Open Mind Bistrot Milano Reviews
I had been looking for a course suitable for the early childhood age group for a long time, all the previous ones I had done did not have the characteristic of playfulness and passion. With Open Minds the turning point came: with them I gave a name to those good practices that I used such as TPR, with them I learned how important rhythm, musicality and repetition are in this age group. The course provides a wealth of materials that can be used daily in the section, a precious inexhaustible resource. I became so passionate about the course that I brought their teaching proposal to my Institute Council as a training body. A THANK YOU to the contact Claudia Adamo who always responded promptly and encouraged my evening contributions.
I don't know who I should thank for stumbling upon the Open Minds website one day, while looking for material on a topic: I really don't know. Since then, it's become my lifeline! At every opportunity, even for Halloween and Christmas, I've drawn various materials and ideas from the site. This isn't just a fluff... I don't know how to do it! I watched several videos on different topics, and so one day I filled out the form to receive information about English courses. I decided to take some courses, like the Multisensory English course and the Pronunciation and Fluency course, paying for them with my Teacher Card, and I think I'll take more. Claudia is very professional, thorough, and precise: listening to her never gets boring, and the training becomes a pleasure, not an obligation or a duty. She's a wealth of ideas for teaching English, ideas you won't find in books. Her entire team is a great team!!!
The course is very stimulating, both in opening the mind to the need to extend teaching style beyond the textbook and in showcasing psychological evidence that the existence of multiple senses is a fundamental consideration in any subject taught. It also provides a series of useful suggestions for incorporating these reflections into daily English teaching. Claudia's experience allows her to focus on the key points to cover in class, focusing on the main linguistic differences between Italian and English. Recommended!
I was so pleased with the OpenMinds course I took, so much so that I purchased a second one, which I'll take more slowly this summer, given the option of completing it independently via recordings. Another positive aspect is that the course content remains permanently available to the student, allowing them to revisit the topic of their choice if needed. I thank Claudia for her professionalism and the warmth with which she explained all the content to us; she instilled so much passion in me.
An extraordinary course thanks to Claudia's enormous expertise: what struck me was her scientific approach to learning English and the wealth of experience that inevitably shines through in her words. I took the Reading and Writing and Multisensory courses: truly fabulous for developing teaching skills in school. Another aspect that struck me was the critical analysis of some approaches, unfortunately widespread in schools but ineffective. I will continue my teacher training at this school, which I believe to be the best for professional development. Claudia guides you through the discovery of the mechanisms underlying language learning, and the underlying methodology she suggests is incredibly interesting, based on the senses and play, but above all on clarity and consistency in teaching—something that is completely missing from many textbooks!!! Finally a point of reference; I found, frankly, "the key to the puzzle" to guide me in planning lessons with children. My sincere congratulations and infinite thanks!!!!!
I attended the teacher training course for children aged 3-6. I thought it would be more about developing learning games, but beyond that, there was a wealth of information on children's understanding based on their age group, the basics of language learning, and lots of useful information for delivering a lesson to preschoolers. Claudia was truly professional; she never left anything to chance, explaining every point of the program in great detail. I was truly satisfied. I would absolutely recommend it! Thank you so much, Ambra.
I am very satisfied with the "Multisensory English" course taught by Teacher Claudia Adamo. The training is well-structured, rich in content, comprehensive, and effective. Lots of interesting materials are provided (videos, documents, and in-depth analysis). Furthermore, all the content remains accessible even after the course is completed. Teacher Claudia Adamo is a highly knowledgeable and helpful professional. I highly recommend this training to all English language teachers.
I attended the course "Teaching English Pronunciation and Reading and Writing," a wonderful course, rich in content, with a solid scientific foundation and practical methodological guidance, clearly exemplified both during the live lessons and in the numerous shared videos available to us at all times. Teacher Claudia was very helpful, ready to clarify any doubts at the beginning and end of the lessons, and shared her extensive linguistic expertise with us, with great passion and attention to current teaching practice. It was the course I'd wanted to take since I started teaching English in elementary school! A course that fills a gap, especially in elementary school, regarding the rules of pronunciation and therefore the ability to understand and be understood in order to communicate. All of this is done through child-friendly, often playful methods. I highly recommend the course to all English language teachers! Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to our passionate teacher Claudia! Cinzia
I discovered Open Minds courses by chance while searching online for materials useful for my profession. I signed up for the first course, then immediately for a second, and...I'll continue! The experience was beyond positive: I found what I was looking for! The great professionalism, the clarity in presenting the content supported by extensive research and experience, the many suggestions, and the availability of everyone, especially Dr. Claudia Adamo, who taught the courses I signed up for, helped me tremendously both personally and professionally. The cost of the courses is also reasonable and not excessive. I recommend everyone to try and let Open Minds guide them!
I attended the "Teaching English to 3-6 Year Olds" course with great interest. I appreciated the flexible approach and the content, which further enriched my teaching skills. I always received precise, helpful, and timely feedback after submitting the assignments, so I can only be thrilled with the course! I would definitely choose Open Minds again for further exploration. Silvia
We've been learning with our son since elementary school. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to immediately replace in-person lessons with online ones, without sacrificing time or quality teaching. This year, in particular, thanks to the support of our highly trained and motivating teacher, we achieved the B1 certification with a high pass approximately six months early. Flexibility and attention to needs are an excellent complement to the program. The costs are definitely reasonable.
I purchased the course "Teaching English to 3- to 6-Year-Olds" and found the training excellent in every way. I am a psychomotor therapist and have worked in bilingual kindergartens and international schools. The material provided by Open Minds is the best I've found on the market so far. It's comprehensive, covers the child's developmental stages, is varied, and very well structured. I sincerely thank Claudia Adamo for her great availability and professionalism.
For several years, I've been using Open Minds to organize lessons for my 10- and 13-year-old children. I've chosen individual or small group lessons. I've always been very satisfied with both the teachers (professional, friendly, punctual) and the administrative management (helpful and courteous). It's not exactly a cost-effective solution, but it's certainly effective and high-quality. Plus, they send a wealth of interesting and fun extra material (I confess I use less than half of the available material!)
We did skype lessons, it was wonderful experience! Teacher very professional and lovely with children, great at dealing with them, even if not in presence.
Thank you for sharing materials! They are excellent!
Professional and up to date English language acquisition programs. Excellent teacher training.
We've been using Open Minds for private home lessons for our 15-year-old daughter for about three years: our experience has been very, very good. We've always found excellent, well-prepared, native-speaking teachers who ensured continuity throughout the year/period chosen for the lessons. Claudia (the director) has always been very careful in choosing teachers and is available to meet all our requests and resolve any organizational issues. Highly recommended!
Great Experience! Thanks to all the staff!
That's fantastic people here. It is possible to find skilled teacher who carefully look after our children as their children. Highly suggested.
We are happy clients of Open Minds, the teacher is qualified, reliable and very kind to our child !
