Each visit to Milano we have dined at Berbere twice! while it might sound crazy to do, in a city of amazing restaurnats, Berbere is a solid choice and amazing pizza - the best we have ever had in Italy. You cannot go wrong with any of the pizzas! Suggest skipping any of the Starters and just get an "starter pizza" as their are so many great choices. We have only ever gone to the Milano Isola location out of habit, but the Firenze location looked great and in a good lcoation so we were tempted - but had dinner plans already set each night in Firenze - next trip there we'll give that location a chance.

We went at this place yesterday, during the evening, going back from a concert, for having a drink… at first!… but the place, and, furthermore, the staff, were so welcoming, and making us feel confortable, that we finally stayed a little longer to eat!! Pizza was delicious, and so tasty! This place made our last evening, and our stay in Italy, ending on a high note : The perfect place at the perfect moment. Sad to go back in France, but so glad of the experience. You can go there with the eyes closed. Regarding us, we’ll go there again for our next venue in Milano! Thanks again to the staff! The pizzas were to die for! The costini with anchovies were also very good; the taste was very balanced. The tiramisu was okay, but it was definitely overshadowed by the gianduiotto Al pistachio, which was amazing.

Fantastic pizzas with a large variety of high quality flavors as well as 3 types of dough so you can choose the one you want and like. The natutal fermentation is a totally different flavor to others I've tried. Strongly recommended

Absolutely loved this place! Recommended by a friend for our trip to Milan. Got a shared platter of meat, olives and bread to start - would say it would be nice to have some oils/balsamic vinegar to go alone with this! Got three pizzas to share between us 3 - sausage with broccoli (our least favourite but still tasty nonetheless), spicy salami (my parents favourite), and the spinach with lemon (my personal favourite) - delicious! Shared cannoli and tiramisu with my mum, both were fantastic! The staff were all so friendly and the venue was very nice, and the atmosphere was great! 10/10!!

Came here with my husband and daughter, and we had a fabulous meal! We started with a shared platter of meat, olives, and bread. For our mains, we chose three pizzas (to share) - 1) sausage and brocoli, 2) spinach, olives, and parmigiano cheese and 3) "Devil" pizza, spicy salami. We rated the pizzas - number 3 the best, number 2 second and 1, was in last place. For dessert, my daughter and I shared a tiramisu and cannoli. Both lovely, but the tiramisu was best! We would highly recommend this establishment!!!!!!!!!

Great Naples style pizza dough made with sordough. As we did not read the menu carefully, we were surprised by the Bologna pizza made with mortadella and mashed potatoes. We did not reserve in advance, and the place was full on a Friday evening, but thanks to the friendly staff we were able to sit down for 1.5 hours.

Most important things first: this is an absolute pizza HEAVEN ! (hence the 5* rating) This is our 3rd visit to this place. We visited Berberè Isola earlier (pre-Covid times) and were keen on a re-visit to see if they were still doing well, serving those absolutely perfect (to our taste buds) pizzas. Be warned: without prior (online) reservation it is very unlikely that you'll get a table (especially on weekends and/or public holidays) during peak times. Let's summarize our 3 visits: The interior: we like the interior a lot. It is of a clean, minimalist type of interior design. Nice mural (of a local artist, if I am correct). Sorry, lovers of Italian kitsch, Italian flags, plastic flowers and pictures of Napoli, football crews etc.... you will be very disappointed here. It can get loud at times (especially when there are group tables arranged). Consider it part of the Berberè ambiance (or Italian experience in general). No Italian cliché background music either. As we visited there was a jazzy and relaxing series of music on (there is a link on the menu to see what's playing). The service: Berberè Isola seems to be the victim of it's own success. Due to the amount of hungry customers, this place can get very crowded at times. The young waiters have a tough job keeping up with all the orders and serving food (and keeping up the smiles). But, rest assured, it's worth the wait! The menu: Berberè Isola has a straight forward, mainly pizza oriented menu. You will be pleased to hear that there is a limited (but more than sufficient) variety of pizzas to choose from... so none of that nonsense of pages and pages of similar named pizzas, only differing in minor details. Drinks: there are no cocktails available (remember, they take their pizzas serious and not so much the drinks/cocktails). But there is a (short) wine, beer and soft drinks list. And they do affordable house wines. The pizzas... that pizza dough is HEAVEN!!!!... according to a short note on the menu, that dough has been given a 24h rest, before it went into the pizza oven. The toppings are all fresh (nothing out of a can). That pizza crust is to die for. I suggest the Berberè management to do pizza baking classes... I would immediately sign up! Price level: for good food (as this place offers), one should pay a fair price. I am sure there are cheaper places, but for Milano City this is VERY affordable.

Wonderful pizza! A different experience of Italian pizza with fresh organic dough and genuine Italian ingredients, all in a nice set up & a mid-century style Italian interiors. The pizzas are different from the classic everyday Italian pizza. The combination of the ingredients is just perfect. Totally worth it & the pizzas are reasonably priced.

Nearly perfect pizza. Slightly thicker than classic Neapolitan, but in a good way. Good dough, aged well, treated properly, simple tomato sauce, no fuss. Also, great olives, beer that goes well with pizza (selection of local and international bottled beers), focus on hops and anger asked. Very friendly staff. I liked that many of the staff spoke English, though that doesn't change the rating - in Italy after all. Negative - the plates were cold which meant the pizza cooled down too quickly.

Conosco bene la pizza di berberé perché è una delle mie preferite ma non ero mai stata nella sede di isola. Il locale è abbastanza grande, la sera però è molto caotico, noi eravamo un gruppo e siamo stati fuori. Servizio un po’ gentile e un po’ distratto e confuso (dipende dai ragazzi). Sulla pizza niente da dire, impasto con lievito madre fatto benissimo, croccante e consistente ma leggero e super digeribile, con un gusto rustico che io adoro. Gli ingredienti sono freschi e di qualità, io prendo sempre la pizza con le verdure e sono sempre fresche e buonissime. Siamo rimasti tutti molto soddisfatti dalla pizza. Per i dolci invece pareri contrastanti, non male ma alcuni niente di che. Abbiamo provato anche 2 salse per intingere i cornicioni, idea molto sfiziosa perfetta per chi lascia i bordi. Prezzi secondo me giusti per essere a Milano, comunque la pizza merita. Unica grande pecca se state fuori d’estate le zanzare vi massacrano

Anche nel quartiere Isola, a pochi passi della fermata della Linea Lilla della metro, è possibile degustare una pizza dall' impasto digeriibilissimo ottenuto attraverso la tecnica dell' idrolisi. Oltre alla fermentazione naturale si possono trovare impasti lievitati con lievito madre. Le pizze sono presenti in diverse varianti, da quella super piccante alla nduja, a quella in versione autunnale con funghi e gorgonzola, a quella con zucchine e burrata ....Sono tutte buone e ritornerete diverse volte per assaggiarle. Oltre che la sera dalle 19:00 alle 23:30 è possibile fermarsi in pausa pranzo dalle 12:30. Consiglio le insalate, in particolar modo la Cesar Salad. Si può concludere il pranzo o la cena con un buon dessert. Provate il tiramisù. Il personale è molto gentile e c' è un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Dopo aver letto della qualità di questa pizzeria, in zona isola, ho voluto provare di persona. Ho apprezzato la propsta preparata per pranzo a 10€. Il locale nella sua semplicità richiama un po’ gli anni passati ed evidenzia il valore del lievito madre scelto per la loro produzione. Il risultato è una pizza 🍕 più leggera e saporita, servita tagliata in spicchi. Materie prime di ottima fattura, cottura giusta.

Sono stato a provare la pizza presso questa pizzeria e devo dire che mi è piaciuta molto. Gli ingredienti erano freschi e di qualità, e la cottura della pizza era perfetta: la base era croccante ma non secca, mentre il condimento era distribuito in modo uniforme. Tuttavia, se siete alla ricerca di una vera pizza napoletana con il bordo alto, questa non è la scelta giusta per voi. La pizza qui è piatta e croccante, più simile alla pizza romana o alla pizza alla pala. In generale, consiglio questa pizzeria a chiunque ami la pizza gustosa e ben cotta, ma se siete alla ricerca di un'esperienza di pizza napoletana autentica, dovreste cercare altrove.

Sono molto affezionata a Berberè. Infatti, quando decido di andare a mangiare una buona pizza scelgo sempre questo locale e cerco sempre di consigliarlo a tutti. Sarà l'amore per la Calabria :) Rispetto agli altri due locali che frequento spesso a Milano, quello di Isola mi è sembrato più caotico ( sabato sera quindi ci sta, anche se la disposizione dei tavoli andrebbe gestita diversamente) e la qualità della pizza "ni". La mia è arrivata un pò bruciacchiata e anche altri tavoli hanno avuto lo stesso servizio. Rimane COMUNQUE il mio locale del cuore.

This pizzeria makes a pizza which, for several years in a line, was listed among the "50 Top Pizza" in Italy by the "Il Gambero Rosso" cuisine magazine. And very good it is, indeed. Their menu lists a limited variety of pizzas, most of them very classical but with quality ingredients, mostly typical gastronomic excellences in their respective categories. For the pizza dough, one can choose between three options, starting from the one based on sourdough, to the semi-wholemeal organic one, to finish with the extra light one, made by starch hydrolysis, without added yeast. Besides the pizza, they have a good choice of starters, among which it's worth mentioning especially the Montanarina, which is a kind of very small, bite-size pan pizza, which is proposed with a few alternative tasty toppings. As for the draft beer, they have a craft IPA one, which I liked very much, but I didn't manage to understand what brand it was. Last but not least, the desserts: the tiramisù and cannoli looked really good, but I tried the blueberry sorbet, which was quite good, but definitely too frozen, missing its characteristic softness. The service was good, quite fast and kind to the customers, although some had to remember the delivery of the ordered stuff. However, the waitress was very kind at us, and always smiling. The furnishing and decoration of the place is deliberately simple and essential, with a few sophisticated touches, such as the beautiful chandelier and the fresco in the main room. Overall the atmosphere is pleasant, even if the customers are a bit too crowded, which results in an environment that is too hot and noisy. The prices are slightly high, but I suppose that they are reasonable for Milano. The location is within the limited traffic area of the city, so be careful if you drive there, because you won't find easily a parking in the immediate surroundings.

Great pizza place for lunch breaks. I loved the dough. Ingredients are on the sophisticated side. Don’t expect your classical ham and mushroom pizza. Waiting time can be long at peak lunch hours. No coca cola but some Italian home made version.

A famous napoletan pizza chain so beware of quality fluctuations. It’s actually not my first time at berbere - this time another location. I must say, somehow disappointing experience. Although the tables are not that close to each other, the space is really really loud. Plus, while an open kitchen looks really cool, an open bar is a bit of a mess. The staff is yet indeed very friendly and casual. They are all young people who seem to genuinely enjoy what they are doing. As for pizza. Well, seems like it’s very much day- and location-dependent. My last time was a very average one. The dough didn’t seem to have naturally leavened enough and tasted a bit raw.

Great pizza in Isola, although there are quite many pizzerias around Isola, Berbere is one of the best ones. The overall taste versus what you pay is value for money. We ordered 6 different Pizza for a dinner with friends and had a great experience. All of managed to enjoy relish and finish the pizza although it was a take away and we had at home. Definitely will recommend to try out this joint. The place is neat and tidy and the service is pretty fast. I would recommend to reserve as the place can get crowded quite easily.

Location nulla di eccezionale. Consiglierei soprattutto di rivedere le sedie, un poʻ scomode. Menù abbastanza vario. Pizza buona, ma non buonissima, soprattutto ho trovato il bordo troppo croccante (ho preso una speck, zola e noci). Birra molto buona. Dolce così così: la glassa di pistacchio si è tutta staccata dal gelato interno, il gusto di pistacchio però era bello presente e buono. Servizio ok. Prezzi corretti.

La cosa più sorprendente è che, nonostante il locale si trovi a Milano isola, i prezzi sono alla portata veramente di tutti. La pizza è buona, bassa al centro e con il cornicione non troppo alto. Sarà perché erano le 9 e 30 di sera, sarà perché eravamo un tavolo da 12 persone, ma per servirci ci hanno messo 1 ora e 30… Attenti all’orario quando andate.

02 27 Menzione particolare per la montanara davvero eccezionale. La pizza seppur con impasto di qualità non mi ha nuovamente entusiasmato. Personale gentile. Locale accogliente. Pizza di dimensioni ridotte a metà tra quella classica napoletana e quella classica non napoletana. Impasto molto buono mentre la Bufala lasciata a crudo e a spicchi sulla pizza non mi ha entusiasmato più di tanto. Stesso discorso per la montanara. Possibilità di mangiare in dehor esterno. Personale gentile e accogliente.

Non ci credo - anche qui ti chiedono la mancia! Nell’app per pagare a tavola, esce l’opzione di lasciare una mancia per il servizio. Non dovrebbe essere così. A parte questo, la pizza era buona, ma più piccola della classica napoletana.

Location non troppo elegante. Buono il servizio delle cameriere. Pizza non il massimo, mettono il grana grattugiato sopra a freddo ovunque, immangiabile. E aglio sulla pizza. Prezzo nella norma

Already recently, I’ve been to Berbere in Zona Colonne and we received a very bad service. The guy serving our pizzas was young and stressed and talked to me in a very impolite way. There was a misunderstanding about the menu and when I kindly asked for clarifications he told me “non devi chiederlo a me mica faccio io le pizze” My friend already left a negative review after that experience. Yesterday I’ve been to the same restaurant in Isola and I must say the experience was bad. The people serving us rushed us from the beginning. We didn’t feel welcome, and on top of that honestly the pizza was terrible, both mine and my friends. I am not a picky eater. I usually like all pizzas, but I was very surprised yesterday. It looked as if it was warmed up from the day before, the dough was just weird and chewy, the tomato sauce had a weird bitter taste and our mozzarella were half cooked half raw. I asked for extra vegetables, cavolo and friarelli as suggested by the waiter, and I got friarelli and spinach. They also tasted very bad and I had to leave them aside. If the waiters had been nice to us, our experience would’ve been better, but honestly, the waiters were also rude and rushed and I don’t think they’ve even smiled once at us. Gli antipasti fritti erano buoni. I am never coming back.

Pizza sopravvalutata, a parte il discorso degli impasti differenti, che tra l'altro sto ancora cercando di digerire nonostante il lievito madre e la lunga lievitazione, la quantità degli ingredienti e la dimensione della pizza non sono adeguati, la cottura in un forno elettrico peggiora la cosa. Anche il dolce non percepito. Servizio ok Lgbtq friendly. Ambiente rumoroso, tavoli troppo vicini.

I will never order from this restaurant. Bad taste of the pizza. Bufala is 10.5 eur, small and without taste, as the ingredients were not cooked together. In the same area i had better pizza. Also it is crouded and i don't undestand why people are eating there. There were usualy older persons, maybe they are just used with it.
