Been here so many times and it’s always amazing but today Bernardo went above and beyond. The food was phenomenal and all of his tricks were original we didn’t expect any of it but we loved it. We’ll be asking for him from now on. Our server Alex was also great! Thank you!
Cedric is amazing. What a fun spot. Top tier customer service. Vibes galore.
Amazing experience for my birthday! Oneyker was great. He made the food taste amazing and his show was on point and very entertaining and interactive.
Samurai has the best food! The staff is extremely friendly and always have a smile on their face. They were kind enough to bring our dedicated staff some food to fuel them. A huge shoutout to Veronica & Paul for being professional & kind. Now the food, DELICIOUS! There was not one single item we didn’t enjoy, the rice, shrimp, steak, chicken & veggies were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. To Samurai staff, you guys out did yourself! A million thanks from the staff here at PAWS4You Rescue, it’s always an awesome experience!
My recent visit to Samurai Restaurant was an absolute delight, truly living up to its reputation for an exceptional dining experience. After a brief wait, which was completely worth it, we were seated at the lively hibachi grill, and the vibrant atmosphere immediately set the tone. Our chef, a true maestro of both the grill and entertainment, put on an incredible show. His knife skills were mesmerizing, and his witty banter kept our entire table thoroughly entertained throughout the meal. It wasn't just dinner; it was a captivating and interactive performance that made the evening truly memorable. The food itself was nothing short of exquisite. I indulged in a hibachi dish, and every single ingredient, from the succulent proteins to the perfectly seasoned fried rice, was cooked to perfection. A key tip: arrive with a hearty appetite! They are incredibly generous with their servings, starting you off with a comforting soup, a crisp salad with that wonderful ginger dressing, and even a special appetizer prepared by the chef, all before your main course. The service was impeccable; our server was consistently attentive, anticipating our needs and ensuring our glasses were never empty. Samurai is, without a doubt, the perfect spot for a fantastic meal, whether it's a special celebration or just a fun night out. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Samurai is hands down our favorite Japanese restaurant! The food selection is incredible, and the multi-course experience is always amazing from start to finish. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — you can truly taste the quality. We absolutely love the staff as well. Samantha and Alex are two of our favorite waiters — they’re always friendly, attentive, and make us feel so welcome every time we visit. Their service honestly makes the experience even more special. We go at least once a week, and it never disappoints. If you’re looking for outstanding Japanese cuisine and exceptional service, Samurai is a must-visit!
The food was awesome wasn't happy with the salad dressing this time
Me and my just recently married wife actually decided to come here to celebrate the occasion since it's not that often that we come by. I forgot the name of our chef but we had a great time with him as well as the extra stuff he pulled for the moment. She also got one of those mini birthday cakes and everyone was singing. Great time and also great service. Again, we don't come here often but when we do it's always a great experience.
The food at this restaurant is amazing. Armando was our chef and he was incredible with us. Super happy guys, amazing skills, super fast and attentive. I wanna say thanks to Samurai managers for providing the best service and being super fast making the food. I know that the waiting takes a long time and a lot of people around, but it's worth the waiting. The dessert was fantastic and I wanna say that we are going to visit again.
First time coming to Samurai and I had an amazing experience with my friends! Armando the chef did an amazing job! He had the best attitude and really showed passion in what he was doing. Super polite and professional, his hospitality was 10/10. Food was great as well for sure made with love :) I ordered small and simple and it was very delicious, with reasonable portions for the price. They also offer non alcoholic drinks which was great since I’m pregnant and wanted something others than soda, definitely try the Mango Colada! Great for celebrating any event with friends and family. Definitely coming back again soon!
Talk about a meal and a show!! If you haven't been here you have to try it at least once. This particular Samurai has been here for years. The food is delicious!! They make the rice with garlic butter and then they serve you these two side sauces...I always only get double portions of the shrimp sauce. I think it's a shrimp-based sauce. I'll have to ask next time I'm there. From the moment you walk in to see the friendly face behind the counter, to the table server, runner, and chef it's an experience you'll never forget. You can take a date, family, friends, or even go solo. The table is set up in such a way that even if you go solo you won't be dining alone. I usually order the lunch combo with chicken and shrimp. The meal comes with a side of soup or salad, mushrooms (yum), veggies, chicken or veggie fried rice or you can order good old white rice. The salad has this ginger dressing that is to die for. The soup is delicious as well except that when it's for lunch you have to pick one or the other (soup or salad). Whichever one you choose trust me you won't be disappointed. For dinner, you do get both the soup and salad so you get the best of both worlds. Plus it doesn't matter if it's lunch or dinner the portions are very hearty. It doesn't seem like it at first but once you have all of the food on your plate you realize it's plenty of it. The only downfall is the heat/vapor, and you'll walk out smelling like you just prepared your meal but you'll leave happy. As my grandma used to say, " Full belly, happy heart."
First visit and was great experience to see life cooking with Chef Cristian.M 👌 The food was delicious out of his hands and was very professional and nicely done… it worth the long waiting for it .. thanks to all the team in Samourai for their nice welcome and good attitude … I noticed an old member cleaning the next table and preparing it for next costumers.. he was so professional in doing it and I salute him for his dedication and professionalism.. well done 👍 Highly Recommend 4 all to visit 🌺
Excellent atmosphere and service. The food was awesome. Lunch time has discount prices. The pink sauce goes well with everything! The restaurant it self is very nice and has a relaxing vibe. The service is very professional! and the cooks are right in front of you just in case you have any special requests for the food you order. I have been coming here for years and the employees are always nice and professional. I hope to see you soon keep up the good work.🍽🍷🥇🏯
Awesome experience at Samurai! David’s service was phenomenal and Bernie is an awesome chef! David very attentive and on top of everyone at the table. Bernie really knew how to keep the table engaged while being a great chef! Thank you
Getting together with a friend yesterday at Samurai for an early dinner. Samurai is very similar to Benihana with the big hibachi table that guests can sit at watching the chef cook their meal in front of them. Always entertaining. We ordered the Samurai Spicy Shrimp & Filet meal, the Samurai Onion Soup and Samurai salad, and the Samurai California Roll. Everything was delicious. Service was very good here. Our server was attentive to our needs. Parking was easy and we got a good spot near the resturant. It was a very good experience.
Exceptional Experience at Samurai! Samurai never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and full of energy. The chefs put on an incredible show — skillful, entertaining, and full of personality — while serving the freshest ingredients cooked perfectly on the teppanyaki grill.
If you like sushi or Japanese cuisine, Samurai is the place to go in Miami. People love this restaurant, sooo get ready to pay the price. And I am not talking about money. Monday -Thursday between 10 min to 1 hour waiting. Weekend- good luck. Sometimes up to two hours. And this is Miami. Late won’t help you. 10-10:30pm still packed. Has free valet and that’s very helpful. Parking is little cramped. The good news is they have very big bar. This way when you waiting you can have a drink and appetizer. After you are seated will take another half hour before the chef show up. But the staff is very friendly and helpful. While you are waiting you get your drink, a soup and a salad. Cooking is a show specially if you are with a kids. Very entertaining. The food is always delicious. Doesn’t matter what you order everything it’s prepared awesome. The chicken fried rice it’s a must try. It’s not cheap but usually you will leave the restaurant with a bag with one more meal for the house. Portions are very generous. Once you visit this restaurant you end up always coming back. Great family dining experience.
I'd never ordered takeout from here before but wanted sushi. It took an hour but it was definitely worth it. Ordered the sushi platter for 2 which came with a tiny bit of wakame (seaweed salad), 2 side salads and 4 rolls of your choice - there's a limited selection of rolls but a decent amount to choose from. Very well priced too!
Pleasant experience. We made a reservation so we got seated as soon as we walked in. The food and presentation were phenomenal and Stephen was very attentive to us.
It’s frustrating to see how some customers treat service workers. While waiting for my order, I witnessed a takeout employee being spoken to very disrespectfully while she was simply explaining menu differences and pricing. Even after providing clear clarification and showing the menu, the customer continued to escalate the situation and later gave a misleading account to management. From my perspective, the employee showed far more patience and professionalism than the situation warranted.
The experience was amazing. Especially with the manager Veronica to serve us with mega service. Taking care of everything we wanted. The chef Jaime gave us everything we wanted to eat. Including special requests. Valet is outstanding because it's free and if it's raining just let the people take your car and park it. There's music in the background. And for kids a chef hat. With kids menu. This is an amazing place.
I visited this restaurant on Father’s Day 👨👧👦. It’s a warm, family-friendly place with a lively atmosphere 👨👩👧👦✨. The food was delicious—well-prepared, full of flavor, and the meats were incredibly fresh 🥩👌. The cocktails were tasty too 🍹😋. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the service. Chef Daniel cooked with heart 👨🍳❤️, and our waitress Jayde made us feel right at home 🏡💫. You have to come and treat yourself to a special day here. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite Japanese restaurants. Every hibachi chef that I have encountered was super nice, entertaining, and funny. The food is delicious. They have this garlic butter that any food that it touches is like having heaven in your mouth. You can even buy that butter in the restaurant. And don’t forget that yum yum sauce. It’s creamy with a slight tangy. You can’t never have enough yum yum sauce on your plate.
Chef Shawn is incredible! True samurai skills on the grill — sharp, precise, and full of flavor. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the experience was both fun and professional. Highly recommend!
Samurai is always a delightful experience!!!! We celebrate every birthday and holiday here. Alex is the best server!!!! Food is always delicious and service is amazing. Highly recommend every time!
The wait was an hour past our reservation, but I guess that’s understandable considering it was Valentine’s Day. The service was great. Samantha was very attentive and Cedric was very entertaining and friendly.
Tahira and Katherine were phenomenal they were extremely helpful with my takeout order and answered all my questions i had about their menu and what was included.
My family and I love coming here. Veronica, the manager, is especially attentive to our needs and always makes it a priority to come say hello and ask how everything is going. We visit this location at least once a month and it’s always good and the experience is always excellent. The quality of the food is fresh and cooked to perfection. When in doubt “Samurai” is the answer. Will be coming back soon. Vu the chef today was excellent. You can request if they are working when you check in.
My boyfriend and I love samurai! It is our go to restaurant. We live in Miramar and make the drive down! The food is fantastic, the servers are great and the chefs rock! I especially love that they take reservations now!!! Makes life so much easier! Heck, we are going back tonight!
Have never been here before. I have a ton of mixed feelings about this place. First positive is that our server, Irving (I believe was his name), was spectacular! Amazing and great service, all the way around. Next positive was their lychee martini, so so delicious. I would come back here just for that. Next positive is the free valet parking. Another positive was there chicken wings. I believe we ordered the garlic butter flavor. Those were delicious! First negative is the time. Although you get seated rather quickly, your hibachi table must be full for you to start your hibachi experience. Then the hibachi chef honestly took forever to come to our table. I don't know if it was because we were tired and hungry that it felt like forever but it felt too long. The food to start with was pretty good. The main course, I ordered spicy chicken with special fried rice, wasn't worth the wait. The flavor was there but it was a little dry. However, my significant other ordered like a surf and turf mix and that was pretty delicious. I would go back but not for hibachi.
Wow! I was shocked by the amount of flavor in the food. It was delicious!! Especially when I found out these people are owned by Benihana’s. You can’t compare the two. This place is so much better. The service for my party of 20 was spectacular. The wait time sucked and it was extremely expensive but worth it , in my opinion. I enjoyed everything I ate.
✨ A First-Time Hibachi Experience We’ll Never Forget! ✨ My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Samurai in Miami, and let me tell you—it was a feast for the senses from start to finish! 💫 From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and full of excitement. We were lucky enough to have Sergio as our Hibachi Chef, and WOW—he was phenomenal! His charisma, skill, and showmanship turned dinner into a performance we’ll be talking about for weeks. Every sizzle, flip, and flame was pure joy 🔥🍤. And our server? Though I didn’t catch his name, I know he’s the best in the house—short hair, two-toned, glasses, and a heart of gold. His kindness and attention to detail made us feel so cared for. Truly the kind of service that elevates a meal into a memory 💖. The food itself? A visual masterpiece and an explosion of flavor. Every bite was crafted with care, and the presentation was stunning. It was our first Hibachi experience, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We left so happy, full of delicious food and even fuller hearts. I’d recommend Samurai without hesitation—and we’re already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you for making our night unforgettable!
marley was a great server , we really enjoyed the experience and we’re looking forward to come back to this place soon
It’s a good experience! Noel, the chef, did a great job, he’s a good entertainer! I recommend this place food was exquisite but I can give you a recommendation don’t get a starter before eating cause they give you a lot of food … like a soup, salad And the chef prepares you something before your big mealll!!
This was an amazing place to go for Valentine’s Day dinner Noel was our chef request him !!! Made the food with so much flavor can’t go wrong with Noel as your chef and Samantha was our waiter she was very attentive with our table and made sure we had everything we needed at all times I 100000% recommend them if you come to eat here you will leave happy money well spent !!!
I have been to Samurai many times. Even though Benihana and Samurai are part of the same company, Samurai is far superior in my opinion. My last visit, Gregory, was our chef and he did not disappoint. His hibachi performance had things that I had never seen. Beside the great show, his cooking was superb. I don't know if I was really hungry but it was the best I have tasted yet. I love to collect their mug collection, and it's just an extra perk to the whole experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who lives in Miami or is visiting Miami.
My husband and I share the same birthday week. We each got a $50 birthday promotion in our emails. Can we combine this into 1 transaction ? I tried calling the restaurant to ask but got no answer. Also, been there about 4 times and we love itttt!!!!!
Angie our server was amazing! Hi spirits and loved the smile she wore throughout her service. Ryan our chef was fantastic. Every time my family and I come in from now on, we will be asking for them both! Overall always a great experience here and love the staff here
My first time at Hibachi Samurai was fantastic! It started off with complimentary valet from very friendly and attentive staff. Then we spent the evening at the bar, and the service couldn’t have been better. Han, the General Manager, went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, and you can tell she really cares about her guests. Mike, the bartender, was amazing - friendly, quick, and made great drinks that kept the night fun. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, and overall it was just a perfect first visit. Can’t wait to come back! Unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the amazing steak, shrimp, and sushi, but trust it was 10 out of 10, as well as the Mai tais!
Insanely experience thanks to Christian P. As the most amazing chef (will request him again!). He was very professional, friendly and charismatic!! AND Steven our server, was very very nice and attentive!!
Good times and good food for all! It doesn't matter if you're seated at a private table or in a group -this place always serves customized, freshly cooked food with entertainment. I was sat at a table with my partner and two birthday couples this evening. Bernardo grew our appetites and gave us all some hearty laughs as he expertly cooked our food to perfection. We can't wait to come back for another night of delicious food and good humor. I hope we have the pleasure of having Bernardo taking care of us again!
The hostess wasn't as respectful as she could have been, but the rest of the staff worked as a well-practiced team. The wait was long but well worth it. One person met us at the table for drinks and took our order. After a wait, the chef came to the table and did his magic. The entertainment made the food even better. As we completed each course, our plates would "magically" disappear from the table!
Had a wonderful lunch. Food was great, server was attentive and chef made it fun and entertaining. Thank you for the experience.
I recently had the sushi tray made by Tahiri and Kathrine, and it was honestly amazing. Everything looked fresh and beautifully put together. The sushi tasted just as good as it looked. Each piece had great flavor and you could tell they put real care into making it. The rice was perfect and the fish tasted very fresh. I also liked how the tray had a nice variety, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. It felt like restaurant quality sushi made with love. I would definitely recommend their sushi trays to anyone looking for something delicious and well made.
If you’ve been to Samurai before, you know the format can feel a bit repetitive over time. The hibachi routine follows a familiar rhythm, and on its own, it might not feel brand-new if you’re a regular. That said, what truly made this visit exceptional was the people. Cook Rafael was outstanding—effortlessly funny, engaging, and full of energy. He read the table perfectly, kept everyone laughing, and turned a familiar show into a genuinely entertaining experience. His personality and timing made all the difference and reminded us why the hibachi table is still so fun when done right. And then there’s Sandy, who provided truly impeccable service. Attentive without hovering, warm, professional, and on top of every detail from start to finish. She made us feel welcomed and well taken care of the entire night. Because of Rafael and Sandy, what could have felt like a routine dinner turned into a memorable night. They are absolute standouts and the reason we’ll be back. Samurai is lucky to have them.
I visit this location more than I should for any occasion or just because, depending on chef it dictates how the food will taste ( the butter used ) but the gentleman thats a manager ( cant remember his name ) he is always working with a smile, he is always thinking of the customers experience. The parking needs to be expanded, if only it connected to the back side or allowed to walk. Just today was advised by valet (that was overwhelmed)no parking so sorry cant dine in so left after making the line ( if full should close or put a sign lot full )
Marley was fantastic — so friendly, attentive, and professional. She made sure everything was perfect and truly went above and beyond. Chef Gregory also did an amazing job — the food was outstanding! Such a great experience overall. Highly recommend!
We had the most wonderful Valentine’s Day lunch at Samurai! ❤️ The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A special thank you to Samantha P. for her outstanding service. She was warm, attentive, and truly made our experience feel special from start to finish. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for my husband and me, and her positive energy made our celebration even more memorable. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend asking for Samantha P. when you visit—she’s amazing! 🌸✨
Mike truly made our entire experience exceptional. He was attentive, on point, and incredibly respectful throughout the entire experience. He made sure we were taken care of from start to finish, and his drinks were nothing short of amazing. You can really tell he takes pride in what he does. We’ll definitely be back and hope to see Mike behind the bar again! 🍸👏
I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s still one of my favorite spots. The hibachi is always delicious and the chefs put on a great show every time. It’s a fun experience with consistently great food. Definitely recommended. 🍜🔥🥢
Samantha P. Is absolutely incredible! She is truly a pleasure and made our experience amazing. Her friendly face, and upbeat attitude really makes a difference in our dinning. Thank you, Samantha for being awesome!
I liked the Japanese concept of cooking at your table. The waiter and the cook great attention and kindness. The food with a delicious flavor and at its point. The drinks, especially the excellent cocktails. Definitely a place to return.
We were a party of 5 that arrived at about 1pm, put our names down and waited approximately 20 min. A few minutes later we were greeted by our waitress who brought us our drinks and took our order. Most of my party ordered from the hibachi menu, everything that Chef Edwin made was excellent! He was entertaining, funny and a true delight to have as our chef! I ordered the edemame, California roll and crispy rice. The crispy rice was not good at all, tasted like refrigerator, very oily and tasteless. California roll was ok. Definitely entertaining to watch the chefs cooks- overall a good time.
Great food and the chef was amazing, but the service was slow when we came, maybe they were busy. But would definitely come back!
Good time good food, family place, need to wait 30 min, some times you will share the table with others person, if you are 4 maybe at the other side you share with 2 the table , the chef will be cooking for all the peoples at the table. Tip. Yuu can found the birthday coupon for $30 on line . Be sure you get the coupon before arrival to the place .
The experience was pleasurable overall and restaurant was well maintained. I was delighted we were seated as soon as we came in. Our chef was pleasant and the food was good. The restaurant was full so at times it was hard to hear what the chef was saying to us. We ordered the Rocky’s choice steak and chicken, teriyaki chicken, spicy tuna roll, samurai mojito and strawberry daiquiri. The drinks were disappointing and sushi was sub par. I would visit again and recommend.
It’s a nice place, service is good and the food tastes very good, however… The wait time once they seat you until the chef comes to prepare the food was way too much, almost 45 minutes… also, the portions they are serving used to be way more generous than it is now. Overall… it’s a good place for a nice celebration dinner.
Good family place, decent food, good service. A little pricey for the food, but its entertaining and cooked at your table.
people are very nice food is perfectly cooked very polite great service the cooks always have a great little surprise
I recently called in a order for take out and the food is not the same. Not only that it cost more without the experience. When I asked the young lady working take out why the food was more than the menu I was looking at she said I don't know. The manager came out and explained that it's more for the to go items because of the packaging, which is understandable but I always take food to go when I dine in, which is regularly by the way. She said the take out plates cost more. I identified myself as a business coach and told her I understood and suggested she trained staff to know this info because "I don't know" is never an option. She also said she'd report it to corporate which I highly doubt. Although I had this experience I will return BUT NOT FOR TAKE OUT THAT FOOD WAS HORRIBLE.
I love coming here for habachi and tonight did not disappoint. The fried rice with the pink sauce is always a hit. My go to order is the meal that comes with the steak, chicken and shrimp. The service is always good. The chefs are nice and friendly while they’re making the meals. The only thing to note is that this time the chef didn’t have much experience putting on a show and that was evident. He wasn’t as smooth with the cookware before he cooked, he struggled a bit doing the volcano with the onion and he kept dropping food on the table as he was serving. When I asked him how long he has been doing it, he said 3 months and shared that before he used cook in the back. He was still entertaining though. During this visit, there was also two children crying, which disrupted everyone in the room. However, I understand that was not the restaurant’s fault. The other thing is that every time you come, you will smell like food. Nonetheless, this is my go to place for habachi and I will continue to come here.
In keeping with the American tradition of usurping national traditions and adopting to the american palate, this is considered "japanese"..it is strictly american, no such places in Japan. Very busy place, i was told that their annual revenue runs in the millions (owned by corporate boards who own many other franchises such as Benihana), but poorly paid staff from what I read . The staff did not seem particularly happy or eager to serve. The food at best was mediocre, the chicken tasteless. The pre prepared appetizers had a bit of class. Very lively atmosphere, very large restaurants with multiple rooms and very very busy. Service is somewhat slow and lifeless. this is my opinion as the place was brimming with people and I am a visitor to these shores. The food is overpriced and i dont think i will go back . Heard many people celebrating birthdays so it might be a ritual place for americans who know nothing about Japanese food
After so many years coming to this place today we had a very disappointing experience, our sever and our chef Edwin both great. There was a problem with the amount of of the appetizer and when we brought it up we’re told that the amounts are being cut. This after a new company took ownership. Again very disappointing experience
It took forever for them to start with ID because they needed a certain amount of people at a table. That was fine. Although they filled 2 tables before ours. I think they try to sit “similar” people together. Idk. The food was good and so was the show they put on. I think I would have had a better experience if I wasn’t so cranky from the long wait at the table.
BAD MANAGEMENT! I've come to Samurai for decades for my birthday and never had a bad meal. That ended last night. The Bounty of the Seven Seas offer with shrimp, scallops and fish in the lime, ginger, butter sauce was not grilled but steamed on the hibachi grill. Foil on the bottom and plastic wrap on top. The seafood was tiny and of low quality. Not lime but lemon and NO ginger. High prices for low quality foods. It's PROFIT OVER PEOPLE. The lobster fried rice was made with frozen Maine lobster claws that tasted older than they should and had a rubbery texture. At $21.00 for 2 ounces of rice, I was NOT happy. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE SERVICE OR STAFF. They work with they are provided and I give all the STAFF 5 stars. Their regular items, veggies, chicken fried rice cooked on the hibachi grill were all still good. However, if you're going to hype a special for seafood, do you have to be reminded to offer GOOD seafood? The answer is yes; they do. There was no bounty and if I can do better myself at home, why am I going to come to you? The answer is, I won't be. I will miss my yearly visits but as the management chose to provide this type of food, I will choose to spend my hard-earned money elsewhere.
Dining at Samurai A New Era Under New Management I recently had lunch at Samurai in Dadeland and shared a table with five lovely ladies. The restaurant, now under new ownership (along with Benihana), has implemented a strict policy for alcoholic beverages, a physical driver’s license is required for all guests, regardless of age. Yes, even guests who are 60 must present their ID. Digital copies or photos on your phone will not be accepted, so if you plan to enjoy a drink, bring your physical license. For lunch, most of us started with their signature soup. Unfortunately, when served, the soups were cold. The manager took them back to the kitchen, but instead of bringing fresh bowls, they reheated the same ones which meant the soups, already tasted by each of us, were returned and mixed up among guests. This was concerning for hygiene and comfort. Thankfully, the issue was resolved when they replaced the soups with fresh ones, complete with crispy onions on the side. The entrées, however, did not disappoint. The lunch specials, which allow you to choose two meats, were delicious, well-prepared, and served promptly. Service from the staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and the service was pleasant. My main takeaway: bring your physical ID if you plan to order alcohol and perhaps the kitchen could improve procedures when addressing food temperature issues.
Food was good but we came to celebrate my Daughter birthday and I have to remind them 3 times and they didn’t do it. The guy was trying to impress us with his Spanish talking and missed the most important part of our visit. Even though I remind him 2 times. The one that cook was good but our waiter was not good. He apologized I’m Very disappointed
Paid 50 dollars and got this small of a portion 34 hibachi plus 7 rice now i’m paying 34 just for chicken because the chef gave me 4 pieces of mushrooms and barely any veggies. Just disappointed because I was a long term customer been coming for years .
My first and most likely last visit here. As I entered the reception from a staff member was cold. The lady who took my number down never asked if I wanted to sit at the teppanyaki table or preferred al la carte. We waited for 15 mins before seated in front the hot plate which is not what we wanted for lunch. To cut the story short, this place had good service however food wasn’t entirely great. The salad dressing was excessive and off balance (very sour). The raw fish had an awful smell and after taste was horrible. Out of curiosity I enquired where the fish was sourced and when I heard that it’s farmed, well it explains why it doesn’t taste good especially as sashimi. On the upside the beef yakisoba was delicious. The lunch special was good value for money. Serving size was decent. I felt the atmosphere was dull. There are so many reasons it’s not for me but I’ve seen people seem to dig this place. Each to their own!
Way overpriced. Really delicious but way too pricey for what the portion was. Beautiful and clean place. Workers are very kind and respectful. The chef that cooked our food was really funny and relaxing to watch. But you easily pay 100$ for two people. DISCLAMER: if you park in the TJ maxx parking lot and cross to samurai, you WILL get towed. Then your bill will be 200$. I suggest expanding the parking to avoid that.
Today I ordered two special fried rice, chicken and I can honestly say it was disgusting and I’m extremely surprised because Samurai was one of the best restaurants in Miami. If in each order I found three or four pieces of chicken. It was too much the rice was practically colorless. There was no egg and there was a couple of onions didn’t smell like before didn’t taste like before like I said I was Really disgusted. It seems a restaurant has been sold, and the new owners have done a very poor job on maintaining what Samurai used to be and I don’t see myself going back unless things go back to the same way they used to be. In fact, I went during lunch and the restaurant was empty compared to a few months ago
So disappointed. The service was poor we asked for lemon for our water I had to go ask for it at the bar after asking the server twice. I ordered sushi that took so long I didn’t even want it and the food was super salty. I am big on giving second chances this one won’t see me again.
I ordered steak habachi for delivery through Uber eats. I paid $47 for it, expecting a good size portion of steak for that price. However, when I received it there was hardly any steak in the container. I tried calling to figure out if the portion of meat is in fact this small or if I'm missing part of my order. Some AI CSR answered the call, and couldn't help me. She or it (as it's AI) transferred my call to a "Live" person and the phone just rang forever. So I'm giving 2 stars because I think I way overpaid for my meal and I could not get anyone on the line or even leave a message when I called. Aside from that I'm also missing the corn I ordered. I guess I'll make myself a good ol' sandwich.
Portion to price ratio is not worth it! Since they’re under new management things haven’t been the same. Small amount of steak, shrimp and chicken. You are better off cooking Habachi at home for your family. We are disappointed with Samurai.
This restaurant was an equivalent to Beni Hanna, but in a recent visit with visible vents all over the restaurant it was really annoying. The prices are too high for the experience and the quality of the food, as 3 people eating chicken/shrimp plate without alcoholic beverages and 1 ice tea was almost $260.00. You can attend a higher dining restaurant in the area with a bottle of wine and spend less. The atmosphere was chaotic at best, and I would not recommend. The parking is also difficult and if you valet be ready to wait.
I come here often. Many times I've chosen to walk because parking is a nightmare. So over the weekend I ordered take out. There are a couple spots catered to takeout but they were taken. Everything else is VALET! AND let me tell ya those guys are vultures. I had no choice but to park in an empty spot not really posted as "valet" and as I was walking up a valet guy yelled at me for parking there. I quickly advised him I was not staying that i was only picking up food and he in very broken English yelled at me again. I wanted to return the $60 worth of food i had just ordered.
So so so highly dissatisfied and disappointed that Samurai has changed their shrimp. Did anyone else notice, or is it just me. I was truly a happy client and spent lots of money and time at Samurai, but now that they changed the one thing I mainly went there for, I probably won’t becoming back. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
My experience at Samurai was completely unacceptable. The food was terrible — poorly prepared and, to make matters worse, I actually found hair in my meal. Disgusted, I threw the food away immediately. When I went to speak with the manager, I calmly explained what happened and acknowledged that I no longer had the food, so I understood that a refund might not be possible. However, what truly shocked me was the manager’s attitude — he was dismissive, rude, and made no effort to handle the situation professionally. The workers also seemed completely indifferent, showing zero urgency or care about the issue. Mistakes happen, but the way this restaurant handled the situation was disgraceful. A simple apology and a bit of respect would have gone a long way, but instead I left feeling disrespected and frustrated. I won’t be returning, and I’d strongly caution others about the lack of hygiene and customer service here
I was shocked by how bad this restaurant has become. The bill for 8 adults and 2 kids was over $1,100, which is outrageous for the terrible experience we had. The entire place was filled with smoke because the ventilation system clearly doesn’t work. I left smelling like grease, my clothes ruined, and feeling sick to my stomach. Even worse, my brother drink had shards of glass in it. When we told the manager, he was extremely unprofessional and did absolutely nothing about it. That was the final straw completely unacceptable. This restaurant is no longer worth it. Don’t waste your time or your money.
Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the kitchen exhaust system was not working. The entire place was filled with smoke and the smell of grease, and we ended up leaving with our clothes and hair saturated with it. To make matters worse, one of my friends found glass shards in his drink — a serious health hazard. When we reported this to the manager, his response was dismissive and showed no real concern or willingness to address the issue. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant under any circumstan
Absolutely disgusting food! I remember when this place you to be good years back and this place is just ridiculously over priced and they serve you whatever the heck the want! I was eating in the sushi area tables with one other person and it came to 100 dollars with just 3 rolls of sushi, 1 salad and 2 miso soups. The miso soups were so filled with onions it could have been called an onion soup. The salads had the ugliest and rotten pieces of lettuce that it is disrespectful that they are even allowed to serve. And don’t get me started on the sushi. The sushi was absolutely disgusting and rotten. Spent 100 bucks and left the place with a horrible upset stomach, may have food poisoning, and a hole in my wallet! DO NOT COME HERE!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this hibachi restaurant was truly unacceptable from start to finish. It took over 20 minutes before anyone even came to our table to take drink orders. Another couple seated with us had to flag down a waiter just to try to place a drink order and were told they had to wait. They eventually walked to the bar to get their own drinks, and came back before any server ever showed up. Things didn’t get better from there. We sat for over an hour waiting for a hibachi chef to arrive. Multiple requests were made to speak with a manager, which were completely ignored. I personally saw the staff notify the manager, who acknowledged the request and then walked away without ever coming to our table. When the chef finally did arrive, it was immediately obvious that the ventilation system was broken. The second he started cooking, thick, greasy smoke filled the air, turning the experience into something closer to a steam room than a dinner. We mentioned the issue to the chef, who candidly admitted that the exhaust fans have been broken for months and that management and corporate have ignored his repeated requests to fix them. He even said that they normally don’t seat guests on that side of the grill because of the smoke issue. Unfortunately, by then the damage was done, our clothes and hair were saturated with the smell of grease and smoke, and my eyes were burning throughout the meal. Once again, I asked to speak with the manager about the situation. When she finally came over, she offered no apology or empathy whatsoever, just a quick statement that she would “discount part of the bill” before walking away. Discounting a meal does not make up for a ruined evening. In total, it took over an hour and forty minutes before we even had food on our plates. To make matters worse, the hibachi “show” was almost nonexistent, from what I could actually see from the thick smoke there were just two very basic "tricks" (heart and volcano), which left the children at our table visibly disappointed. Between the broken ventilation, the lack of management accountability, and the overall indifference from the staff, this restaurant is in serious decline. The county should honestly step in and shut it down until the ventilation issue is fixed. It’s a shame to see a once-beloved South Florida staple deteriorate so badly. For the prices they charge, you’re far better off dining elsewhere in Miami. Until they refurbish and bring this place back up to standard, save your money and your lungs and go somewhere else.
As a life long customer, my latest visit to Samurai for lunch was an extreme disappointment. As usual, we ordered the filet mignon and what they brought us was ridiculous. Each filet was two cutlets that weren't enough for the chef to cut into 8 small pieces. The chef was embarrassed with the quality of meat he was given. I must say the chef did an extraordinary job of cooking though. The food was delicious and the service was great as usual but the quality and quantity has diminished. This new administration or ownership is severely cutting corners although prices have ballooned.
We went for a birthday celebration, and two of us ordered steak , we were asked what kind of steak we wanted with NY Strip as a choice, when the bill came I was surprise that the hibachi steak, dinners were a total of $140 . Shameful that they don't tell there's an uncharge. Dinner was $240 for three people. No good business practice to uncharge you on every little item. By the way, your steak was full of grizzle. Never returning and letting every person I know in Miami, that they servers bait you into ordering higher priced items when you're ordering. Use to be a nice place to go to, Buyer beware! DO NOT RECOMMEND, STAY FAR AWAY. UPDATE: Not interested in replying to the establishment. You have many reviews where the same thing has happened and you ask the customer to get back to you again and again. Obviously this is an ongoing problem and it's not addressed at the core, nor have you changed policies because some people complaint but not everyone does, so you still make the extra money from those people that don't care or know how to leave a review. I'm not going back, but perhaps you should look at your business model, because there is a large segment of the population in Miami who have been loyal customers or remember Samurai from back in the day. It's a shame. Good Luck
Went not too long ago for my moms birthday waited for 2 hours when the wait time was said to be 15 minutes service was bad and food was just okay ive been coming here for years and im very disappointed with my experience and will not be coming again this place has been open for YEARS and all im seeing is higher priced food with trashy service. The other people seated in our table also left because they were disappointed with the service DO BETTER.
My experience was horrible, disgusting, I felt cheated in my order online to celebrate my son's birthday. I don't want to waste my time with the details. I went to talk to the manager, a man with gray hair and light eyes and he looked annoyed, the girl had no desire to work. Disgusting food, I had a bad time and the manager didn't answer me well. Don't have a bad time and throw away your money.
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Samurai in The Falls. We made a reservation in advance and arrived on time, only to be told by the host that they had no idea when we would be seated. Being told there was no estimated wait time completely undermines the purpose of making a reservation. The most concerning part of the experience was the conduct of the host. The interaction was not only dismissive, but came across as rude and degrading toward guests who were simply asking for clarification. There was visible disorganization at the front, multiple customers appeared confused and frustrated, and staff members were openly rolling their eyes. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. We ultimately left without dining because the situation was handled so poorly. A restaurant’s hospitality begins the moment guests walk in the door, and unfortunately this fell far below reasonable expectations. I strongly encourage management to review their reservation system and provide proper customer service training to front-of-house staff. This experience was unacceptable and should not happen to paying customers. Update : after the copy paste response I see that this is an ongoing ignored issue with this restaurant. I already filled out the blow link on the same night since that’s what they tell everyone to do. Still no response
We made reservations well in advance, we got there 20 minutes early and from the very beginning service received was horrible. We waited for an hour and 20 minutes before we were finally sat and then an additional 35 minutes before we were given our drinks and not to say our food. Cook was great! We were celebrating a birthday and they didnt even sing happy birthday! As a business owner myself, I believe management gave no value to us as repeat customers.
My experience at Samurai restaurant was terrible. The exhaust fans were not working, and the smoke from the cooking filled the entire place, making the atmosphere suffocating and unpleasant. On top of that, the strong smell of food was overwhelming. The worst part was that my friend was served beer in a glass that contained fragments of glass. When we informed the manager, his reaction was completely unprofessional, showing no empathy or concern about the situation. Something this serious should have been handled with care, but it was dismissed as if it didn’t matter. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will never return. A horrible experience from start to finish. Jamás volveré a ir.
