Sultan Restaurant Miami Reviews
Fantastic experience!!! Attention , food and drinks . Everything was super rich , the food arrived quickly and I was super rich . We would love to live in Miami and enjoy the food.
Delicious, authentic Mediterranean food. Nice small spot, decent prices.
Got to say, finding this joint in Miami was awesome. I ordered a takeout as my hotel was just next block. Their was some confusion regarding the order I placed when I reached and saw the bill bloated up, but it took no time to correct the mistake and I am enjoying this great food with my family right now. 5 stars for Cust Service and 6 stars for the food.
We stopped by late 11pm to grab a bite. I had a falafel wrap, which was absolutely delicious. We also had the gyro plate also very good. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. We ate outside on the street and were in and out quickly.
I had the vegetarian plate, turkish coffee and tea Memorial day weekend. Outside seating with cover if the weather turned inclement. Beautiful breeze. Fun to watch the people go by and enjoyed the authentic cuisine!
The food was great, service was on point and the atmosphere was great too, the food was worth the flight out here, ask for Alex he was great and was a big help trying to figure out what I wanted, I highly recommend here. This is definitely a place I’d stop for again
We were visiting Miami and had lunch at Sultan. It was a very nice place with delicious meditation food!
Old school casual Mediterranean restaurant that’s been here for a long time, great spot for take out or dining in. For take out orders it can often take around 20 minutes for an order to be ready but worth the wait considering that most orders are made to order and not just food sitting around, great people who run this place and has become a family tradition for so many tourists in this area.
This is such a pretty place, the food came quickly and was so good!
Amazing food and atmosphere, and the staff is so kind & welcoming!
A beautiful place, I love the attention of the waiters. The super-rich food, I recommend the chicken dish.
Very nice Mediterranean restaurant. You can sit inside or enjoy Miami breeze outside. Proportions are very good. I couldn't finish the meal and took out the rest. One meal can be easily split into two full meals. However, the restaurant is expensive. It's close to mid beach of Miami. Finding parking would be difficult, it's Miami, what can you expect! There are free shuttles that run between north and south beach. You can easily hop into one to get to Sultan restaurant. I preferred to walk from hotel. The attendants were really nice and cordial. Apparently many celebrities have been in this restaurant as seen from their photos. In your lucky day, you might run into someone!
We stopped a couple times. Food is great. It’s clean. Employees are friendly & helpful.
Great restaurant with great food! Very accommodating since we had already ordered but changed our minds and they made it work for us!! Great service, great staff! Me and my partner had a wonderful and delicious dinner. We will definitely be coming back when we are in Miami again. The baklava was the best dessert, the cherry on top to our dining experience. 10/10
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Sultan Grill in South Beach! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful Mediterranean ambiance. The food is authentic, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the lamb shawarma, falafel platter, and their house-made hummus — every bite was perfection. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable for the area, and the service is top-notch. Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or sitting down for a full meal, Sultan Grill delivers quality across the board. A true gem in South Beach — I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
Nice middle east gem in south beach. Loved the music and that they have a sitting area outside. I had a steak wrap. The portion was generous and the meat juicy and with lots of flavor. Prices reasonable considering the area. I'll come back.
We had a very nice meal. Thank you for your hospitality.
Service: Excelent. Everyone was kind and very helpful helping me decide what to order. Food: Ordered a Gyros Wrap which was very tasty. Very delicious meat and good portion size. Also, they gave me extra yogurt sauce when I asked :) Atmosphere: Everything was neat and clean. Fan kept the place fresh during the hot afternoon. Music was nice, setted the atmosphere and not too loud. Would definitly go back to try more dishes!
Delicious meal, fast and very friendly service. The place was fairly empty when we arrived at evening in the weekend, but they all had smiles on their faces when we walked in, and were immediately attentive and seated us promptly. If I lived in the area, I would eat here often. My wife & I really love the delicious cheese burger, Beef Gyro, and pizza. I highly recommend this place for you all. Thank you 😊
I love this restaurant the food is delicious 😋 and excellent attention and very good place and clean .
Me and wife went very late on Saturday and I can easily say that out of all the restaurants we went while we were in Miami Sultan was hands down the best! The food was really good and flavorful and it came in decent portions. The thing that really made our experience at Sultan was the service. I do not remember our servers name, but he was so attentive and friendly. 20/10 would recommend, we will definitely return if we ever visit Miami again!!!
The food is absolutely the best.Delicious food and amazing service! We are so happy to find this place. Everything we tried was incredibly tasty, and it truly felt like being back in our hometown.
Dogan the owner is amazing. I had a great time love the vibes and food the chef knows what’s up love how friendly he was. 10/10 recommend for anyone near by
I had a wonderful experience at Sultan. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and very authentic. The Mediterranean food was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and full of rich flavor. You can really tell that care and quality go into every dish. The portions were generous and everything we tried tasted amazing. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and beautifully set up, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. Overall, Sultan exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine. I’m already looking forward to coming back again!
Sultan is an excellent Mediterranean restaurant that truly stands out. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and well prepared, with each dish tasting authentic and satisfying. Everything was served hot and beautifully presented, and the portions were more than enough. What really made the experience special was the welcoming atmosphere and great service. The staff was polite, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without feeling rushed. The restaurant has a comfortable, inviting vibe that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal. Overall, Sultan is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for high-quality Mediterranean food and a pleasant dining experience. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon.
Excellent Mediterranean spot in Miami Beach. The food is consistently fresh and full of flavor. The gyro is hearty and well seasoned, the falafel is crispy and delicious, and the fish dishes are exceptionally fresh and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous and well balanced. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. aA great place for authentic Mediterranean food, whether dining in or grabbing a quick bite. Highly recommended.
My MUST GO place for Mediterranean food in Miami Beach. Everything here is delicious, fresh, and served pretty fast. They have the best Chardonnay currently (tastes like pears), and their falafel is the perfect amount of crunchy outside and delicious fluffy inside. Portions are decent, and the starters are shareable!! Also they just redecorated this place and got new tableware, furniture etc, SUPER CUTE vibes now! Oh, and outside seating and a late night menu for the clobber and bar hoppers who need a spot of something healthy to sustain them through the night.
Amazing food! I stopped by after a long day of walking and it was the perfect reward for a day of work!! The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing and made it an enjoyable spot to sit down and rest with my family. Considering the price of all the restaurants in the immediate vacinity, this was a great option to rely on and will do so again next time I’m in the area. 100% would highly recommend! I had a gyro wrap that was AMAZING and the hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had!
Increíble lugar, súper delicioso, limpio, buen servicio, muy amables, todo muy sabroso
La comida muy buena, ambiente bonito y precios accesibles. Buen servicio
It was pretty good considering all restaurants by the beach are very overpriced and you’re forced to pay tips even if the service is not good. Their service was pretty good the place is decent. I wish the bathrooms were nicer.
The food here is exceptional! I had a gyro wrap and some hummus by the end of dinner I was stuffed in the best way possible. It’s a small restaurant so they don’t have much staff. Service was a little slow but our server was very sweet. The outdoor seating area is a great place to dine and people watch pedestrians on the street. Would definitely eat here again. Be aware that the gratuity is included in the bill under “DINE IN”, they will ask for an additional tip, and that water here costs $3 for a bottle, no tap water.
Ordered some food to go, everything tasted really good. The steak and shrimp was probably the most disappointing, the steak was good but thin and the shrimp were just really small. Everything else was on point and tasted good. I do recommend this place but maybe skip on the steak and shrimp.
Overall quite good and very fast service. Very small restaurant but good outside seating. Owner Eran was very cordial and was watching everything. Waiter Santiago also very friendly and attentive. However, like other reviewers, I'm not happy with the automatic 20% tip most Miami restaurants are now adding including this one.
I loved the vegetarian plate. The salad and tabouli were delicious. I loved the fresh cucumber, falafel were good (but I prefer a tzatziki sauce with it), hummus portion was on the small side but tasted good, rice was plain boring white rice (I'm used to getting a Mediterranean style Dill rice with my vegetarian plate) I really enjoyed the Cigar Rolls which says they are phyllo dough stuffed with feta cheese and parsley. (There was no parsley in them but still were great) and lastly the stuffed grape leaves were decent. Not bad but not great. Overall 8.7/10 recommend.. I love that they offer pizza and other non-traditional Mediterranean bites for more "picky-eaters". I would try their gyros plate next time with a larger portion of salad and tabouli. Yum!
Read some reviews as I was staying close by. Had the vegetarian plate which was delicious. Small dining room with some tables outside too. Great spot to people watch on Collins Avenue. Hummus, dolmatas,, tabuli, salad, pita, and a lovely white bean salad. Can't wait to return. Many kabobs and giros for meat eaters too.
My food was brought to me pretty raw and I was not able to chew it , it was not even medium rare but they were very nice when I showed them how raw the meet was, they took my plate to cook my meet more. we paid $80 for two plates of shish kebob, kinda expensive for the food and location but nice staff.
A little local place located cross street to our hotel. The reason why we stopped by at the 1st place. Not fancy, regular little restaurant. Ordered 3 espresso coffees and one cappuccino and it was ok. They don’t provide any water, so if you need it, you have to pay for bottled one. Besides water, we ordered gyro wrap. Can’t say it was bad, can’t either say it was the best thing I ever ate. Average but decent. French fries included and it is good. The waitress was kind, but a little bit put a pressure on us to finish everything quickly. I understand it , but… couldn’t feel relaxed .
We were really unimpressed. We ordered gyro wraps, one with no onions and only one with fries. When the wraps came out both had fries and we couldn’t tell which had no onions. The waiter asked the chef and he said neither had onions. … several bites later … yep, onions in both. Asked for not sauce and the waiter put a bottle of chicken marinade. Huh?! Automatic 18% gratuity as well - pretty unexpected to have an automatic gratuity for two people! Not impressed.
We ordered a side of falafel and 2 kofte kabab. The falafel (3/5) came with small pita and a mini hummus. My only disappointment was that the bread was burnt. The kofte kabab (4/5) was very delicious. Came with hot sauce, rice, tzatziki sauce, some bread and average salad. The food was overly priced though. Tip added automatically
Late night food (4th meal if you will). The staff was somewhat not cohesive in the orders but overall okay. Not big in the automatic 20% tip on a counter order. **(Response to Owner)** no, you missed the point. I ordered my food at the counter, and then sat down. There was zero 'service.' Please do not misconstrue the word Service, with Taking.
This is a mediocre place to eat. Feels somewhat like I tourist trap. I arrived in Miami Beach and had some time to spare before I was able to check in to my hotel so I decided to get lunch. This place was close by and had alright reviews. I ordered the vegetarian platter with falafel. It sadly was one of the worst falafel I’ve ever tasted. Dry and bland. The hummus that came with it was also bland. The salad was nicely seasoned though and the service was somewhat friendly but seemed inexperienced. Not worth the 18% service fee that went on the bill
I don't understand why this place is a 4 star. The food is just reheated from frozen and way over priced. I paid $30 for two gyros...also they add a 15% gratuity onto everything which seems bizarrely greedy to me. I don't recommend going here there are definitely better value restaurants around.
Unfortunately the food was not tasty and meat was hard, I would recommend to the owner to put more effort on the recipe and the grill quality. Dolme and Kofte were alright but shish kebab, chicken and pizza not at all. Despite having a 4 star review, we gave this place a chance and considering the currency exchange, it was an expensive mistake. Also, If we had read the owner response to some"fake" reviews, we would have have not tried this place at all.
Food was tasteless and ordinary. The gyro meat was dry and hard. I can get better gyro bowls in my local fast food restaurant. EXPENSIVE TOO.
Would’ve rather had Mediterranean street food. Seafood combo was dry. Asked for salad and got rice. My plate was just okay. I ate it because I was hungry. Potatoes had flavor. Staff not very friendly. Not our cup of tea, won’t be back .
We sat outside on the sidewalk had a nice salad but not at all like the menu picture, it was smaller and had much less! As we were enjoying our beers the awning let go and I was totally covered with dirty water! I was wearing a white jacket and skirt! My husband had to argue with the owner to get anything comp’d! So took a couple of beers off bill! I walked home drenched and cold! The nice people we catted with were appalled that our dinner was not comp’d!!!! As we shared the salad, and had beers, not a pricey thing to offer! No good for our first time in Miami!
Stopped in for a couple of appetizers. Disappointed by the quality for the price. Falafel bites are $17 for five ok pieces of falafel. Possibly premade. That’s more than $3 per bite. We had excellent falafel at Zaytinya down the road for about the same price. Dolmas were $9 for four small pieces that I suspect came from a can. Food wasn’t bad and entrees may be more generous, but you are definitely paying for the location.
That was the bad dinner I had. The waitress was nice when I told her, I didn’t like the food and the restaurant was so cold. DON’T TRY IT FOOD HERE!!!!!!
Uses Store Bought Pizza So we got here and wanted the large pizza, he said he had none. Which was interesting as if he’s just making it fresh he should have the dough. But whatever after we ordered two small pizzas. And let me tell you tasked like cardboard but even worse. Later realized he didn’t have the large pizzas cause he was using store bought pizzas and just putting chicken on it. The water also tasted like something was put in it. We should’ve realized before when the restaurant was empty
This place has gotten cheap. They tried charging me more to dine in, ask for tip on take out orders, no ketchup with fries. I asked for hot sauce and they only give me one pack.
Beware of this restaurant. Its so dirty. The restaurant smelled of garbage and a dirty mop. Also, the waiter scammed me by charging me for a tip without my consent then lied said a tip was not added and charged me again for another tip. They use confusing tactics to steal money from you. Beware of this place
This is not an authentic Turkish restaurant—only the dish names on the menu are Turkish. I believe the owner is from South America, which is completely fine, but unfortunately, they don’t seem to understand what Turkish cuisine truly is or how the dishes should be prepared. The gyro was clearly microwaved and served without care and it wasn’t real doner. Despite having 1,800 reviews and a 4-star rating, I strongly encourage others to explore more authentic options elsewhere.
First time in my life that I literally despise a restaurant beyond imagination. Ownership lack of care reflects on the employees operating the business and on the food they serve. Employees were stretched... there was a girl running register, seating customers, taking orders, she was going insane while a sweaty old made was loading pizzas with pounds of cheese and a dash of tomato sauce, and another young guy ha doing every kitchen orderIt was sickening..... i was with my wife and 3 children I had to literally go help the girl get our drinks and everything else we required. I’m gonna stop because this isn’t worth my time - but Im warning everyone to keep away from uncooked chicken, nasty E.coli contaminated lettuce with dark spots. I don’t know who owns this place but deserves to be decommissioned as public danger. They literally serve JUNK to a point it really becomes garbage. I paid $96 for a couple sandwiches, kids pizza, and still went back to my hotel room with empty stomach. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER, AND ARE READING THIS, YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR STAFF, ESPECIALLY ON A 4Th of JULY WEEKEND, SO THEY CAN CARE FOR YOUR FOOD AND YOUR CUSTOMERS. IM ALSO GOING TO REPORT THIS TO THE HEALTH DEPT. SHAME ON YOU! I WONT BE FOOLED TWICE.
32$ for this!! AVOID! Avoid at all cost. I never ever ever leave reviews but this is so insulting to me that I had to. This is the worst (and I mean it) the worst kebab place I have ever been to…(considering that I’ve been to many and travelled a lot. What angers me the most is the waiter’s "this includes tip and everything"…worst place in Miami beach.
Food was decent , not the best. We went in and they didn’t really have anything. Basically anything I tried ordering they didn’t have. I did not like that they charge a dine in fee of 18% as well. I probably wouldn’t go back , I’d just grab pizza from next door.
A striking and well-located place, but the food is not very good. Be careful with the prices. They have a margarita promotion, but it is very misleading or they act as if it didn't exist and bring you the most expensive ones in case you don't notice. I don't recommend it. I felt cheated.
Terrible experience. The place might have a Turkish name, but there’s nothing Turkish about the food. Everything was bad — chicken, beef, and lamb all tasted awful and overcooked. We paid $120 for two people for just two dishes and no alcohol. The quality doesn’t come close to matching the price. I’d give it -10 stars if possible. Definitely not worth your time or money.
Only outdoor seating was available. The host/server/only person we saw was not very pleasant. Our group was literally the only customers. It took nearly twenty minutes just for him to take our order. Another 10+ minutes for some of our drinks to be delivered. More time passed before he came to tell us they were out of milk, then again that they were out of tea. They also were out of several menu items. The food was not great. Some of the food we received was not what had been ordered. The prices were somewhat high, especially when we didn’t really care for anything we ordered and received. I would NOT recommend this place.
One star only because I can’t give less. This place is a complete rip-off. The décor is very cute and really makes you want to stop and eat there — and that’s exactly how they trap you. First disappointment: when we asked for drinks listed on the menu, they told us they didn’t have any of them. Almost nothing was available. Then the food arrived… wow, but not in a good way. The menu shows beautiful, generous bowls with photos. What we got had absolutely NOTHING to do with the pictures. For $22 + an automatic 20% tip, we received about four spoonfuls of rice, a bit of salad, and three falafels. That’s it. The photos promised a full, hearty bowl — reality was a sad, tiny portion. This feels misleading and dishonest. A real tourist trap. Avoid at all costs
I am giving 1 star because I can't give a zero.Visited Sultan in Miami and had one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in years. We ordered hummus with pita, a chicken bowl, and a falafel bowl. First waiter said they don’t have a falafel bowl but do have a falafel wrap, so clearly they have falafel. Then a female waitress came and said they don’t have falafel at all, spoke to us condescendingly, and acted like we were the confused ones. Since my friend is vegetarian, we decided to cancel both mains. We clearly told them twice to cancel the chicken bowl and both servers acknowledged it. Then the same waitress returned acting like we never said that, asking, “Did you tell me?” while she was literally the only female waitress there. They acted as if we are lying. While we were still eating our hummus and pita, they even asked us to move tables. Normally that might be whatever, but with everything else, it just showed complete lack of respect for customers and added to the frustration. We paid for the appetizer and left. Staff were rude, dismissive, and couldn’t get their stories straight. Easily the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time, and it clearly matches what other reviews say about this place.
I really wanted to like this place, but the food was honestly disappointing. It feels more like ready-made meals that are just reheated rather than freshly cooked Turkish dishes. The flavors were flat, portions were small, and the overall quality didn’t reflect authentic Turkish cuisine at all. To be fair, the staff were kind and welcoming, but unfortunately that’s the only good part of my experience. For the price, I expected something homemade and flavorful — not this. Really bad for anyone craving real Turkish food, not Turkish quality at all.
Visited this place with a friend, and the experience was unfortunately disappointing. After our order was taken, we were told the falafel bowl was unavailable and were offered a falafel burrito instead. We agreed, but shortly after, another server informed us that there was no falafel at all. Since we wanted a vegetarian dish and there were no other suitable options, we canceled our entrées. While we were still eating our appetizer, we were asked to switch tables. This was done in a way that felt more like a directive than a request, was as rude and disrespectful. We didn’t argue and moved tables. After moving, the staff came back again to ask what we had ordered, and it seemed like they were unaware that our entrées had already been canceled. Overall, the communication was very disorganized and poorly handled. We paid for the appetizer and left.
