Lemon Leaf Mineola Reviews
The food at Lemon Leaf is flavorful and filling. I love the chicken satay and the pork chops. The staff was attentive as well. The drinks are underwhelming, they could be made better. But overall a great place to for Thia food.
Lemon leaf is quite small, but a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly and the food is wonderful. Had their basil fried rice with beef and it was addicting!
I’ve been going here for more than 10 years. Having traveled to Thailand before, I can say this is the most authentic experience on Long Island. Plus, the portions are huge and the dishes are always consistent.
Excellent food, creative menu. Usually not very crowded. The room is often on the cold side (temperature).
we went on a rainy day, this brightened the day for us we fad steamed vegetables for the VEGAN & chicken pad that for the GF person - both very good (off the special lunch menu) nice people, good food, fresh and well done in the area? try it you'll be glad you did
Take out is so consistently fast and good! I can’t resist the mini curry samosas or the veggie tom yum soup.
Fantastic food. Our new favorite Thai restaurant. It’s not a beautiful restaurant but it’s clean and the food more than makes up for it.
I ordered five plates from the lunch special. 1) Pad Thai 2) Mee Ga-Thi 3) Ck String Bean 4) Beef Mass 5) Basil Duck. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was SALTY. I tried to give them one more chance after the prices increased. $66 was wasted on trying to get meal for my family. I'm not going back. I wanted a nice meal after my doctor appointment and was so DISAPPOINTED. Ordered on 7/18/2925. The food has fell off and I can get a better and cheaper frozen thai meal and dessert from Trader Joe's that so much more delicious. (They used to be so good!)
I hate to be critical but I must and it's partially my fault. I should've seen all the signs upon sitting down in an empty restaurant at 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. I immediately had to use the wash room and the hallway floor to the bathroom is so greasy I almost fell. Secondly the bathroom is so dimly lit. You can't see within your own reach, perhaps invest in a lightbulb and lastly, the owner of the restaurant is standing by the kitchen entrance, which is a shared hallway into the bathroom, with a fly swatter, swatting at flies. Now onto the food! Let me start it's more Chinese on the menu than Thai. Our two entrees, first garlic chicken is really stir fried chicken with a bowl of rice and second entree is drunken noodle but its just ordinary beef cheung fun. Our spring roll appetizer was so unappealing, they’re simply put onto an oversized plate which immediately turn my appetite away. Lemon Leaf is really chinese food disguised as Thai dishes. Both dishes bland and my drunken noodle was more sweet than spicy as advertised. The Zagat survey on the wall may have been true in 2009 but still hanging on the wall 14 years later doesn't represent the true taste and quality of a restaurant. Bottom line is I'm willing to give any restaurant a fair chance however, I would be hard pressed for a return visit. There are several authentic Thai restaurants around the area and much better overall experience for about same cost. My reasoning for two stars solely based on my waitress doing all she could to mask the inadequacies of this dimly lit and patron less establishment.
I placed an order and already paid a tip. When the delivery driver, who works for the restaurant, arrived, he demanded that my wife pay more tip, claiming that the order price did not include any tip! He even stood at the door on my property, and my wife had to go inside to get more cash. Last time, my order was wrong, and they refused to exchange it. We had to insist for them to send the correct order, and we were forced to return the previously delivered food — which had already been opened. Who knows if they gave it to someone else afterward. They force people to pay undeserved tips! Their website even makes you add a tip, when tipping should be based on the quality of service! I attached a photo of my order. Shame on you. Avoid at all costs.
The absolute worse thai food I’ve had. The shu mai had no flavor, even after dipped in the sauce. The drunken noodles were even worse. I requested for it to be spicy and they were sweet. Additionally, they were dry and didn’t seem stir fried at all. Complete waste of money. Clearly this is Thai food for white people.
