Loved it! I stumbled upon this spot randomly and wish I lived closer to come again. Food was delicious and came out quickly. The servers were nice and approachable. Definitely recommend!
Came again after many years and it's very good still, despite new ownership! The portions are very big for the price (of course, it's gone up since then, but inflation, I guess 🤷🏻♀️). Very fresh and authentic flavors, tastes almost as good as my Abuela's cooking! The tamal Cubano was AMAZING and the potaje garbanzo and Arroz con pollo were also very good. The garbanzos were just a little undercooked for my taste but some people like that. The flan and batido de mamey were also perfect!! And the cuban toast and coffee were just as good as I remember! Warm and comforting!
Do yourself a favor and eat here! Everything is wonderful! The food is authentic and the service is excellent! I don’t speak fluent Spanish so I used google translate but the waitress was patient with me! I had the beef, chicken and shrimp fajita with rice and plantains.
The new management or owners have done an amazing job. The portions are huge and the quality is superb. We had the lentil soup and it was loaded with meat. My wife had the lamb and she truly enjoyed it, I had the Oxtail with rice and beans, and it was amazing, and so much. I'll be swinging by more often. Congratulations to the new cheff! And the service was outstanding!
This is the cleanest Latin American restaurant! Additionally, every meal we have had here has been good to very good. The service is always wonderful too!
The food is great. I'm a local security camera installer, and I've eaten here numerous times on my lunch break. The prices are affordable, and the portion sizes are plentiful. Do yourself a favor and order the Vaca Frita. You won't be disappointed. The picture here was what I had left over. And later in the day, it was just as good as it was for lunch.
We went twice a week !Excellent food n service !
Great service! I ordered inside to go. Even if they only do to go outside.
Best Cuban Sandwich we had all week during our travels around South Florida. 😋 And we tried a lot of them. We got lucky in pulling off the Florida Turnpike that this was the only place right of the exit, and it turned out to be perfect. The bread was so soft (even after being pressed) and all the other layers of the sandwiches were fresh and flavorful.
So glad I found this place super delicious
I like the place. The food was really good. I had the fish filet with yuca and salad and it was delicious!! It is my second time in the restaurant and like the first time I enjoy the attention and the food!! 👍
The staff is nice, not always friendly but the food is great and the ambiance is very relaxing. If you like music with breakfast this is your place. Music from Timberlake to JLo and Pitt bull you'll like here.
with everything going on I've eaten there since new changes and think owners food has no flavor breaded chicken way better before as well as the oxtail usually go here often and hopefully you get the recipes and flavor they had Thanks Go there often and always have great service and food was there last night and this morning and always pleased and the prices are great the girls last night and this morning are awesome I think lily is her name Thank you !
From the outside i could not tell how nice this restaurant was. The restaurant is clean and staff was very courteous. My food was brought to me hot and fresh and delicious. Will be back next time i visit Miami.
I was craving Cuban food on the way home from work and I stopped at El rinconcito super Latinos Cafe and order takeout. Did not feel like sitting in the restaurant but you have that option.
Fantastic food !
The food is very authentic and the service was super amazing especially from a young lady called Fabiola she went out of her way to give us the best experience for such a small butt stupendous little restaurant.
Our server Lupe she's on top of things, she even remembered what we ate last week.
Great Latin food! Amazing portions for the price. The chicken soup is hearty and great for if you're feeling a lil under the weather.
I have eaten here periodically for almost 20 years. I went back a few weeks ago after not having been for 6+ years. Some of the same friendly staff and believe it or not the Cuban sandwich was better than ever!! Cold Presidente FTW. Highly recommended.
WE CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THIS PLACE! Great atmosphere...DELICIOUS FOOD!!! AND ALWAYS FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL SERVICE....this is our Go to always...when we hu gry and dont what we want to eat...
Excellent service, I go to this place at least twice a week with my family and we love it!! Everybody that work here are so nice, the food always is tasty. You get more than what you pay for!!!
Very nice and unique place! The staff is very friendly and helpful , special mention to Noe that she went the extra mile in order to make me feel special . Thank you so much. I would recommend this Restaurant to everyone!
The best frozen lemonade. I love the presentation and it was so refreshing. I also had Alfredo Fettuccine with shrimps, and surprisingly it was delicious. I did not expect that since it is a Cuban restaurant, but I can say it was very, very good. You have to try the flan. One of the best flan I had ever try. Highly recommended.
We came to have lunch here and had a nice experience. It was clean, spacious, we had privacy and the food was delicious! The service was also very excellent.
I was very impressed. I've been there 3-4 times. I've had good service, however the waitress didn't speak English. The restaurant is clean, food was good, loved the cafe con leche, but I do feel this restaurant is over priced
This place is amazing! The food is delicious and it comes out quick. The service is great too all the waitresses are nice and very attending. My favorite food is the Frita Cubana and the Yellow Rice and Chicken they are just to die for!! A total must go! I love it and go frequently! :)
Delicious!! This is THE BEST Rinconcito Latino. The chef cooks with such flavors, the tamales, croquettes. Their lunch and dinner meals are amazing, portions are good size !! Definitely a favorite
Great service and delicious food! I always cater food from this restaurant for all my events and have never been disappointed. It’s our go to restaurant for catering food for myself, family and friends. Highly recommend!
I have to tell you guys, this is defenetly one of my favorite Latin cafeteria, the food is great, prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing. Last but not least the decor is very artistic and that just gives a great and unique atmosphere. I give it the 2 thumbs up!!!
Food has gotten really good at this place and they've made it look nice inside
Not only is the food really, really good! But the service is great. They are very friendly and very passionate about their restaurant. You must try the flan and their breakfast!!
Traditional Cuban style cafeteria with great food. The outside counter provides fast, friendly, local service without having to go inside. A very local place. Prices are OK but you get lots of food.
First time I go there , I dont live in the area , a friend does , the food was great ! I'm a cook , a food & wine enthusiast and the food was great , the chick peas ,White Rice , Breaded chicken steak ,Bistec en cazuela , Deditos de pescado , Flan con coco,Flan de queso ...all very very good!! SERVICE was top notch, Lilly was very polite ,helpful and made sure we felt great ,the other girls too...I'll be going back soon ...thank you Lilly ,saludos ...Mario E
The best liver plate in town. And the server was great and amazing.
11/10 would recommend. Great service and great food. Loved the coffee and the presentation of the plates and drinks. Very friendly and welcoming location.
The food was DELICIOUS!! I got a steak sand-which and it was so good. The kids got pastas which were also yummy! Cuban sand-which is good too. Their coffee is unique and fresh. They give you an espresso shot and it will wake you up! Everybody got some kind of coffee and everyone in our family loved it!
This restaurant is always great! Every time we've gone there the service and the food is excellent. BTW they serve big portions too. We will continue going there & taking friends too. Thank you 👍
This was my first time eating here. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the filete de pollo, and my boyfriend had bistec de riñonada. We ate all of it in one setting. No leftovers! The portion sizes are enough to feed 2 people off one plate. We will definitely be back. Sorry, no pictures!
Great food and quality is always high! the service is friendly and most important they listen to their customers. One example is I ordered on a Friday my favorite dish cod fish bacalao and it had very little cod I showed her and without a do she returned it to the kitchen and corrected my order. Very pleased patroon and will continue to go there as often as possible.
Absolutely the best pan con bistek and Cuban sandwich around. It’s huge and you get French fries with it. Definitely a lot bang for your buck $11.00 and you can’t beat the deal…., Best of all is the cccondimentsss are so exquisitely delightful and full of flavor. Nothing stale about the sandwiches here. If anyone is listening from the kitchen, please keep up the good work!!!
I think for the value and the service you get, it is well worth it to come and eat when you're not in the mood to cook. The portions are really good for the value you pay. The cantina they have has a variety of food for the week also. Fabien, the girl at the ventanita, does a great cuban coffee too 😉.
Please please don’t change a thing! Good food is really hard to come by especially in our neighborhood. It’s all sub par unhealthy trash. This place is the exception! Grateful and truly blessed to have found it!! Thank you to the owners and the chefs!!
The best food ever. Great place, it's clean and nice staff. This restaurant is the best on the whole Miami. I love it. BTW, the price was OK. Kudos to it.
I use this vendor for the first time after being recommended and it was the best experience. The owners and staff are involved in the process and very friendly. All my guests enjoyed the food!! Thank you Latin Mix for making my little girl’s birthday a yummy one!!
Very good food, excellent service, very clean place, delicious tamales, lots of food comida muy buena, atencion excelente lugar muy limpio, los tamales deliciosos, mucha comida
Pedi un bistec milanesa y estuvo delicioso. El guiso de maíz, es espectacularmente delicioso.
Excelente servicio!
Very delicious dishes ! Love their shrimp, chicken was a bit dry. Clean and great staff. First time here. They give out toasted bread with oil very good . Great price for the portion.
I would have gave 5 stars but there was a really nasty lady asking why i was recording my coffee order. How else can we share online? Also the croquetas are so crispy!!!
Visiting family and we arrived to Miami past dinner time. We let our family member know that we were really hungry and would like to eat somewhere that had Cuban / Latin food. After driving to one place and finding out that it was too late and there was limited food options, we ended up at this restaurant. My family member stated that they would eat there at times. We had Cuban Sandwiches and someone else had another dish. We were the only ones there. It was late on a Tuesday. Food was plentiful and had great flavor. The waitress was great, professional, very sweet and kind. The place is big and everything looks pretty well kept and clean. We were able to have a great conversation and had a nice night out in Florida.
Love this place is great to get the same quality and service in coral way and eureka. It's one of those that it's an easy desicion. Good food, great service, very clean.
Very kind service and so comprehensive people. We were 16 people, and they joined the table for us.
Amazing place, fantastic service and best of all, the price is magnificent!!! Why 4 stars? There were some flies that just didn't let me eat in peace
Nice Latin restaurant here in the south part of Miami. I’ve been only 2 or 3 times since they re-opened with the new ownership but I’ve had really good service and the food was pretty good (similar quality/prices as what you would expect in a typical Latin restaurant in Miami). Most of the good Cuban/Latin restaurants in South Dade are Kendall or further north, so it’s nice to have a spot like this one down here. Under the new ownership they expanded so apparently they have space to host private events now, as well. Portions were kinda small but the good service, food, and convenient location made up for it.
Haven't been here in some time, must be a new owner. Place looks refreshed menu better. Sandwiches very good (Miami)and the soup was homemade , tasty with plenty of veggies and meat. ( Chicken soup and beef soup.) Will be back.
Great atmosphere, food and service. Clean facilities. Parking is hard to find at busy times.
Great food at reasonable prices and the service was great as well. Will come back to try the variety of entrées they have there. Highly recommend !!!!
It doesn’t get better than this for affordable quality food. The food is always delicious and relatively fresh (depending on what you order) and prices are pretty fair for nowadays. The service and atmosphere is what you’d expect from a cheap hole in the wall restaurant.
Great food but service could be better. A smile and welcoming attitude is always great at a restaurant. It looked like they were not happy we came in. Other than that, the food and coffee are great.
This place is very cheap and the food is very good! I've gone here since I was a kid, they since changed owners but the food is still yummy. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because the waitresses are pretty slow. However, once the ladies take your order the kitchen is usually very quick and the food comes out in a matter of minutes. They have really good food for low prices, good coffee, nice people, but slow service. I think this is a great place to go on the weekends! (Only 1 woman speaks proper english, all others have a hard time, but they get it right in the end!)
Great little place for Cuban food. The new owners have expanded the eating area and the food is great and fast. They have some of the nicesest waitress. My kids love it especially my boy as he loves all the ladies there. The only bad part is the parking spaces as it may be difficult to find parking that large vehicles fit into. But excellent place to eat.
It's a really good place to eat in or take out. The staff is kind and friendly. The steak and seafood is great. I would highly recommend the restaurant.
I always go to this place for breakfast, food quality is good for the price ,service is great tipe of place where after a couple times they know you by name,
Great service, great food. Today I ordered pea Stewaka chicharo, paella, served w/ tostones, & bread.
Didn’t know what to expect. The menu said shredded chicken but what came out was something like a baked whole thigh in yellow rice. Rice was a little wet but not sure if this is authentic or not. Service was good even with little English. Place was spacious and clean. For sure will give it another go if in the area but will go for a different menu.
Wanted to try this little spot and support local businesses. Great customer service. Our waitress was fantastic. The food we ordered was on the safe side, but then again, not. I would go again to try breakfast . I would be disappointed if they mess that up. The malanga fritters were good though. Pizza had no flavor, nor the fabada.
The food was good but it took half an hour to make a steak sandwich, which normally takes about 10 minutes, and they weren't even remotely busy, might go again to see if the service gets better
Nice small family restaurant. Very humble. All the waitresses are real nice and very attentive. Is right in the corner of the plaza, but it will have you coming back.
All good if you don’t sit outside, we brought our dog and tables and chairs super uncomfortable!!! Don’t bring your dog and go inside or to go
Typical Cuban restaurant if you only speak English be aware communication may be an issue. But food is good and comes out quickly. The price is fare. I could recommend. Breakfast is the best my boys love it.
This used to be a Latin America and one of the better ones too. It's still pretty good. They make great side dishes and basic things like tostones. The interior looks so much better than it used to. My issue was the main dish and the server. I got fried red snapper and it was dried out to nothing. Our server was also pretty short and somewhat rude with us.
We know food joints like this is get in get out. Smiles, good morning, get your energy in, keep rolling. Always clean, get your fix
This place changes names and ownerhip every 3 months or so it seems. Took a chance and ordered basic Cuban entrée a palomilla steak to go. Steak is thin so you can't overcook it well my palomilla has a thick rubbery texture and was tiny. In a good Cuban place you order a palomilla and it's huge..enough for dinner and lunch the next day as it should be. Not the case here. Won't be back you are better off going to the rinconcito on 137th Ave better food and the window girls have better attitudes.
This place used to be better. The breakfast is not all day anymore. Im here on a Sunday for brunch and no breakfast is being cooked at 12:30. There are no notices on the menus about the time cut off and the waitresses was very rude when I made a breakfast order thinking this place still served breakfast at all hours. As a chef, I would notify people with at least a statement on the menu saying "Breakfast is served only until noon" What kind of cuban place doesn't make breakfast all day in Miami? Especially on Sunday? At least to 2 or 3 in the afternoon I understand but not at 12:30???. As a normal customer, I rather not go anymore if this is the case especially with rude servers.
Food and service was ok, but they included a service charge or tip of 20% for a party of 4 and 2 babies. I don't think that is right. If you are going to include the tip it should be 15% and depending on service you can tip more.So I won't be back at this restaurant.
Good for some foods except: Bad milkshakes: watery not sweet or thick. Mashed potatoes: flavorless mash. Colada: Bad flavor to their coffee.
The younger girls dont have experience so they forget things like silverware or crackers, napkins and water. They bring you your appetizer with your meal instead of before. They need to be better at their jobs.
Not too thrilled with this place. It's under new management and the portions are a LOT smaller and the prices are more expensive. I used to come here and I would have so much food left over that we had to take it home. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but with all the Latin American places in the area it really isn't worth it. 2 of us ate here (1 of us got shrimp, the other chicken) with a beer and it came out to $50. Also, if they sit you in their new back room, just wait until a booth is available in the main section. They can and will forget about you, even with the little remote to call a waitress that they leave at the table. It sucks to say, but the renovations and upgrades have definitely destroyed this gem. I wish it could go back to how it used to be.
The place Is nice, the waitress was badly educated (she didn't greet me), and the food had a smell as if it was an old shoe I tried one bite, I gave back my plate, and they didn't offer me a different plate or a refund.
Had not been there since it was under a previous name and the food was so bad we didn't go back.Well the name might of changed but now the service was just as BAD!!!!!We went on Black Friday and it wasn't full there were 4 tables, once were seated and the waitress came over she told us there were "no specials today for breakfast" my wife proceeded to ask "then why dose the menu say that there are at the top",she then proceeded to try an explain what it meant but we were still disappointed. We asked to speak to a manager at which time she turned on the attitude and started acting snotty,it was at this time I said I didn't care if we had to order everything separate. The food was edible but I had to ask for water 3 times until I got it and when she took the check to process it and came back,my C.C was missing, when I asked where it was she told me she had put it inside the check cover and it was given to me.I looked all over the table and area ,still no C.C,we told her she hadn't given it to me again at which time she started looking behind the bar were she had processed the card, all the while commenting with another waitress that she was sure she had put it inside the check holder and given it to me.A few minutes pasted and she said she "found it on the floor, that it had fallen out".I let the tip, reflect the poor service and still managed to over tip.Needless to say this is a restaurant we will NOT RETURN TO AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! This seems to be the norm for employees of LATIN RESTAURANTS in Miami to act as if they are doing us a favor by waiting and serving the customer which goes to their place of employment to spend money. There are many places to eat in So.Fla and they go above and beyond but this isnt one of them,my advise would be to eat some place else!!!!!!!!!! One star was given but it should of been a negative 100 stars.
Worst experience ever! Was made to pay for food I didn't order because the waitres " heard"wrong. Tip was included on my bill as service fee and was then asked to tip again on total including service fee. What a rip off.
Expensive!!! I was charged $11+ for a Media Noche!! I don't complain about paying for my food but $11+ for a sandwich is just over the top. This isn't some magical sandwich either.. Every Latin Cafe and bakery in Miami sell Media Noches. Leson learned, I'll never come here again.
This is sad coming from a customer of 20+ years. Today I have never been more disrespected as a customer. Alvaro has the worst customer service ever!!!!! If you receive burnt food and would like a refund, do NOT ask Alvaro because he will think you’re hustling him for free food… will never be giving El Rinconcito my business ever again. Alvaro needs to be fired for making a customer drive all the way from her house to “see the food” for a potential “credit” or “refund” that the customer had to plea for. Then as the customer was walking out, he had the audacity to speak under his breath and say she did it for free food… GET RID OF ALVARO IMMEDIATELY!
I ordered 2 drinks. A lemonade and a trigo. The lemonade was 3.50 and the trigo 3.99.The bill was 8.00. I didn't leave a tip because the girls in the window are SUPER RUDE. The next day I checked my bank statement and notice I was charged 9.71. They took out tips on their own regard. I called to speak to the manager, and left my name and number and he never got back to me. So I went back to the restaurant and the manager was sitting in a stoll by the counter. I told him the issue and how I was robbed and he did NOTHING. He did not make me feel like my concerns were valid even though this a criminal charge. And I'm sure I'm not the first customer they took tips out without permission. I want something to happen either my money back or something.
This place is not good at all the Rice was hard the meat was no taste what so ever I just ordered food and it was very desp disappointment I was very upset I spend $49 on a plate of food that really didn't taste like anything the rice was hard sticky on one side hard on the other I don't know who they got cooking there but let me tell you something they better they should get fired
My son is sick with a flu, so living close by this restaurant went to get him a soup, well, worse service ever, I was at the window and the employees walking by talking and laughing which let's say it's ok, but then the chef/manager I presumed he was smoking all over the place with those e-cigarettes and the server/cashier eating on the counter, it took more than 30minutes to get my soup!!! Horrible service! Had to come back to returned the soup, it was boil water with 3 pieces of meat! Then the manager/chef took the container and went to the back and all he did was to make a sofrito of onions and green onions and poured over the boil water they gave me before! So disappointed of this place!!! Never again!!
I have been here several times for breakfast and it's ok but I went for dinner and the Masitas de puerco were under cooked and cold. I also ordered Mariquitas and they were soggy. The waitress asked me if the food was good and I told her the problem. I ate the rice and beans and showed her the meat and she said next time don't eat anything so I can change it. Rightttt, if I wait around for the service the rice and beans would of gotten cold too. Bad place. Won't go there again.
We go to this place to eat every Friday night yesterday was last time ill ever go the waitress that help us was super rude it’s very sad because the food at this place is amazing the waitress ruined the night for my family
Never going here again , so customer service so bad , the waiters so don’t see and speak to customers, is good food but wrong behavior 🤦🏻♀️.
Dryed up Baca Frita to-go. Picked up order within 10 mins of ordering, waited an additional 5 mins when I arrived so I know it wasn't just sitting there. Arrived home with no utensils, napkins, nor lime for my Pollo empanizado. Been going to this place for awhile and it has been a steady decline of quality since inception. This last experience takes the cake..
Service was ok but I have never been to a cuban restaurant that I had to ask for chimichurri on the skirt steak. and the steak was rare not medium. I could have did much better it wasn't even busy. I think there were only 3 tables at the time I was visiting. But I will never come back it wasn't worth the $ and the food was wrong. I used to work at a authentic cuban restaurant in key west. And they were much better on a busy day then this location with no tables. I prefer small family owned restaurant's but this one needs to get better for sure.
Ridiculously garbage, I ordered a ribeye steak with no color whatsoever not even salt and pepper, the plate presentation was garbage it was a slice of tomato with less than half ounce of chopped up lettuce underneath. instead of a chimichurri they threw raw parsley on top of my steak so it tasted like grass. my wife had the breaded chicken breast with mashed potatoes and plantains. the chicken was okay except for the raw onions that were just thrown on top, could've been sauteed. the mash was okay the plantains were store bought and reheated. for dessert I had the flan which ended up being store bought with a ridiculous plate presentation of syrup all over the edges of the plate and the bunelos were OK besides the damn sugar water that comes with it! It's supposed to be a glaze but the amateur chef hasn't the slightest idea what that is obviously. Waitress was nice
Horrible place!!! As soon as you walk in they yell at you saying that if you want food to take out you have to do it through the window, I understand that, but you don’t have to yell at me that way. I was talking to the lady in the window, then someone passed by and she started talking to him very loud and completely forgot that she was talking to me. I had to remind her that I was there waiting to finish ordering and she made like I was bothering her the entire time. I decided to grow person and continue with my vacation. Also, be aware that they don’t use real ketchup.
I use to come here a lot when it was known as Latin America. Over the last 2 years I’ve come and gone because some of the staff that’s been there for years is still there and their specific service is attentive but the others are just order takers. Talking while taking your order and then messing up your order in person. I just called 5 times and with attitude I’m told to hold in Spanish but she does it with so much attitude and quickness you don’t hear what she even says and she hung up the first time trying to put me on hold. I called while in perdón and they just put people on hold to mess with them. Had no one but me there and output the phone on hold, finished her conversation and then picked up. I don’t think that’s how a business is ran. The food gets worse every time and the reason I say that is because the quality changes. You can tell they keep changing to cheaper alternatives of ham, pork, bread, and even the straws. This use to be a hidden gem for my family and I especially on weekends for breakfast or to meet up before a big event. It use to be lively. Now this place is simple a location that has bad and slow customer service (in store and take out) , bad food, and just not a great vibe. There’s one of these under the same name and they’re slightly better in terms of food but a lot nicer and efficient
The service was SLOW even though the restaurant was empty. I ordered a Bistec Empanizado and it came back GREASY AND BURNT. The steak not the breading. And they flipped it over so I couldn't see. I sent it back and the GENTLEMAN that works making the sandwiches who was very nice made me a cuban sandwich that was amazing. The server didn't even come (out of courtesy) to apologize for the food.
I don’t like to give bad reviews but this one is necessary. I ordered with Ubereats and not only that I paid $16.63(without tip) for a large soup but the portion(not filled to the top) and the dryness(no broth) was horrible. I stopped ordering from here a while back. I saw they had new owners and changed their name to Isabellas. Under Isabella I had no complain. The food was tasty and great portion. I don’t know if they sold again but this is very sad. I have had no luck after name change. Recently ordered and my daughter got food poisoning. I thought of giving them another try. Won’t get my business no more after this
Wouldn’t recommend we wanted something quick and hoped for some authentic Spanish food take out. It was very over priced the white rice I had to finish cooking it because it was hard. The steak I ordered had more fat than meat the flavor was good but not enough meat. Thank goodness the yellow rice was cooked. The pork flavor was good but the breaded chicken was small and over cooked. I ordered also plantain cups with shrimp, well that’s what I thought instead I got smashed plantains and shrimp separately. They couldn’t even tell me that’s what they were giving me knowing I had already ordered plantains with an order. They also don’t really pay attention I wanted yellow plantain as the main dish with the breaded chicken well they gave me 3 yellow plantains and rice as the main dish. Be prepared to also wait super long.

UU.
