOT want to . There was also no other table around, he wasn’t nice about it and he had no clue what to do and laugh and was smirking when told we did not want to tip . (Tip was automatically included) the manager was also not apologetic or sympathetic . Considering that I’m a local and loved the food , I will not be returning. He also shoved the machine to my face ready to take Apple Pay without informing or showing me the total 🙄……
I’ve been coming to this place for years, but my recent experience with a large group left me disappointed. We were celebrating and wanted to split the bill among six people, but they have a strict policy of only allowing four credit cards per table. The server informed us, and then the manager came over, blaming the “system” for the restriction. If you’re a manager, you should be able to override these restrictions. It felt like she had the title but no real power. This policy was frustrating, especially considering the restaurant was nearly empty. It shouldn’t be difficult to accommodate a group on a special occasion. It’s experiences like this that make people think twice about returning. Eventually, they’ll wonder why business has declined, and by then, it may be too late—like so many other restaurants in Miami. It’s a shame.
We drove from Ft Lauderdale to Miami Beach hoping to enjoy our family Christmas lunch. Initially the service was great, food was ok, my husband ordered a $275 steak as his entree but by the time the food came out all of our entrees were hot except the steak. When the waiter called the manager over she’s was unprofessional, critical and didn’t make our experience pleasant at all. The best thing about the lunch was the dessert.
I’ve been here many times before. This last experience was something I’ve never experienced anywhere, and I’m still scratching my head on “how is that even possible?” I sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. The bartender didn’t say 1 word to me the whole time. Not 1, from beginning to end. He placed menus in front of me. He would just stand in front of me and look at me, and I would tell him what I wanted. My food was cold, but I attributed it to the bar tender given the rest of his service.
Now usually I don’t take things personally . However this last experiences I do. I’ve been eating here from the very beginning. Know most of the staff and come here with my service dog every time. The past two visits were not pleasant. The time prior to last I dine in and order a phillychesse steak as I’ve done in the past. It comes out with nothing but burnt cheese on top. I call for a manager ( short woman, Latina ). Only to tell me that’s how it comes. However once my server comes over he tells me indeed it burnt and unacceptable. Terrible visit, management doesn’t understand what the expectations for there own food should be. This time around (yesterday) I order a substantial amount of food to go and for one of the items I was in disbelief. I ordered the meatball sliders only to have them put a tub of ketchup on the side instead of marinara sauce. This is just an insult to someone intelligence. It’s clear over the last year the bar has fallen considerably low and is no longer deemed Exceptional service. So another restaurant once my back up , is now my go to. That place is carbone . Not to far with exceptional service.
6/10 Went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner and our dining experience was not the most pleasant. Our waitress was not helpful or accommodating. When we first sat down not even two seconds later she comes to ask if we are ready to order. When we told her we would need some time she didn’t come back to check our table and I had to flag her down. Personally I did not feel welcome at this establishment. I feel like I shouldn’t have to flag someone down to refill my water, bring the check or anything. Our waitress barely came and checked on us which just gave the impression we were not of importance. Also, they don’t do anything for your birthday. The food was alright nothing that really impressed me. The price range is $30 - $50 per entree. The atmosphere is nice it is low lit with lots of seating. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t recommend going here unless you just want to throw your money away.
Terrible experience. I took my family there for Thanksgiving dinner. What a disappointment. As soon as we sat down our waiter gave us attitude. My daughter asked for a special meal and was told flat out No. I had to get the manager over to have him tell the chef to make it for her. I ordered chicken milano. It was overcooked, dry. lacked flavor, and bland. It came with a salad. The salad was no better. I had to ask for mariana sauce for the chicken and oil and vinegar for the salad to at least make it taste somewhat descent. Way overpriced for the quality of the food. The only good thing was the portion sizes were huge. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
Great meal, although our server did her best to ruin it. This wasn't her bad day, she is in the wrong job. 3 of us had dinner at 7P on January 30. Sat behind the hostess. Food was very good. Chicken parm, paradelle special, risotto with beef. Also creamed corn, Brussel sprouts. For desert bread pudding and tiramisu. Nice Duckhorn red. Our waitress (tall, white, with pulled back hair) though was a disaster. Rude, pushy, short, difficult. This business has a problem if they let her serve customers. She gave us the menus and then came right back and asked if we were ready, we said give us a minute and she was back in 30 seconds. No courtesy, no friendliness, no smiling. She stood over me while trying to order wine, obviously unhappy. Stood over me while paying the bill. We are open minded people who can generally put up with lots of styles and approaches, but this one was truly special. By the end of the dinner, it was more funny than anything. Spent serious money. Service should be friendly and helpful. We will NOT be going back.
Let’s start with the manager Anne-Marie giving me a hard time because I was wearing a bright neon bodysuit which she thought was a bathing suit. I’m completely aware of the dress code but given I was outside and it was about 4 PM. She shouldn’t have assumed that I was wearing a bath suit because the location is next to the beach. Although she let me sit for dinner, we were met with our Server Michael, who was extremely dismissive and rushed us to order our appetizers and our entrées all at once. Kept rushing us to finish our meal, which honestly was rude he tried being hospitable, but his energy was off. We felt rushed. Now let’s talk about the food … the tuna tartare was not flavorful, the lobster soup was honestly just not good, although the portions are shareable, it was honestly 6/10. Usually, they clean the table before they bringing out desserts or the bill. Poor customer service all across the board. It’s honestly a shame because a few years ago it was top-notch well worth the money. We spent $251..
Great food! From the bread and sauce, salad, to the pasta, the food is exceptional. However, most of staff the staff, with the exceptions being the host and bus staff, need training. Lack of attentiveness at the bar and our table server needed additional support understanding how to manage excellent customer service. I rarely leave a poor review. I love to highlight great service, such as the Stanton Marriott. However, overall, I would find a better fit for dining if you are looking for Italian.
This is my first review ever, because this was my worst experience in a restaurant ever. Just finished eating at Prime Italian. I travel a lot and I know good food and good service, this was neither. We waited 51 minutes after they took our apps away, before our entrees came out. No apologies, no explanation. When the bill came I quietly told the server that we waited 51 minutes. He made a weak attempt to act concerned and told me that it depends on how the tables are numbered...really!! That explanation was in itself offensive. His indifference was palpable. The food was similar to what you find in a chain Italian restaurant like an Olive Garden. That's fine, if that's what you are looking for, but with some positive reviews and high prices, you should certainly expect more. I can deal with mediocre food, because shame on me for not choosing a better option. But making us sit there and wait for 51 minutes after our appetizers were finished, for our entrees to come out is a "bridge too far" $265 later and we are looking for another restaurant to get something decent to eat. Other customers got their food on time, so my experience may not be the norm, but why take that chance! Posting a photo of very dry Branzino that I couldn't eat.
Don’t ever come to this place for a busy holiday. Last night was literally One of the top 2 worst dining experiences of mine and my wife’s life. We had a reservation for 7:45. With it being New Year’s Eve, we made sure we were on time and expected to maybe wait a few minutes (totally understandable considering the holiday). Never in my life did I think we would have to wait over an hour and half for our table. Mind you, our reservation was for inside, and they put us on a back corner table outside right next to the sidewalk. We were starving at this point so it’s not like we could leave or complain. We didn’t get bread for close to 20 minutes. The diver scallops appetizer we got was super overcooked and took forever to come out. I decided to order the Maine Lobster so we could try and have something memorable from this dinner. I honestly should have known better at this point and genuinely blame myself for making such a stupid decision. This was essentially a $270 piece of rubber in a lobster’s body. Overcooked is an understatement. Keep in mind, my wife and I got to the restaurant at 7:30 and it’s now past 10pm and we’re just having our entree. We didn’t even wait for dessert, I had the server bring the check right when she came to check on us after we got the lobster—we were completely bummed at this point. I will give credit where it’s due, the server we had was very polite and she did a great job being attentive to us—all of the issues I mentioned are completely out of her control. Ultimately, the responsibility of this falls on whoever manages this restaurant. They clearly care less about protecting the integrity of the Prime brand or the dining experience of their customers and more about about stuffing the calendar to squeeze as much money as possible out of new year. Very short term thinking in my opinion. They got me for $500, but I can assure you that will be the last time I dine at a Prime establishment since they essentially ruined NYE 2025 for us.
First and last time to visit. Expecting to have a memorable evening to find that the restaurant had been overbooked. Despite having a reservation, most guests were waiting over an hour to get seated. No courtesy call was received from management to advice and allow to plan for alternatives despite their expectations to call 20 mins in advance if cancelling the reservation.
Sauce was terrible and hardly on the food , there were silver dollar pieces of uncooked mozzarella. This is the worst Chicken Parm I had in my life !!!! This is not Italian food its diner food disguised . They feed off their great steakhouse reputation. Wife threw away her food when we took it home because we had leftovers from the dinner. Sorry to say this was a Big ZERO
Francesca was a Horrible waitress !!! she kept getting my order wrong purposely and had a very disrespectful attitude and kept putting her hands in my face after advising her repeatedly not to put her hands In my face , she even proceed to do it again while the manager was there and even the manager herself had to remove Francesca hands from my face . Please do not waste your time coming to low class. Nothing here is 5 star . I came here several time and same disrespect to minorities. save your money.
Horrible service!! I made reservations for my family!! When we got there! We realized that they only seat people that tipped the host to seat them!!! That is truly low! Never again!!!!
Visited Prime Italian for dinner with some friends from out of town. The food was good as always, but unfortunately, the service fell short this time. Our server, Ombretta, didn’t mention any specials and only came to the table to take our order and drop off the check.
The food came out looking great but it was cold even after asking the waitress several times about Oure meals she kept telling us it’s coming I mentioned we had a time frame after we already waited 55 mins it was a big let down and then we couldn’t even eat it we had to take it all to go me and my wife love this resteraunt group well at least prime 112 and the big pink
i’m so disappointed with our experience at this restaurant tonight. My boyfriend made a reservation in advance and we were so excited to eat here after loving prime 112 in the past. Unfortunately, they way overbooked reservations on valentine’s day. We booked a 7:30pm table outside and got there only to be told our table wasn’t ready and we had to wait, along with about 20-30 other people in the same situation (with no explanation or ETA). We were finally sat 45 minutes later INSIDE at the worst table near a very loud kitchen door. Our server was nice but everything took forever to arrive and every single employee in there looked lost while running around yelling at each other. I understand valentine’s day is a busy day for restaurants but they very clearly booked more reservations than they had room for and it’s very greedy and unprofessional from such an established restaurant.. I couldn’t handle the noisy clanking from the kitchen and the chaotic atmosphere so we left after our appetizers. Very sad, it ruined our valentine’s day.
Not impressed at all!! Portions were so big they were actually gross. A bit pricey and glad we only got one dinner. The steak was nothing special nor was the baked potato. House salad was great but could feed 4/6 people.
Valentine’s dinner outside was great until chain smoking lady with extra long cigarettes was allowed to light up and smoke. We had to rush through after dinner drink and dessert.
Horrible experience! 2nd time made reservations only to wait an hour and still didn't eat... don't go here for dinner! And the hostess is not very nice! They obviously over book on purpose!! If I wanted to wait that long to be seated I would not make a reservation!
Valentine’s Day ruiner. They completely overbooked the restaurant, and my husband and I ended up waiting an hour and a half past our reservation time just to sit at our table. To top it off, the staff was incredible rude, and there was zero apology. In fact, the staff seemed annoyed we were even there. About 30 other people were standing around in the center pissed off and in the same boat. Some people waited to be seated up to 2 hours after their reservation time. When we finally did sat down, it took hours for the food to come out, and our water had some weird floaters in it too. Vibe was terrible as the staff and customers were all complaining and in a bad mood. Could have been easily avoided by proper booking. The waiter couldn’t even print our check properly because the register wasn’t working! This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but after being treated so poorly on a night that was supposed to be special, I will never be returning. DONT bother coming here. Food is good, but so is the food at PLENTY of other restaurants in the area.
