La Polena Milano Reviews
Fantastic fish, perfectly cooked pasta, elegant atmosphere, everything perfect. The best place I've ever eaten fish. The meat is also delicious and cooked to perfection. Satisfied. Recommended.
A truly excellent restaurant with high-quality products at a good trattoria price. It's managed by Italian-Chinese people, offering truly impeccable service. The staff is very young and dynamic. The dishes are all carefully prepared, and the menu offers every type of dish. The atmosphere is simple but very clean and pleasant. There are also a few tables outside on the terrace.
Great food, lovely people who run the place. Full of locals who regularly go there. Prices excellent with a high level of quality. Going to become a regular place for me. See you there 👍👍

China knows how to cook Italian bigtime
A completely unexpected surprise. Overall, the restaurant probably doesn't deserve four stars, as the fish, which should be the main course, is mostly frozen and tasteless. I must admit that, being from Puglia, I'm accustomed to quality standards that are certainly different from those in Milan, but that doesn't mean I can't admit that the fish tasted anything but fishy. That said, I still felt compelled to give it this rating because I was pleasantly surprised by the linguine with shrimp, zucchini, and saffron: an overall good and flavorful dish. The staff was also very friendly, the service was quick, the prices were more than reasonable (thanks also to TheFork), and the bathrooms were clean and adequately stocked. In short, it's certainly a good place, but it definitely needs to improve. I can only place all my faith in the restaurant, hoping that those little things that aren't working can be fixed (if at all possible).
The lunch menu was good. Nice service. If you want something affordable and you are in the area don't hesitate to go there.
Superb service, excellent food, great ambience.
We only got take out at this restaurant because I injured my foot and couldn't walk on it. They were very kind and gave us ice on 2 occasions. We have veal Milanese and roasted potatoes which were …
solid
Excellent service, but the beef wasn't as good as I expected.
A HORRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT I've known Polena for a long time and have been there numerous times with friends. Last night, there were three of us, we booked ahead of time for 8:00 PM, and we dined like we've often done before. I'd noticed they were serving us a bit too quickly, but I never expected that, after ordering appetizers, main courses, desserts, and a good bottle of wine, at 9:15 PM, with apologies and a receipt attached, we were asked to leave our table to make room for someone else. They were very kind and gracious in inviting us to leave, but ultimately ruined our evening. I don't know if Polena runs a double shift, but in this case, frankly, it's a "half shift." Luckily, there are many other restaurants in Milan that are decidedly more respectful towards their customers. Bye Polena, never again.
Horrible service, we’ve been waiting for someone to come to our table for more than 15 minutes. Noone bothered.
