Rinconcito Miami #4 - Military Base Miami Reviews
MY FELLOW AMERICANS, It’s been a while. As you all know, many of us are going through a lot right now—living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make rent or keep our mortgage afloat. I understand. I feel it too. Tonight, I want to talk about an amazing and delicious Cuban restaurant called Riconcito #4—which in English basically means Little Corner Spot #4. They offer a weekly menu where you can pick four items for about $55–$65, and let me tell you—it is well worth it. The food is incredible, filling, and somehow shrinkflation has not touched them. Everyone who works there is phenomenal. Special shoutout to Elietys, who always guides you the right way and makes sure you leave happy. And to the chef—who I am dying to meet—your food is so unbelievably good that you deserve recognition all on your own. Management couldn’t be better, and whoever the owner is, I would truly love to meet you one day just to tell you face to face what an incredible place you’ve built. As a first-generation Cuban American, my mother worked in these cantinas—places designed to help the working class by providing affordable, home-style meals for individuals and families. Seeing that this owner continues that tradition means more than words can explain. They may not know this, but as someone who is working and struggling, I want them to know this: Because of them, I get to eat at least one good meal a day. And that matters. I took a few pictures, but my friends and fellow Americans—if you want authentic Cuban food and you want to support a business that is actually helping the working class, please support Riconcito #4 or any of their other locations. God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America. We—the working-class people—are what keep this country running. If we stopped working for just one month, I promise you the owners and Congress would be begging us to come back. And yes—I’m thinking about running for Miami-Dade Mayor in 2028. Because I am the people, and I know exactly what my people need.
FANTASTIC!! We had a breakfast special along with an espresso, an authentic and delicious Cuban sandwich and a Corona. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend. Our server was very nice and efficient. Definitely a great spot if you are craving authentic Cuban fare.
I always stop for breakfast and lunch. The staff is super friendly and the food is always fresh and great tasting. This is my favorite dine in place in Miami. I ordered my thanksgiving dinner for my office party and it was delicious.
Such an AMAZING experience! Their food was to die for and service was awesome! Our server wasn't fluent in English and we aren't fluent in Spanish so the manager helped us!!! We lucked out, she pointed us in the right direction for some authentic Cuban foods that didn't disappoint :) A huge Thank You to Arelys!!!! Thank you for making our experience above and beyond!!! Our kids 6 and 9 also loved trying new foods and appreciated the familiarity of their favorites!!!!
Amazing restaurant, nice and kind service. The food is AMAZING, the best churrasco I’ve ever tried, other expensive restaurants are not even close to being as good as this one. My mom loved the fish that she ordered. I wish I had cash that day so I would have given the chef a well deserved tip. Would definitely recommend and would definitely comeback. Since I cannot put more than five starts count this review as a 10 star review. 10/18/2018 I went to the restaurant today with my mom and my sister, eager to show her how amazing the food was. The food was delicious but something that ruined my second experience a bit was the service, our server Estefania was not the best. Seemed a little bit mad at the fact that my mom didn’t want to order soup, we figured she wasn’t the friendliest. She took so much time to give us and charge our food. I always give tip even when service is bad but I even regret giving her $4. Food amazing, that server is not.
The food was AMAZING! Large portions as well. Needless to say we couldn't finish it all. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating to us and our little one.
Great service, large portions and great taste. Recommended.
Stopped in for some empanadas and coffee. They are very attentive and provide great service. The empanadas were delicious and the coffee was just right. Will visit again.
El Rinconsito is a good local spot for a quick cafesito, The fish soup is "🔥" a great lift, very friendly staff. An absolute gem in this neighborhood Serena Lakes area.
Amazing service, amazing food. We came from Houston to try the Cuban sandwiches and they're awesome. Service here is 100%
Im visiting from Tampa Fl, and found my self in this pearl in Eurika called Rinconcito miami. Where the service was Exceptional the food was Exquisite and we received gritting and service from the general manager her self. I recommend this to all my friends and family.
I love coming here. This is one of the best places for Latin food. I usually come for breakfast or dinner but lunch is also a great option. Here, it's very clean and the staff is nice. The food does not take too long to come out. Pricing is great. Most people there are nice, not too loud. Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants to go on a nice outing. It's also located in small shopping center, which is also clean and most of the time empty, it's only full because of el rinconcito latino...
Great place to get a quick coffee or breakfast items on 137th if going south. I stop there every morning on my way to work for a quick coffee and it takes a minute or less at the window. Customer service is awesome.
I order from this place at least 4 times a week for over 15 years when it was called salsa, best food and prices are awesome, staff is great and did I mention the food is great!!!! Delicious and always delivered hot and the deliver guys are like family I see them so much, I'm about to order now hehe
Food is phenomenal and the service outstanding. It is like eating at a family reunion. So much fun. Those that work there are genuinely happy to serve.
Very good attention by our server. and food tasted excellent. Recommended. I'll be back when visiting the area.
Excellent service from all staff from the minute you walk in the door ,you leave with satisfaction simply because staff go that extra mile to make sure all customers are satisfied, the food is cooked to perfection and the desserts are customized ,nice family atmosphere I just can't say enough great things about this place .
The food is so good the service is amazing the prices are low and so much food I highly recommend it
Best cuban restaurant in town. I strongly recommend this place if what you want is to eat very well done cuban food. Forget thi other places. The food is good and the prices are unbeatable.
Love this place. Great food, delicious coffee clean and secure place visit at Covid Era. They are following the CDC guidelines. Staff is very gentle and patient. Lizbeth took care of my order while I was waiting for my carne con papas, She offered me cafecito! To die for!!!!
Very clean restaurant. We enjoyed eating lunch here . The lady serving us was great, the meal was hot and fresh.
I came on Xmas Eve and was promptly seated. Then I ordered the special steak with tamale and a Cuban coffee. Steak came with chimichurri and lots of onions. Coffee was strong and rich with hot frothy milk. Total came to about $11. What a find! Highly recommended .
Out of visiting several Latin restaurants this one by far is the best! The food is excellent and my wife and I love it! Great work Guys! Chinese used to be my favorite now you guys are my favorite, keep up the good work!
Good food, excellent service at a great price. The servers are very attentive and friendly. The food is very good and comes out fast and well apportioned.
Good food, nice staff & reasonable prices too! Offering daily specials also! My wife and I enjoy dining at all their locations! If you're down south you're never too far!
Very good food. I wanted to say thank you because I left my credit card and when I called the next day, they had it and saved it for me until I was able to pick it up. Hard to find honest people now and days!!!!
We have an Amazing experience thanks to Lizbeth, she was very kind and bring our order very fast and just as we ask !! Absolutely we will come back and recommend this amazing place to our community.

Amazing food and the highest quality customer service. Lizbeth made me experience so pleasant she is patient, kind and quick on her feet. Would love to go back!
Yanelys de la cafeteria de el Rinconcito Miami #4. As a 59 year Cuban I had the best Cuban sandwich made by the best. It was so delicious and perfect that I had to leave this review. I suggested for her to open a food truck and sell this deliciousness that she do so well made. Wow, wow and more wow! Congratulations Yanelys for your gift.
Great food and friendly staff. I brought my Mom for Mother's day and it was reasonably busy but we still received good service from the attentive staff. We were immediately seated and attended. Getting the food didn't take long considering the place was almost completely packed from the pre-holiday effect. Being seated inside ensures you'll avoid the Miami weather. Highly recommended.
Delicious food in typical Miami-size portions (you'll probably have leftovers). Come hungry. Everything I have tried has been very good regardless what time of day. They are always packed but still have quick service. Must try. Lizbeth is an asset for this restaurant, very calm, patient and very knowledgeable snd accommodating, Nice experience
We ordered the turkey dinner to celebrate Thanksgiving, I can not express how satisfied we were, the turkey was delicious, juicy and well cooked, the congri was excellent, the food was delivered well packed and as promised, thumbs up 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I went in-person to order a Turkey order for work and it is safe to say that the service is just as good as the food. Aylen, went out of her way to speak to the manager regarding some accommodations for my order and made it happen. She took my order with a pleasant smile and attitude. I have two location of Riconcito near me and I always choose this location because of the kind service(better food as well). Thank you Aylen and your team for the great service I received.
Food is so good, tastes homemade like your grandmother was in the kitchen. The service was great, the whole staff is so nice & helpful. Patricio was our server, a true professional with always a smile for our group.
I come here frequently. The food is amazing and the server, Yeneibi is fantastic. Part of the reason I enjoy this Rinconcito restaurant. I’ll certainly be back soon. 👍👍
I personally don’t like Cuban food but their service is amazing. They do have to update their menu pricing.
The best place ever !!!! Quiet and sweet ! Clean and friendly. A shout out to Thalia for her awesome customer service !! This girl rocks !! I would love to have her as my special server every time I come here with my family !! Always with a smile and very diligent !! God bless her ! Gif bless Rinconcito Miami 🙏🙏🙌🙌🩸🩸♥️ Jesús Christ is King of kings !!! Come before him and be saved ! He loves you !!!! Blessings , Ms. Buch February 27, 2024
Johanna was our server at the restaurant and I must admit that her service towards our party of 7 was excellent!! Very friendly and courteous. She was able to provide our the a service second to none! Thank you very much Johanna.
I have been a very long time customer. I have been going here since previous owners. My husband and I love the food here. We were a bit upset when Davilet who has been our waitress left. Davilet is a great worker and makes the experience a great one. My advice to the new owners dont keep changing personal. Customers like people that already know them when they go to the restaurant.
Food and service are excellent! I ate like a Queen for $20! The waitress was wonderful and super helpful! Plus, they are clean in the dining area and the bathroom was also very clean.
I went today to eat with my family and we loved rinconcitos fuego because it’s a good shareable plate and a good portion of each meat and the Lilian the manager was very kind and came to the table to make sure everything was well served. I will definitely be returning in the afternoon with my family.
I love this place very clean and the most of it I love all the stuff that works there including the chef and the server they all provide an excellent customer service I always come here because the food for lunch and dinner and breakfast is so delicious and good and I love the excellent customer service the servers always provides thank you so much 👍👍🙏🙏🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Great depth of flavor in all the dishes, Masas de Puerco, Arroz Moro, exquisite! Friendly and attentive staff! Coffee was outstanding!!
Food was pretty good overall and chicken steak, rice, and beans were tasty, but rice and beans were cold first time and had to be reheated. Maduros were so-so. Really loved the decor and natural wood tables here (see pics)! Bathrooms were even much nicer than usual for a local Latin restaurant. Service could've been a lil more attentive. I'd still recommend this local neighborhood restaurant.
Been driving past this place for 9 years and never tried it until this weekend. Food was good except the rice was hard either old or it was the stuck sides or bottom of the rice pan. The masitas de puerco were soft but only 4 pieces and $20 a plate? The vaca frita for $18. Service was good but then again I was the only person in the restaurant at 5 pm.
First time stoping here for breakfast, good tasty food and big portions at a great price. Service is not too fast but not bad. Why just 4 stars?, They brought a coffee cup with lipstick on and they forgot one of the sides on my breakfast but they react fast to fix the issues. This place deserve a second chance to see if I they finally reach the 5 stars.
My husband and I frequently order take-out here, depending on their daily dinner specials. But recently we have been dining in. We just discovered a Picadera (Sampler) menu item that we share as our mutual meal. It features churrasco steak, fried pork chucks, chorizo sausage and grilled chicken. It also comes with 4 pieces of tostones (fried green plantains), Pico de Gallo, chimichuri sauce and a garlic sauce. Overall it was pretty tasty. The pork chunks were definitely both of our favorites. We also like to ask for the cilantro verde sauce to compliment the meal. We didn't get it this time, but we almost always order Fritura de Malanga (battered and fried malanga fritters). They are absolutely delicious. They come with the cilantro verde sauce, which is where we discovered it.
The menu has changed drastically and it includes other Latin nationalities, not just Cuban. I still like the place but the portions are not as generous as before, which is ok by me. To me it's obvious that the food I ordered is not entirely the same and not entirely positive but acceptable. We still order here when we have company at home. Vaca Frita is still better than anywhere and prices the best. Personell friendly and helpful enough to justify a good tip! I recommend it.
I feel like the quality of the food has been decreasing. It is true that thay give you huge portions but not every time is deliciuos. The attention from the staff is great. They have the best cuban coffee
Amazing sandwiches that you can pick up in 15-20 minutes! Good service but most things there are in Spanish so it's more well suited for latino people.
Place is clean. Plenty parking space. The menu was fully Latin. Much variety.I ordered Pumpkin Cream which was excellent. It is made of bright yellow pumpkin, garlic and other spices and cream. It is very much like a thick soup with no identifiable ingredients. Also had mixed red beans with rice. My friend had a similar meal. We found it pricey. The server was polite and informative. The atmosphere was calm. They also have a regular cafeteria with cafe and pastries that you can use without ordering at the restaurant area.
I have been ordering from here for over 7 years now. I’ve seen many changes in this place good and bad…. But I am writing today to specifically review the AMAZING service that I ALWAYS receive from Veronica (the manager). She is always readily available to resolve any issues that may arise.
The name of the restaurant is Rinconcito Restaurant & Cafe. Located at 17630 SW 137 Ave. It's not El Rinconcito latino. I ordered baby churrasco rice and black beans. The food was delicious. Flan and cuban coffee ❤. Excellent service from Tatiana. I will go back soon. El restaurante se llama Rinconcito Restaurant & Cafe. La direccion es 17630 SW 137 Ave. La comida es deliciosa y los postres y el café riquisimo. El servicio que nos dio Tatiana fue excelente. Regresaremos pronto
Waitress seemed annoyed .. I guess a lot of waitresses are annoyed now a day's but .... My sandwich was cold brooo.. El sanguich estaba Frio ... I should have had the lunch special. Probably best bet. My friend enjoyed his oxtail.
Good service and good food. Excellent for pickup my breakfast or dinner before or after work. Better place for take out. Eat inside isn't the best option, while you're eating have to keep an eye on flies and the broom the floor while we're eating, very disappointed with my today's experience.
Coming from a chef, the cuban sandwich here is sad. No mustard, no pickles. Otherwise it was fine. But damn, I expected better. At least make it right. This is Miami! The beef empanadas were good though.
A very decent place to stop in and grab a lunch. The staff is very nice and the food is typical Miami food. I tend to not go too often just because there are so many amazing little spots to eat in Miami, but its worth a try if you're in the area.
Used to come here as a regular few years back. Everything used to be fantastic. This time around was very disappointing. Service was terrible and food took forever to come out. Only 2 other tables at the time and waited about 45 mins to receive our food and when it finally came out it wasn’t even hot.
Our lunch was not as good as we expected... We ordered 1/2 a chicken a la brasa and to our surprise it looked like a small portion as it was just a small bone and a piece of the breast NOT even the whole breast. The waiter was called in and all she could say was that "yes that was half a chicken". Obviously they are not going to say they're are taking advantage of the customer....Now you tell me if I am wrong...... as for me that is just a single part of a chicken and not what was offered in the menu as HALF A CHICKEN 🍗🍗🍗🍗 NO wing, NO breast, NO thigh and NO drumstick. Compare what was served into the plate with and actual half a chicken (see our plate and a real half a chicken). A note to the owner, please check with the chef to see if the portion cooked is the proper one as you advertised and let your employees know to check the order before is taken to the table. We are not new customers, and we will think twice before visiting again. We are Sorry 😔 but the customer is always right and this time the business did not provide the services as expected.
What I ordered was arroz con pollo and what I got was yellow rice with a whole 1/4 chicken. Arroz con pollo is supposed to be everything mixed. And the quality of the rice is terrible . It’s mushy. I just wasted $15
Ordered online for delivery. My husband said that his whole fried snapper tasted sour and did not look fresh. The salmon did not look fresh as well. First time ordering from this location but definitely my last. I usually order from the location. On 137th Avenue and 160th Street, food there is always fresh.
I'll start by saying that the food is good. But down in Miami food repeats itself and cuban food is great overall. But just like any other restaurant, service is part of the experience... and our experience deserves 2 stars to be generous. We came to eat after going to the zoo and we past several restaurants on our way here. When i got there i wasnt greeted by anyone, so i proceeded to look for someone to give me a table. There was a guy talking to the waitresses asking for faster food. He was sat and fed right away. I, instead had someone that started to move the tables so my party of 7 could be seated, as if i was an inconvenience to her day. Ok so everyone sat down except for my husband and sleeping toddler still in the car. We waited at least 10 minutes before i actually asked the waitress that was seating and helping the newcoming customers by us, for menus and waters. I told her we have been there for 10 minutes and i felt quite ignored. She said they were alone and it was busy.. okay.. fine.. but i kept noticing how we were the only ones not being helped. Brought menus. We ordered from the specials so it would be rather fast, yet it took 30 minutes to get our food while eveyone else that was sat after us was finishing their plates. The food came without utensils, we still needed more waters as we were sharing the 3 waters that we were brought originally for our party of 7. My husband stood up to get napkins, bc we didnt have any. We ate, and not once the wait staff came to refill waters or for anything else. We ordered coffee to go and left. Bill came with an automatic 15% gratuity included. While we are great tippers, we felt this one was underserved. Furthermore, the took back the itemized bill so when they bring you the credit card slip that charge doesnt show and you leave more. Ill never be back, and if you are reading this, go where your business is welcomed.
Lousy. There are serval Rinconcito restaurants throughout the Miami area, and they're typically very good. Except this one. The chicken steak was dry and had no taste, the rice was hard... Overall the food was bland which is unlikely when it comes to Latin food. On the other hand, the service was good. Otherwise it would have been 1 star.
I order tipical Cuban food, rise with black beans , steak(palomilla) and plantain, a disaster food with a rice with a lot of comin, steak hard to eats and plantain(tostones) not good. I have very bad experiences in this specific restaurant, one time a fried fish with rest of scale and pork chop very hard to eat(duro), in other restaurant of this chain.
I am not sure why but their prices after Covid 19 changed in a way that is not longer that affordable place I loved to eat or order food from. My recent experience this past weekend ordering food to go, kind of change everything. So sorry Rinconcito but those new prices are way to high for just a local restaurant. $17 grill chicken, rice & beans---$13 ham empanada, tequeño, cortadito and juice and in a the third day.. $21 for the rabo.. wow...I'm not coming back., sorry
The quality of food wasn’t what it use to be. For instance I wanted tostones and they’re not freshly made but frozen type. They come out super hard that it’s impossible to chew. The meatballs which they claim are Spanish meatballs are actually frozen processed meat. I gave the waitress 4 stars because she was straight up with me as to how the food was. I came here as a last resort but not returning.
Not sure why but my cafe con leche was more like a leche sin cafe… la tostada was not toasted and the attitude on the side was sour… not sure if it’s a a place not intended for guests.
Had to wait 1hr for breakfast prices have gone up I still go there everyday because its close to the house. The waitresses are very nice especialy in the morning both dianas are very good at what they do and the manager also. The problem there is the Cook I use to go for dinner but the quality of food has gone down alot. Its a shame it has alot of potencial I spend around 400.00 a week there and I mostly go for the waitresses to help them out.
I have visited rinconcito for five years and last two years has really dropped by 80%. The churrasco steak has gradually gotten smaller to the size of a bacon strip but, the price rocket to $35+ ..my last visit there.
I just ordered a chicken breast there and it was tasteless and hard as can be. I think they just put the chicken in the pan for 5 minutes with no seasoning then put 6 pieces of cut sautéed onions and called it a day. There goes a waste of $18. Also the beans taste like they’re straight out of the can.
Terrible quality food here they deliver uncooked food. After I paid $66 dollar for delivery this is what I get. Insane Had to come back to my review as my family started eating food 2 hairs in the rice. Rediculous. Place has gone down hill since owners changed.
Way overpriced for the amount of food you get here. Paid $14.50 for pechuga a la plancha & it’s a rip off! I’ve been to other rinconcitos and you get 2 plates, one for the chicken and one for the rice and tostones! The amount of food they gave me, i could’ve cooked this at home ! And on top of that, i asked for hot sauce and they start acting clueless, is it cause i didn’t tip??? I’m supposed to tip on a pick up? I’ll tip you guys if you agree to give a more realistic portion! Never coming again! A rip off I’m telling you! This isn’t worth basically $15!
**** Update **** Just visited again today, it's gotten worse since last time . I bought two ham and cheese empanadas , two croquettas , and one pastry. $12. Well that price is acceptable or sort of reasonable. They charged $0.52 for two small brown paper bags, and the convenience fee. I don't know how any of this was convenient of $0.42. Why not just increase your prices instead of adding a tax onto every little thing? Poor business practices. Original Post: Food is average for Cuban food. Nothing spectacular but extremely expensive. How is a soup? A chicken noodle soup $9? A side(4- 1/4 inch thick slices) of bread $3(online)? And the bread side is $1 in person. This isn't the a luxury hotel to be charging that price.
Lately it has been disgusting. I have tried to order different dishes. And they all are gross. On top of everything the staff is rude AF. They forget dishes. TODAY i ordered arroz con pollo and they gave me arroz imperial without the cheese. I have attached a picture of the hard plantains I was given. Do not order. Ugh.
Service was bad, I ordered breakfast 3 pancake only got 2, Ordered side of eggs it tastes like it was cooked in the same pan where fish was cooked , I received my eggs and my son got his eggs 15min later What disaster, but it was not the waiter's fault, the kitchen screwed up. Worst place ever
Went to have dinner. Food was cold and the water was warm with no ICE. How can you serve water that is hot and no ice in it. Very poor service. There deserts tasted like it was old .Over price and the Service is no good. All they are looking for is there TIP💸💳💸💳💸💳💸💳💸💸💸💸💸💸
What a rip off. The worst Cuban sandwich in Miami; expensive, tasteless and hardly any meat. You'll be better served with a sandwich fron Wawa. If you want the best Cuban sandwich or food, just go to Cafe Versailles.
The service was horrible! I was the first to place my order in our party and wanted what was on special, arroz imperial. The waitress brought everyone’s food out but mine. I was patient after mentioning my missing dish & then realized what they brought out was the arroz con pollo on special, with some cut up some chunks of ham, melted cheese all over the huge pile of rice with sprinkled paparika over it. Isn’t it supposed to be molded into squares?!? And who puts paparika over the cheese? There wasn’t any mayo whatsoever. Not my idea of an authentic imperial rice! I decided to order something else and they ended up bringing out the same side of hard as rock maduros with my new order. Disappointing! Also 2 of the soups ordered were cold and had to be rewarmed. My family and I were parched, and as many times as the waitress came to our table not once did she ask us if we wanted a refill. Next time I’ll stick to the Rinconsito Latino on Quail roost or down the street that lucky for us reopened after a fire!
The WORST Bistec en casuela I've ever had. This place used to be good, but since the new management, all Rinconcito Miami quality have gone down.
I ordered a deliveryfor 6:30 pm and when I tried to call the restaurant to many minutes waiting when I finally contact the restaurant at 6:52 pm they said the driver put your food on a gate because he don’t see anybody and he left I think the driver in watever restaurant call you when he was out of your home but in case don’t call you at least tried the oppened the door I left my door opened the only think the driver need to do was move the handle and see the door was oppened , anyway when I go to pick the food all my food was cold real cold not warm because they passed 22 min other think I pay $1 for the sause cilantro sause and the cup that they bring me is more small that the Pollo Tropical and only bring me one . For me experience I do not recomend this restaurant I pay 37 dillars for a large soup ,one yuca frita , one chicharon and one ordered of boniato I think is too much for the bad service and the small amount of food .
The pan con bistec was cold, the waitress gave us our drinks without ice, she never put bread on our tables until we ask her for it. What happened to this restaurant is losing their customers service. We had to ask her three times for a to go bag. Oh watch for the flies flying around your food. Also they added the 12% tip in my receipt without asking me.
I went to this Rinconcito today because I wanted pollo a la brasa and chicharo. What I got was just horrible! The chicken tasted nothing like the usual pollo a la brasa they serve on Monday as a special. The chicharo, looked like wall plaster. I can say that I got sick to my stomach when I got home after eating at this rinconcito. I will never go back there.
Ordered empanadas and was told to wait 20 min.. after 25 min I ask for my order. The lady forgot to put in the order.. she tells me to wait another 15 min that it will be out very fast. Ok... I wait another 15 min.. no surprise she didn't send the order to the kitchen AGAIN. These people are ignorant, incompetent and disrespectful to customers. Go to the one on 160 st instead.
Food was horrible they don’t give you chicken just crumbs with a very small piece of chicken I ordered chicharrón de pollo and they give me nothing , that is staling your money never again I won recommend to anyone save your money .
Ordered "chicken Vaca frita" what I got was ripped up rotisserie style chicken without any flavor. The rice was also bland and overcooked. The food quality was definitely not worth the cost. Very dissatisfied.
Great food, ridiculous service, the so called "manager" Hernan is rude, disrespectful, careless, confrontational, and simply not up to a management position. When you screwed up an order for a regular customer, you should at the very least APOLOGIZE for it, an $8.00 discount just does not jusrify our scream up, OWN IT, it took my family 2 trips to pick up our food, and we are weekly regulars, and even have a cantina service from them. You will miss our $, please educate yourself, learn to say you are sorry, and how to deal with regular customers. You will miss our cash. I WILL MAKE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORD OF YOUR LACK OF SYMPATHY.
I’ve been coming to this place for almost 5 years and seeing it deteriorate is so upsetting, I kept coming because the food is still very good. But that all changed when I went with my family to have lunch, we sat at a table near the kitchen and all we could hear were two Cuban men screaming and full out cussing this was so disrespectful my children did not need to hear this kind of language and behavior coming from a family restaurant!! I don’t plan on coming back, at least not at this location.
I just went to eat there with my son. I have been eating there and ordering food from this place for years. But what I saw today SHOCKED me! One of the waitress was cleaning and spraying the counter, spraying the coffee machine and spraying the air like she was using a Lysol can BUT that wasn't the can she was using instead it was with ROACH KILLER (RAAAAAIIIIIIIDDDDDD) OH HELL NO!!! I will not be EVER going back nor ordering food from there again!!! That waitress noticed I saw her use the RAID can and then is so DUM she puts the can on the counter so everyone can see it. Of course NO ONE noticed. BUT I DID!!! Then another waitress came quick and took the can away so no one would notice what the can was. I shook my head at them both. They didn't know where too stick there faces. Then people wonder why they get sick!! You never know what cleaning products the restaurant staff are using close to your food.. YUK NO STARS FOR THEM!! THERE FOOD IS NOT EVEN GREAT ANYMORE!! It was at one point but NOT anymore..
This place was a disgrace. I would give it zero stars if I could. The food was cold, the rice was hard, the beer was hot. The plate I ordered never arrived. After my entire family ate, they told me that my plate was not available. When the manager arrived, she made excuses! Highly disappointed! We will NEVER return.
Worst pan con bistec ever!!!! The cuban refugees they have working there are super rude. Gave me my food cold and it had been sitting on counter ready.
The 1-star wasn’t for the food or my waiter, my waiter treated us amazing and the food was good. The 1-star was because the only employee that had a blue mask on kept taking it off touching her face and with those same hands touching plates for other customers. At no point did she wash her hands, it was a constant placing her mask up and down and touching customers plates with those same hands. Sanitary was no where to be found from that employee. I will definitely not go back.
Terrible . Highway robbery Stay away.. Beware. On delivery and pick up orders the restaurant gives you a half ration of the food and charges you full price .We ordered two chicken and rice plates ( arroz con pollo) charged us $28 and it’s was one order divided in two. Pretty sneaky huh 🤔 I will not be back !
Place has changed, staff is unprofessional, placed an order to have it delivered. Was told it would be 20-30 minutes, okay no problem. 1hr goes by and no delivery, I called and was told that the driver had just left, ok so I waited ( the place is 0.5 miles from my home). Another 20 minutes, no delivery so I called was told to hold on, when they came back to the phone I was told they had spoken to the delivery driver and he was already approaching my home. I went outside, no driver. Got into my car, drove there and asked them where my food was and it turns out that they never even started to put my order together. By that time they ran out of what I wanted and had to order something different. Ask to speak to the manager and all she could say is " I'll give you free desert". So unprofessional, if I owned the restaurant I would have given the customer a free meal. They just lost me as a customer, I know it will never but a dent in their wallet but at least I make others aware and to me that matters most.
We ordered spaghetti bolognese for takeout. It had an overbearing taste of some ingredient we couldn't identify. Perhaps, cilantro, oregano, or another seasoning. We couldn't taste the food because this seasoning overpowered the dish. I spent $30 in total including drinks, dessert, and tip. Yes, I tipped for takeout. I requested a refund for just the cost of the spaghetti which was inedible. Restaurant would not give me refund of $16 which was the cost of the main dish. Will not order from there again. Very disappointed. Will go to Casavana or Sergio's next time.
I have bought food from this restaurant for my family of 7 at least 3 times a week for more than 2 years. The food is great the service sucks. There is no better way to put it. It is normal to call and be put on hold for 5 or 10 mins with not even a please hold. Today 10 minutes into my wait I decided to drive to the store. As im on hold the person taking calls is using her personal, green case, phone while answering other calls. She took at leaat 2 new calls including their orders while I wait in person and on the phone. I tip well every time I pick up food in hopes that someone will decide to give attention. They dont and dont care to fix it. Upon asking for a manager, Patricia, I was able to voice to her that this happens every time I order from here and that I will not be ordering from this restaurant again, regardless of the proximity (accross the street) from my home. Avoid the horrible service and pick one of the other restaurants in the area. No matter what, their service will be better than this!
Bad food bad service. I should of known to leave when I walked in and the place was empty . The 4 servers were doing eye makeup at the counter. This was a bad sign but I figured if the food was good it would be worth it, it was not. They brought bread to the table that was stale. We got a Shake of Mamey and it was so bad. Very icy and was separating at the bottom of the shake. We ordered some Tamales and they came out COLD. I had the Chicharones of Pork and they were hard and chewy. The server did not seem to care about us and it felt like we were bothering her. Then one of the servers starts sweeping while we are eating which really annoys my wife. I was so ready to get out of there. I have been sick to my stomach since I ate there and the people with me feel grossed out. I will not be going back and I would recommend that they improve the experience because it left a lot to be desired.
I hate that I’ve given this place so many chances because it’s close to home. Honestly, I will NEVER order from here again. They are ridiculously over priced, they can never get the order completely correct (NEVER) Even after me repeat my order 3 times. Mine you, I live across the street by the time I get home the food is already cold. Save yourself the money & time & eat somewhere else. This place is lame!
Passed by this place and thought since I was near by I would go with my family. The atmosphere was clean and service was good. However, the pricing in the breakfast was a little Exaggerated. A normal Breakfast with eggs and toast cost 10$ but to add 3 pancakes was 7$. That’s a 20$ meal, most restaurants already include 2 pancakes with the meal. Eggs were also dry and bread taste like it sat in a plastic box for days.
Totalmente desencantado. Gracias
