Since it is my first time visiting the place while stuck in the neighborhood, with an unchained bike, that I was in; the food here is very delicious and well made compared to other Nicaraguan Fritangas. It is all food made in good measure. The place inside is well detailed with two separate counters: one made for ordering food, the other made for ordering miscellaneous food items. Considering how modern and fitting the place is, gave a more fancy look, a rich like ambience. Breakfast deal to me was surprisingly cheap. The deal costed me $10 for the whole breakfast meal, including two sides and a coffee drink, an affordable option for people that want to try out Central American breakfast cuisine without spending more money. The service is good, but needs more improvement by being more attentive and polite. I would highly recommend this place to try good quality Latin American food (Nicaraguan) regardless of wherever you are from; whether you be a local or a visitor to Miami/South Florida.

My recent visit to Rakachaka Grill Y Más was truly a pleasant surprise! As someone who appreciates authentic Latin American flavors, I was thoroughly impressed. The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by how beautifully detailed and modern the place felt. It truly gave off a fancy, rich ambiance, setting a wonderful tone for the meal ahead. The food here is simply delicious and incredibly well-made – easily one of the best Nicaraguan Fritangas I've encountered. Every dish is prepared in good measure, ensuring a satisfying and flavorful experience. I particularly enjoyed the Carne Asada Completa and Queso Frito; the steak was perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous, truly a full and satisfying meal that left me stuffed! What also stood out was the incredible value. The breakfast deal, for instance, was surprisingly affordable at just $10 for a full meal with two sides and coffee. This makes it a fantastic option for anyone wanting to explore Central American breakfast cuisine without breaking the bank. While the service was good, with friendly staff, there's always room for a little more attentiveness, but it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. The cleanliness of the place was also noteworthy. I would highly recommend Rakachaka Grill Y Más to anyone, whether a local or a visitor to Miami/South Florida, looking for high-quality, authentic Nicaraguan food. I'm already planning my next visit!

Follow me on @BeeFocused305 Rakachaka Grill is a fantastic spot for a delicious lunch, offering authentic Nicaraguan cuisine. The customer service was pleasant, and the restaurant maintained a clean atmosphere. Though seating was limited, we didn't mind waiting patiently.

The portions and the taste were the most impressive part of this restaurant. The ordering process is smooth and the employees are very hospitable. Fritanga is very common in Miami and this place stood out like no other, will definitely be frequenting.

Cleanest fritanga I’ve ever been too in Flagler

R
Raquel Kelis, & Sarai

This place never disappoints! I hadn’t been here in over a year, and the food is still just as authentic and delicious as I remember. They clearly take pride not only in the flavor but also in the aesthetics of the restaurant and the beautiful presentation of their dishes. I ordered the Carne Asada Completa and Queso Frito—perfectly cooked steak, b.lack beans, rice, sweet plantains, and a generous piece of fried cheese. Trust me, the portions are no joke! You’re not getting a few little strips of steak on a plate—you’re getting a full, satisfying meal. I'm stuffed! I've already eaten a portion.

Excellent, international food, buy one "completa" to eat in or take out!

The interior decor is so nice, not what I was expecting for a fritanga. The desserts are beautiful and they carry a wide selection of food. Even the salads! You can choose from 3 different types of salads and the plastic containers are pretty with a clear top lid. Even so, the prices are kept low. I used to walk to the restaurant next to Sedanos for my Carne Asada, now I get it at Rakachaka for the same price and I swear the meat tastes different, more flavorful. This is my new favorite restaurant, I'm here at least every other day to buy my dinner. You gotta try the seafood platter on Saturdays with shrimp and oysters, so good!

This place is a little bit pricey compared to other fritangas but they have a much larger variety of sides from pasta salad, tostones, pico de gallo etc. Place is nicely decorated. Staff is pleasant.

Cafeteria style and excellent food. I had the cheese that looked like French toast and I will dream about it till I come back again some day. Staff was helpful too and uts alot of food for the price.

J

This place is all about the food. There are ample choices in this buffet styled restaurant. The food is clearly authentic, fresh and tasty. Be prepared for tight limited seating, a loud raucous crowd, but always will leave happy. The fish items never disappoint.

Food is amazing. Staff can be rushed and short but I understand it’s usually packed.

Amazing place. The FOOD is EXQUISITE. The atmosphere amazing. And it's soooo CLEAN. It's looks inviting. And don't get me started on the food. They look like pieces of art. I'm actually afraid to order the plate and destroy how nice the presentation looks.

One of my favorite spots for Nicaragua food in Miami. The place is always clean, staff is friendly and the food is just DELICIOUS! The meat of the carne asada is super soft, tender and juicy. They also have other traditional dishes and they all look delicious 😋 Highly recommended!

As a Nicaraguan I have been to countless Nicaraguan places to eat but when I think about this place, there’s no words to describe how delicious this food is, the presentation of the food, the variety of it is great, the freshness, WOW... and I mean it... hope they never change the chef!!! Complementos a la chef!!!

I was very impressed in all aspects. The interior is cozy and looks clean. The food variety is extensive and looks fresh and delicious. The customer service is kind and with great attention to detail. And after having my meal I must say the food is very savory, fresh, very well seasoned and a considerable amount. If I had them closer I would have my meals from Rakachaka and my own kitchen would be shut down. An absolute must. Highly recommend.

B

Best gallopinto I have tried in years! The carne asada was so juicy and perfectly cooked with amazing seasoning. The fried plantain tajadas were so crunchy and fresh and I have never had cabbage salad so flavorful ( I usually skip the salad at other fritangas because they have an odd, old or funky taste - husband thinks it’s in my head - but this salad was so delicious). The maduros (sweet plantains) were juicy and not dry. Very generous portions, especially the fried cheese!

N
Nelson Hernandez

Plenty of options to fill up a plate, different rice, meats, and side options. We tried different things and all were very delicious. Their options for tropical drink are also tasty. Definitely a must try.

Very good Nicaraguan (Fritanga-style) restaurant. Plenty of options and delicious Nica classics like: Gallo Pinto (Rice and red beans), carne asada (grilled steak), queso frito (fried cheese), puerco asado (grilled pork), etc. Very good tasting food at really low prices. When I go, I usually order the gallo pinto, carne asada, potato salad, queso frito, and salad for about $11. This feeds two of us! Definitely a place to come try. They have tables to eat inside and plenty of parking in the back.

L
Luis Rodriguez

Descent food for a good price. Have had better carne asada and cacao in other Nicaraguan restaurants.

D
Diana Rivera

Fresh food, clean place, excellent juices and desserts and reasonably priced! Employee can use a dose of friendliness!

S
Sammi Hamzat

I have been here a few times now to write an honest review about this place. The exterior, interior, and dining are very clean, attractive, and colorful. The food is displayed very nice and neat (buffet style) and there are many many options to choose from. The food is absolutely tasty and great portion sizes. Also very affordable! My only downside of this place was that the staff wasn't so friendly or helpful. Other than that, this place is great and I visit here as much as possible.

Z
Zil Silva

The food is delicious! Very clean, too. I'm giving it 4 stars because, sometimes, the grilled pork is not as fresh (meant right off the grill). Today, there was a problem with my order. I had to wait about 30 minutes to leave. Gotta Assn, though, the lady who took my order was very apologetic, eventhough, it was NOT her fault. She even gave me a small, free order of 'ceviche'.

A

Price and quality food are awesome! Advice to make it even better, work in a way to speed up payment process. A quick stop for your amazing food should be a quick stop.

A
Anzol Starlink

👍 Much better than Piñolandia, La Leonesa and all near fritangas 👍 Parking lot available 👍 Food is the traditional for all fritangas with Moro rice, carne assada and queso frito but they have more expensive options of fish plates and veal than the traditional “completa”.

P

Good value. No chicken legs/thighs unfortunately... All breast... Must be a Nicaraguan than!!

C

The food is good but was cold (Breaded filet fish and mash potatoes).

R

Awesome food and awesome price but the lady over the cash register is rude and you can tell she hates her job just by the expression of disgust she always has when working. Other than that its the perfect place to buy good food.

G

The rice and beans were old. It was re-cooked every time I took bite pieces of overcook and burned of gallopinto .

R
RJ Montiel

this place was outstanding the food is great the bathrooms are clean the place is clean the prices.are High but it matches the place I will say I go back to this place anybody should go to this place you should be happy for your money. So I went back to this place again but I could Shaka because I was pretty happy with her service in the food I got. But this time I went on different day and different time from the first time and I noticed the restaurant was very busy the stuff what's working under pressure and I noticed that the staff was screaming one to another saying that's not my problem that's your thing to do I'm doing this and what of that so to make the story short I I was waiting for my food they gave me somebody else food I was pretty upset because I got there first and the Gimme somebody else food whoever arrived after me so this place can I work under pressure when you're busy it's ridiculous this time I did not see no hand washing hand washing and didn't see it at all

J
Jairo Flores

The food is okay, but the service is very unfortunately bad, especially one lady was in the cash register gave me my order wrongly and besides charged me more than my order costs very disappointed should be trained and be more costumers care

A

overpriced fritanga, I should have gone to my Ole Faithful: Caña Brava, definitely worth the drive....

Y
Yousey Perez

The food was great that's why I give 2 stars, but the service was so bad that I rather find so where else. There's like 5 similar places that serve the same $h!t in a 3 block radius.

G
Gabriella Duran

This used to be the spot, but it has gotten wayyyyyy too expensive and the portions are so small. Before for $12 you could get 3 pieces of meat, good portion of sides & the food was fresh! I just spent $44 for 2 pieces of meat, a small portion of rice and old sides. It’s sad because they used to be the best :(

D
Daniel Lodai

It's overpriced. Regardless you buy the complete meal or not they still charge you the same price. 3 thing steak and only side no side they want to charge me $25. For a $25 l can go buffet. Your food it's not that fancy.

L
Leiseann Mentis

Food is great. However customer service is horrible. If you don't speak Spanish the waitress' will ignore you. They will assist the Spanish speaking customers even though you were there first. This happened to me numerous times. Today the same thing occurred to me. My co-workers had the same experience too. I decided that being ignored even though I'm paying for my food is not ok. So I left the food and the restaurant. I will not return. I'd rather visit a restaurant where I'm respected and not ignored.

L
Lucy Ste-d

They used to be pretty good, portions and quality of food. I used to go twice and three times a week, Now bearly go once a month. The food is way too greasy. The rice is loaded in grease, the soups and some of the meats prepared are waayyy too greasy. The carne asada portions are just ridiculous. One piece and half of one. It wasnt like that before. They do keep the place clean. The staff is ok, but please, if someone is waiting to be served at least say I will be right with you , and just dont ignore them. Hopefully they will improve.

J
Jose M.

Food is ok had the bistec encobollado and nothing like other fritanga. Also overpriced for fritanga food. Especially in the little Havana area where you can get better food and price at the Pinolandia Also the people working there not very friendly.

A
Ana E

The place is nice and clean. I been here years ago. But my experience today was not good. The music they had with cursing words doesn’t not go with the place. Then the white rice was hard and the gallopinto taste like burn. Not the authentic gallopinto. The fried cheese is super good. The pollo a la plancha is good too.

C
Cristina Escalante

Portions are extremely small, the food is expensive, the food is not good, and they serve it cold also, I have gone twice to give it another chance, and they always tell my husband and I what I don’t understand you, we have to yell for them to listen. The only good thing about them is that they do maintain it clean, and you can sit there to eat.

T
Thomas Nichols

Food was not good. Nobody spoke English. They overloaded the plates to charge more.

M
Mario Caballero

This fritanga too expensive. $22 for carne asada con queso. I got the same at another fritanfa pinolandia and I paid $14, food was good too

D
Danelia Cespedes

Horrible food, very expensive and more than 1/2 hour waiting line. I would not recomend nobody to go to this place. Sorry. Just went this noon. When I asked for salpicon they just put in the container like a tablespoon with gallo pinto.

C
Chestina Maloy

Almost $6 dollars for a side of congri that doesn’t even taste like congri, not sure what that was . Stale & hard pieces of rice too. Don’t recommend.

P
Phil Void

Really horrible service. No one spoke English and were very off-putting about them not understanding or caring to understand. Absolutely no prices anywhere or any management to help you discuss concerns you have. Woman literally rolled her eyes at me, “No English” and helped the next customer. And the food I got was very overpriced compared to neighboring Nicaraguan fritangas I frequent that are nearby. I won’t go back, very rude cashier.

E
Erika Restrepo

I’m feel sorry to write this review, because it’s not my intend to bother the owner. So I’m feeling concerned about the service on rakachaka. It was my first time but I am not satisfied, because was rude and the inside worker’s hasn’t manners and respect for customers. Don’t greet at the moment the customer get inside and don’t show interest in serve as a good service. Definitely, I’m not going back and repeat this bad experience.

Y
Yanitza Gonzalez

Ojo 👁️👁️ you’re paying more money for a lesser portion of food. I used to pay $13 for a full meal with steak.. nowadays they’re charging $16 with lesser quantity. My parents went an hour before me and ordered 4 plates and were discouraged to ever come again after seeing the portions and overcharge. I questioned why my meal was more than the last time for the exact same thing and was told the chicken is cheaper. They clearly don’t have a reason. I recommend Pinolandia because *this is not the workers fault* but that fritanga is 3-4 blocks away with (greater food, service, and portions). Lesson learned, never again. Take your business elsewhere.

G
G M

Horrible service. I waited in line to order 3 plates, the lady who attended us was rude and only served us one plate. She did not ask what else we wanted to order and proceed to take the next person’s order. When i arrived to the cashier i decided to order a drink and The cashier yelled at me and said i should have ordered that to the lady serving our food ( she did not give us a chance to order more food). First time there and wasn’t even able to finish my order and got yelled at for trying to order a drink. Will never go back. They are quick to take your money but don’t have good service.

A
Anna

The GREEDIEST business I have ever encountered. I live in little Havana so I would come here often because it’s close to me. The Workers here are very arrogant, but that’s not why I won’t be coming back. I asked for a drink without ice because I have sensitive teeth. I had already paid, the lady said that would be 50 cents extra to not have the ice. I didn’t have 50 cents on me. I asked her if she can charge my card she said no while giving me a nasty face. I ended up with a ton of ice in my drink because she couldn’t hook up a regular customer without ice. It cost them 50 cents to loose a regular customer. Food is alright, not worth the PRICE.

M
Miami good Miamigood

I always come to the restaurant cause the food is good and the price wa $7.50 wich wasn’t bad but now they charge $9 plus tax for that price I went to a nice restaurant Texas barbecue and I just paid 8 and they gave me bread and was delicious plus great service from the waitress..no tgis fritabga the service is horrible the ladies are so rude all of them!! ,on top of that the last time there was a little roach on top of the food (plantain ) I told the the lady about it and she just swiped it and threw the little roach it on the garbage and left the plantain disgusting!! ,i will never eat from this place again after why I saw besides their horrible service, this top it off ,nit coming back ever again!!!

Maridajes y Bebidas: El Complemento Perfecto
