Shawarma Mediterranean Grill Miami Reviews
If you’re looking for flavor, this place delivers every single time. The shawarma is incredibly juicy, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped in the softest, freshest pita. Every bite is packed with that authentic Middle Eastern taste you can’t fake. The ingredients taste super fresh, and the sauces especially the garlic sauce are unmatched. The staff is friendly, fast, and always make you feel welcome. You can tell they take real pride in their food. The owner Freddy is very friendly and caring towards his customers.
Overall simply the best. I absolutely love coming here the food is delicious and fresh always. We always try a new item from their menu, and it never fails always amazing.
Today was my mom's birthday, and I decided to take her to a nice Arabic restaurant. One of the things we truly appreciated was the excellent customer service, especially from Jennifer, who was both charismatic and professional. We had a wonderful time; the atmosphere was relaxing, and I highly recommend this place. The food had authentic Lebanese flavors and was delicious. If I could give it 10 stars, I would, but unfortunately, I can only give 5!
Amazing place, super nice the staff I recommend it 100%
Don’t be fooled by the small size of this restaurant. They actually serve a huge variety of great quality homemade food. Everything I tried here tasted fresh from salads to platters. Additionally, their kitchen is open and visible to customers. This shows that they have no problem showing what and how they prepare their food. Not to forget that they have a wide selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu. Last but not least, the staff are very polite, helpful, and provide excellent service. I definitely recommend Shawarma Mediterranean Grill to anyone who is looking for halal Mediterranean cuisine in Miami.
My daughter had seen a TikTok about Shawarma. She heard the work Habibi, but realized it was just love. We enjoyed the Chicken Shawarma wrap and mint lemonade. Both items were very good
Did NOT disappoint!!! The food was Phenomenal!! My kids 1st time eating Mediterranean food & they are picky eaters and they were VERY happy. We will definitely be back!
Friendly and fast service. Generous portions. Nice, clean restaurant with good music which isn’t blaring. The falafel wrap with the Mediterranean fries was a nice vegetarian change for a Friday dinner during Lent. Months later I came back. Still the same good food, prices, and service. This time I had the kafta kebab and falafel appetizer. The salad was very good.
Our next family food adventure take us to Shawarma Mediterranean cuisine with a category of 4.3 and more than 579 reviews, this kind of is ancient and even more so when you eat it in the right place, it is an exploration of colors and flavors on the palate in every bite . I recommend Shawarma Mediterranean Grill come and try.
Every time I order from here the food is so fresh. My boyfriend is constantly asking to eat from here or Uber Eats. But today, the food looks so good, very well prepared and smelled absolutely amazing that when I took a bite, I just had to make a review. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. It’s a lot healthier than other options too. Do yourself a favor and get a platter. You won’t regret it.
I like this place! It’s a nice spot to get a delicious meal and I really can’t complain. It’s a quick service spot, and the food comes out pretty fast. Staff is very friendly and very helpful! I got the beef shawarma platter, upgraded my side to a greek salad, kibbeh, and a piece of baklava. It was great! No frills, just good food.
AmaZing Mediterranean food. We got a kebab, a wrap and a mixed platter. Wifey lives the grape leaves. My wrap was on point and the cheese felt so fresh. Maybe the Babbaganoosh isn’t necessary in the platter. Definitely coming back.
If you are looking for a great food experience with authentic Mediterranean cuisine, this is the spot for you. The deserts ate equally exotic and delicious. Everything here tastes fresh and wonderful, staff is great as well. I highly suggest you come and eat here for a wonderful time, take it from me, LordGrubberz
Amazing food and service! I have been going there for years & it is ALWAYS AMAZING... highly recommended
Fresh food. Made while you wait. Service excellent. Clean and organized. Friendly and attentive staff.
This Restaurant have some of thee best dishes I was blown away with the quality foods and the taste was absolutely amazing I recommend every one to stop by this restaurant and try their food you will fall in love with them 5 star all the way.
You never disappoint. I absolutely love this place. Everytime I come into town, this is my go to place for food. Love it.
I come to Miami quite often for work, and I always look for a place to eat that makes me feel at home. I am cuban/arabic and as you might now there is plenty of cuban food in Miami lol but when I came across Shawarma and saw the pictures of the food online, I had to give it a try. Not only was the food just as good tasting as it looked in the pictures, but the service and warm welcoming were even better. The staff from the kitchen even interacted and thanked us for coming in and wished us safe travels back home. My husband and I still crave the delicious food. We live in Orlando and are considering driving 4 hours down south just to eat some amazing authentic Lebanese food!!!
The short review: EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT PRICES, AND TOP-NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! An absolute MUST when you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food that won't break the bank. Don't think, just go! The full review: I absolutely LOVE this place! Being Lebanese and not knowing how to cook the food myself, I can't really afford to go to the fine dining Lebanese restaurants unless someone else is footing the bill (I'm blunt, I know.. sorry!). But that's why I love Shawarma Mediterranean Grill!!! I can enjoy their Raw Kibbe to my heart's content without breaking the bank.. and when I want a hot dish, their Kafta Kabobs, Shrimp Kabobs, or Chicken Kabobs served with either their delicious Mujaddara or Angel Hair White Rice and a Salad are simply the perfect dishes. Their Falafel are great as well. OH! And their Fattoush Salad is killer with crispy pita chips on top! All of their food is SO GOOD! My typical meal there is a Raw Kibbe & Fattoush Salad (for the raw kibbe portion size, I would recommend an extra slice of pita bread and/or plenty of extra onions 😬). My mouth is watering just thinking about it all! THEIR ONLY FLAW: they are closed on Sundays 😭 (and today is Sunday... Why did I choose to write this review today?! Torture!) All joking aside, it's not a flaw. I just made myself hungry is all. 😋 Everyone deserves some rest and they all work so hard there and everyone is so nice whether you are at the actual restaurant or just calling in an order over the phone - they are all great! So I'll say it again.... Shawarma has EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT PRICES, AND TOP-NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE! An absolute MUST when you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food that won't break the bank. So, GO! NOW! (unless it's Sunday)😉
Best Mediterranean food in town, excellent customer service. Never disappoints. Food is prepared fresh for each order and the desserts are delicious too!!!
We went when Pig Floyd's food truck was there. Exceptional food. We had beers from Exit One. We enjoyed those as well. Fun, friendly.
This is Heaven !!!! Great Place !! I Love The Fact , they used Plastic , its a Great Idea , I know by Fact , no one has used before , the Food is just Fantastic , It remain me the time i spend on the Middle East , the Food Its SOOO Authentic , And The Service is just like Family , Beautiful People and Amaizing Place To be . Please do you a Favor and Dont Miss this Spot
Very nice place. You can see that Mediterranean atmosphere. When you bite that shawarma you can forget your problems for sometime
I've been coming here for years. It's consistent and always fresh. Great food 😋
I traverse from one end of Miami to this location because they are so amazing. Only place in town with chicken Kibbies! So tasty and definitely worth a try!
Excellent Delicious Fresh Food ! The family who runs this establishment are very friendly and welcoming ! The Kababs are all delicious my favorite is the shrimp kabab ! The tabouleh is awesome and the kibbe wraps are first class ! Good prices too !
We order 2 different mix plates and a mix wrap kebab. All was excellent. Also the tabouleh was perfect and fresh. Good balance of tomato, persil, etc... will come back!
Excellent good! Lots of flavors and great quality! Will definitely order again from this place.
The shawarma was so fresh and tasty!! I tried both the chicken and beef shawarma and they were delicious, specially if you add garlic sauce. Also I recommend the grape leaves they were super tasty and by far the best I have tried in Miami. The attention and service were super fast !!
Great change of pace with really good food at a reasonable price. Very busy take out! Treat yourself and try something new. Pleasantly surprised.
To be clear, this is my favorite local Mediterranean spot. It's very casual with good service and very tasty food. When I called, they were able to set up a table for 10 last minute. Everyone enjoyed their food, including: sharwarma, shrimp and chicken kebab, hummus, and more. The mujadara (rice) is excellent with lentils and fried onions, as is the Turkish coffee.
Simple, but great atmosphere inside the restaurant. We enjoyed chatting with the owner about culture and heritage. Something you rarely find in a franchised restaurant. Ordered food for a birthday party, and the whole family enjoyed the food.
I didn't catch his name, but the boy with the black earrings and vertical labret was so sweet, amazing customer service and great food!!
THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE LOYAL COSTUMER ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This food was very mediocre, i’ve been going here for years and it seems like the food quality gets worse and worse. The front service is the only thing that has kept me coming back, the young blonde man in the front never failed to put a smile on my face, amazing service.
Portions make the price! Ordered take out and I could not be more satisfied it was around $10 per plate but the portions were enough for 2 people. First time ordering from here I am a very happy customer. The meat is filled with flavor and not greasy at all. The veggies offered are also very fresh.
Love this place every time I go to Miami I have to stop there, food it’s delicious, fresh and very healthy my daughter was craving some “mom’s food” and I told her to get the lentils soup they make it like my mom🥹great food 💕😊🌸
My eyes were bigger than my stomach, meaning everything on the menu looked delicious, so I ordered a bit of each. I was not disappointed. After watching several videos about Lebanese cuisine on Youtube, I found this restaurant which seemed to have everything I was wanting to try. Wow! The flavor was spot on delectable. I also believe in supporting small businesses, and especially those of ethnic cuisine. It makes our community a more diverse and rich place to live. While this was just my first time here, I intend to return. First, we have to eat all of these leftovers! Please click “helpful” below
Oh honestly, food was great, oh but honestly, can not lye, the atendent, oh my God, she is gorgeous, the true,in my honest opinión with all do respect.
The food, the service, it’s amazing! I drove from Miami Gardens just to eat here again. PLEASE try the baklava and their shawarma!
Excellent food! Fresh and delicious!
Lebanese food, desserts, and Turkish coffee like no other. I've been eating at this Shawarma restaurant for over 10 years. Expect to find delicious food and respectful, friendly treatment all the time!
We love eating at this Shawarma, the vibe is super chill and it’s our little hidden gem for food. I order the Combo kabab trio which my husband and I shared with the fresh mint lemonade and we also got the kibbe nayeh and hands down it’s the best here! I highly recommend this location. Always a good experience
Amazing food! I loved everything we ordered and the service was fantastic!! I will be coming here often for lunch
Always reliable and good. Very friendly staff.
Amazing food and service. Jennifer was great. We came as a large party and they accommodated wonderfully. The shrimp was great. Will definitely be back! Thank you!
Good food and service! Very friendly staff and accommodating to our toddler; the hummus + meat appetizer was the perfect size for her.
All the food was delicious, I had hummus with the chicken kabob platter and my son had the shawarma chicken with the Mediterranean fries.
This restaurant was a great find. My girlfriend and I were in the mood for Mediterranean food. We just happened to stumble on this restaurant on Uber Eat and it did not disappoint! Their mint garlic sauce was the star of the show. So good! The hummus with the meat in the middle was also delicious. If you’re looking for a good Mediterranean style restaurant - I would recommend this place for sure. We will certainly be back!
Excellent food, very good service but the environment could be better
This place has great food and the girls were super nice!
Food is great and for a fair price. Service leaves a bit to be desired, but it's manageable. Place is clean and inviting but we usual just do take out.
Yummy food! I got the beef shawarma platter and everything was great. I only wish that they include some sauces because the meat, rice, and pita gets dry by themselves. But maybe you just have to ask for sauces and I didn't think to do that while there. Overall really liked it and feels healthy. Would be willing to go back again and will probably try their falafels and tabouleh (and other stuff) next time!
Small place but good food. The people were friendly and my family really enjoyed the options available. We would recommend these guys again.
Great food. Best humus. Impeccable kitchen. Not a fancy place. In fact, it is rather understated but the food and service make it a gem.
One of my favorite restaurants. Just feels expensive, for what the restaurant is. It would be nice, if staff would bring the food to the table, at least. Food is 5 stars, best Shawarma in Miami, I have tried.
Delicious but the pricepoint exceeded expectations. My partner ordered the trio, which was nearly 30 dollars. It was a lot of food and was really tasty, but had we realized the price on the plate when we chose it, we would have avoided it. I would expect 30$ from a plate at a nice steakhouse/seafood restaurant, not a small strip mall lunch spot.
The place is clean and the food is really good. It's fresh and light. My son had the burger which has great flavor and I had the Kibbe wrap which was the perfect size. We also shared a spicy cheese Labne that really could use two breads rather than one, but all around really good place to eat a light lunch. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Shawarma.
Food was delicious. Very few tables for dining in. Service was casual, order at the front, then food is brought to your table. Staff was efficient and friendly.
Very friendly staff, place very clean . The Menu have a lot of options. About food honestly was “OK”, We expected more for the prices . Fries not fresh, serve cold. Pita bread to hard, hummus was to cold, beef , rice and chicken was cold .
Great food! They are open Sundays by the way till 8:00 pm as of August 21, 2022. (The Hammocks branch as in the picture) Edits: I went again on August 23, and ordered Shawrma mix plate. It was not as good as expected. It does not taste as good as it looks.
I like supporting small businesses but the food wasn't that exciting. $20 for 2 chicken shawarmas that were not that great, nothing special. Very stingy with the garlic sauce. I gave this place a second chance and it disappointed again
Ordered 100 dollars worth of food for a birthday celebration for my grandmother who hasn't eaten Mediterranean food in over 7 years the food was excellent but the waitress and cook were staring and obviously talking bad about people not Knowing I can understand and speak it very rude to talk behind people's back
Its good a little pricey, and definitely care more about other people's postmates orders than the ones done in store. Been waiting for 20 min walked in right when they opened still haven't gotten my food yet. But postmates have. Not cool there's a reason why I haven't been here in some time. Remembering now why
I ordered the salad and it was served on a regular plastic throw away plate you buy at Walmart and the amount of "salad" served was really disappointing. It literally was just one layer of lettuce and a really small amount of chicken. Not worth the price.
Their food is great, the staff is friendly. This negative review is based on two things: 1. Two shawarma meals and two kibbes totaled out to almost $50. Also, bring cash unless you want pay their mandatory debit and credit card use fee of 3.8%.
For a Middle Eastern food this does not even come close. Good decent business but they can use some expertise on Middle Eastern food.
Aceptable aunque en realidad no conozco mucho de esta culinaria
I don’t know if they were having an off day or not but nothing really had flavor. We ordered beef shawarma with baba ganoush, rice, and salad. We additionally paid for tahini and garlic sauce. The tahini was watery and lacked flavor. The beef needed more seasoning. The baba ganoush was passable. Everything needed more acid and more salt. It was so mediocre that I ended up making my own everything this week… mine was better, and I’m a newbie! I will call and talk to Freddy, as the reply suggests. However, I don't appreciate being told that my food was not from them. I picked it up myself. I live down the street. What's that about???
This place is a joke. Funny how a Mediterranean place never knew lamb was a choice... 🤔 The food was tolerable at best. Best suggestion is avoid restaurants with the word 'authentic' or state what type of food they're supposedly serving. I guess if one has never had Mediterranean food, they wouldn't be the wiser...
I honestly wanted to rate this place higher I’ve ate here before the food is OK not Halal but what can I say. I went in and ordered a beef wrap and lentil soup and a falafel I asked the cashier in the front if I can get Mediterranean fries with a side of Shawarma and maybe he understood maybe he didn’t but he said OK.I get home unwrap all of the Styrofoam to go containers and start setting the table to eat and noticed that the Mediterranean fries weren’t there nor was the side of Shawarma, I only live five minutes away so I figured I’ll give them a call let them know about the mixup and I can run back and just have the situation handled. over the phone was a different person that had attended me when I was actually in the restaurant she was rude she didn’t want to hear what I had to say and she clearly just upfront told me she could not give me an order of Mediterranean fries with a side of just plain Shawarma they did not make this, this did not exist in the restaurant I even offered to pay extra and she could not do it, something about a button on the computer or tablet or whatever POS system could not put the actual Side order of Shawarma into my Styrofoam to go containers with Mediterranean fries therefore I couldn’t eat it LOL . This situation could’ve been handled differently by the girl over the phone or by even the person in the front they could have offered me something different for the mixup and I could have even paid for what I wanted , from my understanding with the cashier it could be done but instead I ended up getting just plain fries Thinking that my order was correct
Usually go to this place due it's close to my house. On my last two visits, I noticed that portions were smaller than before, takes forever and didn't worth it anymore quality of food vs price ratio. I rather to drive little bit more to Doral and go to El arabito or Babilonia. Ten times better and the portions are huge. Never again
Overpriced for mediocre food. There are upcharges for ordering anything other than chicken in an already overpriced "meat platter" that shows images of meat other than chicken (nope, it's not a family platter if that's what you're thinking). Total $34 for 1 dish, $55 for 2 dishes. This does not include the 3.8% upcharge for paying anything other than cash. Sides of babaganoush and hummus were only about 2 tablespoons each. The food for the most part lacked flavor. Only the hummus seemed to have flavor. The meats had very faint amount of seasoning. Stay away from the grape leaves unless you enjoy snacking on pet food. For these prices definitely would've been better off going to an actual resturant with real plates, utentils, atmosphere and flavor profile. Sadly, this place was a rip-off leaving much to be desired.
Ok food, ok flavor. Very pricey for what you get. Lack of service. Asked the woman at the register to double check if the order was complete, she said yes. Missing one item after pulling everything out at home. Called and was told “oh yes, I apologize”. They should have either send it over or given me a credit for the missing item. Neither option was offered. Lousy customer service.
Nothing to write home about. I had the Chicken kabobs and one of the pieces of chicken was hard as a rock. Apparently wasn't cooked right. There is no real service since you order your food, they call your number and you take your own food to the table, but yet they want a tip. I've had better Mediterranean food. Wouldn't recommend it.
Very mediocre. chicken is dry, rice not rlly tasty, they don't even have garlic sauce at a Middle Eastern restaurant with kababs? Also very lazy salad the tomatoes on it are literally sliced & only 2 pieces of tomatoes without cucumbers. It’s also overpriced.
Ordered falafel, it was terrible, I have eaten there many times before with good results, today was not good. The falafel were hard and over fried. Not going back.
Really heads up on uber drivers they gave bad reviews wen I was not late and construction is around customer was happy food was early on my end please ubber drivers becareful with late night picking up food there by the way I have kids to feed thank you God bless you messing with hard workers like that
The food was so bad. It was mostly a wrap filled w a bit of steak and chicken. The fries were burnt. The food was way better when the brother worked there. Not going again. Gave me stomach pain 😫
Ordered 2 falafel which came out warm but was very disappointed paid extra for more tahini sauce inside the wrap but was super dry, the falafel balls very over cooked and taste bitter and more white ends on lettuce so basically the food had no taste to itself
Maybe I just had bad luck and they're normally fantastic, but this was absolutely awful. Extremely dry meat, as if it had been cooked yesterday and microwaved twice. Gyro's were so bad that I'd take them off the menu. Even the tabouli salad was somehow stale. Pretty sure it gave my daughter indigestion. Grape leaves were the only highlight. I've gotten better meals from Mediterranean food trucks. Also, no pita included with the baba ghanoush? For shame.
The food is nothing like the menu pictures. The chicken portion is microscopic. You leave this place with a feeling you've been robbed because the money you paid doesn't represent the food you get. It is like the employees steal the portions, they eat them, and then give you the leftovers.
Staff was nice… BUT the french fries were cold and stale, the beef (shawarma & steak) was very very tough and dry. For the price it was not worth it at all. The pita bread was hard to chew. Felt like no effort was put in :(
Our family of four for the first I went to the list location with all order has different platter my kids order the shrimps when he got to the table they put everything in one place we did not know when my son was almost finish it and we went to last what happened with my daughters meal and they said that everything was in one place when we question it why was place in one place they told us and were accusing us for eating the food first and then asking them for another but in our receipt states that we ordered two and only received one. He then later states that we were supposed to say something about it. EXCUSE me we were waiting for my daughters meal and he has the audacity to say that. We left the restaurant immediately with our refund and my daughter not eating anything. Would not recommend coming here at all. Terrible dry, salty, and bland food top with terrible service .
The Baklava (6 of them) sucked, they were not good at all. Extremely oily, not sweet enough, not nutty enough, and of course not relatively fresh. Each was like $2. It was a huge disappointment and waste of time compared to what my family and I experienced years ago at the location in Doral, owned by Freddy. I would like to see the quality go back up. On a side note, that Vape Shop next door to Shaw just has people smoking and vaping right in front of the entrance to the restaurant. That is a nuisance and a huge turn off. I will not be returning, nor recommending it to anyone else like I had, at least not that location in Kendall.
Prices are so high for dried meat, burned smell rice, styrofoam plate and plastic fork, spoon and knife. My husband couldn’t cut his meat. Tomatoes lettuce and onion pieces in the salad were so big. What a terrible experience. If you’ll spend 40 dollars for 2 people, please find a better place.
Cold like refrigerator cold chicken kebab wrap. Over cooked dark brown fries.
I’ve been driving by your establishment since I moved to Florida and every time I’m in the area I want to stop in since I traveled to Michigan. A lot and I love the food so I said you know what maybe this is as good as Michigan however, the food took a long time other than the lady the young lady at the cashier. She was amazing. Maybe I’ll poach her from you. Great service friendly, the other three people had no sense of urgency. I paid $23 for the food I left without the food took forever and they had they only moved at one speed first time and only time again the young lady at the register tonight today is 16 February. She was awesome so I gave you high service because of her otherwise I would’ve given you zero stars and again I paid for the food and left it.
I always loved their food but tonight the food was awful .I HAD TO RETURNED no GOOD .
