Basara Washington Milano Reviews
If the service were to be given six stars, I'd give it a try: bravo, bravissimo, Redden, a truly skilled waiter. The food is top-notch, with oriental flavors, fresh fish, and amazing raw seafood. The tuna belly roll was fantastic! The wine list was well-stocked and the atmosphere was just right.

Absolutely fantastic food, service, and presentation. Some of the best Japanese food I’ve had anywhere, and the decor and ambiance was perfect. You really get what you pay for here. The only downside was severe mosquito problem near the pond in the (otherwise gorgeous) outdoor seating area. If you’re there for dinner, I recommend loads of mosquito repellent and eating inside or you might get eaten instead 😅
Very good.
Great place, great food and the lady manager is on the ball
The top
Great sushi in the city center of Milan with terrific service in a very clean, air conditioned restaurant. Definitely recommended!
Simply Simply Lovely
Best food. High-end place. Very nice staff.
Best sushy restaurant in Town
Good food. Overpriced
Unfortunately our experience wasn't particularly good, especially when we compared their service with the other Basara restaurant in Tortona zone, which my girlfriend and me really loved. We had to wait a lot for both somebody to show us our seats and the dishes. They also don't have a cocktail menu, yet, and what the barman proposed to us wasn't on the same level of the drinks that we enjoyed at the other establishment. Food is still top quality, no doubt, but trust me: book a table at the other Basara in Via Tortona, if you can: it's just a few blocks away and you'll get a better service.
I went to dinner there with my girlfriend. Unfortunately, my expectations were very high, and they were definitely not met. The worst thing about the service was the wait, especially the wait time: after the first course arrived fairly quickly (a tartare and two raw fish rolls), we waited an hour for the second course. It consisted of four nigiri and two gunkan. The waiter's excuse was that they had staff at home sick, which was causing problems in the kitchen. Despite this, dishes were delivered to other tables, even to people who arrived much later than us. Another note about the service: we asked for two glasses of Franciacorta. The waitress poured the first glass for my girlfriend, then moved on to mine, and since the bottle was empty, I ended up with half of what was poured for her. Obviously, it was never refilled with a new bottle (but I was charged in full). As for the food, there's not much to say... I expected something better, given the high prices. I found the quality to be similar to a regular all-you-can-eat, to be honest. The lobster roll was completely covered in sauce that masked all the flavors (the lobster was as if it weren't there), and the belly rolls stuffed with shrimp and sea bass tasted only of jalapeño (and two pieces smaller than a €28 nighiri... crazy, in my opinion). Total bill was €180 for two for four nighiri, two rolls, a tartare, two gunkan, two glasses, two rolls, and two bottles of water. We would have gladly ordered more, since we were still hungry. However, we didn't want to wait another hour to finish our dinner. The €20 discount as an apology for the wait was appreciated. I have no problem spending money on food, but I don't like spending that much when the overall experience isn't worth it, as in this case. Too bad, we won't be back.
All ruined when they insisted in charging us for dishes we did not have. Otherwise good sushi and service
