The best Japanese Maggie rolls and tempura. Hibachi fried rice is delicious.

I traveled to Middletown CT on a business trip and just off the cuff stopped into Hachi for some Sushi..... Wow, I hit a homerun!! Not only was the Sushi AWESOME but the Staff was super friendly and kind. Everything from the fresh Oysters to the Turo and Fatty Salmon was to die for. I kept complimenting the Sushi Chef and could totally tell he took great pride in what he was serving. Too bad I don't live closer otherwise I'd be a "Regular" with my wife and 3 boys.

Loveeeee Hachi! The sushi is DELICIOUS and there are so many options. Would always recommend. The atmosphere is fine, but it’s all about the food here

This is such an amazing place. Literally the best taro boba I've had in my life and I have had A TON of taro boba in my life. Also the sashimi set was to die for. The service was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place and hope to come back the next time I'm in the area

The owners are lovely. They are exception workers! Foods kinda pricey, but service, food quality, food selection, scenery, and location make it all worth it. Highly suggest coming here for a date night, fun night, birthday, social gathering, etc. They take their work very seriously, garnish their foods with exceptional illustrations! Beautiful music selection too! Come hungry! . A photo of their dinner bento. Very aestheically pleasing, and was tasty and filling! Comes with soup & salad!

Really good! We got the cherry blossom roll, a crispy spicy tuna roll, Philly roll, and a bento box with chicken teriyaki & sushi and everything was really good & service was friendly. Definitely my new spot for sushi.

Nice place for a quick bite, always friendly and the food is good for the price. I enjoy their lunch menu and come here with colleagues.

Had lunch with several friends from out of town. Although I have been here many times and have enjoyed every meal it was a new experience for the others. I was so happy that everybody loved this restaurant as much as I do. Several had not had Japanese food before and were absolutely delighted at the taste of everything that they tried. The owner is a wonderful young women who interacted with the group making everybody feel the personal care that she puts into everybody and everything prepared by their kitchen. As the group disbanded everybody stated that they would love to come back again.

This is our favorite sushi spot, without a doubt. We love sushi and eat it often, and we feel so lucky to live within 30 minutes of this restaurant. It's absolutely fresh, nothing pre-rolled and chilled. Far away? Take the drive... It's so worth it! Hachi is Connecticut's gem for 🍣 and they shouldn't change a thing! Friendly and fast service as well. Wonderful!! An update: Still amazing and still the best we've come across! Even after months, they remember all of our standard orders! I couldn't love this restaurant or the staff more. They even give little gifts out to customers during the month of December, to celebrate the anniversary of their opening. 7 years this year! Congrats to them!

The food was solid - i got the chicken teriyaki and California roll bento box. All of it was good except the tempura was a little heavily coated.

Always great food and good service! This place never disappoints if you are getting sushi. The teriyaki bento isn’t very good though

The sushi was solid though the tuna in my spicy tuna tasted a little mushier than I prefer. It was still good, just not the texture I’m used to.

Great service, good sized portions and basic tables. We ate at Hachi multiple times throughout our stay and tried multiple different dishes: pork gyoza, seafood spicy miso ramen, triple sushi, dinner bento shrimp tempura with 2 California rolls, hibachi steak, red curry chicken, sake salmon sushi, steak teriyaki, NY Strip Yakitori, boba tea. The beef and chicken were of good quality and we enjoyed our food. We were very happy that they provided large glasses of ice water. The boba was made fresh and not out of a can. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ate in and did take-out and they did a great job with both. A few things we noted: the ramen had a fried egg (see photo) which is very non-traditional; the salmon sushi was ok but the tuna tasted of lower quality; and we wondered if the chef was less experienced with sushi rolls because they served the California rolls inside out and shorted the seaweed in the salmon sushi plate (see photo) but the roll stayed together. We enjoyed our dinners and would definitely return.

My family and I were very happy with all of the food we ordered, it was fresh and delicious! Service was a little slow but the staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Checked this place out from a Groupon I had purchased recently. Service was very friendly and attentive. Appetizers (shumai, gyoza, and kani salad) came out quickly and were very fresh. Kani salad was a bit spicy compared to others I've had. Also had quite a bit of tempura flake over the top. Was still tasty, however. Ordered 4 sushi rolls - 3 special rolls and 1 standard roll. Rolls seemed fresh and full of flavor. A bit heavy on some of the sauces over the top. I still enjoyed them, but felt it was a bit overpowering to the roll itself. I'd definitely return though. The place seems to get pretty crowded too.

I got the chicken yakitori (takeout) which was tasty, reminded me of chicken on a skewer at a fair. I also got the strawberry bubble tea which has a nice flavor, the only downside is that there are no bubbles in it. Overall good food!

I am surprised at just how many really great places we have to eat in CT! This one is no exception. I couldn't tell you how long they have been in this location, but I know I've passed it by many of times regardless of how short or may be? Oh right, there food. Yeah, amazing! I thought that I had found the best sushi place already, have been going for years, trying a few others along the way not comparing. Until now! Hachi is a real player. Now I wish I could remember what's rolls are what and I guess I could write them down, but i'm getting there. One here is the Hachi Kaze roll. The other I just can't remember. Either way both rolls are amazing! Some of the best I've had. Full of flavor and spice. As you may know i'm not a fan of spicey hot, or hot for the sake of hot and these are, but I would certainly order these again! I know i'm skipping to the main course without taking about the starter. This may have been a special, I can't remember. Which ever it was they were equally great. Watching the dishes come out to the other tables I don't think this place has a bad dish. I wanted everything I saw pass by! And what seemed to come out most was a Teriyaki Chicken that looked like none I've seen before. Next time that will definitely be on the order. Dessert was not the usual mindless boring chitchat. A mascarpone base dessert in a chocolate shell and I forget the hot liquid poured over it was a great delight. All in all I think I have a new favorite that I will be excited to visit again!

My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant. The server was very pleasant and attentive and the food was served quickly. The salad was fresh and seasoned well and the miso soup was delicious, my little 4 year old ate all of his. The place felt cozy and looked clean.

I’ve eaten here in person before and it was good. Got takeout this evening and the special rolls I got were all slathered with WAY too many toppings and soggy… not thrilled…

The food looks fancy but got a stomachache that night and the next day (not just me but my friends had dinner here). We had to go to the bathroom all day taking turns. Also, they charged me for extra miso soup without any notice and gave only 2 spoons even though we were 3.
