Steve's Pizza Miami Reviews
Awesome, gigantic, tasty slices of pizza! Pizza by the slice or whole pies. The restaurant is like a time capsule to the 70s or 80s in a great way… graffiti and stickers everywhere on the wood paneled walls. The pricing by the slice seems cheaper than it should be. Can’t wait to get back!
This place has been a go-to for years and still delivers that same old-school charm and flavor. The garlic bread is a must—perfectly toasted with just the right amount of buttery garlic goodness. And those slices? Huge. One slice is basically a meal, but good luck stopping at just one. Steve’s knows how to keep it classic: crispy thin crust, gooey cheese, and that signature sauce that hits every time. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why you fell in love with pizza in the first place. Definitely one of North Miami’s pizza gems.
Best Pizza and Italian food ever. I drove 2 hours to get food. Worth the drive. The food is amazing. I haven’t found any pizza that comes close. Just celebrated 50 years in business. That says it all.
my favorite pizza and love their triamisu & rolls ☝️☝️
It's true what they say, you've tried the rest and this is the best. Steve's pizza is a North Miami staple for the past 50 years and they only keep getting better and better. Delicious new York style pizza served until late night hours. Service is consistent with how busy they get. You can't expect everyone to be sweet 24/7 but you can count on quality pizza in every bite. Ambiance is casual yet fun rough for family time, date night or just a casual nite on the way home.
Love this place! The pizza is the best around!
Steve’s Pizza is a true Miami classic! 🍕 Celebrating over 50 years of serving legendary pies, this spot is still the go-to for locals who know where to find real, old-school pizza. The lines are still long—Friday, Saturday, Sunday… honestly, every day—and that just proves how much the community loves this place. The moment you take that first bite, you remember why: perfectly cheesy, deliciously saucy, and simply iconic. As someone who’s tried every new pizza place in town, I can say with confidence: Steve’s is the place to go for pizza in North Miami. 🎉 Kudos to the team for keeping a local tradition alive!
This is truly the best pizza spot in Miami. The ingredients are super fresh and the pizzas are always hot. My favorite is “Steve’s special”: I highly recommend. It’s usually full late night but totally worth the wait. Prices are reasonable. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and there is a small parking lot on the side. Pizza makers are awesome. Customer service at the cash register can improve. This is my go-to pizza place for the past several years as I haven’t been able to find a pizza that is better.
First time here the one bite of the pizza said alot of this place 50 years of great tradition
Got a little crowded but these guys were pumping out amazing pizzas left and right all night so it was understandable.
This is definitely one of the places that is a must go when it comes to pizza 🍕just so you know the slice is full of pepperoni as opposed to other places where you barely see few pieces. I walked there on Friday the 16th of October 2020 and it was raining and a lot people waiting for their order. Walked to the cashier “very pretty girl and so friendly” who told me that my slice will take less than 10 minutes and in 6 minutes my slice was ready. Great place and the slices are pretty big so one was good enough. Most definitely will recommend this place and will be back soon. Thanks again for your great customer service. 🙌 IG: @xclusiveentertainmentprod
The pizza is the boom, the food/ pizza is always consistent and on point Everytime you go. A most visit if you never did.
**Hands down, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! 🍕🔥** The crust was perfectly crispy, the cheese melted just right, and the toppings were super fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the quality in every bite. I ordered the **\[insert flavor here]**, and it was *chef’s kiss*. 👌 The service was friendly, delivery was quick, and everything arrived hot. Definitely my new favorite pizza place — can’t wait to order again! **Highly recommend if you’re a true pizza lover.
Great experience, great service, and great food? I went there for the chicken parm sub because I believed it would be great as it used. While I was there I ordered the thick Sicilian pizza and the regular thin slices as well. I must say I love the size of a large soda perfect.thank you for still having everything I need like parmesan cheese, garlic salt, hot chili flakes, salt pepper. Thank you for having paper towels on all the tables. even though I went there for the chicken parmesan sandwich, I must say the best of the night was the thin slice pizza with the pepperoni. I will definitely back for more ASAP!
Great quality historical family business. Better than every pizza chain restaurant, guaranteed.
A South Florida legend! Steve’s Pizza is and has always been ranked as a best in class pizza joint and I am so honored to have grown up coming here. Blockbuster and Steve’s Pizza always meant a great night! Thank you for the memories! #stevespizza #pizza #pasta #bestinflorida #northmiami #miami #florida
Steve's Pizza..... what can you say? Great food. chicken parm is to die for. sauce is always excellent. restaurant always has a line of people waiting to dine in or take out. And if a hurricane comes...good ole Steve's Pizza is the ONLY place open for business, with lines so long....you just shut your mouth and get in line, because you know it will be worth it. My family and I have been fans of Steve's Pizza for many, many years.
2024 Update oct/17 The only reason I am writing this review in English is because I want it to go directly to the management of the establishment and for the simple reason that I want to continue saying that I know where the best pizzas in Miami are sold. I still maintain the 5 stars because of the 100 times I bought or ordered from the place I never had any complaints, quite the opposite(excellent everything), but today, ufff, it's critical. -The pizza is completely burnt on the bottom(I forgot to take the photo because I threw it away right after checking that no piece was saved) -Additions such as ham and pineapple are completely out of position and grouped separately. -The pizza itself completely dry, a side effect of being overcooked. -The music was super loud like never before. -I remember one of the pizza makers who was always super nice with names, for example my name is Frank and he was like hey whats up Franky, all good? and that from the first day without knowing each other. It is very important to clarify that the team that was there was super friendly and nice with everyone, but they are missing that something that was previously present. This part is a little bit to much🤣 I know but it’s my experience.
We recently paid a visit to Steve's Pizza and were thrilled to find that it hasn't changed a bit from years ago. The taste, quality, and atmosphere were just as we remembered - simply superb. As always, their pizza was the star of the show. There's something truly special about their classic flavor that keeps you coming back for more. We also had a chance to try their Minestrone soup, a new addition to the menu as far as we could tell. It was a delightful surprise and added a comforting touch to our meal. Steve's Pizza continues to impress with their consistent quality and nostalgic charm. If you're in search of authentic, delicious pizza in a warm and welcoming setting, look no further.
Steve's pizza is a hidden jem in South Florida. Amazing thin crust, great hold, wonderful cheese to sauce ratio. (Sauces is on the sweet side) I didn't mind it at all. I think that is almost as close to a NYC slice that you can get in Miami! Please note that this place is busy! It is suggested to call and place your order ahead of time at least 45min. I went and didn't call ahead and was outside sitting waiting on my pie. Place is small, very homie. Staff is friendly and prompt. Their other items are also well worth looking at and ordering. The garlic knots are banging especially when dipped in their sweet tomato sauce. I ordered a XL Cheese pie, two pepperoni secilian slices, and large order of garlic knots. I would definitely recommend and go back to order the same without the secilian slices. And add the pepperoni to the normal pie! This pie is definitely a 8.4+ out of 10!! A place to visit and go back!
I want to share feedback from this place. You always want to come back here again and again. Tasty pizza 🍕 I have not tried. This is honest. I have traveled half the world. This is the most delicious pizza. (well, of course after mom). I always eat pizza with Italian sausage. Real jam. )))
Love Steves! Been eating here since 2004. However do NOT get delivered; your order will always be sub par (missing toppings/less pepperoni). Best to go inside.
Truly one of the best slices you'll find in South Florida. The place gets a bad wrap because of it's grungy decor but it's been a staple of Miami for years. Anytime I have friends or family from out of town come visit I bring them here and it's never disappointed. Be prepared to wait regardless if you call ahead for pick up and also willing to dish out some dough to eat theirs. The time and money will surely be worth the investment.
Steve’s pizza has been around for a while!! I don’t live in Miami no more but when I come to visit and want pizza I’ll come here and get some. They use very good cheese and make the pizza from scratch. Pizza and food is very good. Depending on what time you go it can be busy, but they are very well organized and move as fast as possible.
Was told about this joint 6 years ago. At that time I was visiting Miami, we ended up eating there several times. Hadn't been there since. Last week we had a day to kill in Miami, Steve's was on the list. SO glad to come back. Some of the best pizza we've every had. The run-down graffiti look of the place only adds to the ambiance. Try it, you won't be disappointed. There's something special in the sauce (sweet, but not overly) the crust is awesome too. Only thing I wish is that they had coke products in fountain, though they do have coke in cans.
Feb.21-26 I have been away from Miami for 8 years.. today I stopped by Steve's. The place has not changed..I ordered a steak, cheese and mushrooms hoagie to go.. I swear It was the best hoagie I have ever eaten.. Thank you, I will be back again and again!
I love Steve’s pizza!! If you know, you know! Their pizzas are fantastic and their team is so helpful! Whether it’s family night, the Super Bowl, or a large birthday party - Steve’s has you covered! We ordered 12 pizzas for a birthday party and each pizza was made perfectly! We called the day before the party to give the team a heads-up. Then we called the day-of (around noon) to give the team enough time to prepare. The party was around 6pm so we scheduled pick-up around 5:30pm. Timing and pick-up was perfect and the pizzas were ready to go! Whether it’s a slice or a full pie, Steve’s is the best! Atmosphere is casual and the food is delicious! 10/10 all around and we love their signature meatball topping! They also have vegan options!
Love the pizza, garlic rolls and so much more. The pizza sauce is sweet and really does taste good. Recommend any time of the night or day open late too.
This location is always popping no matter what time the restaurant is always full. The reason for that they serve one of the best or I think the best pizza in all of Miami I always go for the cheese slices and I’m good but tonight I’m gonna have a build your own with veggies, I recommend you bring the FAA people that don’t know they’re gonna love it straight up New York up in this house thank you Steve for always having fire pizza all year around
Steve's pizza was great, however the wait time was incredibly long. The place is very small with limited seating both indoor and outdoor. The place is incredibly popular so make sure you plan ahead. We were told about 30 minute wait time and it was almost an hour before getting our pizza. The pizza is good and the staff is friendly but I'm not sure if its worth the wait.
What can I say its always a favorite and never gets old! Ive been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids. I do miss the Pac-Man, Donkey Kong arcade game.
Whenever my fiancé and I visit Miami we always make time to go to Steve’s at least twice. It’s beloved by locals and tourists and although busy it’s never a hassle to get parking or a table. (At least it hasn’t been every year I’ve gone, but again, I’m a tourist. My fiancé is the Miami native.) Since people are generally only eating a slice or two they’re in and out the door. I recommend eating outside on the patio to take in that beautiful Miami weather and to people watch. What I love most about Steve’s is the sauce. I’m no culinary expert but it tastes like there’s sugar in it, which I love! (But that’s just a guess!) I always order their pepperoni pizza. It’s the perfect cheese to grease to pepperoni ratio. I love how loaded the toppings are. They don’t skimp on ingredients. I have a small appetite so one slice is good enough for me. I always grab a pack of matches as a memento. (Yep, I’m one of those!) I’ve never had a pizza in New York so take my advice with a grain of salt but many would agree that Steve’s is tasty! Give it a try. I don’t think you’ll regret it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steve’s Pizza is the best! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Their pizza crust is the ideal balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings are top quality every single time. The staff is friendly, quick, and makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re dining in or ordering out, you can always count on Steve’s Pizza for a delicious meal and great service. Highly recommended! 🍕👏
The closest Pizza you will get to NYC in Florida... that's why lines are always LONG but they move pretty Fast for a fresh pizza pie! Worth the price because its good...some people say Why sugar in the tomato sauce? But it gives tart tomatoes a nice kick ! I like it :)
Steve’s Pizza never disappoints. The pizza is always amazing, they’re super quick, and we love having it every time. Definitely our go-to spot for some bomb pizza.
I have been going to Steve's for many years because it's good pizza by the slice. Is it the best ever? No, not in my opinion. The sauce is a little sweet for my taste, but the crust is good. The other day I ordered a meatball & sausage sub cause I needed to soothe my soul and I was disappointed tbh. There was plenty of meat & sauce it just lacked salt & seasoning. I took most of it home and added spices to it at home to make it better. I definitely won't be ordering that again and will just stick to the slices.
Steve’s is an iconic Dade County dive. It doesn’t really matter how good or bad the food is because when you’re sloshed at 2 AM on a Friday night, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Luckily though, they do their pizza pretty damn well. Notably, the red sauce is a little sweet and the slices are gigantic. Expect mostly canned beers and only two local beers on tap. Apparently they have more than pizza, but I wouldn’t know. Note: The staff is nearly fully bilingual as well.
Pizza was okay. 40 min for a pie so we went with slices (5 minute wait). Cheese quality could be better but overall okay. We ate in and I think that was the problem. The place is hipster friendly with sticker’s and graffiti on their furniture dating back to the 2-live crew days.
I’m incredibly disappointed with Steve’s Pizza. I drove all the way there to pick up a plain xl pie, only to get home and find they’d given me a pepperoni pizza—despite my receipt clearly showing I ordered plain, and the receipt he had put on the pizza box. When I called to resolve this, they agreed that I ordered a plain pie but refused to refund me or deliver the correct pizza unless I drove back to return the wrong one. When I pushed back on this absurd policy, they hung up on me. Mistakes happen, but this level of poor customer service is unacceptable. I won’t be returning Update: I very much appreciated that the owner proactively had reached out to me and called me and told me he was sorry for the customer service. And worked with me. I am changing my review because of him. I believe his name was Jesse
Tried it last night and loved the place. The pizza was sooo good too. Want to come back and try other dishes like lasagna or a pasta 🔥 (4 stars because there was a very unpleasant smell, like if someone pooped and didn't flush, literally, so sometimes it was hard ignoring it)
We have driven past Steve's Pizza many times, and each time, it is packed with people, so we promised ourselves we would stop by there the next time. Today was it for lunch! Parking is right out front with wheelchair accessiblability. Easy walk to their door. It is a very small place with a high ceiling, so there was no feel of claustrophobia. Be ready to see written graffiti all over the walls and furniture. It reminded me of the 70s or some small pizza joint on a country road in Wyoming. But they are definitely big on tasty pizzas! We got there before the lunch crowd appeared and got a good booth. It was hot outside, so we stayed indoors where it was cool. We ordered a large half Hawaiian pizza and a half sausage & mushrooms. ($37) It was really good! Big slices, crust was perfect, fresh toppings, good marinara sauce. I see why there is always a crowd here. We want to thank Anthony for his helpfulness, friendliness, and great smile. You can tell he enjoys working there. In case you don't see it inside, the restroom is outside, like some gas stations. We didn't use it, so I can't report on it. We plan to back to try other menu items.
Best pizza I’ve had in Miami. I’m from NY so I am used to eating large juicy slices full of flavor. The is the closest thing to a NY slice of pizza here in Miami. The staff is very nice and friendly. They’re energetic and all seem happy to be working there so there’s a good vibe. There is zero pretense, the decor is also very village New York it’s just a bit small and feels a little crowded. There is usually a line so try order for pick up if you can. The restrooms are outside by the parking lot and you need a code to get in. There is sitting outside as well and it is covered. Parking is available but there’s limited spaces.
This is my favorite pizza place in all of Miami I have visited here way too many times I lost count. I am writing this because today 11/03/2025 around 7:10 pm, the pizza was disappointing. I never been disappointed by a pizza from here, I can't even process it yet as I type this. The dough was not well done like it needed a bit more time in the oven, the slice was soggy because the dough was not firm, felt like the pizza had way more sauce to cheese ratio. (After typing this, I saw more reviews stating the same issue with the pizza dough being served with the dough not being fully cooked. It is something simple that can be solved). Location wasn't even busy when I came in, this should not happen, please pay more attention to the quality, you guys are one of the few top notch independently owned business that are left in Soflo, keep taking pride in your work.
La pizza estaba buena, aunque un poquito más dorada de lo ideal al calentarla. El ambiente fue muy agradable y el personal, sumamente cordial.
Steve’s has been a great pizza place of mine for years. I’m not sure what’s going on with the delivery choices but this is the second time back to back that my pizza is ICE cold. Pizza delivery must have had 3-4 stops before mine. I wouldn’t generally complain about the delivery service except for the fact that I tried to reach out to them, Steves Pizza 1st via email and they didn’t think is was important enough to reply. I guess I won’t be getting delivery from you guys again, and that’s unfortunate.
Their margarita pizza in my opinion was ok not quite how I had imagined. I recently came back from California in which my best friend introduced me to this traditional Italian pizza also known as Neapolitan. They use tomato slices instead of tomato sauce, processed cheese instead of fresh mozzarella. So that was kind of a bummer. Price wise 25 bucks for it. Not the best.
I was told this pizza shop been around for 50 years and similar to NYC pizza.Im from Brooklyn NY myself so I decided to try it.I ordered a sicilian slice which I would rank 5.0 out of 10 Way too thick and dough was very dense. Zero crunch on crust.Sauce was way too sweet.I will not order a sicilian again. Also ordered a large cheese pie.I would rank the round slice a 6.5 out of 10 Sauce way too sweet,no real crust.Slice was super floppy when held.way too thin crust and zero crispy crust.I will not order it again. Way too much hype for a very below average pizza.I won't be back
I always eat a Steves Pizza and love it but this time I order one with Uber eats and a pizza was extremely overcooked. I don’t know what happened but it’s like eating a cracker. I imagine something have to happen because I always go there for 45 years.
Ordered a large cheese pizza and it was disappointing. The dough tasted underprepared and had a strong yeast smell. There was far too much tomato sauce and very little cheese, and the pizza wasn’t crispy at all. Overall, poor quality.
I ordered two large pizzas the veggie and steves special for family coming into town. I usually order pizza by the slice here, which is good. The large pizzas were soggy, could be due to the layers of topping, and the slices were not cut well, as we had to pull and tear to separate, causing a mess. Better to buy just slices here, and price for puchasing large pizzas not worth the value.
STEVES fell off!!!! Such a sad phenomenon for us locals in NMB , it was the classic go to spot - but now it’s just disappointment … the pizza just isn’t cheesy ( idk if they’re skimping on the cheese ) , it’s burnt bread with uncooked toppings
I hate leaving any sort of negative review for a local family business but this needs to be said. My last few experiences have been bad to say the least. Last time I ordered a pie the toppings were not even on 3 slices of the pizza. Even though I asked for the pizza to be well done it was under cooked and nearly raw in the middle. Also I was told 2 different prices over the phone for my order and then was charged even more when I went to pick it up. Then to top it off when I got there they said cash only as the system was down. I understand it happens but why not tell me to bring cash over the phone? The system had been down when I put the order in and when I mentioned why wouldn’t you tell me to bring cash they just said yes he probably should have told you. I live nearby so it’s just a matter of convenience to get the kids a pizza but when you’re spending almost $40 for a pizza it should at least be cooked all the way especially when you ask for it “well done”. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing but it’s happened again and again. At this point I’m over it, there are too many pizza spots around to keep going back. ✌️
This place has a great vibe. Despite the crowds that it tends to draw all the staff moves quickly and gets you fed. Unfortunately the pizza sauce was just too sweet. The crust was lacking a few things, flavor, good yeast activity and also was too thick. If you're looking for a place to go after a night at the bars this will definitely fill you up.
Steve’s has always be 50/50 with me . But I always give them the benefit of the doubt . I decided to try a small pizza with vegan cheese and it had such a tangy flavor to it which was displeasing and made it difficult to even eat the pizza . Whatever dairy free cheese that’s being used they need to switch it out for a different company because that is horrid . Not to mention the raw flour that was just sitting on my pizza
This used to be the best pizza. Not sure what happened here. Hardly any cheese on this slice. 3rd time in a row this I received either a dough or sauce pizza. Normally the cheese slides to the bottom, and you get a really cheesy saucy end, however there is so little cheese it tastes like a dough & sauce slice, it's noticed. Update: OMG! It's back to the best pizza! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sauce is a bit sweet, but thank you
Be Careful Steve’s Pizza you cannot live on being around a long time. The Pizza you are serving currently is no longer anywhere near being great . I ordered 5 large pies. 3 pepperoni 1 pepperoni with ricotta and the 5th meatball & ricotta. First of all the boxes are a large but the pizza is a medium (see pictures) The Ricotta look carefully you see a small smudge of white ( see pictures) on the pizza that’s the ricotta Remember when the pies at Steve’s were filled with Pepperoni not anymore. (See pictures) One of the pies you could tell had been sitting around then they threw on some pepperoni the cheese did not look fresh It’s very inconsistent and if you’ve been to Steve’s a few times there is no denying it’s heading towards being ‘just any other pizza place” status
This was 46$! This place has gone downhill since all the recent changes, I gave it another shot since the last time wasn’t great either but same story the quality is trash now. This order was medium pizza and ceaser salad. The half with the veggies was a soggy as can be, the other half with the pepperonis was hardly cooked. The ceaser salad was literally just lettuce & croutons and the dressing on the. The crust was just basic as can be hardly cooked.
Steves “used to be” .. now it is beyond words. I ordered 1 large pizza with 2 ingredients- the charge $31+ , 1 hour+ late, soggy, undercooked, tasteless- inedible - I had to through ½ of it away. The worst experience ever. The place lives of an old reputation.. I wish I read the reviews b4 ordering. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience
The pizza was soggy. The first time in my life I needed a fork. $17 for 2 slices ridiculous. 0 stars on the food. Much better places in Miami
My order was wrong, the pizza came burnt and hard. I called the place and the customer service was trash and denied to give a refund or get a new pizza in place of the damaged one. The manager said "only the inner half piece was burnt, so I can give you only a partial credit" - like it's my problem. Next time order from a delivery carrier like Uber eats that will back you up if there are any issues.
This Might Be the Worst Pizza I’ve Ever Had in My Life… I came to Steve’s Pizza out of pure desperation. It was late, everything else was closed, and I was starving. I figured, hey, pizza can’t go that wrong, right? Oh, how wrong I was. First red flag: the prices. They charge like they’re some fancy artisanal pizza joint in New York, $16 for a small La Blanca. They asked what topping I wanted, and I said sausage, assuming it would be one of several on a white pizza. Nope. The “La Blanca” comes with literally nothing but a weak smear of goat cheese. Adding sausage? Another $7. Ended up paying $23 for something that looked like it came out of a gas station microwave. At that point I thought: “Okay, maybe it’s good. Maybe the ingredients are premium. Maybe I’m about to have a pizza revelation”. Nope again. First bite, I actually paused in disbelief. I couldn’t taste anything. The crust was bland and stale, the cheese tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge since the Obama administration, and the sausage? I don’t even know what that was. No spice, no flavor — just rubbery chunks of regret. I forced down one slice because I was starving, then gave two slices to my friends to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind. We all looked at each other like we just got scammed. None of us touched the rest. Avoid this place like it’s cursed. I wouldn’t eat here again if it were free. I wouldn’t eat here again if they paid me. Total waste of money, appetite, and hope…
Honestly First & Last time I’m ever going here. For being the first time & not knowing how the place runs, I walked in & was waiting around to be seated but was just looked at by the cashiers without being told I have to order first & then seat myself. Not sure if this is being run by professionals or just a teen hang out as they were just talking in between each other without providing any service. When I finally ordered I was met with attitude as they are not polite. Very small spacing if you like to sit while hearing the people next to you chew into the pizza. Only good thing about this place was how quick the pizza came out, but the pizza itself is okay. If you like a place with shitty service and decent pizza, then this is definitely the place for you
The hype is not worth it. I was very disappointed after hearing it was the best pizza. The pizza is not that great. The pizza felt uncooked Costco pizza is way better. The staff is not friendly.
Virtues & Sins Review Steve’s Pizza — Biscayne Boulevard --- VIRTUE The Cashier’s Kindness The only redeeming quality of this visit was the cashier — a sweet, respectful lady who treated me with genuine professionalism. She had nothing to do with the food or the behavior of the kitchen staff, and she stood out as the one person who carried herself with dignity. Without her, this review wouldn’t even have one star. --- SINS Old, Reheated Pizza Fresh pies were coming out of the oven, yet I was handed a leftover slice that was dry, rubbery, stale, and simply nasty. This choice destroyed the trust and quality Steve’s Pizza was once known for. Disrespectful Kitchen Staff When I politely complained, the two men working the kitchen responded with hostility instead of service. Their body language, faces, and dismissive attitude made it clear they didn’t care about customers or the restaurant’s reputation. Mockery Over Service After I asked for a proper fresh slice, one of them deliberately served me a micro-slice, as if to mock me. That level of arrogance is unforgivable in hospitality. Loss of Legacy I’ve been loyal for over 25 years, proud to bring family and friends here. Today, the pride is gone. If you serve reheated scraps while fresh pizza is on display — and then mistreat loyal customers — you’ve lost your soul as a restaurant. --- FINAL NOTE Steve’s Pizza was once a neighborhood legend. Today, it is unrecognizable — a place where arrogance in the kitchen has replaced quality and care. For me, the legacy is over. One star.
ordered half and half pizza came burnt on edges and undercooked everywhere else, cheese unmelted and stuff and arrived in a mess. ordered a side of garlic rolls and they were completely burnt. called to ask about it and request help and they hung up the phone on me. I remember it used to be a good amazing place but idk what happened.
Went to Steve's for the first time and will be the only time. We waited an hour and a half for a large pizza and what received 1- shouldn't be considered a large and 2 well I'll let the picture speak for itself. I understand your busy but come on this is just a lazy worthless work ethic. Definitely not worth $20 something dollars. Also the girl behind the counter with reddish hair should not be the one dealing with customers. She had an attitude, was playing with the kitchen staff instead of giving out orders, was eating and taking selfies instead of taking a customers order... the list must go on. A refund would be the only solution to this experience! Only nice person worth the cash tip we left was the guy taking orders with the long hair! Thank you for being so friendly!
Never waited so long for my pizza, at least 30 people after me received their order. Then when I go ask when it will be ready they say 10-12 minutes. I go again, after 30 minutes. Then I see they just putting it in. I ordered to go. Why they bring me wings after 10 minutes of ordering, then make me wait 1.5 hrs for my pizza and bring home cold wings.
I’m so disappointed! We came here Thursday evening around 8 pm, ordered food for about 200$ and was waiting our food for about 1 hour 30 min !!!! We was asking many times, what about our food , because we seen that some people came after us and getting food faster and just got same answer:” it’s in the oven 🫣 Never come back! I know where to spend 200$ for the better service!
Pretty done with this place. We have had our Friday night family pizzas from Steve’s for over 25 years and within the last two years the quality just continues to consistently decline. Almost every other week the bottom of our pizzas is burned way past normalcy and tastes flat-out nasty, like your eating coal with some cheese. We are sure to mention everytime please to not burn our pizza, but that request is often ignored or forgotten. The fact we even have to mention that before each order is ridiculous. The cheese is always fine but that’s the only part you can eat anymore. Might as well put a couple cheese slices in a bowl and microwave it for the same quality of pizza. Covid was an excuse at first and on every time it was burned we would call back and they’d give us a refund or try to make it up, customer service is rarely a negative, but at a certain point you run out of patience - two years of calling back at least once a month will do that to you. Ownership must have changed because we were without issue for decades and now it’s completely reversed course to your sub-par lazy college 1-star pizza stop. The basics just flat-out neglected. There are multiple other pizza spots within 1 mile, no reason to stay loyal when you can’t do the bare minimum. Sad to see another Miami favorite lose its spark.
I traveled from New York for the holidays and wanted to try a local pizza spot—choosing Steve’s Pizza was a huge mistake. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and garlic rolls, but when my order arrived, it was completely wrong and unacceptable. I received a cold, sweet-tasting 🤮 small cheese pizza instead of pepperoni, and my garlic rolls were missing entirely. On top of that, the pizza tasted nothing like authentic pizza—especially disappointing coming from New York. When I called to complain, nothing was resolved. The supervisor brushed me off and told me to contact DoorDash, which makes absolutely no sense because DoorDash doesn’t prepare the food—Steve’s Pizza does. That response showed a total lack of accountability and customer service. No effort to fix the mistake, no apology, no replacement—nothing. This place clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. I will never order from here again. TRASH.
Recently bought a pizza because I have been hearing about this place for years. As a Vegan, I thought this was going to be a great experience as I was told that they can make their pizzas vegan. I placed my order for a Vegan which comes with vegan cheese and vegetables. Trusting in their process I picked up my pizza and when I got home, all they put was vegan cheese and sauce. When I called them to see if they would make it right, they offered nothing and just simply said “my bad”. This is unfortunate coming from the team at Steve’s pizza. You lost a customer.
İ went there to get large pizza the price on wall was around 20$ ı ordered large pizza and just regular things (mushroom, onion, tomato ,chiken ) on top and i end up payed 44 $!!! Just for pizza!! So what u write for 20 $ for what ı really dont get it is this for just for dough??? Thank u no more i can get that 44 $ best dinner where ever ı go!
Yep, same as the other reviews. Something happened with regards to management or ownership. 10 year customer this place was 5 stars, now a complete disaster. Orders being delivered with no quality, completely out of order or priority, and with no regard to wait times. 30 year customer next to me also said she won’t be back. Sad but better off ordering from Papa John’s or another chain because this “restaurant” is no longer worthy of customers.
The girl at the register is very rude to tourists who don’t speak English. There’s no reason to act superior when you’re simply working at a pizzeria. A little humility and kindness would go a long way. Also, their sign about ordering pizza by the slice is very confusing. Don’t go if you want to avoid a bad experience.
This was my first time here and unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. I ordered the baked ziti and the sauce was extremely sweet, almost like dessert. I politely let the waitress know, and she told me there was nothing she could do about it. I understand recipes can’t always be changed, but I was surprised there were no options offered—no replacement, no adjustment, nothing. I left disappointed and will probably not return. A little better customer service and willingness to help would have gone a long way.
