Ughetto Milano Reviews
I landed in Milan yesterday and saw the reviews for this place so thought I'd book and check it out. I can see why there's so much hype! It's proper authentic, and the food is out of this world. I don't speak much Italian (literally just a few words and phrases) but the lovely waitress was able to converse with me in English and gave recommendations on the food, wine and also local places to visit. I feel bad for not asking her name but she was really friendly! The atmosphere was great and for a first time in Italy this was an amazing experience thank you 🙂
Absolutely wonderful! The experience from start to finish was exquisite. The chef and waitress were so so nice to us (and we’re Americans!) and the food was spectacular. My wife and I went to Umbria earlier this year and the food here was even better than what we had there! Pasta was super fresh and delicious and they gave us a small appetizer with lentils and a dessert with apricots for free! Come here and have a lovely dinner and you will not be disappointed!
Ughetto was the best restaurant I've been to in Milan! The atmosphere was really cozy and warm, the service was exceptional, and the food was fantastic. They gave us this bread with lentils, and they were, the BEST lentils I've ever had. I also ordered the Umbricelli, which was delicious. 10/10!
We only found this place as it popped up on the Quandoo app and had really good ratings. We've visited Milan twice, and both me and my girlfriend agree that this is the best food we've had in the city. It's an absolute gem of Umbrian cuisine. Every dish was delicious, superb from a lovely waiter. And as a big bonus, they had a very good selection of bottled craft beer too. Can't recommend highly enough.
The best steak tartare I’ve ever eaten. We were served by such a lovely guy. He recommended great alternatives to the beer we were drinking when it ran out. Amazing beer, even better food, and exceptional service
A surprise that this restaurant is not that crowded. With the food and ambience, it is easily be luxury restaurant. Menu is different each week, but we orderes pasta mista and polpo (octopus). The food is delicious and the taste is bold. The coffee is coming with moka pot and and just right after the meal. Will return if we get back to Milano.
This place is a gem. Located slightly away from central Milan, this restaurant is sheltered from tourist. The price is reasonable. They specialise in Umbre cuisine, a region from the south of italy. So happy with the food. The pasta dishes were amazing. Tiramisu was delicious and service was great. Nice vibe too.
We ate here on our first night in Milan and it was wonderful. I can definitely recommend the ‘scarpetta’ as a starter. It was a kind of slow cooked meat in a delicious red sauce. As a main, the lasagnetta with fresh truffle is a must. Our waitress Francesca was very friendly and explained everything to us well. I can only recommend coming here.
My new favorite restaurant in Milano. Absolutely phenomenal food. The owner was awesome. Stopped by the table at least 22 times check on us. They even provided a wine that was not on the menu that was soooooo good. So happy to have discovered this place. I’ll be back a 100 times
It's a cosy, small restaurant with a lot of positive vibes. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I tasted their special Parmigiana (starter) and Veal with mushrooms and chestnuts (main dish). Both were extremely tasty! Their wine selection is also really nice! I am very much looking forward to coming back here next time I visit Milan. I highly recommend! I also enjoyed the jazz music! :)
We were happy with choosing this restaurant. Umbrian cuisine was new to us, and we tried going with characteristic dishes. The iced Tiramisu and rabit ragout Risotto were definitely some culinaric highlights! While we weren't blown away with our secondi, the kitchen did a good job. The choice of open wines wasn't good, so we settled on a bottle of sparkling Falanghina which we enjoyed.
Beautiful little restaurant with Umbrian cuisine in lovely Porta Romana area, in leafy Viale Monte Nero avenue. Fantastic service (from lovely, warm & caring Oliver) and food to remember. Tartare of fassona is a thing of beauty, beautifully presented with seasonal veg, soft boiled egg & anchovies, so tender! Moka coffee at the end. Loved this place! Cannot wait to be back!
Trattoria-style food but fine dining setting. The pottery and plates are art pieces and sets a great ambience whilst dining. We had the rice salad with Swordfish (Hamachi) and Truffle Unbrechelli. The fish was really fresh and overall there was a great synergistic balance. The truffle was not overpowering and not surfeiting even after the last bite. Really amazing italian food cooked from the heart and presented with style. The price was reasonable. Not cheap, but not absurd. Well done!
The pasta I had was not bad, but not worth for 19euros, also the dessert cost 8 euros but the pesca was non fresh, a bit too sweet to my taste, the style they serve according to the menu is pretty fancy, but maybe just the dish I ordered wasn’t pleasing enough, I think it’s too overpriced
The quality of food was exceptional, if a little over-priced. The 2 servers friendly but slow and inattentive. Only boiling hot water from the bathroom tap, and a bench without a back rest. These are small things but contribute to your dining experience and unfortunately really let this place down.
