The catfish was so delicious, they had 3 options regular , lemon pepper and Cajun i went with the Cajun and it was so delicious. Definitely will be back.
Fish was awful, wife ordered no bean's and all rice, and got bean's and no rice. Waitress like don't care if its was right or not. Won't be back
Love this place, food and atmosphere is great 👍 can’t wait to come back
This place is AWESOME!!! The food is GREAT and the Owners and STAFF are Incredibly NICE and FRIENDLY. They are GOOD PEOPLE and love and appreciate their customers. The ride to CHENTE'S Mex- Seafood Cafe is Scenic and Warm.. Nice hills, valleys and is seated along the BRAZOZ RIVER, where the game is all around in the area, and the Fish are biting...oh, and there is also a Nice Campground next door..... 👍 NICE!!!

Ate catfish there years ago and recently saw the new connection to Campo Verde and thought we would give it a try again. Little more than an hour drive but why not... Food was good, not quite CV level but good. Service was little slow (1p on Saturday), had to ask for refills and didn't remove the lettuce/tomatoes from my taco like ordered. Not wheelchair friendly if in more than a manual chair due to the hump at the "wheelchair " door. Overall it was a fun day trip and we will try it again!

I ordered the all you can eat catfish. The fried catfish was alright… but the grilled catfish was very, very salty. I wish I had gotten my money back!
Got a couple burgers this weekend. They were garbage. Just plain and dry. When asked for vegetables that straight up said we don’t have those and walked away. Food was unbeatable
Okay, food and a rude waitress are a great combination.

All u can eat catfish horrible food was just bad
Waitress was rude and never said hello. We were Not given anything to drink. No chips and salsa, or anything at all. The prices were outrageous which is probably why there wasn't anyone there. $18 for 2 enchiladas. We asked about the pie and we were told it was over there as the rude woman walked away. We did not stay. I hope she gets the same treatment when she goes out to eat.
We were only people there at noon Sunday. The wait person definitely did not want to be there. She hid out behind the register. We both ordered a #6 enchilada dinner with iced tea. The tea was old. It had a bad taste. Our dinners were delivered. The good thing about them is they were hot. The food quality was mediocre at best. The two dinners and tea was 41.00$. I will make the trip into Weatherford or Fort Worth to eat. We live in this community and have visited this cafe throughout all of its different operators. But we will not be back.
The place was nasty. As soon as we walked in there were dirty plates on the tables from previous customers I guess. The “waitress” was on her phone the whole time behind a counter. She brought out some chips with what looked like cheese from a can that I wouldn’t even give to my dog. She took our order (we ordered fajita nachos to be on the safe side) and was very rude about it, and when our food was done she sat the plates down aggressively. We got there about 6, and there were NO other cars there, we almost didn’t go in. I can’t say enough about how nasty this place was, just the finished plates on 4 or 5 of the tables were not picked up. She could have been cleaning while there absolutely no one else in there. I would never go back again.
Was there around 1pm on Saturday, August 24. There were 4 in our party. Two ordered Mexican food that they described as just ok—nothing special! The other 2 of us ordered the all you can eat catfish. The only sides available were a salad and a baked sweet potato. We were served 3 small pieces of fish and when we asked for more we were told there wasn’t any more!!! We also ordered a piece of pie and it was either so old or so frozen that it was difficult to get a bite on a fork. The waitress was annoying with all her personal stories. I assumed when the check arrived it would be lessened since you couldn’t honor the all you can eat, but that did not happen and an apology was non-existent. Won’t be driving from west Fort Worth again!
None of the food was very good. "Jumbo shrimp", were very small, fish was "fishy" tasting and too big. Won't be wasting money there again. But, if you want seafood, don't go to a Mexican restaurant.
Drove 30+ miles to eat here after all of the great reviews. SO disappointed! They were out of fried green tomatoes, cole slaw, charro beans and most of the pie flavors. The catfish was awful. Very fishy tasting and way too much salt. The shredded beef chimi was hamburger and the guacamole was lousy. I am seriously wondering where the stars came from on previous reviews? It’s a definite don’t bother!
Such a sad experience. We were hoping for a good meal of catfish. Everything the salad, potato and fish tasted the same. The food was poorly cooked and greasy. The server had a sour attitude and the other person was wearing headsets so she ignored everyone. A waste of money.
Second time in a row. Ran out of food. First time, no flower tortillas. Second time ran out of beans and rice, mashed up avocados with no seasoning, they called guacamole. Onions they left the outer layer on. My plans do not try and eat there again.
