The food here is always fresh and full of flavor. I’ve been several times, and it never disappoints. Today I had the mahi in a white wine and caper sauce—absolutely excellent. I skipped the mashed potatoes and substituted fresh pasta, which was a great choice. The server was on point and made the experience even better.
While in Wynwood we were in a mood for some calamari we found this cozy little Italian place. The host took care of us immediately. We ordered the calamari and a bottle of wine. I must say this is the best calamari in 10 years that I’ve have eaten at Italian restaurants the marinara sauce had a slight kick which btw don’t like nothing spicy but was amazing I love the atmosphere and service was wonderful.
Was walking around with my family and we wanted pasta for dinner so I googled places around the area and found so many places but luckily we chose this hidden gem! The place looks like a house and is very cozy in the inside and the atmosphere was perfect, we were greeted and taken care of from beginning to end. It is so hard to find good restaurants now a days in this oversaturated city and most of these places are expensive for nothing. This place had amazing portions and the flavors were all tasty in every dish we ordered. I finally found a pasta spot that’s not only is delicious but the prices are very reasonable for how amazing this place is! I highly recommend you give this place a try! Btw I ordered the spaghetti with clams and zucchini:)
Our server was so fantastic, I should have asked his name. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive and even brought out Off when he saw we were getting bitten. The food was delicious and very well presented. If you’ve not been it’s a gem, it’ll become one of your favorites! PS: I leaned too hard on the table while getting up to leave and all the glasses went crashing down, my husband picked up all the large pieces but our server was so calm and made me feel better about being an absolute klutz! Thank you to him!
Nice neighborhood place with an expansive outdoor patio perfect for evening dinning. Moderately priced menu- is very affordable. Had the eggplant Parm app with pene pasta and pizza with spicy salami. Pizza was big enough for lunch the next day. House salad is large enough to be shared. Very attentive waitress.
Great place. The staff were so nice and attentive to my family and me . I requested garlic sauce instead of the spicy sauce on my Black pasta with crab meat and they were very accommodating. It was delicious. We will all definitely go back
This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in Miami😍 I love how they treat me, the staff is super friendly, a good atmosphere and the food is exquisite. Every time I can, I pass by this restaurant, I love it!
I haven't been here in toooo long. It is as good as it's even been . The veal Milanese was perfect, service fantastic, and all in a non pretentious environment that is so comfortable. Great for the folks with the pups. Outside area is big and the dog water bowls are plentiful. Thanks !
Had a very good time here. Better and less expensive than the nearby Amor di Pasta. Having said that, I think there are a few things to improve, for instance the spaghetti carbonara I had was a little salty, yet very tasty. Also had a Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad, which in my opinion was excellent. Service was also very good and waiter suggested nice options according to our needs. Definitely going back.
Truly enjoyed my visit to Sylvano, the food was tasteful and well presented. Well priced and curated wine list. Friendly and attentive service from everyone at the restaurant. Looking forward to my next visit.
Was a little hesitant before coming here because I was looking for a good and authentic Italian eatery not too far from the InterContinental Miami where I was staying at and the downtown Miami area is saturated with highly rated Italian restaurants. My dinner turned out very well. I ordered the Vongole pasta and it was done just the way it should be. It took under 10 mins for the dish to be whipped up and I was served with a nice bread basket variety. You can tell that they pay attention to detail because despite it not being a fine dining establishment, the bread was toasted lightly and it was served warm. A nice touch indeed. The clams in the pasta was very fresh. Will definitely be back again.
I went out of the American Airlines Arena and was looking for a place to eat and have some drinks. Everything in the area was closed except this beautiful Italian restaurant. The service was espectacular and the food exquisite. We always had the waiter, runners and personnel around cleaning and serving us. Highly recommended. 🥂🍾
Friendly staff, nice meal - my husband is obsessed with their lasagna. Place is also really cute. I had the four cheese gnocchi - I really loved it.
Super nice staff! Very good service. The people that work here are very nice. The food is amazing.. Pasta, pizza, salad, is so good! Jovane is super nice. Jana is also super nice! Owner is super nice!
Finally after many years going to the Miami Beach restaurant I was able to visit the Edgewater one. Very good service, charming staff, hands on owner, very positive experience! Pasta dishes were the highlights, very generous portions
Went for lunch today with my girlfriend. First time for either of us and we were pleasantly surprised with ALL of the food we ordered as well as the amazing lunchtime staff. Thank you so much Giovanni!! We will be back. 😀
The experience was very nice, the outside seating looked very nice, went well with the meal i had with my s/o! the price of the food wasnt too bad, and the waiter was very hospital! i would definitely recommend as the food was pretty good too!
The best kept secret in Edgewater! This place should be packed every night. Delicious food and great service make this my first choice for Italian food in the area. Try the with gorgonzola sauce and the black pasta with crab meat.
Best Italian food I’ve ever had. Came from out of town and they really helped us a lot with the menu and gave us impeccable service! Will be my go to restaurant every time I visit.
Great service, very fast and attentive, delicious food. Truffle ravioli and the spaghetti were my favorites, from my understanding the pasta is made in house. Cozy little spot and not expensive.
Sylvano’s is such a great addition to the Edgewater-Wynwood area. The ambiance and quality of the food is good and consistent, just as their Miami Beach location. The employees are pleasant and attentive, especially the manager and the servers. Looking forward to my next visit!
Authentic Italian food, excellent service. We love this nice, and friendly place!
Chill vibes and amazing food!! Must try their pesto gnocchi and pizza bianca! The outdoors are nicely lit and the service is super quick. The whole staff is super friendly and our server tanya was the best!!! Highly recommended:)
One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The staff is amazing and the food is soooo good 😊 the outside area is beautiful and when raining inside is very cozy. Such a great place!
Great place, great food and service, the owner Silvano) is a very nice person and always take care his customers and his employees are great as well! The price it’s very low for the quality and service! Highly recommend
Here for the Miami boat show and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Definitely a place to check out for good food and company!
Cute little hole in the wall. They have a nice menu with impressive cocktails. I’m in the city but reminds me of a European cafe. Love!
Blown away!! Jana was incredible!! The food was tasty and very well portioned, the panna cotta was unbelievably amazing❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for the great service, we will be back!
If you have not tried Sylvano’s food esp eggplant parmasian.. you didn’t live! Sylvano is Miami’s legendary restaurant pro!! His kitchen is top notch!
Excellent food, amazing staff, welcoming environment. Priced very fairly. Love this place....I eat here once a week. It's great.
Awesome Local spot. Great bar pies and some of the best Carpaccio in Miami. Especially the Octopus. No one does it like this. Best staff in Miami!
Classy, quiet. Ready for a romantic dinner. Feel Ike home when it is a call for attention and service. Food is delicious. Promise pictures soon. I'll go back for sure.!!!!
This place is awesome! Server Jana was awesome and extremely attentive, I highly recommend her. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it came out quick and crispy. The marinara sauce is perfection. I had pene pasta with Marinara and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My mom had branzino and again it was cooked to perfection. The two sides of roasted potato and Cali flour were also amazing. Will definitely be coming back to this amazing Italian restaurant.
It was a nice surprise! We saw a beautiful ambiance and decided to stop. Amazing service and amazing food. Super fair price. Glass of wine for $9, good wine. Had an amazing Capriciosa pizza and the special of the day, Lamb ravioli with truffle oil. DELICIOUS!!
Miss their Beach location but still love this location!
What a great restaurant! All the food from the appetizers, raw dishes, incredible pasta to the dessert and wines put us in food heaven. The staff was warm and welcoming and we couldn't recommend Sylvano more. We will definitely be back next time we are in Miami.
Sylvano and his ace Italian team of winners are exceptional! The food is fresh, clean and spot on yummy. The crowd Is fun and friendly. It feels like family to us. Big fans, Todd & Aura Molgat.
This place is low key and great, prices and food are amazing! Great for a chill meal!
This place is perfect! Fresh hand made pasta, great specials everyday of the week, happy hour deals, and outstanding service! I’m so happy I came across this little gem
Sylvano Miami is a gem and a must visit authentic Italian bistro. service, wine selection, pasta and pizza delights, desserts are all so good and are portioned very pleasing. you might even get a chance to meet Sylvano himself!! wynwood/edgewater area, street parking, full bar and great Ricotta Cheesecake!
My favourite restaurant is Sylvano, which is tucked away in the middle of Miami. You can have a culinary adventure that will take you right to the heart of Italy at this charming restaurant. We were welcomed by a warm atmosphere when we arrived that expertly melded vintage charm with a dash of contemporary refinement. Isabella, our waitress, added a lot to the experience with her attentive attention and practical advice all night long. Let's now discuss the Carpaccio. Everything about it was a masterpiece. The Carpaccio was a wonderful symphony of tastes and textures, thinly sliced, supple, and garnished with a drizzle of fine olive oil and a sprinkle of Parmesan. I couldn't help but savour each bite because each one was a revelation.
Sylvano in Miami is an absolute gem for Italian food lovers. Their menu is a symphony of traditional flavors, expertly crafted with a modern twist. From the first bite, you'll be transported to the streets of Italy. The homemade pasta dishes are divine, and their wood-fired pizzas are a true delight. The attentive service and charming atmosphere make for an unforgettable dining experience. Sylvano's commitment to quality and passion for authentic Italian cuisine shine through in every dish. A must-visit for any food enthusiast in Miami!
Great menu and service sadly we visited this restaurant at the end of our stay otherwise we would have been back! Edited… we did come back on our way to the airport! Still amazing. If you come to Miami you need to visit here
A staff favorite, this neighborhood bar and eatery is truly where the locals hang out. A different specials menu every night, plus a solid menu with a wide array of classic Italian choices makes this a place that Wynwood and Edgewater peeps will literally haunt every night of the week. If you want to be a "Norm" - this can be your "Cheers"!
Nice place. Down to earth. Earthy cooking. I gave 5 stars because the combination of portion, quality, good service and reasonable price is a rarity in Miami. This place has it all. The Chef even tours the restaurant to make sure all is perfect. The zuppa de mussels was perfect. The gnocchi with salmon, spinach and saffron sauce was delightful and plentiful. The lasagna were ok. Not the best I ever had but satisfying. This was our second time and not the last. Perfect neighborhood restaurant.
Since moving nearby, it's my most common restaurant/bar to go to. I feel relaxed and the food/drinks are always on point. Staff has nearly zero turnover so you see the same staff there every time. The specials are nice to mix up the menu, there is usually a soup, appetizer, few mains, and it changes pretty often so there is almost always something new. They typically have a table open so we dont have to make a reservation, but I have seen it extra packed on the weekend, so just plan ahead. Overall, this is my spot to relax, eat some food and drink a bottle of wine. Tuna tartare and shrimp risotto is my goto, the Sylvanos drink is great too.
During our time in Miami we lived round the corner and regularly frequented Sylvano’s. A proper Italian restaurant where you have a nice relaxed smart-casual restaurant as well as a bar where customers who may have come alone can talk to other punters. There is also a quant outside seating area with fairy lights. Great food and drinks and all for a reasonable price. The staff are all great especially the bar lady/manager who is incredibly hardworking. Highly recommend!
5/5! Not only is Sylvano's a beautiful and cozy place to dine, not only are the servers and chef genuinely kind and attentive - but - the food is phenomenal. I've had the risotto as well as the grilled calamari and both were made with love. The grilled calamari, though an appetizer, is quite a generous portion and is almost like a calamari steak - just delicious. They also have different oils to accent your food, like a chili oil and a mushroom oil, both tasty. I recommend Sylvano's and can't wait to go back!
Great food, great service and great ambience. The homemade pasta was delicious and the chicken paillard was perfectly seasoned with a side of mixed green salad. The tiramisu is to DIE for.. I never eat my whole desert but I just couldn't help but to have the very last bite..
I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the best Italian cuisines I've ever tasted. The food was exceptionally fresh, delicious, and truly outstanding. Our server, Yana, provided attentive and friendly service, answering all our questions and ensuring our needs were met promptly. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience.
Excellent Italian food and drinks. Enjoyed it so much we came back for a second night. Highly recommend the lasagna and the Giada cocktail.
Not sure where to start with this one. I have visited many Italian restaurants over the years and this might be a new favorite. The place is clean, friendly and elegant with a hint of sophistication. The fresh bread before your meal is served warm and fresh and is absolutely delicious. The mushroom risotto was simply amazing and the seafood risotto is simply perfect with a heap of fresh perfectly cooked assortment of seafood👌. The service is spot on with just the right amount of attention to our table. Giovanni was friendly and helpful when we asked for his input. If I ever find my way back to Miami, this will definitely be a stop.
Food was excellent so was the service. Price was very reasonable
Amazing pasta, desserts and ambience!! 20/10 definitely a must-try spot!!
Food was good, the service also very good. The bread and drinks always refilled and the food comes in good portions!
A true Italian gem with exceptional food, truly outstanding service, at very "un-Miami" prices.
Great Italian spot in Miami! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
We started going when they were on Alton Rd. When you find a "gem" stick with them. Over the years friends and family went with us including a former mayor of MB.
It has been a year since we've been to Sylvano's, and here's the amazing thing - the food quality and service are just as good as they always were when it was in SOBE years ago. The best of Italian home cooking, and a great value as well. Their calamari is better than anywhere in Miami, period. Go just for that. The Milanese is paper thin and flash fried to perfection with the classic arugula salad. The special snapper with shrimp, clams, and a tomato broth was silky and flavorful - like a trip to the Mediterranean coast. My friend's linguini vongole was perfectly executed, the brine from the clams flavoring a simple broth. And the pappardelle with lamb ragu was also on point, and a super generous portion. The lamb melted in your mouth, and the pasta just right. I don't often expect deserts to be as good as they were - the pistachio gelato tasted home-made, and had a tiny amount of saltiness from the nuts, a great balance to the creamy sweetness. I've had more bad, dry flavorless ricotta cheesecakes than I can count in my life and planned to never order another - but one friend ordered it and it was what it's supposed to be: creamy, touch of lemon, smooth and silky yet lighter than it's NY cousin. I've eaten at many of the Italian restos a few blocks north where the crowds wait - don't waste your time, stroll a few blocks to Sylvano's. The place feels like your cousin owns it, you feel welcome and there's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. And the always charming Sylvano. This should be your neighborhood restaurant. Your cozy dinner for 2. Where you take a big group of friends. Bravo, Sylvanos!
We had a great dinner her last evening. Great quality food cooked to perfection. Pasta was aldente and the chicken Parmesan was delicious. The pricing is reasonable for the food and drink menu. Service was on point.
Such a great spot for lunch or dinner!! Always a great time!!
The bartender was great very attentive Giada knows her stuff. This neighborhood Italian place that we love and go to consistently because of the staff and the owner make you feel at home and the food is always on par.
Great food and better service. You can’t go wrong with Sylvano.
Sylvania is quite a gem! We visited with my family while we were nearby and noticed its high rating on Google. It did not disappoint and even exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing—salads, appetizers, pasta, and the mahi mahi were all excellent!
Currently eating here and couldn’t wait to post this review, In a town bombarded by less than appetizing restaurants that gain notoriety on social media Sylvano’s doesn’t need to boast about their delicious food, stumbled upon this gem on a Thursday night, pastas are homemade, lamb chops are cooked to perfection and best of all this restaurant does not take your entire wallet, portions are beautiful, everything was tasty, happy to have found a restaurant this amazing so close to home
This place is so nice. That has great Food. Great customer service. It’s a beautiful hidden gem.
The food portions are huge, you really get your money wort, the flavor was on point, and the chicken parmigiana is a classic that was placed on point !
Wonderful dinner and cocktails. Everything was delicious and service was great. Enjoyed lamb chops and skirt steak. Both cooked perfectly. Loved the desserts. We were traveling from DC and craving lamb. Did not disappoint.
Everything was excellent. I got the calamari and lasagna and 10/10 both meals! Would recommend! Service was excellent and friendly staff
Great authentic Italian restaurant with a spectacular decor and patio. The service was excellent, the chef came out a number of times to chat and to present the specials. At the end he even brought out limoncello! The food however did not live up to the rest of the restaurant but it was good. The price was also very reasonable including the wine list. Overall the experience was very pleasant and I would recommend it for a night out!
We love Sylvano's home cooking and staff's friendliness. One little remark the antipasto plate was somehow disappointing, especially considering the quality of the menu.
Sylvano's Restaurant Miami (@sylvanosrestaurant) has been around for years at their self-standing location in Edgewater. I visited with my pup for a weekday lunch, and we received a warm welcome. For my main, I asked for the Chicken Parmigiana to be unbreaded (just a personal preference)- thankfully, they were happy to accommodate because it turned out to be one of my favorite meals! 🍅🧀🤤 💫Add me on IG @MiamiCheatDays for more recommendations!
Drinks and service were good, the food was very average. We had branzino, grilled squid, caesar salad and caprese panini. Nice enough, but not sure why reviews are so high, maybe we should have gone with the pasta or pizza.
Nice atmosphere. Maybe other food is good but don’t get pizza! Ordered pizza Margherita and got undercooked cheese pizza on a premade crust. 😡
Ordered margarita pizza and they brought regular cheese pizza. I even googled it for them so they know what real margarita pizza looks like. Lol I wouldn’t come back here again.
I wish I had a better review, but unfortunately I don't so here we go. The only think I loved about this place was the atmosphere. Its a cute little place with character. Oops I lied I liked the jalapeño Tequila too. I ordered the rack of lamb, the presentation wasn't bad but the flavor and vegetables it came with were rather sad. The vegetables that came with it were potatos ( like breakfast potatos you would get with eggs cubed and fried) zucchini but they were incredibly thin. Our server was a bit brash as well which I didnt like. For the lack of flavor and cost at final bill I personally wont go back.
Roof leaking un attentive staff mediocre at best drinks were ok food was meh how do you undercook pizza dough that’s thinner than construction paper just my take not enough sauce to much cheese I wouldn’t repeat I was told to move on top of everything else for some “regulars” as if I’m not paying for where I’m sitting not very friendly or welcoming either looks like they prefer a specific crowd 🇺🇸
Great service, but the food is not anything special at all, missing the real flavor, the dessert not good at all.. everyone knows that the “touch” of the crème brûlée is the warm crispy caramel/sugar blanket on top of the creme!! Not this one, it looks like an old cold creme from publix!! Bottom line! If you don’t know about italian food, then enjoy this place!!
The customer service is terrible waitress didn’t clean up after the table outside after friends left. You guys need waiters with patience acting like people don’t pay for the food they are ordering. And the owner clearly doesn’t care what the customers concerns are over his problematic Waitress. She clearly looked like she was off something. Food looked good shame I didn’t get to try it “cause at 10:00 the kitchen was closed “
This place doesn’t deserve 1 star. The food was terrible. The steak was hard, overcooked and greasy. We didn’t finish our food and the owner was so rude and refused to take it off the bill. Never come here!!
This place doesn’t even deserve a one star, food is no where near to authentic Italian flavor. Very small portion, price of the food is very high. Do yourself a favor & do not visit here.
What happened to Sylvano? Back in the day at the original location, we LOVED coming to Sylvano. The food, atmosphere and service was so great. Now, I don’t know if it’s the new location but this place is terrible. I am so sadly disappointed. First, we walked in this place and it smelled like sewerage. The smell was pretty strong. We stayed anyway, we were a big party and would be difficult to move onto another place. The waitress was extremely rude, I’ve never seen anything like it. She was impatient, seemed that she didn’t care to take care of the table. She was rushing through to get everyone’s order. She was pacing around the restaurant with such nervousness, it made us all nervous. Food - so so so disappointed. Risotto came out crunchy, meaning undercooked rice. Pappardelle pasta was stuck together, meaning reheated. The octopus was so hard, couldn’t cut it with a knife. Long story short - my special little place Sylvano has been ruined.
They were much much better, the owner is a great guy, but I believe the chef is not the same as before
We were so excited when we got to this place. It is so cute. Eggplant appetizer and all pasta dishes were so salty they were inedible. Our Waitress was very brash and unfriendly from the beginning. Atmosphere was lovely but food is awful. They took off one dish off the bill after we turned down their offer to remake all the dishes. It was that bad.I would not recommend this place . Not a good experience. Not sure why they have such good reviews .
We came as group because of the reviews and were very disappointed. Portions were small, the chicken was undercooked and cold with only 2 pieces of potatoes and 2 slices of carrots as “vegetable side” that were also cold. All of the pasta dishes we ordered were small and the waiter was rude. This will be our first and last time coming here.
This review is for an uber eats order. I ordered a mozzarella and tomato panini for 19.95 plus all the various fees. What I actually received was three small slices of tomato and mozzarella along with some cold, stale chunks of bread that looked like they were salvaged from someone else's bread basket. The restaurant should be embarrassed. Will not order again.
There was a ROACH in one of our dishes. I couldn’t even snap a photo quick enough because the waiter noticed it and took it away quickly. All they did was take the one dish off the bill and still charged us for the rest. I’ve never thought that a restaurant should take a meal(s) off the bill ever but having a literal roach in a meal is an absolute disgrace and an insane health hazard.
