Nice chinese restaurant

Absolutely wonderful with good food and fast service. That's worth a lot when you weren't allowed to go into another restaurant. Great place that gave me exactly what I needed.

I love this little gem. My partner and I both lived in China for multiple years and we love Asian cuisine. The staff are super welcoming and friendly. Food is fantastic (I love the peking duck) and it’s my go to spot to get my fix as it’s quite authentic. Some dishes are altered a little to adjust to the local taste but that expected in Milan. If I lived closer I’d be eating there way too regularly 🤣

HIGHLY RECOMMEND 1/5/25 staying close, love Asian cusine. Seated quickly, Very Extensive menu, descriptions couched in Italian, “ravioli “, spaghetti— actually neither. Ate there twice, first time had chicken/black bean sauce, yum, and duck in plum sauce. Added glass noodles with vegetables, rice. Second time had shrimp with chile sauce and beef with onion and ginger, this time added stir fried vegetables and rice. Food very tasty, not overly spicy. Some staff was very friendly, one female an ice queen. Made us wait 25 minutes for the check out, after table cleared. Saw a couple of elderly Chinese gentleman, obviously regulars, enjoying large bowls of noodle soup. While there a large party of over 18, had a celebration.

First time visiting Milan with the family and stumbled upon this restaurant right next to our hotel. We’ve been craving Asian food since we got here - Italian food is divine, but sometimes you just need a taste of home - away from home. Staff greeted us promptly and communicated with us in English as our Italian was not the best haha. Orders were taken swiftly and the food arrived not too long after. The dishes were incredible, we ordered seven dishes to share and some rice for all of us. Would highly recommend the 533 Anatra All’Arancia and 80 Manzo Con Salsa Satay.

I couldn't have asked for better service and food. I arrived late around 11PM and the food arrived quickly and the waiter was exceptional. Polished off a late dinner with limoncello which was served in the traditional glass which was also frozen cold.

My experience at the Shangri-la restaurant was amazing. Truly, if you are looking for a place selling Chinese food in a setting that will make you feel relaxed, immersed, and comfortable, this is the right place. I shared the Peking duck with my family which was excellent (They prepare it at the table). Pricing is extremely reasonable, and the food tasted great all around. This is the kind of restaurant that should stay in business. So, if you are a tourist in Milan and need a break from Italian like me, please consider!

Surely one of the really nice choices for a good Chinese meal in the city. Super quick service. High quality food, not too expensive.

My girlfriend and I love to visit traditional Chinese cuisine (Cantonese; Szechuan; Hunan; Jiangsu; etc) and this one was spot on. The food was tasty, refined and respectful towards the ingredients. We would have liked some more spice to it, but the general taste was great. There was a calm, pleasant atmosphere and the waitresses were very professional and helpful. Tip: order the peking duck (they prepare it at your table!), the egg plant in “spicy sauce” and the char siu pork belly. We’ll come back soon!

Very nice place with beautiful architecture and old style design. The fodd was good and proportionate. Wan ton soup was very good and I like the tofu. The prices are low. I recommend the restaurant very much.

Okay Chinese restaurant in a busy street in Milan . Almost no parking available so plan ahead to walk . No pictures unfortunately of food as phone completely died of battery :(. Next time I visit will update review with photos Food is good and typical to Chinese cuisine . Peking duck is decent but the best is the whole fried fish cut in pieces squared . Levels of spicy is adapted to the local Italian palette so do not expect too spicy flavors . Service is okay although they were very busy on this night . Would give them another try next time in Milan .

A very nice Chinese restaurant in Milano, we can highly recommend for a nice dinner out. Almost every dish we had was freshly made and tasty. Timing of the food was a bit off unfortunately ,not all dishes came at the right time, which made eating in order a bit difficult. Otherwise the service was good.

A mixed experience tonight. The restaurant has good reviews, our hotel is nearby, and we arrive without a reservation. The waiter is about to seat us in the main room, and the owner tells him to lead us to the room at the far end of the restaurant. There, we quickly notice that a table is set for a group. The group in question is made up of families with children, and the owner knew this. No other tables are joining this room, and she closes the door to protect the other customers from the indescribable noise made by children. We are a family with our teenagers, but she doesn't seem to make any distinctions; we put the tables with "young people" at the back. The food is very nice, as is the wine list, but it's impossible to fully enjoy the moment. So be careful, and don't let yourself be led to the back room.

Thought we would try here as the Thai place we wanted to go to was closed. I ordered spring rolls for starters, which were so basic— no salad, no nothing. For mains, I got pad Thai noodles with chicken, which was probably the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. The flavours were so rubbish. For dessert, we got tiramisu, which was also the worst I’ve ever had— it was frozen. Honestly, I would not recommend here at all—it was totally rubbish.

Terrible experience and awful customer service. Fried Thai rice served in half pineapple whereas not mentioned in the description of the dish and not mentioned as potention allergens. "Fried rice with salted fish", well oversalted it was indeed. But I couldn't find the fish. I have been told that there were very little pieces. But honestly it was maybe 0,5% of the dish that were actually crumbs of whatever sea product. After complaining about this twice she removed it from the bill. But her behaviour was rude. The lady manager (owner?) pretended not to speak English. While she did in fact but was not welcoming enough to make an effort. The dishes were not served all together so each of us had to eat one by one in order not to have his dish get cold.

Very bad service! The air conditioner is not turned on to serve customers! Meanwhile, I have asked: from the manager (2 times) to the staff (3 times) it is still decided not to turn on the air conditioner for customers! A very bad server state....so bad. Definitely never going back.
