Piccolo mare Milano Reviews
A modern restaurant run by Chinese staff, but serving traditional Italian cuisine, which I must say is well-prepared. The first courses are outstanding, as are the second courses. One thing to note is that they're all generous, especially the appetizers, which are proper courses, not just samples. We'll be back often, as we already do. Congratulations!
I thank The Fork for introducing me to this restaurant. The style and decor are beautiful, and the atmosphere is spotless and welcoming! The service is also excellent, with friendly and professional staff. The cuisine is sublime; every course we ate was a true delight. We had the shrimp and saffron risotto, tagliatelle with zucchini and shrimp, mixed fried fish, mixed grilled fish, and even the homemade desserts, tiramisu and crème brûlée, which were truly delicious. The quality/price ratio is excellent. This is one of those places where I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
Great food and super value. It was very busy for lunch. Don’t go with certain seafood in mind. I wanted clams or mussels, but they only have a set number of dishes on offer that day, so you know it’s fresh I suppose. I got a ton of salmon with a side of cucumbers, tomatoes and bread, along with a water for 14 Euro. Can’t beat that.
A cheerful family dinner. A small sea, a big guarantee. The place was full, the table was ready for us, beautifully set. To start, we ordered steamed salmon with provola cheese (a unique and special dish) with a mixed salad, followed by seafood spaghetti, excellent and rich, and Sicilian-style cod, enormous and tasty. Great prices, generous portions. I also recommend spaghetti with clams and bottarga, tagliolini with squid ink, stewed mussels, fried fish (flavorful and dry), and grilled vegetables (abundant and well-assorted), which we've enjoyed on previous occasions. Everything was perfect, in large quantities and of high quality. Very fast service. Pleasant atmosphere. Prices are already affordable, made more reasonable by online offers. It's always worth booking. We'll be back.
One evening in Milan with friends, we stopped at this restaurant by chance, and voilà, a wonderful surprise. Excellent value for money, a fish-based dinner, and we sampled the menu together. Excellent first courses, and I'd say the appetizers too...very formal. The only thing I'd say is that we had to wait a bit for service, but that's a fair observation, not a negative. Very affordable price. Parking is a bit less difficult. Try it.
We discovered this restaurant thanks to The Fork, and after a more than satisfactory first dinner, we've returned many times, including to celebrate birthdays. Each visit has confirmed the quality of the experience offered. The restaurant undoubtedly deserves a special mention: the excellent quality-price ratio makes it an ideal choice for both a casual dinner and more special occasions. The owner is always extremely kind and attentive to the needs of his guests, while the wait staff stands out for their courtesy, helpfulness, and prompt service. Over the course of our various visits, we've had the opportunity to sample many dishes on the menu, and we can confidently say that they're all truly excellent. Each time, we're spoiled for choice, because everything is so good that deciding what to order becomes truly difficult. The varied and well-structured menu satisfies both meat and fish lovers, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. A restaurant that continues to pleasantly surprise us and one we recommend without hesitation.
Nothing to complain about this fish restaurant managed by an Asian family. Only smiles and courtesy 🌹We went with a 50% rebate thanks to The Fork app but were treated like any other customer, with kindness and efficiency. My seafood salad was delicious and the portion not small at all. The fried squid and prawns were also delish, non greasy and abundant. My relative ordered mussels sauté with yummy garlic and was out of her mind due to the quality and preparation of this dish. She had fried sardines to follow, which were also fresh non greasy. Lovely, cozy place, ideal for both families and couples. Staff is adorable.
Bistrot Piccolo Mare is a hidden gem that every seafood lover should discover. I've dined here four times! Always the freshest fish! The menu is a journey through the flavors of the sea, with dishes that showcase the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Each course is a work of art, both in taste and presentation. Among my favorites were the delicately marinated mixed seafood platter and the spaghetti with clams and bottarga: a perfect combination of authentic flavors. The main courses don't disappoint either: the mixed grilled fish and the shrimp and scampi are a symphony of freshness, with every bite expressing the sea. Another plus is the quality-price ratio: considering the quality of the food and service, the prices are decidedly fair. Piccolo Mare isn't just a restaurant, but a culinary experience that leaves you wanting to return. Highly recommended for both a romantic dinner and a special lunch with friends or family. A gem that deserves to be known and appreciated!
We went to the "Bistrot Piccolo Mare" restaurant, known for its seafood specialties, and had a truly positive experience. The food was fresh and carefully prepared, the service was prompt, and the price was fair for the quality. Finding parking in the area is certainly not easy, but we were lucky this time. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their dishes.
Excellent selection Abundant and delicious first courses Excellent seafood risotto The spaghetti with clams and bottarga were delicious, but they tasted a little like bottarga; the spaghetti with squid ink was well-made, and the tagliatelle with shrimp and zucchini were sublime. Fried mixed fish and sea bass were fresh. The Milanese cutlet and fillet were excellent. In short, we'll definitely be back for the customer service and the quality of the ingredients.
Tasty food for a good price, and very good service!
the blue restaurant! and ' flying' fish under the sea :)
Locale accogliente, moderno, luminoso e pulito.
Ristorante cinese con cucina italiana, conosciuto tramite The Fork. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo e personale molto gentile. Consigliato
I booked through The Fork, looking for a seafood-focused menu. I chose this restaurant because of the reasonable drink prices. The restaurant is excellently run by Chinese people. The service is excellent: fast and friendly. The starters were very good, as were the fried dishes, which were quite crispy and not greasy. The grilled meat and the peppered mussels were good. Some dishes were a bit bland. The restaurant is beautiful and tidy. The discount was applied appropriately. The prices are fair. The set evening menu is an excellent alternative.
A pleasant surprise. The restaurant is very beautiful and welcoming. The owners, as well as the rest of the staff, are very kind and serve quickly. As for the food, the fish is of high quality, as is the meat, with generous portions and very tasty. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. We'll definitely be back!
We happened upon it by chance one Saturday after visiting the Isola market. We read the lunch menu outside and decided to give it a try. It's run by a Chinese family, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly. The fact that it was busy gave us confidence. They made us wait about ten minutes, just enough time to clear the table and set a table. The portions are generous and good, the service a little slow, but that's understandable given the place was fully booked. We paid €13 each for a first course, second course, side dish, 1/2 cup water, and coffee. We'll be back.
What can I say? It was quite disappointing. We had baby octopus soup and a mixed grilled fish. The mixed fish tasted like nothing, but it was somehow edible. The baby octopus was an obscene experience; hard, rubbery, and tasteless. If I threw them against the wall, they bounced off. Plus, all those little fish hanging from the ceiling above the tables are full of dust and grease. A complete fail.
Chinese place.
