Excellent airport. 15/20 mins to Milan central. Easy to use system and simple metro map.

Very pleasant, comfortable and surprisingly quiet airport. What's even better, it's on a subway line M4 some 20-30 min from the city center. BTW the restrooms are free, unlike those at the central train station.

Had a great experience both arriving and departing from Milan Linate. The connection into the city is exceptional with a subway taking you into the city center within 20-30min. The airport is comparably small so gates are easy to reach, security is fast as well (even at busy times) thanks to the CT Scanners.

It was my first time flying through Milano Linate Airport, and it genuinely exceeded expectations. The terminal is modern, beautifully renovated, and very well designed, with that unmistakable Italian balance between elegance and functionality. Everything feels clean, bright, and thoughtfully arranged. Despite its beauty, it’s also quite busy, especially during peak hours. Linate is a compact airport serving a large volume of passengers, so you do feel the movement—but the space is managed efficiently, and the flow is generally smooth. One thing to note: The bus connection to Milano Centrale is not as frequent or regular as you would hope, so you may need to wait longer than expected. If you’re on a tight schedule, consider checking timetables in advance or booking an alternative transfer. Features and strengths worth highlighting: • Beautiful architecture and interiors, recently modernized • Very close to Milan city (only 15–20 minutes from the center) • Compact layout, making it easy to navigate • Good selection of cafés and restaurants, surprisingly high quality for an airport this size • Luxury and local brand shops, with Italian products, fashion, and gourmet items • Fast security and check-in compared to larger airports • Clear signage in Italian and English • Bright, clean spaces that feel comfortable and safe • Efficient baggage claim, usually quick • Ride-share and taxi pickup areas well signposted • Business lounge options that offer a calm break from the busy terminal Verdict Milano Linate is a beautiful and convenient city airport, perfect for quick access to Milan. It’s stylish, clean, and well organized, though it can get busy and the bus frequency to Milano Centrale could definitely improve. Overall, an excellent experience and a great entry point into the city.

The airport isn’t very large, but it felt efficiently managed I think. Everything was clean and easy to move through, and overall I had a good experience. Another nice point is that you can get there from Milano Centrale in about 30 minutes, which makes it very convenient.

This is in my opinion the best airport in Europe. It’s a pleasure. Security screening efficient and no need to put everything in plastic bags and take out laptops. Also the restaurant is amazing and I mean Michelin level amazing. Lots of very good shops selling actually things you might want to buy.

Easy airport to use near Milan. Could have more machines to swift the passport scanning process.

It is embarrassing that airport management did not organize anything for connecting flights, even when the one comes from other place in Italy. Instead, passangers are sent outside, and then again to go through entire security - which itself is not a problem - but problem is crowd and it takes too much time. This is only fault of airport management which is either incompetent, or ignorant. This is a long-term problem which I see for more years, not only once. Otherwise, the airport is fine, because it is not big and it is well connected with local means of transport.

While disembarking was very quick, the mandatory route that forces passengers to walk through the shopping area before boarding isn’t very pleasant. I understand it might increase shopping rates, but most of the stores were empty anyway. It would be much better if we could reach the gate faster without that unnecessary detour.

This Milan Airport (LIN) was very convenient if you plan to stay close to the Metropolitan Downtown Shopping area or close to the Buenos Aires Shopping district. It is smaller than Malpansa (MXP), which is also further away from the Metro area. Baggage pick-up area can be a little confusing so be sure to look for your correct flight carousel before discovering you were standing in the wrong area the whole time! Also, have comfortable walking shoes on as parking is across the street and multiple levels. Cool airport overall!

Well designed airport. You don't have to walk much to get to the boarding gates, and security checks are pretty quick. I would give 5 stars if they had water fountains. By the way the boarder control is much quicker when done by humans rather than automatic machines, those machines are definitely not an improvement right now.

So far all my experiences in the 3 airports of Milan have always been pleasant. They have almost all the things needed for a flight. Linate is nothing wow but functioning quite ok. We parked for a lot of time but was not asked to move out. The airport staffs I encountered were all ok.

The airport interior is nice and quiet, providing a pleasant atmosphere. However, the boarding process was catastrophic and poorly managed

Clean aeroport easy to get to via M4 metro from Milan central or cordano. You have plenty of shop , restaurants, car hire and hotels

Nice and small airport. I reached many hours prior to my flights. Closer to the Milan city, there’s a good frequency of city bus available to and from airport. I like the interior design especially with plants it looks beautiful and i felt the good vibes. I only had a cabin bag so it quick. Security check-in was fast. All the staff were speaking English and were really nice to us. Good part of this airport is you can see a complete runway from your gate waiting area. You could see flights landing and taking off. Not so vegetarian food options but overall good airport.

Parking is convenient and lots of transit buses, but bag drop off was closed meaning a long queue and wait at check in. Security was however very quick and no queues which was very good. After that lots of choice for food drinks and shopping so overall not a bad experience at all. This was in August so we should expect it to be busy!

This might be Italy’s worst airport. It has a total of only 6 proper jet-bridges, yet attempts to handle significantly more air traffic. This most flights end up with a garbage bus ride. Even worse though was our bus dropped us off in the baggage claim arrivals area! This was intra-Schengen flight (Catania to Milan) and my next flight was to Paris so this was entirely pointless! I had to go through security again to get to my flight. I would hate to have a very tight connection at this poorly run and dysfunctional airport.

Just another airport designed to be a shopping mall. The good: very close to the city with an excellent transportation system. The bad: you need to book time in advance to pass a limited number of security checks and go through a long lane of shops, empty with the usual overpriced stuff. Incredible poor food experience, especially for Italy, with a long wait.
