Soul Tavern Miami Reviews
The food was excellent! Had the catfish plate with yams and mac & cheese and added a biscuit to be extra greedy. I had a watermelon margarita which was also excellent. Pricey but that’s to be expected in Miami and at the airport lol. Will definitely be back whenever I’m in the Miami airport.
Look, I pretty much hate the Miami airport, but Jennifer took amazing care of us for the few hours we were stuck there. Food was great and her recommendations were spot on. Thanks for making our stay to pleasant.
Since I know I had 2 hours or more before my flight I sought out JSF prior to my flight home. (If you’re looking for it it’s right as you enter Terminal E just after CfA) I had the catfish sandwich and the only thing I would ask for is no onion. The sandwich was delicious it was a small portion of fish but for me it was just enough, the fries were delicious and my side of Mac n Cheese was great! I enjoyed this very much. The service was quick and impeccable!
The best food I’ve ever eaten in an airport. Jackson Soul Food has other locations in Miami, but this one at the airport is about a year old and it’s a hidden gem. It may be hard to miss as you enter the Concourse E gates, but it’s located right next to the Chick-fil-A. You can order food and non-alcoholic drinks to-go or you can dine in at the bar, which serves beer, wine, and cocktails (including their own signature cocktails). They have their own kitchen, and I ordered the fried catfish plate which comes with 2 sides and a cornbread. So delicious! Give it a try!

Man, who knew you could get such great food at the airport 🛫! Jennifer gives wonderful service.
Good entrees with soul food sides, catfish, greens and fried okra was good. Friendly service. Seating is only stools around a small bar but back side is a little more private. Breakfast until 10:30 am. Allowed breakfast or lunch around 10:30a.
The staff were all SO friendly!
Not sure how anyone could genuinely give this place a bad rating. They have amazing food, great service and a nice change from the typical airport food places. The food is worth every penny. Whenever I’m traveling to or from Miami International Airport, Jackson Family Soulfood is a must. The chicken is my favorite item on the menu. This is five star restaurant situated beside a busy Chick-fil-A and they continue to have high occupancy. I’m surprised that the price hasn’t risen considering inflation.
Good southern catfish breakfast. Friendly service. Great stop between flights.
Excellent food , fast service , best hostess Jennifer & Kirel!
10 out of 10!!! ....this restaurant doesn't miss. I ordered the fried catfish (well seasoned, just the right amount of crisp on the outside, and still moist on the inside), the yams (perfectly cooked, not too mushy and not overly sweet), collard greens (well seasoned) and the corn muffin was good with or w/o butter. I highly recommend this spot located in the MIA Airport Terminal E, you won't be disappointed.
Best food I’ve had in an airport in a long time. Lemon herb chicken was so tender and filled with flavor. And the choice of sides was amazing. And can’t beat the atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle.
REALLY good food! I had the lemon herb chicken with collards & fries & it was delish! My husband had the catfish sandwich & loved it. The food came super fast & our server/bartender was so nice!
Freshest breakfast... awesome eggs and hash browns. Drinks before flight.... perfect!
Awesome spot. Very clean. Staff is awesome. Service is great
When it comes to airport food, I doubt any of us are truly satisfied with quality or service. These guys are different. The bartender, Frank, and the other employees were on it. Catering to a busy influx of travelers and good food to boot. You could tell care and attention went into the food. Good ingredients and good taste. Bacon was actually crispy and not some wet soft flap. Although it’s tucked into a busy corner in the E terminal, don’t overlook it. Will be back if traveling through MIA again.

Decent breakfast options in this very small bar venue. Sit on a stool and get good service from a very attentive barkeep and very nice kitchen staff. Although never a fan of airport food (especially the prices), this place was convenient and alright.

They charge 18% service fee automatically, which is fine. What I thought was misleading is they continue to ask for tip, and you would have to opt out of giving additional tip, by going to 2 separate pages. With that said food was amazing, service was fast and efficient.
Surprisingly good for airport food. Catfish was cooked well, but the mac and cheese could have had more flavor.

Refused a substitution. Bad eggs. Nice bacon.
Sandwich was ok, but I paid $40 for a plain sandwich, water, and a couple French fries. Theres a 18% service fee for no service in fact they made me put down my sandwich to pay. Skip this. Super overpriced for what you get.
Black owned soul food restaurant in the Miami airport. Quan, my bartender, was very friendly and made my dining experience more pleasant. The restaurant ambiance is nice decorated with family photos. I ordered the catfish for dinner. The fish tasted like it was reheated in the microwave, the macaroni and cheese was not edible but the collard greens were good.
catfish and collard greens were great ! fried okra was ok service was fast but the server didnt check in, didnt ask if i liked the food, didnt really talk to me at all. good but not great would be 4/5 but an automatic 18% tip gets a -1 star from me. I would have tipped more than that anyways!

Try to atop somewhere else in the airport. That will be the last option.
Food is terrible. Go elsewhere.
I’m here waiting on flight and the plate wasn’t worth the money one small piece of catfish for $27 wasn’t worth it very disappointed
Asked for pork chops and they tasted old / undercooked. When I asked for a replacement protein, the man threw his hands up at me as if I was bothering him with my request. I’d never eat here again Other things to note: Macaroni and cheese was old and dry. Sweet potatoes were decent. Fried fish was good but they only give you one piece for $20+.
The breakfast sucks - I had bacon, eggs, hashbrowns. The scrambled eggs were disgusting, the hashbrowns were the worst hashbrowns I've ever had - they tasted like a mix of cardboard and freezer burn. I didn't even know hashbrowns could be that bad. Avoid avoid avoid.
