Tip: It's a good plan for a Sunday breakfast with the family.
First time here and I ordered a blt which came with pickles, fries, and coleslaw. Everything was made perfectly and they did not simp on the bacon. Pancakes were good as well. I would've liked a little more flavor on the pancake since it tasted just like batter but it was made to perfection. Location was pretty spacious we had a party of 6 and they were able to accommodate us pretty quick. The waiter was super nice and always making sure we had everything we need. Overall pricing, service, and experience was very good. I will be back again!
We had dinner tonight for Mother's day. My husband had the prime rib from the Mother's day menu. I had the Odd Duo from the regular menu. They were both delicious and so filling. We took our desserts to go. Excellent food.
This is a great place to come after a day at Legoland. The menu has a good variety of options, the quality of the food is superior to the legoland options and much more affordable. The children’s menu has 10 mains. Our kids ate everything. The service is great. Only a 10 minute drive - worth the trip.
We came across this Diner on a spur of the moment trip to NY. Well I’m so glad we stopped there for dinner. The food was amazing, the portions were huge and the prices were fair as well. I spoke with the wait staff, the hostess and the owner as well. All very nice, friendly and welcoming. If you are ever near Middletown, NY do yourself a favor and stop by Kaz Americana Diner. You will NOT be disappointed for sure! FIVE STARS!!
Always fresh because it's a busy spot. Our visit was a Sunday mid morning. Service is friendly and fast not rushed. Food was good. Even had poached eggs on a busy sunday and they were perfectly done.Had a bloody mary it was fine for a diner. Not fancy but not over priced either. Clean. Go and enjoy your favorite or something you don't normally cook this is good diner comfort food.
Went out for dinner here and the server was personable, hardworking, and communicative. Menu is extensive but everything we ordered came out great. Close to hotels in the area so check it out if you are coming from far away and need a home cooked meal. I ordered the chicken souvaki and it was a huge portion, came with salad and a side and the tzhiki sauce was excellent. Nice selection of menu items for kids and comes with dessert as well. Check it out for sure if you haven't already!
Delicious food, fast and great service, a nice clean place and you don't have to brake the bank. Very satisfied with this diner.
Kimberly provided an outstanding service. She was super nice and gave us a lovely experience. The food was really good. I love the cappuccino and the Nutella, walnut, and banana crepes. Fully recommended.
The food was excellent the service was by far lacking. Our waitress had no time for us in an empty place. No condiments with our food, loudly clearing table behind us, all wrong drink orders, no desserts even though they came with our meals, she was just a hot mess. If it wasn't for the excellent food we would have left.
My family and I had a very nice experience. Good food and plenty of it, which makes the prices fairly reasonable. The server was very friendly and took great care of us. Ordered a tasty pastrami Reuben (pic in review), and it's served open faced. Kids meal came with a drink and a dessert, nice bonus even though it's about $10 per kid meal.
Great service, food and choice. They always take care of my elderly Mom, great people.
Kimberly was my waitress, she was so nice! She made sure our drink were full, and she was on top of dirty dishes. Hope she continues to be amazing, definitely gonna ask for Kimberly when I come back!
Always friendly and nice atmosphere 👌 a variety of delicious food.
Excellent diner. Clearly many things advertised as "homemade" were actually homemade. Service was friendly, the restaurant was spotless inside. Huge diner menu - breakfast for dinner!
My wife and I like to eat here because the staff are very friendly towards our kid. They bring crayons, paper etc to keep her entertained while we eat lol. The place also has a very old school diner vibe which is nice.
We have been going to this diner for years. And ever since I can remember it looks the same. But today June 27 2025 I realized just how nasty it looks. We were sat in the back and the ceiling is discolored and nasty the bathrooms look like they were built in the 50's. Don't the owners think it's about time for it to be redone. The parking lot is always full so they make enough money for it to be remade
Great food friendly staff great place for food
I've been going here for about 20 years, wonderful place. I don't live anywhere near it, in the past 20 years I've lived (and currently live) 30 miles away in three different directions. there is NO BETTER "Diner" anywhere near it in the Hudson valley, And I've lived here for 82 years. Great food, VERY reasonable prices, HUGE menu, fabulous homemade soups, generous portions, prompt service, friendly owner and pleasant staff - ample parking. What more can you ask for? They serve alcohol of all kinds and all non-alcohol drinks from ice cread sodas to Decaf Capuccino. They serve Italian, Chinese, French, Spanish, Greek and distinctly American ciusine. WE hold ALL our business lunches and Birthday bashes here. It's worth the drive! Whether it's all the way from Warwick or Port Jervis, Bloomingburg or Newburgh - it's worth the time and the effort. Statistically, the average customer spends 1 hour there. All that's missing is a piano! (I'm a pianist.)
Americana dinner is a nice family atmosphere. It's always busy, especially on Sundays. Waitresses are nice and very prompt to serve you. I recommend that if you want to have a nice Sunday breakfast, come as early as you can to get an accommodating seat. The wheat pancakes are the BEST❤️👌 and only served on weekends, though. Enjoy!
Turned into the goto breakfast spot. Staff was friendly and fast. Gets pretty busy later in the morning. We were getting in at 0730 and it was quiet. Showed up at 9 and it was busy. Definitely recommend.
Love this diner ❤️ one of my favorites so far
The food was fresh and delicious. Served right away. It was busy but it was comfortable and pleasant. We enjoyed ourselves and had a really nice birthday dinner with my son and his lady. 10 ⭐from me.
First time here. Typical nice clean and prompt diner. Seated immediately on a busy Sunday for 6 of us. Ordering was fine food was good. Service was just a little off due to the business, so understandable. We would definitely go back.
Very welcoming place with a huge menu selection. Wonderful family atmosphere beautiful service and grate food.
Seating was a little tight but our waitress was sweet and the food was good and came out pretty fast for it being a weekend
Always good food and decent prices
A phenomenal Diner! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I will be returning!
I came in with my family tonight. 5 of us. Lots of food. Kimberly was our server. She was friendly. Very attentive. Instantly made a connection with my special needs daughter. Thank you. Food was great. Service was phenomenal! 10 out of 10. Recommend. Ask for Kimberly!
Had a great meal. Great coffee.. greatest waitress ever. Cannot wait to come back
Food is great and staff are friendly and helpful
The food's good, service is great. Real nice place to sit down and eat.
Came on New Years day around 12 and had to wait about 20m for a party of 5. We’re not from around the area (NYC) but we’re very happy about stopping here to fuel up on our way back home. Got matzah ball soup in a cup & chicken parm on a roll. Big were delicious. Big matzah ball and yummy soup and a cheesy and messily delicious parm with red sauce to add. Also Got jalapeño poppers for the table that hit the spot. Will return.
Food was amazing. Linda our server was very professional and friendly. A must diner
Great place. Feels at home. Delicious food. Awesome service and courtesy
We eat here very often and food is always good. The waiters and waitresses are courteous and response to our request.
Classic diner feel with an incredibly diverse menu. Service was great and the food was excellent.
Went here to have a me day, had lunch all by my lonesome, the salad was amazing. The staff was so nice. Will be going back
The ultimate Diner experience and somehow even with inflation as it is they seem to keep their prices down and very reasonable. Furthermore the portions are so generous you'll be taking home leftovers. An extensive menu with something for everyone made to perfection. I try something new every visit and am never disappointed. Did I mention they have the BEST coffee!!! And you must check out their cake selections!
Had dinner here for a friends birthday and our waiter was great! We didn’t catch his name but he realized we liked pokemon and let us go through the cards like little kids! Fantastic service!
Now this is what a true diner experience should be. Great American classics and Great American food. Eggs, potatoes and bacon just delicious and perfectly cooked pancakes. I love to support local business institutions like this. It's the salt of the earth.
Food is amazing accross the menu. Julio and Pepe in the front are amazing and the waitresses are all very friendly. Try the bison burger. Pancakes are 10/10 too
This review is specifically for the cheesecake. I ordered a cheesecake for a party, we have some gluten-free guests, they were able to confirm that their cheesecake has no flour in the ingredients. It was a16-in cheesecake the price was $50 and it was totally worth every bit of it. The creamy consistency and texture wis fabulous we put fruit on the side! it was a huge hit to all the guests at the party.
My son and I go to the Americana Diner about 3 times a week for lunch. We enjoy the food (especially breakfast) always fresh. The best part besides the good food is the very nice manager, waitress and waiters. They are all so nice and make you feel so comfortable.
I absolutely love this place! I bring my co workers here all the time! They absolutely respect law enforcement as well..Everyone! I feel comfortable in and out uniform
We stopped in very last minute the other night, around 10:15pm. There were a couple other tables there, but they were closing soon. The food was awesome, honestly some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had and I’ve been to many diners, and worked at one! The service was fast, our waitress was so kind and helpful, I wish we had got her name! Overall great experience, we will definitely be back!
Came to the Kaz's Americana diner for dinner as we usually do. Had a wonderful experience and was served a wonderful experience. Brii (our waitress) was very friendly, personable and attentive to our needs. The food was pretty good and served exactly as ordered, and even though it was a packed restaurant, it was decently quiet enough to hold conversations. They didn't make us feel rushed when we finished eating and let us sit and chat about the days happenings whilst still getting drink refills. Overall a wonderful outing.
Acogedor, excelente cafe, delicioso omelet
Great old school diner! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food for the most part was very good. Generous portions, for sure. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn. It also came with a soup or salad. I chose chicken orzo soup. The soup was very delicious and tasted homemade. It was very savory—-I wish there was more❤️. The meatloaf was good but a little dry. It was served with some nice brown gravy that tasted like it had nutmeg in it. It was good, but unusual. The mashed potatoes were homemade and not instant. My picky son gobbled them up! What my son didn’t eat was his own dinner, which was the kid’s Mac and cheese. It looked good, but when I tasted it (since he didn’t like it) I found it to be very bland. It was elbows mixed with a “Cheese flavored” sauce. I say that it quotes because the only thing that made it mimic cheese was the orange color. It wasn’t awful, but it also had no flavor. 😕 I got plenty of potatoes and corn so I just shared my food with him—it’s all good. He also had French fries. They were pretty standard and he enjoyed those. My husband loved his pancakes and sausage….he left not a speck on the plate! 😀 Overall a nice experience, and next time we are in the area we would love to come back. I saw some sandwiches being delivered to another table that looked great. I think I will try something like that next. 🥪
Very good. Best Matzo ball soup I know of! Overall a nice friendly place. I had never been here until the last year or so. My wife told me how much she loved it, so we finally got there and never disappointed since. I can't give 5 stars, even though many things were worth 5 stars. But like most dinners in my humble opinion, I feel sometimes they try and do so many items that some are just "OK". Never had a BAD meal though. All the staples are great, burgers, breakfasts, gyro's, soups.
Food and customer service was good. Food took long to come out.... will try another time when it's less crowded. My lil one had the Ben 10... which is a grill cheese and fries. He would order it again.
Very good diner . Can get very busy and seems to be well managed. My omelet was a little bit overcooked and dry Price just a little bit above the norm but ok. Leak from the ceiling in men's bathroom still not fixed. Don't know how they pass health inspection with this. Nothing like getting mystery liquid dripping on your head when you go in the restroom to take care of your business.
Good food and wonderful service. Brianna was our waitress and was absolutely wonderful. She always goes above and beyond every time we are there.
This diner was a nice size. They were able to accommodate 10 of us. The staff was very friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable and portions were a large size. Everyone took home a doggy bag. I had the Cajun burger and I was eagerly expecting a lot of robust flavor. I was disappointed because it had a hint of Cajun flavor and it wasn't bursting with flavor in a true Cajun style. It wasn't bad, but there as a lot of room for improvement. Also I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it was medium well. The size of the burger was a nice large size. My nephew's burger was cooked medium when he asked for medium well. I took a bite out of my son's Cuban panini. The flavor was good but it was on the dry side. Everyone else said their food was good. I would give this diner a 3 and a half stars if it were available.
Shake was good, service was good, and you should note that a bunch of the options that say they're only available on cerain days may be ordered at any time if you opt out of hollandaise sauce. Why they dont always have hollandaise sauce (or poached eggs??) is odd but not my place to ask. Good enough.
Typical NY diner. Building is well maintained and clean. Tables are crowded together, but still has enough space for people to get around. Menu has a lot of variety with a lot of homestyle comfort foods. It was busy So, the waitstaff took a minute to take orders and get back around to check on things. Food was delicious and made to order. Coffee was ok. Recommend the bison burger and the Irish skillet.
I have eaten here several times, mostly for breakfast and lunch. I won't go back for dinner as they tried to pass off something for lamb, that wasn't. The prices are between 8 and 14 for a breakfast plate of eggs..the sides will add to your bill easily. Cups of coffee are small for $2.60 a cup, but it is what it is. Keep in mind that this is the only diner around the area. It is usually clean and the seating and service will depend upon the crowd. Keep in mind that you will be penalized 3% if you use your credit card. Place this busy should be able to absorb that and save the customer money.
Ordered the Irish breakfast. Corned beef hash was canned Mary Kay type, seems like the potatoes may have been bagged frozen. Only item fresh that I could tell were the eggs. My husbands pancakes were delicious. Waitress was hurried but attentive. Guess I’m spoiled by the Mud Puddle in New Paltz. Best corned beef hash anywhere. Chunks of corned beef, fresh potatoes and onions.
My first time time here, had a lunch meeting and an hour to get in and out. We were seated right away and the server was nice and gave us as much time as we needed to order. I had a hard time deciding because I'm vegan and had to adjust my order to make it work. I ended up with a strawberry and blue cheese salad and had to pluck out the cheese. It was okay, I ate as much as I could. I'm not sure what the dressing was but I tried to work with it. My niece ordered a burger and fries and she liked it so that came out pretty good. I wish they were a larger list of option that were solely vegan, that would have made this visit better for me and other vegans.
My food was great, I had the stuffed fish with feta and spinach..the salad portions were awesome as I rather have more of that over a small handful which most places give you. One party from my group wasn't too thrilled with the order and oi must agree with them. They ordered the seafood combo and it was bland with melted butter pored over it. The side that was ordered was wasn't what they received and the pie although a nice portion, it didn't make up for the absent taste of flavor. While most of the place was clean,. The rest room was not. I understand if it was a little busy. This was not the case, As I returned to my seat and waited for the orders to come over 20min no one went to the restroom to clean it and the pic to i took before I left proves it.
We went there tonight for dinner and we ordered a French dip panini and the Au Jus had no flavor at all. I ordered a typical turkey bacon club sandwich and potato salad. The potatoes were horribly undercooked as was the bacon. The bacon was actually raw. We spoke to the server who was extremely apologetic and we also spoke to the Manager who said he would take something off our bill but didn't Those isn't our first poor experience at this diner so we won't be going back.
Almost $50 for breakfast would’ve never been a problem to spend at Americana because we loved them. But after 20 years of coming here, the food was cold, the server was terrible and the cashier was the nastiest woman I’ve ever met. Over twenty years down the drain because you only get ONE TIME to mistreat my parents. I’ll never go back.
I Live in Staten Island while visiting family in Middletown we stopped at this Diner BIG MISTAKE. The Greek Salad was disgusting. Anchovies thrown on top Bitter Cucumbers Brown Iceberg lettuce Nasty Stuffed Grape leaves I paid extra for a fried chicken cutlet it tasted like old oil and was breaded in flour only no breadcrumb. No lemon no oregano no olive oil in there greek dressing it was salty and just BAD. My husband's spinach pie was greasy and tasted old. I will say good coffee. NJ has some of the Greatest Diners next time I visit I'll drive a Lil further and go where I know they take pride in being a Diner this place was HORRIBLE and the BATHROOM WAS FILTHY NO TOILET PAPER JUST BROWN PAPER TOWEL left on the sink just in case you needed to wipe. My server Snippy ave rolled her eyes when I asked for a refill of coffee.
I went here with my husband and son and the white waitress was very rude and made up a story that my husband was rushing her and not being nice she brought a man to tell us her complaints then he told us to leave we had no idea what happened because no one was rude to her . My husband is black and I am puertorican we felt she was racist against us all he asked her was to please bring his soup and this was the result. They the made us leave and we never ate our food once it was served and she kept yelling racial slurs at us . I don’t recommend that people of color should go to this diner in Middletown ny my child has been traumatized from this experience.
Terrible food, slow service, staff is overworked. Will never return.
I have been going to this dinner for many years I even had a friendly relationship with the managers and some waitress and staff. I had a horrible experience on June 25, 2025, the waitress was super aggressive and rude and disrespectful She overcharged me and when I approached management about the issue, The manager did not respond. The waitress went crazy and embarrassed me in front of my kids and threatened to charge me more fees. I asked the waitress to stop talking to me. Because she was going crazy. She kept on going and ranting about how much she can up charge me and pointed to the menu. I’m pretty sure the diner has cameras so they can confirm this. I said I had enough and I’ll just pay the bill. I am truly disgusted living in Orange County for 23 years. I’m never going to the diner for this type of disrespect it’s not worth me spending my money at this location, fair warning the food is good. The food is decent. Some of the workers are nice, but be careful.
They make so much money and the place is a mess. Broken booth chairs. Chipped dishes. Old Pepsi plastic cups. The place looks over 100 years old. Why not renovate it's awful
This place was so good until it wasn’t. I went today with my family and there were gnats in my water. When this was brought up the manager failed to apologize and only took $8 off the bill and said that was enough. She did not seem to care and attempted to try and correct me multiple times. As a person of color they clearly don’t value us there and are disrespectful. We’ve been going for some time now and I don’t want to go anymore. I did not get a picture because when I went to the bathroom in attempt to throw it up while my sister addressed it, the glass was gone before I came back to the table.
