Candy's Pizza Montague Reviews
The pizza is one of the best I've ever had in NJ. Thin & crispy!
Spent a long weekend with my boyfriend in PA yesterday and stopped at this spot on our way back to NJ. Best thin crust pizza I have had in awhile. Very nice little mom and pop joint
Best pizza in area, no questions. We don’t even bother looking at other pizza places.
Hands down, the best pizza in the area.
On the way to Milford, PA, this is theast pizza stop in NJ. It delivers! Great pizza! I always enjoy it.
Between the genuine kindness and the superior quality of the ingredients in this pizza? This Pizzeria embarrasses most of the pizzeria within 100's of miles of it. This was the absolute last place I would expect to have some of the best pizza i've had in YEARS. It's also incredibly affordable. Have the meatball sub and a large plain cheese pie with my family.
Great pizza and great people. Definitely coming back! The best sicilian with Garlic I ever tried =]
Please support this small pizza place. The sweetest family and the absolute BEST pizza, subs, and meatballs. His cooking is authentic and we love getting our takeout here frequently.
If you're craving real NJ pizza as well as sandwiches and dinners, this is the place. Lovely people, great food. You're not going to find better anywhere near this place.
My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Candy's Pizza for Montague, our 161st town. We made it to the "top" of Jersey, both geographically and geologically! Montague is the northern most town at the top of the map of the state. It also has the highest point in the state in High Point State Park. Most other states have a sign that says "Last Exit in State" before you cross the border. Jersey has a sign that says "Last PIZZA in Jersey" before you cross the border, and Candy's Pizza is that place. We enjoyed a plain pie. Definitely a good place to get your Jersey pizza fix before headed to the pizza-less territories north of the state. :)
I met the owner and he's one of the kindest people I've ever met. He has a long history of making pizzas in this area. The pizza was great and I'm told it rivals any made in New York City.
I am never in a hurry when I order from Candy’s, they are so busy because their food is very good! The owners are very sweet and they never failed to deliver on a great meal. I’m very happy that they are in the area. Keep up the good work!
This place is cash only, ATM available but only had credit card. The employee was super nice and offered to give me the pizza for whatever cash I did have but I could not accept because I only had $3. I thought that was really honorable of them, I can’t wait to go back with cash to try there pizza , heard great things!
This is our "Go To" Pizza place! We have had almost everything on the menu from the pizza, to calzones, to chicken fingers and even Philly Cheese Steaks! You just can't go wrong eating at this hidden gem! The best part, after purchasing 15 pie, the next one is on them! The only thing here better than their pies, is a FREE pie! Located on Rte 206 in Montague, easy off, easy on access! Go get you a pie or any other scrumptious menu item! You'll be glad you did!
The pizza is cooked well, he is very polite, and the price is also excellent. What more can you want, good pizza at a good price from a nice guy. We go there often and have never had a bad pie or a bad attitude.
Pizza is 5 star. Excellent thin crust with a slight sweetness to the red sauce. I've been passing this place for years, 1 tiny little sign near the road. I only had plain slices a couple of times there but plan to get a whole pie with toppings for the full test. Atmosphere is a little stark and could be updated if you're into that.
The best pizza I've experienced in Sussex county so far. Prices are very reasonable. On the other hand the sicilian had no flavor. I would not even try it if I were you.
Honest review based on my opinion. This was not it for me. Happy to see many ppl do like it but personally it was expensive for two small slices (7 bucks just one pepperoni and one plain), countertop was dirty, and was a little turned off to see the lady clean her hands on her shirt then grabbed my slices, heat them up, touched money, then went back to grab my slices out of the oven with her hands. As for the taste… super lite on the sauce, barely tasted it, pepperoni tasted like it was from those hormel bags you get at Walmart, small slices, but I gotta say it was well cooked with a nice crunch. So far best slice I’ve had in Sussex is Arturo’s in Lafayette and tj’s in wantage.
That pizza wasn't no good to be honest with you.Never eat there again
Didn't even eat here, dingy Hardly any Lighting can't see it's so dim... Not even the food had lights on it 😕 Mid Day and I was struggling to see the food im under 30yrs old with 20/20 vision btw...
I truly do not understand the hype and good reviews of this place. Its the nastiest and most disgusting pizzeria ive ever been to and ownership is no better. Left disappointed and will definitely never be back. Ill make sure to tell my friends and family because the owner acted and spoke as if he does not want any business.
I have severe food allergies so I called looking to see if they use egg in their pizza dough. I was told on the phone I was better off not ordering since they are not disclosing the recipe to me. I clarified myself saying it was for a food allergy. They responded with the same answer. Very unprofessional. So if you have food allergies I would highly suggest staying away.
