Rustica Hondureña Miami Reviews
My hubby and I were trying to figure out where to eat as we were on our way to Home Depot in NMB, he told me to look at this place's menu as he had been here for lunch before. From the outside, the place looks very unassuming and based on some of the reviews I saw, it seemed mixed. I haven't had pupusas in a long time and decided to give it a shot. We were so glad to come here, the service was excellent, the food was delicious and it was very cheap. We ended up taking food home because we didn't realize how big the plates were. This will definitely be in our rotation of restaurants we visit in a monthly basis. Highly recommend the stuffed plantains, it was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Only downside is that parking isn’t great. There’s only street parking available and it’s a heavily trafficked area
I love this place, the best baleadas I ever had. Food is amazing, the ambience is nice and the service is off the chain… simply love it, every time am in the area is my to go restaurant.
This place honestly is one of the best Honduran places in the greater Miami Area. The food, the big screens for games, the variety of drinks, the coffee, and even the decor of the place was on point. The service was amazing, and the food even better! If you are in the North Miami Area .. this is a place you definitely need to visit!
Food was delicious and well made, service was excellent!
Yus was the best server in this place and left an everlasting feeling to come back just to eat good food and enjoy the ambiance…
Amazing food , amazing prices , best place to watch a soccer game and get authentic Honduran food !
Good flavor. Great customer service. Family friendly.
Food is Amazing, doesn't take long to bring the food.
Loved the steak baleada. Great value for delicious food!
Good food good service nice place to go eat and drink with friends
Excelente service good Quality food
Michelada on point Karina bartender is da best
Nice Honduran place is North MIAMI, I really liked the tacos, I order baleadas and they were good, prices are fair, service was fast, I didn’t wait too long. I wish they could deliver to Sunny Isles 😔.
Honestly, the best pupusas & baleadas in nmb. I always do take out and it never takes more than 20mins.
It's a great place me and a pal consistently go to. Go in and ask for a pupusa, you won't regret it. Great place is you want some wholesome Latino food.
Great food good service best prices!! Cant beat it.. a place you have to give it a try!
Delicious soap but also the 🧀 omg you have to order some is. WAOOO 👏 You also can watch football y listen music theres alot of parking space 👍
Great food and great service. It's not a fast food restaurant and the food is cooked to order. It's worth the wait.
Good food reasonably priced if you want authentic ethnic food at a good price this is the place
Food was great and place was very clean. Really enjoyed it
Gotta Love this place and go see for yourself. Great management and staff. Awesome food
Friendly, courteous, convenient, and affordable. Also, they have a delicious Ceviche de Concha Negra.
It was so good I can't describe it, very recommended
Love it!!! Servings are way more than what expected. Food was delicious!!!
Nice location in front of taco bell for a nacho bell grande and meet up with the man or persons too bet on futball.
Loved this place! Service was amazing and great food!
Very delicious food! The owner is a young lady who is truly and inspiring story of determination and will power. The place is very well decorated, kinda small but definitely cozy. They have two big screen TV's and you can watch a lot of sports games here. I definitely recommend this place!
I absolutely love it here, It's always cozy and welcoming. With the friendliest and heart warming staff members you can't go wrong with coming by for the best Honduran food in the area. I definitely recommend it here at Rustica Hondurena.
My waitress Yus provided great service. The food was amazing, and the vibes are immaculate. 10/10 would recommend. Baleadas all day!!!
I placed an order to go. The food was tasty. I really liked my food. I ordered Ceibeño (carne). I also ordered baleadas for my husband but unfortunately they were not hot. I believe they made the baleadas first and then my meal and that's probably the reason why it was cold. Baleadas are pretty fast to make so they should've definitely made it last since they tend to get cold pretty fast. I also loved their Horchata drink. My husband had Mora drink and it was also good. I will definitely come back and give them another try but will eat inside instead of ordering out. Keep in mind this is a pretty small cozy spot. The waitress was nice and overall I did like the vibe there. Very chilled. There's bar seating towards the back.
This place is just what you are looking for. If you want an authentic pupusa, come get it here. Yus is an amazing and friendly waitress. Try this place out!
Really great food. Love the beef soup! The waitresses are always nice and very helpful. If you are by the area don't think about it twice to come in and place an order.
Love the place and the meat michelada in Miami with good food and service
Two friends brought me to this place. My opinion? Great staff, very clean. Food was great, looking forward to coming back. Our waitress/server Genesis was great. Great place after all. Left satisfied.
service was great and the food was good not the best but it was good. the wait time was fast as well i know other reviewers say the wait was long, but i guess since i was the only customer it was pretty fast. I recommend this place for some good authentic honduran food 👍
Great food!!!! Great service!!! My order was done on time, and the customer service is 2nd to none!!! Highly recommended
Service was impeccable. The restaurant was clean. The servers were friends. Spoke spanish and English. Very kind people.
Always their service is excellent, their food is always great tasting and the servers are always courteous.
Had a wonderful time here. Karen who attended to us was lovely and very friendly. Ordered the parrillada rústica, pupusa mixta, and they were awesome, and cooked perfectly. But my favorite was the tres leches, amazing. Highly recommend, not too expensive.
I'm here at least 3 days of if the week. Food is so good. It reminds me of my moms cooking. And since my mom lives in California, and is from Honduras, this is the closest I'm going to get to a "home cooked meal."
Small familiar restaurant. Humble simple. Real tasty homemade food. My sopa de mondongo was very good. Efficient and smiling waitress. I'll be back soon.
Pollo cucho delicious Friendly service Atmosphere is perfect for a quaint neighborhood restaurant
This Honduran restaurant is the best that you can find in this area. The food the atmosphere and the girls, will hosted you as you are family. The greatest mile attentive service is just a plus to the great food. I go anytime here looking for my favorite , short rib soup. Keep up with a good work.
Delicious Honduran Food with a Personal Touch My wife and I visited this cozy little Honduran restaurant after church last Sunday, and we had a wonderful experience. The young woman who served us was quite timid and shy at first, but once she realized I spoke Spanish, she loosened up a bit, though she was still a little nervous. Her genuine personality added a nice touch to the experience. The food was very good—tasty and flavorful. The prices were reasonable, not too expensive, and definitely worth it for the quality. The atmosphere was simple, but comfortable enough for a casual meal. We’ll definitely be returning soon!
Have good food honestly I love it, I’m typing thing at the back of a truck in the highway btw so yeah, it’s rlly good come if you want good Honduras food
It's a good chill spot to go to if you're looking for some Central American food.
Good food but a very long wait time.
Food was delicious but it takes too long to serve..
The staff was great. The food was taste. Keep in mind some items on the menú take a little longer.
Good authentic Honduran cuisine and good service. Hablan Español y Ingles. Good for individuals, families and children. Large televisions for watching sports or videos. Jukebox in the rear. Parking in front and back. Located near several other stores, art galleries and a gas station.
Great food, good customer service. Good prices and sufficient amounts of food. Will keep going back!
Very good food. Very flavorful. Some kind of a long wait.
Nice place ok food. Good stop for lunch.
Its somewhere to eat. If you dont speak english this might not be the place for you. I speak spanish. When i called i spoke English and they hung up on me. Adios amigo.
The staff was very friendly, but the food didn't have any taste at all I was very disappointed 😔
I loved the wall deco and the Venezuelan waiter was awesome. The food in the other hand could be better, the mantequilla in the baleadas is too watery and no flavor ether, the place need to be improved, its got potential.
Food was good, but the fried pork ribs needed a little bit more seasoning. Over good experience.
Good food, good vibe, bad costumer service. The server i think her name was kira very aggressive with bad attitude she should be working as corrections officer
Love the food. But you have to order about an hour before to get your food on time
My review is based on location and the place it self because I didn’t try the food. The moment I went in I walked around and I couldn’t with the bathroom smell so we left. The place is tiny and we couldn’t dine in.
Hope you Guys do better!!! I had to call quite a few times and went to voicemail, Finally i got an answer and guess what? they run out of food!!! many meals like all the soups, and didn’t have most of the dishes on menu. I went ahead and order the basics. First time ordering!!! If you want to thrive just simplify your menu so you don’t run out of options. Wishh you the best.
I've ordered from here a lot.. But the pricing is a bit too high to continue coming.. almost $10 for a beleada "super". It does taste good don't get me wrong.. but for $10 I would prefer carne asada in it not steak tips like the ones used in a soup. If it was larger then the price would be justified. If I continue to come I will grab the regular baleada and go down to a fritanga for a carne asada to slap in it.
The food is very good! The place is very good! Staff very nice! I would give 5 star for the place, BUT they charge you "Fee transaction" from their dreams and "Miami Tourist Fee" even for Miami residents. I complain about this and they don't care.
Food was not the best. I think the chicken breast was rubbed with mustard. The service was okay. Would not recommend to anyone.
People are very nice and patient...but the food was not worth the money. $14 on a plate of food that ended up looking like a kids meal plate, barely any food on my plate! The tacos wasn't worth it neither, the taco shell was soggy. And the worst part is I ordered tres leche dresset and when I arrived home realized they never gave it to me! Me and my boyfriend was so upset waist of money!!!!
Had two dishes the steak was only good thing we had, other items overcooked. Waitress kept forgetting what I said.
I work a block away from this restaurant so i decided to try out a baleada for lunch. I judge my honduran restaurants by their baleadas. If they can't master such a simple delicious item then I probably wont return or order other items off the menu. The baleada was ok, I've tasted way better. My favorite part was the tortilla since it had a nice texture however the mantequilla was very runny, too runny and they barely put any grated cheese on it. As I was already there I decide to order a nance juice, BAD CHOICE, I'd probably had give it two more stars if the juice had been better. Seems like they gave me either the leftover scraps of the juice, since it was very watery, barely any sugar and they didn't strain or blend the nance properly so it had a really thick texture. The place gets two stars for the ambiance. It's a nice small space with a contemporary decor. However, I'd rather sit at a not so hip or maybe a not so great looking restaurant if it means the food will be delicious. Hope this helps you guys improve.
Waitress are very polite. The kitchen takes a very long time to get the food out. We ordered appetizers to taste different items but we got it all together with our breakfast. Couldn't return any of it. If you don't ask questions 1st you won't be happy with your order. The restaurant needs a bigger A/C. It gets pretty warm inside quick.
Food was not very good.
Unrecognizable, Burnt and heavily saturated with cooking oil:. This one is actually hard and sad. It's a scene right out of "Kitchen Nightmares". Chef Gordon Ramsay would of 86 our "Take out". "Stop ✋serving it to the customer"! Why would the chef serve a dish like this? Why would the owner of the restaurant allow this sort of behavior from his/her chef? Would the chef or restaurant owner serve the items that they sold us to their immediate family or closest friends? Simply put, of course not, they would be embarrassed and ashamed to be viewed poorly by their immediate family or closest friends! But it's okay to serve it to "Paying Customers" what do they know anyway, they're just a bunch of fools who really don't know anything or care what good food looks like or how good food is supposed to taste. If either one did "Care" they would make sure each dish not only taste good but looks good too. This restaurant owner & chef have clearly lost their drive, that passion that they once had for the food, for the culture and for their community and thats whats hard to bare and actually sad about the whole ordeal.
services sucks. $10 for a balada and charged me more because of the Credit minimum. Never again this Honduran garbage. EDIT: You guys are a joke. Can you type that reply in English?
Food made me sick last time I went and the Owner is cruel to her employees. Needs an inspection
The food was not good and my eggs had water my beans had so much salt 🧂 the food took so long like they went a hunt for the eggs.
I came here and I specifically order a pupusa con chicharon they the food wasn't even cook flower batter wasn't cooked at all worst resturante ever my pupusa didnt even have chicharon in it just cheese. I won't be coming ever again here these people be in a rush to not cook your food right and you dont get what you paid I advice to stay away from this restaurant do to there services.
Waitress was amazing but I’m very upset about service I order 3 baleadas 2 come on time the 3er was late I request to eliminate the order and they make me pay for it , very bad for the restaurant to do that bad service I will not go back again unfortunately my husband love HondurAs food but this service don’t qualify on this restaurant they are miserably.
Cold food, overpriced and bad taste. Horrible costumer. Told the waitress about cold food and she didn't care.
Went there yesterday afternoon for lunch order a beef soup and the soup barely had vegetables. There wan no customers there I should've known better the place sucks.
Just arrived 8:05 and said there closed, they're listed as 9pm on Sunday It would have been our first time here But I guess we'll never know how the food tastes
The food needs to improve, the quality of the meat is poor and the cheese smelled weird. Not looking forward on going back too pricey too.
Worse place to eat. The food don't taste that good. And the prices are to much no good. And to much traffic to get into the parking erea.
One of the worts place to eat ever! If you read my review and still go eat here then is all you. Bad food, worst service, horrible place and very small, only 3 tables and kitchen looks so dirty.. No starts if I could
Avoid this place. Staff in the morning does not speak English. Not professional people. Came in at 7:20 for breakfast and was told nothing is ready. Come back in half an hour. Mind you, they open at 7am.
Worst place to ever get food, Workers are extremely slow and are very rude, i highly recommend any other Honduran place but this one. 1/10 🤢🪳
The food is overheated and overpriced not going back and dont recomend the place at all
11/16/23 It’s been 8 days now since I received my first time food order from this restaurant and the food was beyond recognition burned and 100% completely unacceptable. I have reached out to the establishment and requested a full refund and I have provided pictures seen below of the extremely poor food given to me and my family to consume. I was told I would be getting a phone call from the manager and a full refund and that has not happened 8 days later. At this point I feel not only ignored but also completely disrespected. At this point I consider this a complete waste of time and I am going to assume that the $71.00 I spent was a donation to this establishment. Keep in mind that eating out and ordering from a restaurant is a luxury not a necessity. I truly believe in the long run your ignorance and lack of communication on your part and your intentions of not making the right decision and making me and my family whole again due to your mistake will in the end affect your business. I do have several recommendations to make: 1. Management- Please re-train your managers to provide good customer service by at least acknowledging the fact that a mistake was made and that efforts to make corrections are being made to further prevent this from happening again in the future. Ignoring your calls and not commenting on your negative reviews just shows a lack of respect towards the people that keep your doors open daily. 2. Cooks- Please use my donation to send them to culinary school where they can be properly taught on how to cook food properly and where they will learn to not serve any food to a paying customer that they themselves would not serve to their own family. I truly believe a hotdog could not be warmed up in a microwave that has preset cooking times on it without it being burned and then served in your establishment. This needs to be addressed immediately. In closing I truly hope that my recommendations are at least considered and somewhat applied because in the end it’s in your best interest as a Honduran restaurant in your community. 11/15/23 I have contacted the merchant again today at 10:08 AM and I was told that the manager is not there and that they don’t know when the manager will come in. I am being told that my money will be refunded, but I am yet to receive a refund or a callback from any manager in order to have a positive resolution on this matter. I have asked and requested for the establishment to do the right thing and fully refund me my money due to the poor quality of food that I received and completely inedible. I was told that the manager would reach out to me today. It’s 5:10 PM and I still have not received a call back. I will update my review if and when the right thing has been done and corrected.
Was recommended to me. We took the family and waited an hour for food. There is no noticeable air conditioning and they had no wine to offer except a really old merlot. The soup was great if you can wait an hour. Otherwise - don't waste your time they will not be around very long....
This place is horrible. Never coming here again. The food took about an hour and there was only one other couple there, the couple left to buy water down the street because our waitress was just sitting down at the bar doing nothing. After we asked for the bill and she added her own tip as “Otro importo”..which fine whatever, however when she brought the iPad out it was a different charge for using a credit card and had no choice. So this is a warning if you’re ready to spend extra money for food with no flavor.
I decided to give this place a try. I came in and ordered what I wanted to try. The waitress came to my table 3 times telling me that they didn’t have what I wanted which is something she should have known from the beginning. The wait was over 20 min just to get the food. When I got it wasn’t warm or fresh at all and it did not taste good either. Very disappointed and will never come back ......I do NOT recommend this place !!!
I do NOT recommend at all. The service was EXTREMELY slow. The waitress forgot to clean the table, and messed up on two out of the three orders placed. She didn’t even write down our orders. It took FOREVER to get our drinks, food, and check. The food was very simple, and unappetizing. I’m Honduran and I know what good Honduran food tastes like. Im so disappointed. I will NEVER come again or recommend it.
Do not come here whatsoever, terrible food, terrible waitress, atmosphere for only people who drink at the bar, the dining area is small, the parking sucks. The steak taste like coal all burnt no flavor whatsoever. Also so expensive, spent about $50 for food that wasn't even good. They don't do no voids whatsoever and wants you to forcefully pay for something that was a mistake. If you want to get scammed, then this Rustica fake Honduran food is the place. If you don't want to get scammed just go to pinolandia en little havana area, it's worth the drive. Or atlacat restaurant is best as well.
Over priced for such poor quality and quantity central American food . $21.00 for cebano con carne and a pineapple juice . The drink was full of pulp which I guess is suppose to be natural but it tasted like flavored water with pineapple pieces, I don't even want to get into the dish itself I'm just hoping I don't get sick at this point .first and last time, never again . **** Worst baleadas I've EVER tried I really wasted over $30 dollars nothing was edible.
Terrible customer service. The lady not once turned to us with a smile or concern that we ordered our food an hour ago! Literally waited over an hour for 2 pupusas. Also order a steak plate which came out an hour later, we ate that and still had to wait longer for our 2 pupusas. The food was not worth the price! Very disappointed, waste of time and money.
Horrible restaurant. Worst ever customer service. Waitress refused to low the tv. Spaniard guy cursing at yelling at a soccer game because he lost money on gambling. Is not Honduran food . Food is overpriced, overcooked and salty
Whenever we went we were expecting what we ordered. The quality of their food was very poor some of the stuff we got was either overcooked or not described correctly. I food took forever to get made. Went with a big family and we all left disappointed. The food is definitely not the way hondurans make it.
I went there for the best soup in town, that's what I heard. Well, it wasn't. Actually I never tried such a poor soup in my life. The tiny little peace of meat was unbelievable. I asked about it and they said it was the exact amount. Soup was flavorless and the put big pieces of 2 vegetables ( didn't like them) in the soup. It was a very bad experience. They said it was different when the other lady was the cook. She is no longer there. What a pity. I am not planning on going back there.
I have been going there for years, the waitress is really nice, eventhough they used to send two tortillas and now they send one, it's close and convenient, too loud music but good hadnmade tortillas and pupusas, today was my last day, they charged me " MIami tourist fee" on top of the "transaction fee" which should be covered by the business not the client, the amount was really small, it;s not the amount it's that I already made a small searched and North Miami has absoltulety nothing to charge under the concept " tourist fee" I am giving one star for "the tourist fee" I am a resident and since when is the City of North Miami touristic to charge a fee?
I ordered baleadas from here like I’ve done in the past but recently, I made an order and my son ended up getting food poisoning from here to the point that he was throwing up every 2 hours which began at 3:30am and had diarrhea for several days. I’m not sure if there was a new cook or if the food that was being sold was old. When we called to speak to a manager about the situation they asked to see pictures of the food and took days to contact us back. Mind you, if your son is throwing up in the middle of the night taking pictures doesn’t even come to mind. AVOID EATING FOOD FROM HERE!!!
¡Cuidado! La peor mesera de nuestra vida. 30 minutos y aún no había pupusas.
