Shula's Bar and Grill Miami Reviews
Pretty good overall. The service was good and my fried shrimp was tasty. Everything was expensive, but airports... am I right? The interface for ordering beer is wonky. I accidentally ordered a shot of tequila on the side, but hey, what was I supposed to do, not drink it?
I ordered the Shula BBQ Burger and added camaralized onions and mushrooms with the BBQ on the side. My drink was a blackberry margarita. The food and drink was excellent and the arrived in a timely fashion freshly cooked. The airport location was clean. It's not inexpensive, however you do get your money worth. Keep in mind resturants at the airport retail higher. I would definitely go back the next time I am at the Miami airport.
We went today and the server Wendy was really help-full choosing our food. We ordered two steak wraps and we love it, we always come here. And the manager Gretter was really help-full with the service too.
Honestly I've always been skeptical of airport food in general. Even a chain has a difficult time providing the same quality of service and food when located in an airport. This place has a friendly staff, prompt service, and really good burger. If you're flying though Miami and find yourself in terminal D, it's a great option for food.
This is the top notch place to go. Especially for date night. The food, the Service, the atmosphere. You can’t get any better than she is. They do a good job there.
One of my favorite places to go! servers were really nice and friendly. Food was amazing!! totally recommend going here , for just having breakfast or even dinner. place is really clean and well managed
Went there during superbowl because my flight was delayed. And it was obviously very busy. Got a bottle of wine and other people were upset because it took longer to get orders. But the place was packed they were understaffed but the bartender was cool and they did their best. Nothing bad to say, just don't be a horrible person under understandable circumstances. Because you only make the problem worse
Chimichurri Steak! That's all I really need to say. For lunch and dinner this is the spot. I always make sure to stop here for a real meal. Plenty of other places for beer burgers fries pizza hot dogs, but Shula's has a first class bar with great wines cocktails and chimichurri steak. I saw $14.98 Rib eye steaks at other places but that won't compare to chimichurri streak. I was distraught today because I couldn't find it. Took me 30 minutes, but finally found again. Also the staff has always been super kind and helpful and I don't often sit at the bar. But when I did once the bartenders are sharp and make sure your taken care of. There's already a picture of the chimichurri steak so I won't post one. Also I was in and out in 30 minutes just in time not to miss flight! Thank you Angela!
This a good place to go with friends and have good time i been here serval times it a lot of fun i highly recommend to go. They have lots of good food here you were very much enjoy it they have a very good wine list here too degrade atmosphere it's great service and great food and you never know who you might see around here celebrity wise athlete wise or whoever but it is very good very good you will very much enjoy it it's more of an upscale place for adults even though kids it's friendly for kids too it's more for adults
I ate dinner here recently and was pretty surprised. Not sure why, but I wasn’t expecting too much, just a regular grill with the usual suspects on the menu. I got that wrong. They have an awesome menu. They have several incredible apps a couple of which I tried --their sampler platter with blacked tenderloin tips, sweet chili chicken and crispy ravioli. The tenderloin tips were incredible, the chicken just delicious and the ravioli absolutely scrumptious. It came with several dips, BBQ, buffalo, sweet chili and another salsa which was fabulous. I also had their Caesar salad which was also delicious, fresh ingredients and great balance. I debated, for about three seconds, but ended up getting their Black Forest cake. Words can not describe how good that was, wow! It wasn’t listed on the menu, but chefs special is where you’ll find it. The service was absolutely fantastic. Drinks consistently filled, very attentive service and extremely polite, friendly and welcoming staff. The prices were quite reasonable and especially considering the quality of food and being an airport restaurant. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant including high tops, bar seating, small and large tables; it’s located in terminal D by Gate 17. Overall extremely impressed and would certainly come back. Highly recommend.
Standard "Sports Bar" feel. Friendly helpful staff. I have Celiac and the waitress was helpful in getting me safe food.
Great place for lunch while waiting for flights. Service is quick and easy with QR menus with the ability to pay the same way so you don't have to wait for a server. Food is always hot and fast too!
This bar restaurant is inside the Miami International Airport, in Terminal D, next to boarding gate D17 and in front of the Duty Free store. It is a quiet place to eat and have a drink. Este bar restaurante está dentro de el aeropuerto internacional de miami, en la terminal D, al lado de la puerta de embarque D17 y frente a la tienda de el Duty free, es un lugar tranquilo para comer y tomar algo.
The place was packed, but we found an open table and ordered right away from a table-specific QR code. Online menu was quick and customizable. Food was delicious. Staff were very helpful. Food came out pretty quick. Prices were outrageous. I mean like…once a year anniversary meal at a fancy restaurant prices.
As a local of Miami always enjoy the steak and happy hour selections
Not the best Airport food I ever had. The salad was slapped together and the steak on it was so rough and tough I had to hack it to death to slice it with the dull butter knife they gave me. Husband ordered drinks that took forever to come. 18% service charge was a bit much. $110 for a steak salad, 2 orders of chicken wings and 2 Long Island Ice Teas.
Well if you read my reviews I usually try to stay pretty positive. I had a Shula burger the only thing that was on there was barbecue sauce and bacon. It was a dollar extra for a salad I had to ask to be served. Now I never mind spending good money for a good food. With that being said the hamburger was dry and the hamburger bun was even dryer. I waited Shula’s in Chicago fantastic food this place really needs to step up its game.
Burger was good not great, fries were tasty but they were stingy with the amount per serving. After paying 30$ for a burger, I was expecting more flavor and more fries. I wouldn't buy another.
It was not clear the QR code on the table was for to go food. It doesn’t say anywhere on the table that it’s to go and we were to QR code before we self seated ourselves. Servers were the only good part of the experience
We stopped here while waiting for our flight home. I wish we'd kept walking to find something else. The salads were decent but not $70 for two salads and two drinks decent. They do, however, provide outlets at the tables along the walls. So that was helpful.
Worst $25 hamburger I ever had. Spent $79 for 2 burgers with fries, a Diet Coke and a water. Try somewhere else……
Arrived to Shula's after a failed attempt at Chili's down the way. Nice welcoming sign to seat yourself. Had a bit of a tiff being allowed to sit in proximity of the Football game on the TV. Was told the AC was being worked on and a section (where other people were sitting) was closed. Once I suggested my own table against the wall, I was permitted to sit there and have a peek-a-boo view of the TV. Ordered French Onion soup which was terrible and in a small bowl and the Cobb salad that was equally unsatisfying. Tiny portion, terrible bottled dressings, dry overcooked chicken, withered lettuce and sloppy/mushy shredded cheese. The croutons were the only bright spot. There is this weird "bar section" that has a wall and small tvs that is setup where your nose it up against the wall...the 18% service charge that goes somewhere is also a nice icing on the cake middle finger on the way out...
Got a Cobb salad here. Grilled chicken on it was tasty but lettuce underneath the mixed green was old to the point that I think the green leaves were removed from stem bacause it went bad. On top of that glass was not clean either. I complained and manager removed the salad from my bill even though I intended to pay.
The food was unfortunately terrible. Dry, tasteless and no sauces. The salad looked leftover from days past. You are given plastic silverware. No water was brought, even after asking twice. The servers are kind, but this is so overpriced you should not waste your money.
Food was over priced for the portion size and was lacking flavor. No real service at all in which they force 18 percent gratuity, when you are scanning a table basically placing your own order. My only interaction with a “waiter” was when I was leaving and they were accusing me for not paying. Glad I still had my conformation up otherwise I could have missed a flight. Go else where.
Tiny portions for way too much. That tiny Mahi-mahi is not worth $37.. even by airport standards
The burger was substandard for airport food. The three of us all had something on a bun, and the buns were all so old that they fell apart. The regular fries were ok. It was a very expensive not good burger. Music is overly loud.
Don Shula is rolling in his grave. Seriously awful restaurant experience. Can only order via a QR code in spite of the bartender standing in front of you - helpless. You order and then wait and wait while they sort through a dangling list of printed tickets. The food is poor frozen bar food quality and overpriced even for airport food. If you find yourself thinking about going in, consider the Island Bar a bit further down (D6). Actual human service and decent airport food. Shula's not so perfect season in this case.
There is no "service". Customers "sit themselves", go to online menu, order from that menu online, and pay online. The restaurant brought out food and took the plates away and charged 18% cservice charge" that a customer cannot edit/remove (imho, this should be disclosed to a customer before sitting). The receipt has a place for "tips" in case someone feels they want to add more. Food is average bar food, and expensive, no good kids options, the place seems cozy. Another place where it feels like the place is purely there for the money.
I had the most mid mushroom & Swiss burger of my life here. Mushrooms weren’t sautéed & there was no mayo/sauce on it. The servers hear you, but don’t listen. Had to get up 3 times & approach staff for mayo, when my friend finally went to get it herself they finally said they would bring it. Tbh just go somewhere cheaper & quicker this place really isn’t worth your time.
Airport dining is overpriced, to be sure, but the quality of food was somewhere around chain buffet quality. Ordered skirt steak medium rare with chimichurri, and no chimichurri arrived. I asked about this and the server (who was about as lovely as a person could be) said it was a marinade and not a garnish. Well, if you cook chimichurri, it burns and the steak was definitely flavored with the taste of burned herbs. Additionally, for a medium rare order, it was tragically overcooked as no pink was found. That can happen with skirt steak given how thin it is, but between the acrid flavor of burned oil/herbs and it being overcooked... Just not a good meal. The fried shrimp were the best item, but again, probably no better than ones you'd pull from a chafing dish at Golden Corral. I came for the Key Lime Pie (when in Miami, amirite?) and while it was not bad, it wasn't tart nor memorable in anyway. Overall - It is a place to sit in an airport and have overpriced food brought to you. The only positive is the server was as kind as can be... Almost to the point that she didn't deserve to work as hard as she did, polite as she was, toting food that mediocre or outright bad. There must be better options at MIA, and if a rival restaurant sees this, please rescue our server Yunia... Who saved the review from one star only with her kindness and effort.
This was by far the worst airport restaurant I have ever been to. The waiters don’t seem to know what to do, and were clueless of what food went to which table. The way they give the food is one of the worst systems I have seen. They first make the food, and put it by a little bar area. Then, the 3 waiters start to take the food and give it out to the tables very slowly. Most of the time they don’t even go to the right tables. Because of this system, we saw 2 couples unknowingly leave without paying. This is probably because of the frustration with their system. Another couple was waiting for their food for over 20 minutes and just got up and walked out. Airport food is supposed to be timely, after all, everyone has their flights to catch. I ordered a burger with fries. My burger was dry because there was no condiments exempt ketchup that they gave with the fries. The burger was any average burger, nothing special. Patty, cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce. I wouldn’t say it’s the best burger (or a good one) but it was edible. My fries were undercooked, and they didn’t even taste good. I also got barely any! The service there was terrible, we waited about 30 minutes after ordering. We even saw our food sitting on the bar. Nobody was giving it to us so we just decided to take it ourselves and one of the waiters got mad at us for doing it! Also, the waiters barely spoke any English!!
as previously mentioned, check what they charged you. Three of us sat at the tables, but three separate bills. I was the only one charged an 18% airport service fee, and when i tried to understand the inconsistency with a convo with my server, he became irritated and defensive. Why only me? I felt swindled. I did not fight it, had to make my flight, but be careful, don't let it happen to you.
The grilled chicken salad was okay. They add an 18% service charge and then give you suggested tips on a total that includes the service charge. I asked who got the service charge and the server said it goes to the airport. Huh? Other table service restaurants there do not add on that service charge. 🤷♀️
Way too costly for the amount and quality of the food. Sampler had some of the smallest wings (3) I have seen and the mushrooms of the Swiss burger were chewy and tough. 2 people was 70 bucks, with the forced service charge.
They charge an 18% “service fee” that is not announced anywhere until you have to pay the bill. Food was mediocre.
The food wasn't just bad it was that nobody was even paying attention to how you could order they wouldn't take your order you had to do it all on their app and it all came out wrong
Overpriced burger and fries while just drinking water at $26. Add on the 18% service charge and this was the most expensive meal on my Aruban vacation. The mushroom and swiss burger was well done when I asked for medium. The fries were regular not sea salt as requested. I've had better mushroom and swiss burgers from Hardee's and Carl's. I made a bad decision and should have ate somewhere else that would have been better and cheaper.
Food was fine. Nothing special. We went for lunch on a layover. I noticed an 18% service charge on the bill and questioned our server about this. He said this was an airport service fee and was not a “tip” or paid out to service staff, so I added another 20%. I decided to google this after and it turns out the 18% service fee is a gratuity. Wish I would have checked this out BEFORE paying. This was approximately 2pm on 1/20/26. Server was the bartender.
Ate here 10/3/2025 in the evening about 8-830. The main reason I didn't give one star reviews across the board was because of the woman server who was busting her rear to take care of everyone in the restaurant. She was paying attention to every table and staying on top of everyone very well considering the only other help was a bartender and a man who appeared to be a manager. The manager was worthless from what we experienced and saw. And the method of ordering online is great and dandy until you have a problem or three. The woman server fixed one problem for us- a dirty glass that my husband got with his energy drink he ordered. The manager brought out the wrong sandwich for my husband, and none of the sauces we requested with our order, and even gave me grief about asking for another ramekin of salad dressing when I had ordered extra to begin with, but we were charged for extra bbq sauce for my husband's incorrect sandwich that didn't have any sauce on it when it should have. We waited a bit to try to get his attention to adjust our bill to correct these mistakes, but he was no where to be found. We paid the full bill despite the errors, and I tipped the server extra in cash because she earned it in my eyes. Oh, and the bartender was very rude with a handful of people, telling them that an area of the restaurant was closed and they couldn't sit there, when it would have been easy enough to block off the area with chairs and a hand written sign rather than be rude- those folks left the restaurant instead of waiting for a table to become available... understandably. I won't eat here again when we are passing through Miami next. Too many other options in the airport to be overcharged for lackluster service and incorrect food. I just hope the servers are actually getting the 18% service charge that they automatically tack onto the bill without giving you an option to adjust it.
Menu listed Guinness can as $10.99. Reciept showed $13.99+$2+ service fee. I challenged this and an employee stated that must be the small can price; I stated there’s only one size of guiness cans. She got another guy, my bartender, who said oops. We forgot to change the menu. Sure yall did; you’re ripping people off, knowingly. Shady practices; avoid this bar. $17+ for a single pint before tip.
Dry overcooked fries, pan seared shrimp was labeled as “grilled shrimp” on menu, steak was tender but bland and under salted. Meal was $70 in total (18% service fee) but was far from worth the price. As you can see portion sizes for shrimp and asparagus are high way robbery. They also undercooked asparagus and left bottom of stalks on which are hard and stringy. Chefs need to be reprimanded for poor cooking quality
The worst food I have eaten in a long time. We chose it due to a long layover and it was early morning. Our breakfast was nasty! The bacon was stale! How can you mess up bacon? Potatoes were cold and dry and the eggs are bland. Waitress seems not to know the meaning of service and preferred to hang out at the bar. She didn't introduce herself. Would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. It was too expensive to be this bad. Stay away
WARNING! As with a lot of the other reviewers, I was also over charged (by $30). I ordered through the online platform. I’ve sent an email & will update this review if they get back to me. As soon as I sat down I was advised to order via the online platform, which I did, and never got an email receipt afterwards. I was looking over my travel expenses when I noticed. It’s awful that Shula’s regularly tries to scam their customers.
I don’t know where to begin. We walked in and was not greeted, rather we were instructed to scan the QR code to order and pay… okay, no problem. We ordered the classic breakfast with bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, and toast. You can’t mess that up right? Wrong. The food has absolutely no taste, the staff acted as if we were bothering them to ask for salt and pepper. And the overall experience was sub par at best. 10/10 would NOT recommend. You’ll have a better experience at Wendy’s
Unfortunately lots of bad - ordering platform didn’t work several times so my food came very slowly. The burger was gross and the mushrooms tasted very dirty, though the fries were decent. Nobody checked on me the entire time. Couldn’t eat the burger so an incredibly expensive plate of fries
The servers did not know what they were doing. The food was lukewarm. The ordering system worked half the time. We spent about $60 for a burger and a fish sandwich. I thought they would al least taste good and be warm. A complete DISSAPOINTMENT! Can I do zero stars?
I walked in and sat myself. After waiting several minutes, I got up and asked an employee for a menu. He directed me to the QR code posted on the table. I explained that the menu was very slow to load and I preferred a real menu. He said the menus are the old menus and said I could look at the menu at the host stand. I retorne to my table to deal with the online menu. When it finally opened, I could see that the reason no wait staff came to the table was because you have to order online. The prices are extremely high for a restaurant that doesn’t even have a server to take your order, so I decided to move on. Do yourself a favor and take a few extra steps to go to Ku-Va. Maybe if people stop patronizing these businesses that want to take your money for nothing, they will be replaced with quality restaurants. KU-Va greeted me upon arrival, promptly brought menus, took my order timely and the food came out quick…all this with a smile and friendly attitude (at a fraction of the price!)
Food was very bland except for a burnt taste on the steak. Order and pay through an app (which didn’t work properly, combining my order with other peoples orders). Overall a very bleak and dystopian experience. You’ll be better served at a post-apocalyptic fallout shelter. Cold, unpleasant, and expensive… like an out of network proctology appointment.
18% service charge for no service - Ordering and paying is done on your phone. Only service you get is a glass of water and your food dropped off. Wont see the waiter/waitress the rest of the meal. Also be ready to be asked about leaving an additional tip on top “if you want”… Food tastes fine but is overpriced compared to other restaurants Also appreciate the non plastic straws because we all love the turtles, but then single use plastic silverware? Disappointing.
Great place for expensive yet awful food. Fries were inedible. Scam asking you to tip on top on the already calculated 18% tip. I didn’t catch it. Paid $55 for a burger a beer and a soft drink. What an awful place.
Overpriced, underwhelming breakfasts. The "omelet" was a super thin, flat cooked egg over the filling. It was worth about $5, but they charged nearly $20. If their lunch or dinner is anything like their breakfast, you should avoid this place.
Awful food, awful service. We asked if we could order food, the waiter/ bartender said we could use the QR code or wait. We waited a long time to order. The coffee was old and when we asked to pay they said use the QR code, which is not an option. They didn't even bother to ask how the food was and when the bill came it included an 18% tip.... for what? This is the problem ppl feel like they no longer need to provide quality service because they get compensated regardless.
This place is the worst. I guess I should expect for the cesspool we call Miami. They make you use an app, that worked poorly. I ordered a burger, and you must select med well, we'll, or even more. I selected med well, but that I got was MORE DONE THAN WELL DONE! No moisture existed. $5 for a fountain Coke, which was horrible tasting. Service was rude & poor, and then they want a tip. This place is a disgusting pit, and is designed to fleece you of money
Placed a grab and good order. Had to go to the restaurant and discover they had not started the order even thought the system alerted them of the order. So because the order was not processed had to wait another 30 mins. Asked to speak to the manager she just blamed the system. Very unprofessional from management to staff
Stopped over at MIA and thought it would be a decent place for a bite. I WAS WRONG! Not only do you have to place your own order (food, drinks and all) via the QR code menu but the chicken was dry, beer glass was dirty, staff stands around chatting amongst themselves, and then, they charge you an 18% service fee!!! Not a tip, this is an additional charge. Total rip off. We didn't actually receive any notable service. When I said something, the manager offers us free cheesecake or a beer. Terrible experience. BTW, don't ask for a Veteran's discount, they don't offer them even on Veteran's Day.
My first ever one star rating, just because no stars was not an option. With the Shula name one expects greatness. Well folks don't be fooled. I paid $48 for a burger that was second rate and fries that were stale and a warm beer. Waited a good 30 minutes for the lukewarm food. Fact is, the beer and the food had similar temperatures. Could not send it back, the waitress was nowhere to be found. Horrible place, just horrible.
You had to pull up menu , order yourself , check yourself out then tip your sever 18 percent tip , calling it a service fee for doing nothing but dropping your food off ! no service! Food was tasty but cold ! No one to complain too . Long day at the airport, could have used a nice meal and service. Don’t recommend this place
We were sat down and immediately ordered our food via mobile. The drinks came quickly but the food took over 40 minutes… when we had a connecting flight to catch. Upon asking to cancel the order and get a refund, the waiter laughed it off and urged us to wait “5-10” more minutes because “we didn’t have to worry since they would call our names over the intercom before leaving without us”. Uhh, sorry but nobody wants to be in that position. To recommend that as an option/solution is preposterous. Then, after receiving the food, the sandwich had cheese and onions on it. Something we specified we could NOT have due to ALLERGIES. Overall, the worst airport dining experience and service either of us have EVER had.
Ordered an app never got it until after entrees arrived 45 minutes from ordering. Steak was supposed to have chimmi-churri they said is only marinated on it. Was supposed to be medium got extra well. We also ordered Miami wrap that was had a charge for cheese and was supposed to be blackened. Was not only seasoned not blackened and missing cheese. Slow and do not recommend going here
Very poor food quality. First burger attempt was burned, second wasn't much better. Mandatory service charge for QR code ordering app that doesn't work. 1 overworked server on the floor. Will not return to Shula's.
I am giving this restaurant a low review because I ate breakfast here on November 15th while waiting for my flight to Boston and ultimately got food poisoning. I ordered a breakfast omelette with bacon and shortly after finishing my food, I was constantly going to the bathroom including on the flight as well as back home in Boston. I tried calling multiple times to let them know and no one is answering the phone. Im am extremely disappointed and sick. The only good thing about my experience was the waiter was very nice other then that I would not recommend.
SO incredibly expensive for the tiniest little overcooked steak you can imagine. $8 for the most plain and basic itty bitty salad. Not good at all. Maybe a $12 steak, airport prices, but definitely nowhere near worth the $36 they charged. Probably not even 6oz. Super thin and very very well done. Fish was dry and also incredibly overpriced for the tiny piece with plain fries.
Honestly, I think the cook is trying to put this place out of business! The eggs were rubbery, the French Toast had globs of cinnamon on one side and nothing on the other and the cook, my goodness, the coffee tasted like a 50/50 mixture of coffee and water after it was brewed. You know the coffee is HORRIBLE when the server leaves and comes back with a cup of Starbucks. Staff was friendly and attentive but the food would not pass in a kindergarten cafeteria. Do better people, do better!
When I asked the bartender if the tip was included he replied “the 18% is for Miami airport” I asked again and again he replied the 18% is for the airport. Which is a lie it’s for the pool of bartenders he was just trying to get additional tip. Tips MUST be a earned not just be a part of the check. Bad bad worse
1 cheeseburger, 1 coke, and a side ceaser that was literally just a tiny flat layer of lettuce thar was half brown cost me $68. Food was barely ok.
18% Service Charge on top of ridiculous prices/service. 2 tables arrived after us walked out before we placed our order. >LOOK AROUND< Good luck getting anything without a cell phone. You will wait for a table.... to be cleaned. $80 for a chicken sandwhich, a burger, fries and a beer! I think Wendy's right down the hall is 1/5the the price with bigger burgers.... and menus.
Took 40 min to get two beers , definitely not worth coming here
EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! Waited 45 minutes for the food after ordering… barely finished eating before boarding. The asparagus was so tough I had to peel off the outer layer myself just to chew it, and the chicken breast was dry as cardboard. On top of that, ridiculously overpriced. They also slap on a mandatory 18% service charge, doesn’t deserve that much tip at all
Terrible food for a horrendous price. Adding cheese to a burger was $3.59. They make you order with a QR code on the table and still add an automatic and mandatory 18% gratuity. Avoid this place.
Would never go here. Wings looked like they had been sitting under heat all day. We had to send the fries back 3 times to get them hot. Glasses were dirty. They didn't offer anything as an apology. Didn't check on us during our meal. Absolutely trash place.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service we received during our visit. The treatment we experienced was unacceptable, and it felt as though our presence was disregarded. The server, a man of medium height with short dark hair, made us feel belittled. He displayed an attitude that suggested he did not understand spoken English, despite my proficiency as a Brazilian who has lived in the United States for years. His actions felt xenophobic, and the service was consistently rude and abrasive. Additionally, I found it unacceptable that the restaurant charges an 18% service fee, especially when the service was so poor. We were a group of three, but after experiencing his disrespectful behavior, one member chose to leave. The remaining two of us continued, but the server did not attend to our table as he did with other customers. He failed to greet us or inquire about our needs, and every interaction was met with a dismissive attitude. I strongly advise against this establishment. It is essential for the staff to be trained in customer service, especially in an international airport setting where many travelers may not be fluent in English. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and reviews their hiring and training practices.
Bad service. No free water at all. They refuse to give tap water. Have to buy a bottle of water for $5.50. It's mostly self service ordering and paying online but an 18% service charge / tip is automatically included. Food overpriced. Very slow service. They expected me to drink from the warm bottle if water on the table and took 15 min to get a glass with some ice.
I am writing this due to the experience I had yesterday. Their restaurant shows up on the MIA2GO site; which is the Miami Airport version of ordering from a restaurant through an app. Not all of the places allow you to do this. Those that don't, you can't. Or so I thought. I ordered a soup of the day and chicken Caesar salad. I paid through the app, got the text saying when to pick up my order, and the email showing my receipt. I walked back to the restaurant and nothing. I waited for 15min before I had to flag a bartender down who had seen me during that time; and when I asked if my order was ready I was told "did you order through the pad?" "No, I ordered through the Miami 2 Go airport app which shows your restaurant uses." He got his manager, who was short with me, "we don't use that app, you are going to have to take it up with your bank, we didn't get your order, nothing we can do about it". When I showed the email with the paid receipt, the text with the time and asked, "Why does the site have your restaurant as an option then? Okay, since it is a super quick set of items, if I use your system; can you put that through as a quick fire". She looked straight at me and told me "NO, I can't and won't do that. It will be 25min. It isn't my fault you used the app that we don't use." I replied with "Okay then, you are telling me that if I place a new order through your side of things and pay your restaurant directly, that you are not only are you not making my order, but if you did you wouldn't ask for it to be sped up because of the website mix-up which is not my fault". She told me they would make the order, but she wasn't going to speed it up at all. I walked away at that point, and now having to dispute the charge with my bank. This could have been handled so differently.
***************. ATTN ***. Important! *********** March 15th, 2025. 12:15 pm. Server name: Eddy. Service charge of 18% on the bill. The waiter said the service charge does not go to him, that it goes to the airport, so I left him an additional $15. After some quick research, I learned that our server LIED to me. The service charge is a tip. I don’t appreciate being lied too. Just awful!
Rude staff. We asked a question about food allergies and were dismissed without any type of answer, like we were bothering the waiter. Table are crammed together. It was insanely hot. We left without ordering. Do better. People with food allergies aren’t trying to be difficult. Maybe try being nice to customers especially for the insane prices you are charging.
So the prices here were outrageous. They are taking advantage of your hunger. The coconut rum and pineapple juice was good. But i ended up paying $112 for two very mediocre, dry hamburgers, two cocktails, and two overpriced "alkaline" bottles of water (the only kind they had at the time). I was starving after a late international flight so, silly me, I guess. Service was good. Avoid if you can!
Food was OK, kind of what you expected. My sibling got one of the burgers and they stacked 3 tomatoes randomly? The price was exorbitant as per airport/American pricing. They have those QR codes that you order and pay from. The reason for the 1 star review is that the payment somehow errored out so I paid again but the original transaction went though so I paid twice for our meal. Efforts to contact them by email haven't been responded to.
Me and a couple friends decided to dine in here before our flight and the service was horrible. Our food we ordered had been sitting under the light for a couple minutes before being served to us, the food was very blend and not what I exactly wanted. My friend’s French Toast entrée was served on a side place while everybody else got a regular entrée plate but the waitress stated it didn’t matter. We then was done with our meal because we didn’t like it and the waitress took over 30 mins just to give us the check. She never once checked on us to see if we needed anything. I nicely spoke to a manager about how I didn’t like the food and etc & he was careless, he said “Okay, is this your card? Are you paying on this card?”. Never again, just horrible.
I had a $32 voucher coupon through visa signature program which they didn’t honor because “their network was down”. Obviously complete BS excuse. Overpriced and average food. Do not eat there !
The crab cake appetizer was cold. I ordered a Chicken Caesar with extra shrimp and no croutons, but received a Chicken Caesar with no chicken, lukewarm shrimp and lots of croutons.
The oncoming bartender at 11:30 was so rude and nasty. He made me pay online and charged me an extra five dollars each drink. That was not even the service charge. Completely different price from the morning shift. When I spoke to him about it he was so rude and nasty about it. French onion soup sucked. he would not give me a receipt. He told me to pay online and even when my phone wasn’t working and I was about to be late for my flight he kept on pushing for me to do it on my phone. Which was totally different from my first experience with the morning BArtender. I can’t remember any of their names, but the first Bartender was so sweet. The second Bartender was so super rude. Once I get his name I will update my review. Do not eat Eat or drink here
Garbage service. I ordered online and it said go to pickup area. I got there and there wasn’t a pickup area, at least not obvious. There is an order here area though. I wanted to ask about the order and the guy at the front was talking to someone who just sat down, saw me, made eye contact, continued talking to that lady and then disappeared. So I just walked straight in stopped someone and asked where the pickup area was. She said she couldn’t help me and need to see my confirmation email. I showed her then she said the system is down so the order doesn’t show up. So they kept accepting orders knowing they couldn’t see them. Told me she can give me the soup immediately but she doesn’t have a container. And told me she can do the rest of the order in 15min. If I had 15min, I wouldn’t need to order online…so I asked for a refund. She then tells me she can’t. I’d have to call in. What a crock of crap. What they should have done was called in to tech support to shut down online ordering. Don’t come here if you want a good trip.
Avoid at all cost!!! The place is rundown, awful food and service is rude. Overall a bad choice. I only went there because it is part of my Dragon Pass loyalty network. When the bill comes you are forced to leave 18% mandatory service!!!
The worst ever!! The waitress Wendy is the worst!! Don’t have any education!! She said the visa company airport was not working and didn’t include the voucher meal. Don’t come to this place! It’s a scam! Also very bad food and lazy service!!
It’s a dive bar with prices of a quality restaurant. It’s also basically counter service except they charge you an 18% that you can’t remove. Not really sure how that works.
Miami has issues. This is the third restaurant I have been to since we arrived in Miami for the service has been absolutely horrendous and the food has been horrendous. Shulas was no different. Food was cold and mediocre and the staff was non-existent and obviously had no idea what they were doing or they just didn't care. Then when they bring the bill they automatically added an 18% service charge that went to the staff and then wanted me to also add a tip on top of that I don't think so. I would steer clear of this restaurant when you're in Miami airport $160 for four people to have breakfast is absolutely ridiculous
zero stars would be my rating if it were an option. we just left after getting our order which was incorrect to begin with and cut in half on two plates (we were not sharing this meal and didn’t request this). after getting some push back from the waitress and sending it back because it wasn’t the correct burger, the same two halves of a burger was placed in front of us again but with the addition of raw jalapeños. not only was the order still wrong, but we got the same food back instead of having the order redone entirely. pretty sure that’s a health code violation but what do I know. the waitress offered to add lettuce and tomato to what we had, but that’s still not an acceptable offer when that wasn’t remotely close to the burger description on the menu and for the price of 27ish bucks. I understand this is an airport location but it was an all around disappointing and frustrating experience.
