You might not be in Tahiti but you're definitely at the beach. Tell 'em Heath sent you!
Beautiful view! Nice sandy beach!!
I planned to go here when I had enough money. I had faith that the mangoes would be good.
Clean n beautiful. Who doesn't love the beach
Very beautiful neighbourhood! But don’t be fooled by the name! There’s no beach over there!

Quiet,relax, incredible site.
Hermoso lugar. Arquitectura y paisajes.
I’m only bringing it a review to bring down the fact that it’s not public. No one should be recommended this beach if it’s gated. Google is for We the People.
Tahiti beach is amazing but the security guard at the second gate was very off. He was acting very fidgety and started interrogating me and then I asked why he was asking me so many questions and he just stopped and had me pay then I was on my way. Seemed sketchy.

Googling from my South Miami Airbnb, I wanted the closest beach to spend my morning. I sorted "beaches near me" by distance and set out for Tahiti Beach. Sixteen minutes later, after I passed the guard's visual search (I'm 68, white & male), a gate opened allowing me to drive for another five minutes past temple-size homes with immaculately sculpted lawns and long entry stairwells leading to 12-foot doors. Samsung's directives bolstered my courage and guided me along its blue-lit path to my destination, now only a few turns away. Based on this curving colonnade of homes, Tahiti Beach would surely be more wonderous than any I had seen. And lo, moments later the last gate appeared before promised paradise. The young, beautiful guard stepped down from her post kindly asking where I was going. I heard, "password required".. "I'm here to check out the beach," I replied. "There's no beach here," she replied. "Hmmm. Tahiti Beach?" I said, showing her my phone, "My GPS...." She cut me off, "It's a community, not a beach." And, no, I couldn't proceed through the gate to make my U-turn. I was instructed to make my U in reverse. I took a slightly different route back wishing I had mounted my GoPro. No one could believe these temple homes weren't built for gods. Back at my Airbnb, Google Earth proved there was, in fact, a beach at the end of my route. It was a small beach in a protected cove adorning four more temple homes. No surf. Murky water. But Tahiti Beach is, indeed, a beach, not a community. Check it out.
One sad Star. As I sit on a beach on the island of Crete Greece watching my wife and son, my mother reminisces about Tahiti Beach and all the fun enjoyed as a little girl in the 50’s. She shared how privileged her family felt to sit on such a beautiful beach. “The best beach in Miami.” I love the reviews available here and the individual who tried to gain access is in no way ignorant for he can see Tahiti beach just as well as the old timers like my mother thanks to high definition satellite pictures. One sad Star is all we can give what was once such a beautiful place. The beach in this picture is of Rethymno, Crete, Greece and we can see the back side of Stavros Beach(our current hometown) where Zorba the Greek takes place. Access to this almost completely undisturbed paradise costs Zero Dollars… except for just a hand held up and short oath. Join the US Navy, see better and freer beaches.
This is NOT a beach. It’s a guarded and gated rich community.

Not a public beach
There is no longer a beach. It is just houses
Rich people denying a beach to public.
Horrible smell of dead fish there, absolutely disgusting
Its just houses.... its gone
Private beach
bad
Eat the rich. Stop privatizing public land.
No longer public, blocked by greedy people
Private. Trash
This place has become trash... owned by trash owners who never pay attention to the residents complaints. There are much better places of quality and especially for the price... the beach is the only good part and even that hasnt been mantained well... not to mention it was obtained in a shady nature... Don't support places like this
In days long past it was a private beach. There was a small fee. The area was drained and filled and many houses were built over the mangroves. Matheson Hammock is your next alternative for a Bay Beach and wonderful trails.
Tahiti Beach was a favorite spot when I was growing up. It was a Jewel of Miami that was stolen from the public by rich and greedy elites. The City should have purchased it to preserve the public access.
Back in the 50s and 60s Tahiti Beach, regardless of what the ignorant guard told one of the other reviewers, was a beach and accessible to the public. I don't know if it was private or public land, but there was nothing around and was a popular alternative to Matheson Hammock Beach right down the road. Both beaches were circular beaches that had only small openings where the ocean water could flow in and out. On a nostalgia tour, I drove there only to be confronted by a guarded gate. I didn't bother to even talk to the guard and turned around and left. I don't understand why people would give the beach a rating higher than one star since they never got to the beach in the first place. In fact, zero stars would be more appropriate.
Google needs to remove this point on their maps, this beach was open to public many many years ago but our tourist don’t need to be mislead by it being a point of interest on their maps. There are plenty of white sandy areas you can call a beach up and down our coast and they aren’t pointed out on maps. This isn’t a public beach, it’s a man made sand mound for the rich which have always lived there….
Community blocks access to this beach against the laws applied to being a PUBLIC beach. Security will be getting sued by multiple people on this class action lawsuit.
That’s not fair to make separate beaches for rich people and poor people. It’s needs to be a public beach for everyone in the world not only rich people.
A guy kept on shouting "have faith aurthur!!"
All beaches are public, but the private community blocks access
No longer accessible to the general public. Can access by kayak but not allowed to enter.
The peoples so weird here ,the Spanish is the first language, no one speaks english...no parking area , any place u park u have to pay big for it...never I come back to Miami
