Da Giordano il Bolognese Milano Reviews
Wonderful little meal. Nice staff, authentic food and atmosphere for a reasonable price. Manger speaks English. I’ll go back.
Simply fantastic, such a good price
Great local spot for a solid lunch!
Despite getting a table near the door, which kept letting a cold draft in, I’d recommend this place! It was full of Italians & felt authentic. It was reasonably priced & the food was delicious. The quality of the pasta exceeded my expectations—value was amazing for Milan! They also brought some cookies and chocolate at the end of the meal which I thought was a nice touch.
Superb. Very surprised that anyone thinks this ristorante is anything other than superb. We enjoyed supper and sought recommendations from the team - fresh pasta was amazing. When in Milano will be returning. Very highly recommended. Grazie Mille
Freshly made pasta (by hand). Ask the waiter about options, he put together a dish of three pastas so we could try a selection of them. I had the tagliolini with black truffle it was amazing and really good value for money. That amount of truffle would’ve cost your twice the price in London
The most authentic, traditional and welcoming experience on a Sunday evening, where the place is filled with local Milanese families spending their Sunday dinner at a place where you can clearly sense the familiarity, that they all are welcomed by. The hosts were charming, helpful and entertaining and the food, all we had hoped for on our very last evening in Milano. Definitely recommendable and affordable for couples as well as families.
We loved the service from the young waiter who was so helpful and courteous and we had the pleasure of being served by him twice! We tried different kinds of pasta, veal and vegetables and it all tasted great. Loved the bread served with dinner and the Sangiovese house wine. Went here twice during our 4 nights in Milan and would come back! Prices were very reasonable.

We had a pleasant early dinner here during the busy design week. The restaurant is definitely old school and feels a bit stale, like it’s ready to be updated. Our meal was good but not memorable. The osso bucco was tender and well prepared. My husband enjoyed the tortellini en brodo. My lasagna was very good. We were too full to have dessert. Reasonable prices. Service a bit less than friendly but competent. If you’re in the area you could have a good meal at a decent price but we probably won’t be back.
The tortellini brodo brought back wonderful taste memories of my trip to Bologna !! When I know we are going to an old school Bologna restaurant, I immediately knew i’m going to order the tortellini with soup. Also found out risotto Milanese is not my thing but the ossobuco was soft and flavourful especially the bone marrow.

It was busy and service was extremely slow. waitress were arguing and there was a tension. Food unfortunately much worse than two years ago.
Dinner with family. Good food, but old style presentation. Quick service. Wine served too hot, at wrong temperature. Right price.

I have been in this restaurant many times before, usually without booking. I had suggested this restaurant to my friend visiting Milan, and we went there. This was yesterday- I arrived, and seeing the restaurant was almost completely empty, I asked the waiter “would it be possible to have a table for 2?” He looked at me and said “we are al completo” meaning they are fully booked. It seemed strange but I accepted it. I then proceeded to look for another place. The waiter kept coming out of the restaurant to ask me “where are you girls planning to go to eat” and “have you found a place?” It seemed strange and rude - passing there few hours later the restaurant was still completely empty. Unfortunate as I was a good costumer that brought many people there.
Food was good. They speak perfect English until you have a problem. Buffet does not mean buffet. It means you serve yourself and see the food beforehand. If you go twice, you pay twice. When I asked at the end, the server ignored my query and acted like he did not know English (but had been speaking to me in English during my whole visit). I would go again to eat, but try to get more information beforehand. Because I feel cheated, I rate it 2 stars.
Probably you are not welcome there... at least i felt that way. Food is good and i really liked pasta bolognese 4,5/5, Service is out of any league 1/5, atmosphere is nice3/5.
We booked - no use doing it. First come first serve - locals first, foreigners last. Put in the basement with the naughty crowd. Forgotten in the basement and it is a sauna there. Zero ambiance. Completely spoiled the food experience.
