The depot Flatbread was just delicious, I can not recommend that starter enough! We also enjoyed the waygu steak and lobster Mac n cheese. Was delicious just a bit pricy.

Twin Cities BEST PATIO ! The Best Covered Outdoor Food-Drink-Restrooms Spot. I've been searching and this is... The only patio for rainy days! This is the perfect patio for our current situation. A covered open space, excellently setup for safe social mixing and eating... And clean restrooms. The historical covered train station is the best outdoor seating I've seen. Wide open, but entirely covered area, with a broad expanse between other guests. The light grill fare is perfect for dropping-in, hang-out, then resuming your journey.

Melted right into the atmosphere. Dinner: Cedar Plank Norwegian Salmon Perfect in every way. Beautiful plating. Flourless Chocolate Cake was rich and smooth. Server was friendly and helpful. Great service. My time here was heavenly.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Huge outdoor patio! Convenient location on water edge of downtown Minneapolis.

The food was great! The ladies at the bar were really nice and good at their jobs. It was an excellent experience.

Cozy yet comfortable space that joins the hotel lobby desk. Service was top notch and the food and presentation was on point. Food for two plus a kid was affordable, for the high quality and service. Great spot to celebrate an accomplishment or life event. On the Saturday evening we visited, it was not busy.

Great atmosphere inside the Renaissance Hotel. That being said the food is fantastic. The steak rivals the best steakhouses anywhere and the service is top notch. Dine here whether you are staying at this beautiful hotel or not!

Food here is really good! A great hotel bar for various purposes (getting some work done, after work drink, meeting with friends, family dinner). I recommend sitting in the bar area. Prices are high, but that's consistent with hotel bars/restaurants. The wings are my favorite in the city, ask for them extra crispy. Good cocktails and desserts.

I visit Milwaukee Road quite often. Our company holds training sessions several weeks each year. The attendees come from many different cultures, and have different dietary requests. I have found there are offerings on the buffet to meet all needs. The food is good, and we are able to eat and get back to business quickly. The staff is very attentive, and the food is excellent.

I went there last weekend for best friends wedding, we had the most fun our crew has had in a while. The service was over-the-top, and the food was even better. Try the barrel-aged Manhattan. Highly reccommend. Beautiful layout of the hotel.

Their breakfast buffet is really good. Made to order waffles & omelettes. Also regular breakfast fair. But what made it really nice was the mini welcoming fruit smoothie that was given while choosing from the menu if I wanted the buffet or a la carte.

Been to restaurants all over the country and best buffalo wings I’ve ever had! Friendly service. Clean & and kept up. Downtown Minneapolis lucky to have this place.

This is a very enjoyable restaurant that follows the historic theme of the hotel. The servers are very pleasant and attentive and the food is of very high quality. I always look forward to returning here.

The lobby is great, and our food was really good. Service was solid. The rooms are really cool and comfortable. The hotel also has a mini museum free of charge. In like this hotel!!

Great food, great staff, great ambiance......Extremely adaptive to my family's needs. Love the new renovation and interaction with history. BTW: Make sure you check out the speak-easy room!

Had such an amazing experience! The food was incredible but even more so, our server Carly was so sweet and attentive without hovering, she provided the perfect experience for my family and myself and we cannot wait to come back! Thank you Carly!

Great atmosphere. The decor is so cool and the booths are very comfy. The drink menu had some good choices but it could have been a little more diverse. The charcuterie board was OK, not great. The meats were a little funky and there should have been more choices on there as well. The Burger was EXCELLENT ! Melted in your mouth. The Pastrami sandwich was delicious. The bread was toasted perfectly and the pastrami was on point. It had a great grilled smokey flavor. Instead of fries we both had salads and they were maybe top 5-6 out of ten. Overall it was a nice experience and we will likely be back.

Went here with my friend this past Sunday, and thankfully they were open as many others weren't! (Used to work in a restaurant so kudos to places that give employees Sundays off!) The burger my friend and I both ordered was very good! Was a nice quiet place to chat and eat some good food!

Visiting Milwaukee Road was an experience transformed into sheer delight, thanks largely to the wonderful service provided by a warm, graceful waitress named Demeris. While the restaurant is an elegant and comfortable environment, she makes the experience like a warm gentle breeze straight from the picturesque landscapes of Greece. From the moment I am seated, her welcoming smile and pleasant demeanor set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Food is enhanced not just by the ingredients and atmosphere, but by the individuals involved in preparing and presenting a meal experience. Not only is she a vision of beauty, but her depth of knowledge about the menu and her insightful recommendations is like having a personal culinary guide. Nothing more can be asked of someone serving a meal. She is attentive without being intrusive and ensured that every aspect of the meal experience was perfect. It is rare to encounter such genuine and dedicated service. As a guest, the high standards of this establishment are reflected in the service she provided. Frankly, a visit here would be incomplete without the privilege of being hosted by her. Demeris is a gem that makes dining here a memorable event and begs many, many more return visits.

Our server Zae B was super sweet with our kids, was super helpful and very attentive. We will definitely come back again. The food was amazing and her presence was heart warming. Highly recommended the crab cakes and steak bites.

The restaurant wasn't very busy on a Sunday night. I was sat fairly quickly and has a friendly server. I ordered a salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad taste very good, but thought it was very small for the price.

I k8nd of want to give a 4 on service just because the manager last Sunday she was working super hard and with great attitude kind of surprise to see they were not prepare for the crowd since their was a Vikings game that Sunday. Also the drinks were not very good Mimosa had no bubbles at all pure OJ and Bloody Mary tasted like water down tomato juice and the donuts were not fresh besides from the bacon ones. We are Vikings seasson ticket holders so we are looking for a good place to have as regular place hope this was just an unfortunate situation we will try again. Sorry for the long speech but I think you really can di better

Pretty decent hotel restaurant/bar if you’re short on time or just don’t feel like venturing outside on a cold winter day. Definitely better options nearby and prices here were too high for the quality of food, but it gets the job done.

Food was great, when I have to continually ask for water ur waitress does not get a really good tip from me.

Definitely hotel restaurant vibes, but I had a surprisingly good steak salad, Pinot noir, and tomato soup. Good for a quick easy bite. Good place to bring your laptop and work if you need to.

Really nice location and good drink prices. But food took a very long time to come and wasn't that good for the price. Recommend if you're looking for cocktails but not so much for dinner.

The food was okay. Not a place I would eat at again. Walking into the hotel/restaurant, there was a strong smell of perfume or something and it was too much. The smell gave me a headache. The food was overpriced and the taste wasn't worth $30. I tried the crab cake as well and it was dry, also not worth $17. Eat at your own risk 🙄😅 the presentation of the food was the only good thing.

Food was just fine. Everything slightly under seasoned. My dish was a Bison Hot Dish. Bison was braised well, the overall dish just fell a little flat. I think it was a bold choice to not turn your braising liquid into a jus or demi, especially for a deconstructed hot dish. Maybe include a mushroom bechamel into the dish. Just any form of sauce would have elevated the dish beyond it's good, not great status. Others in my group got fish tacos (didnt get to sample), a filet mignon, and wild rice crusted walleye. Filet was cooked nicely, again, just under seasoned (only one side of the meat was salted well), and the crust on the walleye was a bit much. My sister is a vegan, and they prepared a nice winter vegetable risotto.

The wagyu sirloin was not very good. Everyone’s steaks were overcooked too. Definitely not worth what they are charging.

A bit underwhelmed. Stopped in for lunch, place was empty. Service was great, friendly & on top of things. Ordered an app & a burger to split with 2 cocktails. Cocktails were great. Burger was ok & fries and app were dryyyyyy and didn’t seem very fresh. We didn’t bother to finish all our food. All that for $75 (not including tip!!!) seems way over priced for what we got. Wouldn’t recommend.

Last Saturday, I went to have breakfast at the restaurant, and unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience. The waitress who served me, named Liana, was polite and attentive, but every time she came near the table, there was a very unpleasant odor. It was so strong that I couldn’t even finish my breakfast. While her service was professional, the smell made the experience quite uncomfortable.

J

We dined here for a group event, limited menu. Three of us by me had what looked like a tenderloin, two of us (including me) had what looked like sirloin! The smaller but thicker tenderloin looking pieces, perfect medium rare, leaning towards rare... beautiful. Those of us that had the sirloin looking cheap looking cut, overcooked thin slab of meat, medium at best, closer to medium well. Manager came out to address it, said it was Wagyu, all the cuts were sirloin. What is this, Ponderosa? Wagyu, sure…I find that very hard to believe. Even so, that’s like raving about how a 1984 Cadillac Cimmeron is a Cadillac! All that aside, when I pushed the manager to tell me my meat was medium rare, she was flustered, hemmed and hawed, finally said it was medium ish. As just about everyone was almost done eating, and I wasn’t in the mood to argue, I just let it be. Once the manager left, those dining with me thought it was ridiculous that the manager took zero ownership and that I should have had them recook to what I actually ordered. So, finally I did, got an appropriately cooked but still poor quality tough chunk of beef. Our server Jen was awesome!!!!

Much too expensive. “Crab cakes” appetizer is a crab cake. Side salad $12. Fries were drier than popcorn. Just not worth it.

service took forever, multiple occasions of reiterating what we had requested or ordered. Server did not stay on top of things whatsoever dispite a very slow atmosphere. Originally ordered a medium rare steak, was served a medium well steak. They come back with the steak I posted below which is very obviously quickly flash seared on a hot hot grill, so instead of cooked it’s jsut straight raw in the center and overdone outside. At this point I’m just hungry so I accepted the steak and ate the outside portions. Expected much much better

Came here for some dessert after eating dinner nearby. The service was great and my server Macy was delightful which is the only reason this place is getting any stars. Had the giant skillet cookie and it was just awful. It seems like the cookie was plopped into the skillet and briefly heated before serving so definitely not fresh. This explains both how quickly it came out and how none of the chocolate was even remotely melty, it wasn't even warm. Temperature aside, it had a weird stale almost mustardy aftertaste that was just an additional layer of bad. Will not be coming back.

What a weird vibe. We ordered the “nachos” which was just one large chip with beans cheese and salsa. Yes I get that it is advertised as small plates but what a disappointment. I ordered a Sierra Mist which tasted way too syrupy. Our waitress was nice but you could tell she didn’t really wanna work that night. The restaurant was dead for a Saturday night. Overall I was not impressed.

$5 for bitter coffee which one would normally get for free at a hotel. Should have just walked outside to the coffee shop

What happened to this place. We visit yearly and there is nothing worth wild on menu. Bad drinks. Bad food. Sat outside and the waitress was helping tables that she had already been to but not helping any new tables or even acknowledging them. Bad service. Stars are only for cool hotel. Way overpriced. Get a better menu!

J

Ordered the burger medium-well and it was very rare. There was NO bacon which was described on the menu. The veggies were on the side and pathetic, not to mention tainted by pickles when the description said nothing about pickles. Very disappointing.

B
Bee & Bear Lodge

Service was good and friendly but the food was not. I ordered the charcuterie board room service and it was abysmal from start to finish. Not only was in haphazardly tossed into a to go container with zero consideration to presentation, the quality of meats, cheeses and crackers were no better than the local convenience store. Literally. It was a tri pack of deli meats, a disgusting pistachio loaf, regular cheddar cheese and jalapeño havarti, Breton and water crackers. $16 tops in the deli section poorly cut and thrown into a box. The dessert was similarly disappointing, clearly something pre-made and frozen and tossed into a box with fully melted ice cream in a plastic container. Not at all up to the standards expected at such a place and certainly not worth $73.

We went here for our Valentine’s Day dinner. We had reservations for 6:30, but the poor guy seating guests was all alone and it took 20 minutes to get seated. Unfortunately that was just the beginning of the outrageous amount of waiting we had to do, due to being understaffed. Our waitress was nice and never stopped moving. However our glasses went empty prior to our food coming and our second round didn’t arrive until 15 minutes after our food arrived. I could not wait for my beverage any longer and walked up to the bar and realized our server was also making drinks. The food was also disappointing. My husbands burger that he ordered medium was beyond well done.my steak tacos were just ok, but came with potato chips. That seemed tacky and not in line with expectations of the restaurant. We will not ever go to this restaurant again, you just do not get the service or quality of food that you pay for.

Made a reservation for a 10 year anniversary months in advance at 10pm for late dinner and cocktails. Got a voicemail the DAY OF to say there kitchen closed at 9:30 and that we would need to come in early if we wanted to eat. When I called back at 8pm to confirm they could still seat us if we came at 9:30 someone else said the VM didn't matter because they were so busy they closed the kitchen even earlier. No one showed any concern. No one offered any apology. As a Marriott member and loyalist I don't expect this poor of treatment and disrespect from a restraunt associated with their hotel. We were not able to have dinner in the city as everything else was booked solid and we couldn't find other options after being turned away last minute. We were traveling from Maryland and completely missed out on on a dinner experience for our first time visiting the city. I asked for a manager to call me and they never did to try and make it right.

This restaurant is the epitome of what should be on Kitchen Nightmares. Price to food quality ratio is horrible. So expensive for such bad food. Food came out all at different times. Restaurant was dead empty besides our group at 6pm on Thursday. Waitress was nice but that’s it. “Caesar” side salad consisted of spring mix, tomatoes and red onion. That’s literally it. WTF! Fish tacos were so dry and had 2 toppings. “Grilled” corn tortilla was bad. The people that actually got romaine lettuce it came in a giant chunk and grilled on one side. Gordon Ramsey would be so disappointed. Next time I’m hitting up a food truck before even considering this place 😂 I strongly recommend you don’t waste your time and money coming here... oh and street parking half a mile away was such a plus!

Service was terribly slow. Took 30 minutes to get drinks and place our order. Food didn't arrive until an hour after placing the order and the server never came back during this time to refill beverages. Cheese plate was good and main courses were decent, but the service completely ruined the experience.

I came here last year for my birthday and the menu is not the same anymore. The server was disrespectful. I ordered my drink and asked the server 3 times and left without even receiving my drink. We let the manager know and she was disrespectful too trying to back the server up even though she did not do her job right. They messed up my order two times and I didn’t want to bother them anymore so I just paid and left. I will never return here again waste of time and money.

The food overall was nice. Our server was absolutely HORRIBLE. She gave us attitude our whole time at the restaurant and snapped at us when asking question about our bill. The restaurant staff was the least bit helpful and the security even asked us to leave as if we were the ones being disrespectful. We were nothing but calm and nice until our server, Laksie or Laskie, decided to ruin our night with her awful attitude. She even went as far as removing our drinks, WE PAID FOR, from the table as an act of retaliation when we told her we’d take our time after she told us to HURRY UP in a restaurant we’re paying to eat at. The supervisor was shocked after hearing about her behavior during the whole duration of our stay. Her and her attitude need to be dealt with!

Had a bad experience here. No one to take our orders. When they did bring a single order of French fries, they weren’t great. 10/10 would not recommend.

DISGUSTING. The place might look beautiful but it is rat invested. I’m surprised I haven’t seen anything about rats in any other reviews. I seen a rat right go in between the booth i was sitting and the wall. One waiter smiled while he was told. & The waiter serving us looked at us like we were crazy and moved us to a booth right next to it…. Later, while paying for our food, I noticed mouse traps behind the counter, not one but two!!!! Funny for them to have traps but yet look at us like we were crazy and making things up.
