Love this place. Quiet, friendly staff, clean and great selection of food and drinks. Draft beers are changed periodically so they are always fresh.

Hidden Gem - This may be the best hidden spot on the Grove for good drinks and a chill atmosphere. I like to meet up here before going out. Try the red house ale.

It was a cozy spot next to our hotel! Good food: ordered the breakfast sandwich which was really good! The quick bites: wings, were a little burnt but still really good. Bartender made us some mojitos that were also pretty good! Service was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

The best local spot in Coconut Grove. Come for the people and stay for a great happy hour, I think it's every weekday from 5pm until 8pm. The food is good and you've got to try their Irish Sausage. It is the best sausage in all Florida. But most of all this is where you will find both tourists and locals. It's always a good sign when the locals hang out. The owner Olav and staff are great.

This place is AWESOME. I ordered a drink and Breakfast. The drink was on my table in 2 mins and my meal took 5 mins tops. Unbelievable service and the food, amazing. Thanks Eric. Oh BTW Happy Hour is from 12pm till 8pm. Win Win. Wish I found the Grove Spot earlier on in my trip.

My experiences @ the Grove Spot have been exemplary; Their breakfast & culinary options surpass a typical bars menu(Greek salad a must) ! This cozy, neighborhood gathering has a complete stock of liquor to satisfy a myriad of people- Live superb music (on multiple nights) that’s eclectic! FUN

always visited the place, I almost did not like the food, just beer. the last Friday night ordered a dish and the taste is very good and different LOL. maybe they changed the chef. but the food is better than other times, I recommend it 100% great food, excellent presentation of the dishes, good service and the place is nice and relaxing!

I am very bored in my hotel room and decided to look for bars nearby Coconut Grove and this particular bar catches my attention and did try it out. The service is excellent very observant, nice hangout where you can stay with great people around. The price in this bar is very moderate and the food is great too. Thumbs up to the number one bar in coconut grove.

Always nice to come to the Grove Spot. The food is really good and moderately priced. The staff is always friendly and I like how you can sit outside in the shade. They have a lot of special items I like. The Dutch influence on the menu is really appreciated by a Dutch native like myself! The Uitsmijter is great and I love the Hurricane Bites ('Vlammetjes') and the Bitterballen. I can recommend this place to anyone!

Went there on ‘Trivia’ night’, during July 4th holiday. The atmosphere was fun. The food was AWESOME!!! I had a tasty Chicken Piccata and my husband loved his Burger. Everyone was friendly and made us feel at home. After hanging out for Trivia, my husband ordered wings to go. He couldn’t resist after seeing another customers plate. Thanks to the Cook and staff!!! Friendly staff, great food, and decent pricing for the area. The lunch/dinner more is way more diverse than the breakfast though. I'd definitely recommend.

Erika and Mayelin is an AWESOME breakfast team. They go way above and beyond to accommodate visitors. The food presentation was spectacular along with atmosphere. Go and enjoy this 'spot of paradise'!

Great Karaoke Friday. Had a blast. We were a large group and they had a reserved area for our group. Great service, good place to gather for celebrations. 😉

Good relaxed bar in the grove. Have been here for dinner and Penn state game watching parties. Waitress was pretty bland, but the food was solid.

This is a Coconut Grove fixture. It's not the place you want to be in any kind of a rush but sit back and have a pint and enjoy the characters. The owner is from Holland and is always around to chat about the Grove. Enjoy!

Andy and I ducked in to meet the Wolfe before hitting the Arts Festival. I had a breakie sammy, Andy enjoyed sausage and eggs. JC the manager was a hit, our server was a cutie and efficient. Good value. Good flavor, good instagram special.

We had a very pleasant breakfast. Service was fast and friendly, food was good. Plan to eat there again.

The last Saturday in the month is Jazz night at "Grove Spot" we caught what was the most amazing Jazz ensemble comprised of a variety of seasoned musicians.

This place has improved drastically and it's great to see because it's such an easy place to walk over to and pop in. You can sit outside and smoke a cigar and talk to friends with a few drinks and watch the people go by. They have a great assortment of cocktails and televisions outside to watch sports, etc. Even the service has improved. Great job.

Grove Spot is tricky. Lilly is when no Lilly, service is just mediocre. I love the patio. The inside is not as welcoming. It is closed for vacation. Been closed a few weeks. Odd to close down for a month for owner vacation.

One of the nicest places in FL to just chill and hangout to eat with friends and family. Lotsa restaurants to choose from with outdoor seating/patios. Parking is expensive tho so don't forget to get your tickets validated in one of the stores/resto

Worst service in the area. They took forever to serve the drinks, I ordered one of the delis sandwich and the sauce was uneatable...I do not recommed this place. I let them know I was not happy with the sandwich and they did not do anything about it. Instead, the waitress told me that they were going to charge for the sandwich and that if I wanted, I could take it home and order something else. I asked for the check right away and left....and Will never go back! Poor customer service"!!"

Went for breakfast. Service was extremely slow. Ordered the frozen cappuccino, and two waters with lemon on the side. Server brought one water, no lemon, and no cappuccino when she returned later. I again asked for a second water, none came. Finally after at least a third (if not fourth) request did she bring the water, no lemons. Food had taken a long time to come out, practically 30 minutes, and the place was not busy at all so we did not understand why. Food was good not great. Prices are good not great for the quality. There are other places in the area with competitive pricing, so we likely won't eat here again when in Miami.

Got here 30 mins after they opened and they were still cleaning and prepping. Had breakfast, horrible. Tasteless, pre cooked Bacon is a disgrace. Pre packaged ham barely heated. Waitress forgot something we ordered but we didn't ask for it as we couldn't imagine it would be good. Definitely not recommended.

Walked in yesterday morning to a silent bar with only two individuals on their computers outside. After receiving what could only be described as nasty eye contact with the bartender my friend very politely asked if they were open (it was a couple minutes of being ignored while she cleaned). The bartender responded by looking at the people outside and asking "would there be people here if we werent?". I bartended for six years I would never speak to a client like that even on my worst day. We thought they might have been working and her not acknowledging us while we stood at the bar might have led to the idea...then to make it worse I asked if they had any drink specials going and she responded "what?" with the nastiest face. I had to ask if they had any specials on pitchers or mimosas and she simply responds "yeah we have mimosas". Needless to say we walked out after that. I had the nicest and most polite friends visting from up north and this was their first impression! Thank you!

Disorganized and long wait to get food after being ordered. Quality of food 3/10 at best. 'Carribean tacos' were made with day old ingredients and no flavor. Wait staff was nice.

The pre-packaged ham comment wan correct; this place was terrible, and I wish I had read the reviews. Go to one of the many other nearby breakfast spots that will actually be delicious.

I don't take pride in leaving a negative review but my wife's next day nausea has forced my hand. The waitress was unpleasant, the burgers and fries were flavorless (cheese was rotten), and the bathrooms were filthy. This is a place to drink beer and only eat when you are far too inebriated to differentiate between quality and filler. We felt cheated after our meal rather than feeling satisfied. Sad because this is in such a pretty area.

My first impression of the restaurant was that it was a cozy, laid-back joint and for me this was perfect! However, that was the end of my positive experience here. I was approached by a waitress that greeted me with a, "What do you want?" I thought it was tacky but no big deal, I'm hungry, I'll tell her what I want to order. I asked if I could replace the fries with another side and her response was "no". (First time I've been told 'no' for substituting sides at a restsurant.) The veggie burger I ordered was terrible. It wasn't even handmade fresh like the menu says. I was so hungry after running around all day without eating but still, I couldn't stomach the taste of it. I let the waitress know that I didn't like the burger. Please note: I didn't ask for a refund or anything, instead I left it up to the restaurant to rectify the issue. (Try asking me if I'd like to order something else!) The waitress snatched my plate and told me she would take it off the bill and walked off. I was shocked and couldn't believe the attitude and disrespect from this lady from the very beginning. When she came back from the kitchen, she came over and told me the owner said to leave and never come back because he doesn't want my business. You can imagine the way I felt and the total surprise at the way this establishment handled business and how they treat their customers. Given how my experience was today and how the owner or manager handled the situation, I would never come back or recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps it was the color of my skin. I'm not sure but I have video of how the lady treated me and yelled at my sister and caused a scene for telling her that she was wrong for snatching the plate and handling my complaint the way she did. - Unprofessional - Rude - Bad food, nothing fresh, very dry - Cozy interior but nothing warm about the lady who waited on me if you could even call it that I went to Choices and the service and food was amazing.

I chose to eat at The Grove Spot, because, as someone who works in the area, there are few options that are affordable for a quick lunch. I looked at their menu online and noticed they serve breakfast until 3pm (though Yelp describes breakfast as "all-day"), so decided on a breakfast omelette. Well when I got there, despite the fact that the place was virtually empty, it took the waitress about 5 minutes before she even gave me a menu, even though I was sat at the bar directly in front of her. When she finally handed me a menu I asked her if they did take-out, to which she replied yes. Great, I thought! Firstly, there were no breakfast options, apparently, breakfast is served until they decide to stop it because I got there at 1.30pm - well before the 3pm cut-off time. I was already 10 minutes into my lunch break so I did not have time to pick another place to eat, so settled with the buffalo chicken sandwich & fries. Well, 20 minutes go by and I still haven't gotten my food. A gentleman goes to the kitchen to check on my order and, brings my sandwich upon return. I look in the bag and....there are no fries. So of course I ask "On the menu, it said the buffalo chicken sandwich comes with fries..." and the man responds "Oh yes, but that is for dine-in only".........what? So apparently, you only get fries with your burger/sandwich if you are eating in, yet the price remains the same $10.50 (plus tax!!). It does not say this anywhere on the menu and, the waitress did not inform me of this when I ordered to go and the man did not really seem to care (I don't know if he was the manager? or owner? or both??). Apparently, they make dine-in "special" by adding a small portion of fries. All I could do was laugh at the ridiculousness. On top of all that, the buffalo chicken sandwich was dry and lacked any real flavor. Needless to say, I will not be returning to or recommending this place.

I was in Miami for a wedding this past weekend. We walked to the Grove Spot because we had called and they had no wait. Bad sign. The breakfast menu is incredibly limited. They have pancakes on it, but you have to ask first if they have them "in stock" or whatever. Once we learned they did have a supply of pancakes, I ordered an orange juice. My family ordered waters. I took 3 sips, then they informed us they were out of pancakes. They only had their other items, which were not classic enough breakfast for me. I don't need avocado or gouda cheese in my breakfast. So we left, only after she charged me $5.89 for the orange juice I didn't drink. I'd also add that the server was cold and borderline mean. DO NOT DO IT. We went to le Bouchons instead. Excellent.

I had a very bad experience at this spot. The owner is very rude. I played music on the juke box and he asked it to be turned down. He said we pay for music not the volume. It was only myself, my friend and another person in the restaurant. Regardless, he then states I must be miserable because I complained about his comment.
