Stopped in here last minute during a road trip, based on google reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was really good, and large portions. The service was like a well trained Nascar pit crew; quick and efficient.

Excellent food, large portions, good price and respectful staff. Lots of parking. Ordered sushi, fried rice and sweet and sour. No complaints. Will return again, top tier Chinese food.

The staffs are very nice and friendly, great service. I ordered a sushi party boat, fish are fresh. Also ordered lomein, ribs, Mapo tofu, fried chicken with French fries, and hot & sour soup. All the dishes are great, specially the hot & sour soup is tasty. I recommended this place to everyone. I will definitely return if I am around the area.

Came here to end a long week of hard work, first thing I ordered was a zombie and I fell in love. This place has the best sushi, best tea, best drinks, and the best service. I suggest anyone to come here. Screw the rating system, this place deserves more than 5 stars.

One of, if not the best Chinese restaurant in the Middletown, NY area. We frequently take out from them! The bone-in spare ribs are the best! Definitely give them a try for take out or eat-in!

You You is a classic Chinese sit-down restaurant that you don’t see much of anymore. The menu is extensive, the food good and reasonably priced. It’s totally unpretentious and a great place for Chinese comfort food. (There is also a sushi bar for those so inclined.)

All I can say is they have the best pork lo mein I've ever had in a Chinese restaurant. You can ask for extra pork for an additional price and it is well worth it. Nice large portions. Our server was a very nice man who took the extra steps to help my mother .

You You was amazing as always! It felt so great to get a sense of normalcy by going to my favorite restaurant. Sushi was super fresh! And the restaurant was set up appropriately for social distancing. Support your local businesses!!!

Went for drinks and dinner. The bartender was entertaining and friendly. Was very specific with how I wanted a certain dish made, they nailed it perfectly. Prices for food and drinks where modest. The interior of the place was also better than expected.

Excellent! Authentic Chinese food. The service is excellent, you get a kettle of tea, wonton noodles with dipping sauces, and you can get Saki. Best Chinese restaurant in Middletown.

We got here later in the night, tired and soaked from a rainstorm. The food was so great and the servers were so kind, especially considering we were dressed unusually as we were coming home from a Renaissance festival. I 100% recommend this place, we live 2 hours away but will be making the trip just to eat here again.

Me and my daughters went to YOU YOU yesterday to celebrate one of my daughters b-day. WOW what an experience. From start to finish. We were greeted with a very welcoming Hello. Before we decided on staying we ask to see a menu. Gladly the person that greeted us gave each of us the dine in menu to view. Once we decided to stay we were seated immediately. The food was great and the service was even better. The atmosphere so inviting. Our waiter was funny and charming. Our waiter and staff helped me to surprise my daughter with her b-day cake and also joined in with the singing. The restaurant is beautiful. Love this place and will come back again and again.

Probably the best Chinese I have ever had. The drinks are nice and strong (they also will adjust to your needs) and very affordable in comparison to the competition. The service is great and they clearly aim to please. 10 out of 10 and I definitely would recommend.

You You is simply the best! I live over 45 minutes away from this restaurant and will go nowhere else for Chinese cuisine! The staff are amazing (especially our favorite waiter Jason), the owners Francine, Louis and their son make you feel son make you feel so appreciated and welcome in their restaurant. Our visit always starts in the bar for a traditional drink - Zombies (did I mention how amazing the drinks are?!) then off to a nice table for a most delicious dinner! You You is modern, yet keeps so many traditions of an older type Chinese restaurant. You You will always be my number one destination!

You Yous is the best Asian cuisine place in this area. Ricky and Kenny are amazing. They both make sure they customers leave happy and satisfied. They also serve the best drinks hands down. Always a good time when I come here.

Presentation was beautiful. One entree was large enough to share for 2 adults. We also had an appetizer and soup. Prices were very reasonable. Able to get a refill for our soda. Would recommend it highly. Will return if have the opportunity as we are traveling.

You you has unique food it's more Superior than most Chinese takeout which is the quick takeout this is more of a sitting and dine-in and enjoy type of dinner. If you like exotic drinks this is the place to go just make sure you have a designated driver because their drinks are excellent. Prices are very reasonable and staff is very nice and friendly and very attentive.

Enjoyed our meal. Seats were not the most comfortable, but overall I had no complaints. Waiter was very friendly. Food portions were generous, and the fried rice was authentic and delicious. Food prices were reasonable.

First time at You You. I was pleasantly surprised at the exceptional service. The food was fresh and delicious.. the lunch special is the best deal. Big portions. Asthetically pleasing on the inside. Will definitely return. The only negative, the outside could be updated. This is why I kept passing by. Enjoy

This is our favorite restaurant. We go here every week as well as every birthday and anniversary. The food is great and the owners and staff are warm and welcoming. It is truly our "happy place " The spare ribs are spectacular. We also love the orange beef and General Tsos chicken. On the drink side, you haven't lived until you've tried the flaming scorpion bowl for 2. Go once and you will keep coming back!

I always enjoy myself at You You. The drinks are absolutely amazing. They never disappoint me. Never. Come and visit for yourself. I told them about a drink I had in the city called “Butter drink”, and Rickey made it spot on. XoX Other than this new drink that was made that I called it “Off the Menu”; I always enjoy the “Zombie drink and “Hennessy piña colada”.

This place was amazing🤩! As soon as we got there the employees welcomed us and sat us down immediately. They were very kind to us the whole time, and the service was very fast. I really enjoyed my food, and the bill came out to be a little more than an average fast food bill, but with much bigger portions, and much tastier food.

I love you you! I love the atmosphere of being able to sit in a beautiful Chinese restaurant with tea, crispy noodles and two sauces. The service is wonderful and the food is spectacular. You get a nice big portion with plenty to take home and the price is super reasonable,. I think it’s the best Chinese food around.

I am a former NYC resident and lived over 40 years just blocks away from NYC's Chinatown. I have also eaten Chinese food an average of once a week for the past 60 years. When I moved to the Orange / Sullivan County area 20 years ago ,one of my biggest regrets was the poor quality of Chinese food in the area,, that was until I found YouYou. Their food is the closest I've found to Chinatown or the many excellent Chinese restaurants in Brooklyn or Queens. While not perfect, most of the dishes I've tried there are very good. The service for dine in is also very good. The inside can use an update but everything looks clean. They definitely need new tables though as I don't like the feel of the varnish on the tables they have now and some of the booths are starting to show that age. They are about 20 miles away from me but worth the drive. I'm tired of throwing other Chinese food away, at least I know YouYou is worth my time and money.

J
Jodie Vandemark Aracci

I have not been to this location in over 30 years. It was Hawaii Fountain at that time. I was very pleased with the updates it is much brighter inside. The food was good, but the portion was smaller than expected. The waiter was very attentive.

Best Generals Tso Chicken ive had in a long long time, cripy, yet juicy, jus the right amount of spicy, all other food was good too,,,,,im not reall a rice eater but this rice wasx excellent, good egg rolls, everything was delish ,,family thought it was good too ..staff was very nice ,

We usually go for their lunch specials which are very reasonable. Good selection and food is presented well and very tasty. We've also tried their Japanese and enjoyed that as well. There are very few sit-down Chinese restaurants in Orange County so its nice to be able to be served and enjoy a good meal.

Drive passed this place often. Not anymore! Seated immediately. Great waiter! Try the Hawaiian Paradise...delicious...huge! We had the Hot and Sour Soup, Shrimp Rolls, Seaweed Salad and General Tso's Shrimp...delicious! Big portions! Great price! We will be back!!! Thank you!!!

Staff was friendly, efficient and caring. Food was very flavorful. Prices seemed very reasonable for the variety and size of plating. Sushi was nice thick slices! Not thin sliced like some places. Definitely, a place to return wether alone or with family and friends.

In a time where a lot of Chinese food is take out only, It's nice to see a sit down Chinese restaurant available. In recent years, they've changed over their menu to include sushi and other non-Chinese Asian dishes. Going here brings up fond memories of my childhood and sharing meals with my family at the local Chinese restaurant. All my favorites dishes are here and done well.

C
Carlos P.

Always a great time when l come. I Usually come for drinks (Zombies and Scorpions to be exact) and occasionally I'll have something to eat as well. Since I've cut all meat except fish from my diet for the next few months, they have a variety of seafood and vegetable dishes. One or two Zombies in your system will do you good! Kenny the bartender there is great! Nice with awesome customer service as well as the rest of the staff. Plus the environment always has interesting and different people you'll meet while sitting at the bar. Overall, not a 5 star restaurant but a Middletown gem thats been around for years!

M

Food was good; service? Not so much. We came here for lunch for a quick bite. We ordered General Tso’s and Sashimi regular. I asked the waiter to substitute rice with cucumbers instead. There must be a miscommunication in between, long story short, I got charged for the cucumber slices on the side.

Friendly Staff! The food came out fast, and was pretty good. Wanted to try different drinks instead of getting my regular Long Island Ice Tea. We tried the Scorpion, and Mai Tai. Very disappointing, nasty after taste. The drinks didn't taste good at all, and I would never order these two drinks again. Stick with what you know.

I’ve eaten here more times than I can count. Food used to be better but the management is nice. The fried rice there has fallen way off and I have since gone else where seeking my Chinese food. I will eventually go back but they need to fix and update some things.

A
Andrew Ragland

Service was pretty good, although they got the dessert order wrong. Food quality was okay. The chicken Szechuan style was reasonably spicy and prepared well. The general Tso chicken was average, with an overly thickened sauce. Sesame chicken was a loser, bland and drowned in an overly sweet thick sauce that left the breading soggy. The spring roll tasted like it had been in the freezer too long.

C
Cherity

We went on mother's day so we knew it would be busy and were willing to wait. Food was great!! The service however was not. The waiter came fairly quickly and got our drinks. We then waited a while before he came back to get our food order. I waited 15 minutes for small garden salad. It was almost 40 minutes later before our entrees arrived. My husband's was barely warm but other dish was steaming hot. Other tables came and went. They had great service. I would go again.

M
Mathew Hall

Our experience was not plain awful, but it may be a while before returning. Average Chinese restaurant for dine in. Most of the food we ordered was incredibly average, like Chinese takeout, but then again the prices were not that crazy either. It took a long time for the food to come, took a long time to get refills on drinks.

T
TIGER

Fairly tasty food with good portion considering the price and given the lack of good Asian food restaurants in Middletown. However, I have stopped going there because of the musky smell of the carpet floor which I really found it quite disguesting and lost my appetite to eat when looking down on the floor, especially near high traffic areas next to the seating table. I kept wondering every visit what the original "red" color of the carpet floor was. Perhaps the kitchen and everything else are super clean, I just couldn't get over the dingy and dirty dark carpet floor!

N
Natasha Blas

The service was great. The sauce from the dish my son and I had was super thick and sticky. Also, my husband said his food was more salty than it should have been. Other than that, everything was good.

M
Margie Liebla

The sushi here is very dimsum-y. Less Japanese-style healthy veggies and more fried foods and mayonnaise. One of the sauces definitely had a Miracle Whip base (yuck).

L
Leon Rofer

The food is always very good and that is why I go back. Unfortunately for years the restaurant is not overall clean. Rugs need cleaning, chairs need to be dusted, etc. It's very sad that management does not care. I brought it to their attention in the past, but nothing has ever been done. Update: I went back a few times now, and cleanliness seemed to have improved visibly. The food is still good and the service is good.

C

Extensive menu with decent food. Friendly staff providing good service. I look forward to experiencing this restaurant again upon returning to the area.

We have eaten here often & loved the food & service. With reservations on Christmas Day we were served our warm food 2 hours after ordering. The walls were covered with food droppings. They had no forks so we were offered spoons. I know it was a holiday & of course delays are expected, but 2 hours was ridiculous! I’m guessing take out customers were favored as we watched many guests walk out.

j
john estrada

Wow, havent been here since it was Hawaiian fountain..was so much better then. I ordered the garlic scallops and veggies.... the scallops were smaller then a quarter, there was only 8 and Ithey taste like they were one day past their time. The whole dish was ruined. I took nothing home. My grandaughter got the chicken and shrimp combo. Decent size shrimp, but just 2 came with order. The chicken was good and the egg roll was tasty, according to my granddaughter. The dumplings were actually really good, same with crab ragoons. Plenty of stuff in wanton One whole area restaurant was closed. For quite some time by the looks of it.

Six years ago I wrote, "Best Chinese food in Orange County, period." This unfortunately is no longer true. Not by a long-shot and I cannot imagine going back. You You used to have the best Pork Dim Sum in the Region and now it yearns for flavor, what an incredible disappointment. The chicken wings are now breaded and are missing the great flavor they once had. Chicken in the Mai Fun was dry and flavorless. Worst of all, the shrimp toast. You You's shrimp toast used to be fantastic, now it has no flavor and more grease than can be described. The only saving grace was the BBQ Ribs (with bone), they were very good . . . but not good enough to bring us back. Ownership changed a couple years ago and evidently not for the better. What a shame and it seems our great memories of a solid fare are disrespected and replaced with pedestrian effort.

A

Kind of a weird place. I went a few months ago during a not busy time. The waiter kept walking back and forth and watching us while we ate which was pretty weird. Our seats were ripped and the place honestly seemed very uninviting. The sesame chicken wasn’t that good but in general the food was fine. Maybe it was just an off time that we went but the place is pretty weird and I don’t like being watched while I eat so I won’t be going back.

l
lynnette butler

Was excited to come back here after so many years of not visiting but was disappointed. It was just average Chinese food, nothing really spectacular. We were brought cold burnt fried rice and to top it if our waiter was rude and rushed us. On a positive note there was a very nice young man who made everything right, brought hot fresh food and was kind and the drinks were very strong and tasty.

I have lived in the area my whole life.Back then the only thing on 211was the Hawaiian Fountain and The orange county mall and Arthur Treachers.they had the nice vibe with the music and tiki bar.today it's a bad food, gang banger hangout on the weekend.the new owners ruined the place.they changed the portions and the quality to keep up with losses.i respect the previous management, they were good friends. And also the manager is disrespectful and full of himself.Bathrooms are dirty and smelly

Been coming here for a very long time. They always had the best Chinese mustard anywhere. This last time I ordered take out with 3 homemade mustards. When I got home and used 1 of them I noticed that it was very different. Waterd down and not the kick that it normally had for all these years. Very disappointed. Why would you change that. Please go back to the best, not the worst

P
Paul Blart

Spent $80 on take out. Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Chicken was over cooked, the rice is old, ribs were rubber. I had stomach issues for almost a week after eating the food. Wish more people would leave honest ratings so others don’t spent their money on garbage.

C
Cassidy DeGregorio-Forkin

Excellent waiter, horrible management. We had spicy tuna rolls that we couldn't even eat because of the fishy smell and awful taste. We told our waiter and they agreed to switch the order but the owner felt it was necessary to come over to our table and lecture us on how the tuna was fine and we were wrong. I am not picky and I've never turned down a sushi roll until then, that fish was rotting. Other food was fine, nothing special. I'll never go back and I would never recommend it.

L
Luis Rivera Escobar

Was at restaurant today, on a none busy night. Was treated like garbage. Bar tender wish was the owner was really rude and none attentive. My 3rd visit to restaurant and definitely my last. Would not recommend to anyone. I asked for check. And it was literally thrown to me. This may be because of my Latino status. I recommend all Latinos. Stay away.

J
Jessica Buchanan

Ordered sushi due to what looked like good reviews. There was nothing good about it. My Alaska roll had discolored salmon, 2 spider rolls that were flavorless, and an over cooke shrimp tempura roll. Total let down and would not recommend this place at all.

B
Brandon Spear

This is the worst service ever know to man I would never recommend this service or return

M
Marc Couture

Worst service I have ever had. Food was good, but got appetizers quickly and then waited over an hour for meals. Finally I told the waiter to box it up as I had a 2 hour ride home still. If I had known what bad service this place has I would never have stopped. The owner didn't care, just wanted her money. They don't deserve any business at all. Poor service and poor attitude.

E
Elexus Fulton

The shrimp roll was burnt and these grease was disgusting. I look forward to my shrimp rolls so the fact that I got 2 and took 1 bite and threw the both away says a lot. I got a plain lo mein that I had to dr up myself in a frying pan in my kitchen to make it taste good. The chicken and broccoli I guess was ok but I mixed it in with the lo mein I had to dr. I spent over $25 for food I didn’t even like or had to fix. For all of that I might as well had stayed home and cooked on a Friday night 🙄

M
Mike Murphy

Had to give 1 star to post this. Have not been here in many years and was excited to try it again. Wanted so bad to like this restaurant, but it was just awful. Similar to other reviews. The fried rice was burnt, actually black in some parts. Tasted terrible. Egg drop soup was badly watered down and tasteless. Wifes General Tso chicken was very, very, very spicy, to the point of inedible after couple bites. Just a bad experience and we will never return.

My family and I have gone to You You 2-3 times a year for many years (at least a decade or so). The food started off as great (the best Chinese food in the area), about 5 years ago it dropped to good, a year or so to OK and now to bad. I ordered the Chef Specialty Szechwan chicken. It was a big shinny (MSG?) portion. It arrived lukewarm, was bland (no spice), and one of the few bites I took was so awful that I spit it out. I returned 95% of the meal, received a full refund, and left hungry. I have only returned a meal one or two times before in my life. I am sad that our once favorite restaurant has fallen so far. You You, please fix yourself! The restaurant itself is a bit worn but clean. Service is friendly and fast.

A
Ashley

I went to dinner with my daughter and mother, we asked if we can order a small portion of lo mein for my 2 year old and the waiter gave us a hard time. We ended up having to order $15 worth and a massive plate for her. The sushi was absolutely disgusting and tasted sour. When I approached waiter about how it didn’t taste good ( after not touching the roll) he told me “ that’s the way it tastes” no refund nothing. Disgusted will not go here again. Waiter is rude ( server #7) Place is dirty.

R
R. VanDeMark

I can’t even comment on the food because I didn’t get that far. My husband and I walked into the place, the decor was not very inviting and the woman at the desk was not very nice. She just said wait. I have to clean the table. They were short staffed and so we were waiting a long time and we left.

L
Luke Oh

I ordered Szechuan-style chicken and the mapo tofu, but neither of them had the actual ma la falvor, even though I ordered the spiciest option. Very disappointed.

A

Extremely Disrespectful and Unsafe Experience I wish I could give this place less than one star. I’ve been here several times before with my daughters, but this last visit was extremely upsetting. While we were quietly talking and my youngest was sitting at the table, a white man approached us aggressively, telling me to “keep my kids quiet” because he was on a date with his wife. We were not being loud at all—there were other people in the restaurant, and even the TV was louder than we were. I reported the situation to management, hoping for support or at least acknowledgment. Instead, they laughed it off and continued serving the man like nothing happened. It felt like they sided with him because he was a regular customer—and frankly, because he was white. They said nothing to him and acted like I was the problem. As a Black woman/Hispanic , this made me and my daughters feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. My daughters and I felt uncomfortable, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. We choose to leave !!! . I kept thinking how different things might have gone if my husband had been there. It’s scary and frustrating to be treated like your presence is a problem—especially when you’re doing absolutely nothing wrong. This place clearly treats people differently based on race or background It’s clear that if you’re Black or Hispanic, you’re not treated with the same respect here. The staff’s fake smiles don’t cover the bias and disregard they showed us. I will not be returning, and I caution others—especially families of color—to be very aware before visiting this establishment.

I called up the owner of the Chinese restaurant. I told my order was a large combination. It was a very small portion in my combination. I asked him if they’re gonna fix it for me. They said no I could bring it back. I explained it to her. I’m home and I’m not leaving there so she don’t wanna do nothing to fix the situation. The worst place ever food sucks. Not a good place to eat. Recommend other places to go not good people they only care about the dollar.

We have always loved our meals there! The food delivered by Door Dash, however, was beyond disgusting and inedible. The Teriyaki Chicken was drowning in liquid which spilled all over everything. The Miso Soup was a creamy mess!

Waited 2 hours to get our meals. Watched multiple tables leave because of the wait. We asked for utensils and got spoons. Servers were wearing slippers and on their phones while cleaning tables. This place is a complete joke!

I was a regular at the Hawaii fountain and also a regular at you you when they first took over the business. Years ago food and service were good and they strived to make you happy. Present day not so much, I was there a couple weeks ago and the woman up front was nasty to me and my son and the food was terrible. Today on Christmas I made the mistake of going back because I was by myself and thought it was the only place open. I sat at the bar and watched 2 different woman make drinks and did not even acknowledge me…..I waited 20 minutes and walked out. I went to Mr. Sushi and had an amazing meal. I’m sorry Lewis sometimes your long time customers must tell the truth because I know you ran it much better. Whoever is at the wheel should step aside and let someone save the place .

La Experiencia Gastronómica en You You Asian Cuisine
