Outback Steakhouse Middletown Reviews
These men are the best! I ordered a meal via curbside pick-up. I ordered as I was driving into the parking lot of Outback. There were at least eight other cars waiting for their orders. I thought 'this is going to take forever'! I could not believe how fast the service was. These guys were almost running to get the orders to the people waiting in their cars. Could not believe the team effort and how well they worked so harmoniously together. My meal was perfect. It tasted just how it always does. Cooked perfectly!!!! Thanks to Eddie, Lee, and Jim !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did take away and we were all very satisfied!
Outback has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid so I was happy to come back for a dinner date. Food was great and our server, Jill, provided a great mix of humor and professionalism that really helped for us to have a great time.
I always come to this Outback and have a better experience each time I visit! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating, the food is always great, and if there is any issues the staff is always right there to make sure you are helped to have a great meal! The manager Joe came over to our table and had a great conversation, always makes us feel at home! Can’t recommend this location enough to friends!
Consistently delicious! I place a pick up order on the app
Food was delicious. Service was good Went to dine at Outback today March 15 2025. Elliot & I had the $18,99 3 coutse meal. 6 oz sirloin steak w/fries. He had Cesar salad & I had house salad . We both had cheescake. My 2 complaints are as follows. The bathroom was freezing cold & there was no hot water to wash your hands with. How can cold water kill germs on your hands? I was about to walk out but of there but I drank alot & had to go real bad. How come there is no water in the bathro om? Nor heat in there? It was horrible.
Toni Ann , my server for the evening was out standing and out of this world. Everything was on point : service was awesome. Every need taken care of . Super fast. And the food to die for, thank you for making our out back experience great for my fathers birthday !
Just had dinner with my husband.. everything was outstanding! The service was incredible the timing of all the food was perfect and the food was excellent! Thank you for a wonderful night out!
Great food. This time we did the order on line. Told them how we wanted our steaks, and what time we wanted them. Went and picked up, was going past on another errand. Was ready on time and cooked perfect . Had cheesecake too they were a generous slice and delicious too. Thanks for a great Mother's Day meal!!!!!
We have been to many outback restaurants within the tri-state area. The one in Middletown, New Jersey has to be the best we have been to. Not only the ambience and the spacious floor plan, The service is great. It’s not just on one waiter. Everybody has a job to do and they do it very efficiently and quickly.
Order ahead and they bring your order to your car. I love the app and the staff. Food hot and staff always pleasant.
We go just for the $14.99 special - fabulous deal!
I have loved this particular location for over a decade! Their service is unlike any other! Awesome friendly servers and bartenders, the hosts are smiling and the food and drinks are great. The owner Lee is always around, greeting his patrons which I appreciate. Outback Middletown is Aussie-Mazing
Our server Kevin was great. We have had him a couple times now. Each time he was very polite and checked in often to make sure everything was good. The kitchen had the food come out in a timely manner too.
Our waitress Toni was great! She was attentive and knew the menu! She came back to check on us frequently and my family really enjoyed dinner! Toni’s personality and sweetness was a great touch to our evening! We were out celebrating our first day of school and Toni made it special! We will definitely be back and be asking for her to serve our family. The dinner was amazing!
Great service. Please seal the bag next time.
Always great service with Michelle at the Middletown location. The food is always to our specific order, clean atmosphere, blue cheese chunks in their bleu cheese dressing,😊. The rewards program helps defra the rising cost of eating out. Try the Kendall and St Michelle wines excellent ! 💞✌️
Middletown Outback did not disappoint! We were welcomed enthusiastically when coming in, my steak was perfectly cooked, and our server Kelly was awesome! It was very busy but our food and drinks came out quickly, and multiple workers checked in on us and got us whatever we needed in a timely manner. 10/10 experience!
Being 630pm for a Saturday dinner ~ the place was jumping, but still so attenitive too each and every customer that came in! The girls at the front were so welcoming and kind ~ the servers & managers were exceptionally spectacular :) Sierra is the absolute sweetest with a divine sense of initiative, thankyou for making everyones evening so special ❤️
We go here ALOT! We love the food, menu has a great variety to choose from, place is always clean. Staff is super friendly! Our favorite servers are Laura & Michelle. We specifically ask for their sections when we go. They both have great personalities, and work their butts off for the customers! We've never had a bad experience here😁👍👍👍
It's a good place to eat. We went for Father's Day, so it was fairly busy, and it took a while for water refill, but understandably so. Overall I would recommend if you are looking into the comments.
Food was great. The waitress Lauren was awesome. Never forgot anything refilled our drinks brought everything we asked for and needed took great care of us. It's been a long time since I've been served so good at a restaurant.
Great food and service. Very clean.
Thank you so much Middletown Outback! We had a very special 70th birthday party this afternoon and the management and staff were great! We ate outdoors and the seating area was perfect. Lovely flowers and greenery. The staff went above and beyond to make our party a lot of fun! The food, as always, was delicious.
We were pleasantly surprised with the service and food taste in this chain restaurant. We are frequent guests there now.
We had to pick food up and everything was perfect And saltar came out and brought the food to us .
The Outback on 35s in Middletown NJ. Is Awesome there’s an Amazing Manager named Steve he went above and beyond to help us once with an order we had … top notch staff and food
We came here for the $14.99 deal And it was absolutely amazing. The cocktails were so good and our waiter was really friendly and always courteous on checking on us. I will always come back here with my family and friends. Highly recommended.
I want to commend Martin for his exceptional customer service at Outback Middletown, NJ. Five stars ✨ without hesitation.
Absolutely phenomenal service by the staff I want to share this story: I ordered my meal for pickup and I go home and they forgot my sweet potatoes. Not a big issue but I figure I would call and maybe they can credit my sweet potatoes. So I called and they said they can’t credit me since I ordered through DoorDash but they can deliver it to my house. I felt kinda bad they would go out of their way and I said it’s okay unless they’re in the area. Not only was that not an issue, but they said they will also give me a free appetizer for my troubles so I got a free shrimp on the Barbie! How nice is that!! Thank you for the amazing service I will definitely come back here again! Also the food was so delicious
Great service, the food was amazing. the staff went above and beyond. I definitely will be going to this place more often I can’t remember the server name I had but over all the staff was amazing
Ribs were good. Decent size. Side Caesar was nice. Really enjoyed the Mac n cheese bites. Our server, Laura, was wonderful. Burger did not sit well I was told. Overall it was a nice atmosphere with good food. Feels like OutbacksBack.
We've had dinner here about 6 times in the past 4 months. The staff are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The steaks are consistently good except for just one time a steak was surprisingly tough. The next time we dined it was just like all the other steaks, cooked to order and delicious. On a few occasions the managers have stopped by to check on our meal and they, too, have been very professional and friendly. An all around positive experience! We'll be back soon!
Kevin was myServer and honestly he was one of the best servers I have had in a while. Not only because he was super nice & efficient -But I was literally so upset that day & He showed me so much compassion and it meant a lot. He’s a Great server and person!! Excellent service !
From the minute we walked in until we left everything was perfect. The hostess to sever to food runner...We very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing. Hot and fresh.
I have just finished my dinner from The Outback in Middletown. I used the App to order ToGo. The App is totally easy to use. I ordered and paid for it in 5 mins. It was ready on time and delivered by a lovely lady to my car within minutes of me texting them my car space number. The food was delicious and exactly what l ordered. I highly recommend The Outback.
I ordered door dash. At first I thought I ordered from the new Ocean location. After chatting with the manager at the Ocean location, I realized I did not order from there. He was awesome by the way. But this review is for Taylor specifically. At the Middletown location. Let me tell you. Taylor is the real deal. I called pissed off (no fault of anyone but mine) and Taylor was like "Oh hey, Andrew!" as though we were best friends. I adore her. She is awesome and having worked my entire life in a "customer service" related industry, she gets an A+. Thank you for hiring someone in 2025 who is still competent.
It's been a really long time since I've been to Outback, we spontaneously stopped at this one on our way to Red Bank. I'm glad we did, the food was awesome. We started with an appetizer of steak cheese dip which was really good. We then had the clam chowder. It was a very generous portion, had a slight kick but not too much, and was simply delicious. For dinner, we split the 22 oz porterhouse steak. The steak was great and exactly what a porterhouse should be. The staff were all very friendly and we had a very enjoyable dinner.

Great food, good staff. The place is very clean. Definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to come back
I love the atmosphere here. It's just a standard outback but it's also clean and has great food. You can't really go wrong.

Our server was Daniel and he was amazing. The food was really good and the whole experience will make us return in future.
Our server was wonderful but I feel like for the price of the food, quality isn't what it used to be. I ordered the potato soup and it was just...not good. I thought it might just be me so I asked my husband to try it (he'll eat anything) and he agreed. Did love the bloomin' onion chicken though.
I would give a rating of 4.5! We sat outside and the weather was perfect. Their outside dining area was wonderfully decorated with plants and trees. They had lounge chairs and a fireplace, which made the dining experience even better. The wait staff was very friendly also.
Service and atmosphere were excellent. Our server was a fantastic balance of attentive and not being overbearing. The atmosphere was excellent to have a conversation amongst friends. The food was acceptable.
Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly with enough space in between apps and our meals. The size of the cup of soup seemed smaller and was definitely not worth the $2 upcharge for a side. All of our steaks were done as we ordered them. Dessert was big enough to share!
What they picture the food to look like, is not what you get. The menu said 2 sides and choice of soup or salad and I was given 1 side and I chose salad. Our server, never came to ask us how we were doing. Refilled my nieces cup once she was finished......without asking.
The steak was pretty good—cooked perfectly to the medium-rare temperature I requested. While the pasta fell short and didn’t quite meet expectations, the steak is clearly the star of the menu. I’d definitely return, but I recommend focusing on what they do best: the steak and classic sides like the mac and cheese or baked potatoes.
The mac and cheese is spicy, not mommas recipe. It you like a mild spice heat in your Mac and cheese order this. The coconut shrimp is tasty. It's a little too heavy on the coating and a bit too much oil. Still, I recommend trying it. The shrimp dipping sauce is unique, something I wouldn't typically enjoy, yet I kept dipping. FYI, I hand a small plate for lunch, so it's short staffed employees but no one is sitting around. Everyone is paying attention to the clients. I had drinks so the price point is higher. For $15 you walk away happy.
Great food. Great service. Just don’t sit ANYWHERE near the take out door during the winter. That damn door is constantly opening and closing, and sometimes left opened to the point our children’s jaws are chattering. BRING YOUR COATS!!
The food is always good outback. My husband, I went there for dinner last night. Of course we have to start off with the blooming onion. That’s the main reason we go there. I ordered potato soup and the coconut shrimp that was an appetizer. Somewhere in the mix, my soup was forgotten about. I reminded the waitress of it and she bought it out very apologetically. My husband had salmon and he said it was delicious. They have a great drink menu. I had a. Pina koala. It was very good. Service was good in spite of the crowd.
Good local steakhouse very nice of them to offer veteran discounts. Obviously they do good steaks but they also do good salads. And the bar is pretty fun to sit at. Can't go wrong with a burger and a beer. Cheers!
Steak was cooked perfectly medium, the broccoli and mashed potatoes were good. I enjoyed the Ceasar salad.. the dressing was good and they give a lot of croutons which i like. Only thing I didn't care for is their French onion soup. For the price you pay it is awfully small and a little too acidic for me.
Not terrific food. AND NOT a good deal\nWe were somewhat disappointed in the food, as well as the prices .

This used to be one of my favorite places to go for a great meal. We haven't been in a while because what used to be a unique menu has become just like every other chain restaurant with little to set it apart. That's not a knock on how good the food is, just a comment on how bland the menu has become. We decided to give Outback another try recently and we were disappointed. We started off with the Blooming Onion/Cheese Fries combination and the fries were OK but the onion was overcooked and not very fresh. The bread and salads that came with our food were one of the best parts of the meal. The fresh bread was delicious and the salads were fresh as always. Our steaks were well cooked and tasty but when you charge $23 for prime rib you need to have larger portions. I understand beef is expensive but this was not worth it. In addition the anemic side of mashed potatoes was almost an insult for the price of the meal. Our server was friendly and took care of all of our needs throughout our meal. The service here has always been great. I do love a good steak and in that respect I was satisfied. Unfortunately, Outback's prices have gone up while their portions have gotten smaller. This is a problem because there are plenty of other places that serve steak just as good, have better menus and cheaper prices.
Been coming here for years with family and friends. Only 3 stars because food can either be extremely good or extremely bad. Staff is super sweet but sometimes really slow. They’re very good with handling complaints, always make sure to give you coupons and discounts on meal when not satisfied. Would go back but just be prepared for the Russian roulette of how your food is going to be! 👍🏼
Food was relatively mediocre not good not bad just fine. Service was respectable, especially during a very busy evening. Overall no complaints about a franchise business such as this. You go with the intent in knowing that you are eating a meal that is standardized. You don't expect to be wowed but you expect the consistency of previous meals there. And the restaurant does meet that metric they don't stray from what they do and continue to provide consistency
We had dinner at the Outback in Middletown NJ. The atmosphere is plain and boring. No decorations for the holidays. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin steak, with no spices and medium. ($17.99)I got the mashed potatoes which were good. Half of my steak was okay, the other half was tough and could not cut it.I told the waiter and he said he would get me another one. I got another steak and it looked like a better cut, along with to-go container . I ate a piece and it has the horrible seasoning on it. I couldn't eat it. I told the waiter and he apologized. He gave us the check and it included the steak . I said that maybe you could comp the steak. He didn't look happy about it, but he did get it taken off and I was happy about that. My boyfriend got grilled shrimp and steak over fettuccine Alfredo.($26.99) He didn't like his either, but ate it. The shrimp were overly seasoned and the steak a little tough. Our waiter was good. I don't see why this place gets so busy. We will never go back there again. ..
We had a great waitress and got the bloomin onion which is always amazing. However I got the steak 13.99 steak tonight which was small, which is fine, but it was over cooked and not very flavorful. I had asked for medium rear and got next to no red at all. To make up for it though, the loaded mashed potato was Delicious, hope they can work out the steak issue.
Service was great but for the price the food was nowhere near what it should have been. With prices constantly increasing and it being harder to just enjoy a night out you're better off just spending more and going to a nice steakhouse.
I'll admit, we don't eat at Outback Steakhouse very often. It's not that it's a bad steakhouse -- it's just not a good one. It's a franchise -- a fast-food version of what a good steakhouse should be. We were reminded of all that as we visited the Middletown location last evening. We arrived early for dinner knowing how crowded this place can get (we pass it all the time), and used the waiting list option which worked well, though unnecessary for our 4 pm arrival. We started with a bloomin onion, which I quietly protested but my girlfriend wanted to try. After she ordered it, I warned her that it was highly unhealthy which was quite evident once we started eating it. So much grease on the plate along with an overload of sodium. We ate a quarter of it before pushing it aside, realizing this was not edible worthy. Next, we both received sirloin steak combinations. Mine came with the Alice Springs Chicken, and my girlfriend's steak came with coconut shrimp. We both also opted for a loaded potato on the side. The steak was decent. Everything else tasted way too salty... ...and this is the problem with Outback. Everything is bathed in salt. Even the loaded potato is coated in salt. It's the first thing I taste when I bite into my chicken as well as my girlfriend's coconut shrimp. I can't specifically blame this location for the quality of the food -- it's indicative of the franchise. However, as we loaded up on sodium while listening to the screaming kids who were placed in the booth behind us, I felt that perhaps next time I'll spend more money to eat at a proper steakhouse that cares about properly seasoning their food rather than catering to the masses. The service was good. We were warmly greeted as we walked in and our waitress was very nice. Our bill came to a little over $80 for both our meals and sodas, which was less than half the price we would have paid at a reputable steakhouse.
The first two times we ordered we are the steak and ordered it medium it was well done when we got it the third time we ordered off the same menu and we were not allowed to order what we had ordered before and because I was having to call I had no way of saving my orders and we got hamburgers and the hamburger was too salty and it was dry as hell
Food is ok, service is ok. The bartenders are great. Hire more sociable hostesses. Everytime we go they stare at us like deer in headlights. The customer shouldn't have to start up the conversation just to be sat. Also, dont even bother asking to sit outside on a nice day, they always make something up on why theyre not doing outdoor seating. Last time we were told “its too hot out for the waitresses” it was 71 degrees out.
Server was really good and prompt and actually quite nice. Food was meh at best, we barely touched it. It’s very obvious that everything is frozen and reheated. Atmosphere was a bit dated. Don’t know if i’ll return especially at the prices they charge.
I've never been to Outback Steakhouse, and I was surprised at the delicious food they had to offer. The only thing I do have to say is that the filet 6oz steak, wasn't worth the $40. I've been to many steak houses and feel as if I have a pretty good idea as to what steaks are worth for that amount of money. For my family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 toddler) drinks and appetizers, our bill came out to about $176 l've been to many restaurants and I just didn't think this was all worth the price. The service was great though! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.

Food went way downhill. Steak is either gamey or sour last two visits. Salad isn't cold, Caesar dressing changed. Potato soup is still good but saltier. And ready for this... they deep fry their Brussel Sprouts! Save your money or go to a non chain that has good steak.
I had a Hamburger I wasn't good at . And the french fries with not good.. I went for lunch .. but maybe someone else will have a better time
I had in the past always been very happy with the steak and service at this restaurant. today my medium steak was overcooked and I was told to then order a medium rare one. my friend order her shrimp without seasoning and it came very seasoned. on a good note, they accepted my $10 off coupon that was in an email I had for the dining rewards program. I went one more time after that time and again the customer service was awful.
Went there for dinner last night w my family. It was an absolute mess. The server was slow. They had her doing vacuuming cleaning tables and everything else. It took us 10 min to get water. My special needs daughter ordered prime rib which she was told 15 min later was sold out in the kitchen and she couldn’t get so she had to settle for something else. My order when it came out was totally wrong. The whole experience was a mess and management really needs to communicate and step up. Needless to say I don’t know if I would ever experience that again.
This one stings a bit for me because im not one to write badly about anything however, things need to be said considering its mostly about the food. I took my kids here and if my 5 year old is saying something is wrong and I have to taste test it to verify, than its hard to ignore. Food wasn't great, the timing between appetizers and entre was about 60min which to me is not acceptable. Service was very slow to get back on a not so busy time of day and, the quality of the food was below average to be fair. For context I ordered a ribeye it came out sloppy, no sear, terrible cut of meat, hard fat not rendered at all. The sauces tasted like they were left out for weeks in the sun than put back in the fridge. Wont be going back unfortunately.
Been here for a big family dinner last night. The server was kind and frequently checked the table. As it was really crowded, the serving was kind of slow. We were seated around at 7 :30 but food started to come out at 9 pm, which was understandable. Chilie was good, Shrimp and steak pasta couldn't be wrong, however, the prime rib was VERY SALTY😫. The moment I had a sliced piece, I realized my pancreas will definitely have a rough night until it gets finally digested. Not only my prime rib, another family member who ordered bone in prime rib also got the SALTY rib. I can't believe the signiture menu was covered with a handful of salt. Without a doubt, I couldn't finish my meal. I highly suggest the manager and whoever responsible for steak seasoning to try your steak. You will be embarrassed.
I’ve been an Outback fan since I was a teenager. Tonight’s diner was one of the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Everything was extremely over salted. Our waiter was great though. Very friendly and easygoing. Price wise it’s still not a bad place but the quality of food was atrocious. I don’t think I would go to an Outback ever again.

My disappointment cannot be expressed fully. Lately the prices have skyrocketed and the portions have decreased substantially. Paid $9 for half a cup of chili. To be clear I purchased the bowl I stead of the cup which is supposed to be more. Congratulations Outback you just lost a lifetime consumer. Exponential rip off.
The waiter Joey was rude when we ask him to change the plate with fingerprints on it. He even argued with us that's there's no fingerprints on the plate when it clearly shows in the video I took. I have to call the manager because of the rudeness of this server banging the plates in front of us. The lady who replaced him was so nice and respectful which is a 5 star rating for us. My 1 star review is for this rude server Joey who doesn't belong to this kind of business.
My steak looks like a steak bite, too small for a $30 dollares plate, my son 6 years old order a steak from the kids menu and came out so hot, why that much pepper in the kids food? i tried was horrible. They also doesn’t cook the steak in the open fire anymore. This place every day get worse. Sad!!!!
Low quality steaks we got two ribeyes 13oz of fat gross. If you want quality streak go to a real steakhouse this restaurant should be ashamed to come out with a fatty steak management said it was lazy cow inexcusable!
i’ve literally just picked up my food 15 minutes ago. It is ice cold not like cold off because of the ride like it had been sitting there for half hour before I picked it up. I got an iceberg wedge salad that literally has two crumbles of blue cheese, two flakes of bacon one slice a piece of an onion and two cherry tomatoes i wish i got mc donald’s
We ate today at the middletown store today 3/21/35 and had steak and lobster. I was very disappointed to find out that our twin lobsters were undercooked. I had already eaten one of them when I realized the mistake it was.. It was hrought to their attention and they gave my wife one lobster tails to take home, but it was so unappealing that we were not able to finish our dinner Nothing worse than Eating raw lobster tails. I guess from now on when we eat there, we’re gonna have to check the food when they serve it!!!!!
Sat down for over 20 minutes and asked for a server to come by twice and was ignored. Never ended up eating here.
We frequent this location. Last night was horrible. Prime rib served cold. Caesar salad was days old, old fryer oil was dripping off the bloomin onion and to end the meal the Cheesecake was dry. Just not good anymore.
Update: Went to website and explained what happened. No response. I suggest you go elsewhere Don’t bother. The decor was nice and inviting. That all ended with dinner. The food was horrible. My steak with coconut shrimp was nauseating. The shrimp was not fresh. It tasted like it was frozen for months had panko breadcrumbs to look like coconut and deep fried. Mine were burnt. My steak was half the size of my tv remote. And to top it off we had gnats flying around the table. I didn’t blame the couple behind us for getting up and leaving. Won’t be returning.
If I could give no stars I would. I myself am a food manager and the way that management (Samantha) treats the customers here is absolutely disgusting. I got my food and the steak was no good and smelled like feet and was slimy and obviously way out of code. I sent it back and said no thank you for anything else as I was disgusted already. And the waitress said I will have the manager take it off. By the way I wanna add the waitress was actually amazing she was the only good thing there. So no entrées were consumed, as we did not any longer want any of this old food. We only ate the soups, the front of the house manager ignored us the whole time walking through the whole restaurant never once came over saying sorry or introducing herself after such a big mess up, I then tried to find her and she kept walking away. So I decided after I left the restaurant to call her and ask her as one food manager to another why would she not come to my table or acknowledge me. And she should have comp the food as I would do for any customer at my store she made us pay for the soups. And all she can say to me was I took the meal off for you. And I said yeah I’d would hope it was food out of code. Then she follows up with a ok and that’s it not even I’m so sorry about that or anything I then told her she needs customer training because this is not how you handle serving rotten food to a customer she says I’m sorry you feel that way and ok… I am appalled with this type of manager to run a food service. A customer safety and hard earned money should be a priority. Sad sad sad service and I will definitely never return or let friends and family go as well …
Had a terrible experience a few months ago. Left a yelp review and Outback asked me to message their guest relations or corporate office (take your pick). Did that (twice) never received a reply back from them. Don’t waste your time with this location or outback in general. This place serves undercooked food, argues that it isn’t undercooked and then says it’s “their version” of the way you asked for your food to be cooked. Imagine asking for a well done burger…it’s pink.. and they say “oh well that’s our version of well done”. Waste of time and their corporate response is also a waste of time.
Ordered a med/rare steak .. it comes out raw lol. Waitress ( older white woman.. who is usually not very pleasant but has been there forever) says well it’s the larger portion steak so that’s why …mmm what ??? Like no apology just tried to blame it on a larger size filet …. Steak comes back and it’s a charcoal briquette…. Instead of making a new one they just put the two pieces together and tried to cook it more but that just dried it out and over cooked it Crazy they had the nerve to serve it. Zero quality concern by kitchen or management. I didn’t eat it. Waitress comes back and says she saw I wasn’t eating it …hahaha. Again terrible hospitality. So when I said I would just have it taken off check she than offers to have a new one made classic I said why wouldn’t they do they originally…her response was they just try to cook it more first .. I mean at least she is honest .. but that’s poor management.. Good thing there are not many options in this area for mid level dining or this place would be gone. Terrible service and zero hospitality maybe train your management and staff better
Not sure what’s happened in the kitchen lately, but my last few takeout orders have been consistently disappointing. The food has progressively gotten worse, no real flavor or seasoning at all. The “seasoned rice” is especially misleading; it’s just bland rice swimming in oil with no seasoning to speak of. Unfortunately, due to the poor quality and lack of flavor, I won’t be returning.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided at the Outback Edgewater on the evening of December 16th at 8:00 PM. We were seated for five individuals, including two children. We placed our orders, and after an hour, our meal did not arrive. I politely requested to speak with the manager, who emerged from the kitchen and engaged in an unprofessional and rude exchange with me, asserting that the entire restaurant was experiencing similar delays. Subsequently, she inquired whether I desired the meal. This incident is not an isolated occurrence at this Outback unit. The manager’s inability to resolve issues and confront paying customers is a recurring problem. As a long-standing Outback customer for two decades, I have encountered only a few instances of such subpar service and experience. In those instances, we opted to leave the restaurant without our meals. Regrettably, this is the second time in less than two months that my food has taken over an hour to arrive at this restaurant. The previous instance occurred even after I had lost my appetite, as the appetizer and salad were served before I had requested the main course. Unfortunately, I am unable to return to this restaurant in the future.
