Bambu Montclair Reviews
My family has selected this as our favorite boba/drink/desert spot. Now they have bahn mi too. The customer service is always on point. They have a delicious delectable pandan waffle. They have ube too. You can add ice cream. I get a yonami every time. It’s like a delicious yogurt slush drink. Very soft creamy yummy and not too sweet. Real fruit and fresh every time. Ube waffle is addictive. Matcha iced slush tea is delicious. I’ve not tried anything I didn’t not like.
First time here and I’m impressed! Cashier was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us awesome recommendations! Will definitely be back again.
Loveeeee me some Bambu- used to drive to Biloxi just for Bambu. Now I drive less than 3 minutes away from my job. Great quality food. As a food worker I definitely think some of the crew members are very interpersonal and nice. I love that there’s front and back parking which gives lots of options for people to park. My only critical thing about this place is sometimes wait is inconsistent…. But overall I love bambu!! Here’s some bad quality menu pics for y’all lol.
The customer service was spot on! Super friendly, and a great environment! There was only a slight issue with my order and they replaced it completely free! I had a small combo with the workers and mentioned my mother had a slight headache, and they brought her a free drink to ease it! Im not saying this to make you think you will get free stuff, but they were so kind and thoughtful. Once again they were so sweet! Give it a try!
The freshly open. Of course there is a wait time that you need to have your phone to “ accompany” while waiting. ( my waiting time was 30+ min) Their dessert are really good. This is one of few place that you can find for vietnamese authenticity dessert in the area, ( keep in mind everything is brand new, the establishment itself need time to be faster) and if you are curious for boba drink, I dont recommend it. Over all, i would come back again.
We absolutely love this dessert shop! The waffles are fluffy on the inside and the drinks are just as amazing! Very refreshing, flavorful and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!
Chill little place with yummy drinks. I keep coming back for the coconut combo!

Cute new drink/sweets shop! Good selection of drinks, macaroons, mochi icecream, and more. I got the lavender milk boba tea and the jasmine milk tea, both tasted great! Very nice vibes and could see myself studying there!

Cute little boutique smoothie and dessert shop. We tried the 3/$7 macaroons (strawberry cheesecake was the best, IMO) and each had custom drinks. 10/10

Amazing spot. Chill. Drinks are good. The combo is worth it. The girl with piercings gave an astounding service. 🙏🙏🙏
I had a strange request for red beans and coconut milk for my 10 month old, and the cashier found a way to make that happen. I really appreciate the flexibility and grade A service here.

Their avocado smoothie is so good! The boba was super soft and chewy; definitely one of my favorite spots to drink an avocado smoothie. Their che is pretty good too, especially since there’s not a lot of places to get che. The worker was super nice too and gave us a limited edition cup!
I’m kinda glad I waited to try out this place because I heard it was pretty rough when they first opened. Overall, the man who took our order was goofy and held his ground even though it was busyyyy (KPOP event was being held). Got the bambu favorite, pandan waffle, and mochi. I’ll pass on the mochi because they were wayyyy too sweet, but everything else was relatively decent. I’m just glad we finally have a Bambu in New Orleans area so I don’t have to go to Houston to get my Bambu fix! I feel like they do need more staff though…I felt like it was just the owners working
Was only in there for a second, but the staff i spoke to was kind and efficient! Atmosphere is nice for being a small building on the side of veterans :) I ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea with boba pearls! It’s yummy, however it is more bitter / sour than i expected. It has some sweetness to it too. Overall nice experience!
As a che lover, I feel like it wasn't that good? I've had better at Vietnamese restaurants that didn't specialize in che. The service was good and the store itself is very pretty. It has good hangout vibes. The serving size was good, I got full before I could finish all of it. The spoon that they give us is a good size but can be a little flimsy making it uncomfortable to use.
This is the place for a sweet craving. All their drinks are good. (WARNING: DO NOT TRY JASMINE MILK TEA) I personally stick to my refreshing lavender milk tea with crystal boba accompanied by a pandan waffle with powdered sugar 10/10!! Overall this place is great, the place is always clean, and service is exceptional, especially at night! The only reason why I am rating Bambú Desserts Drinks 4 stars is because they overfill their cups with ice. (Usually 1/2 cup)

If you are a foodie trying to expand your drink pallet I suggest trying this place it's not your average Boba shop but more of a Vietnamese Che Ba Mau however they do sell Boba milk teas here as well.. it's a great place to take your teens for an afternoon or evening drink. The atmosphere is very upbeat and the staff is friendly, they are also very helpful when it comes to suggesting drinks to give you an idea of how it will taste. There is plenty of seating and the shop is very clean....go out have fun and be daring to try something new!!
Was very overwhelmed with the menu, they have a lot of selection to boba, smoothes, and chi drinks. I got the #1 special and the brown sugar milk tea. The #1 bambu special was something I didn’t expect, the basil seeds reminds me of dragon fruit seeds somewhat overpowering. The coconut water was sour. The brown sugar milk tea was good but the tapioca pearls were hard. The atmosphere is comfy. I would back again to try the halo halo!

You would think after opening for quite some time now, they would’ve worked out the kinks. Ordered 4 drinks and waited nearly an hour for it. I’m pretty sure the drink ingredients should be prepared the morning of and are assembled in containers or some sort. (If not, it needs to be) Because putting together some longan and basil seeds does not need to take close to an hour to prepare. If you have time to spare, with nothing to do and don’t feel like just playing in traffic, come get some drinks here because by the time you’ll leave with your drink(s), traffic will probably be dead by then.
This was an odd experience from the service down to the food. The employees didn’t really know what was on their menu or how to explain anything. After finally ordering, it took a long time to get our food and drinks. The milk tea was average at best & the banh mi was covered in so much sauce it felt like eating a sloppy joe. Wasn’t the worst food but wasn’t anywhere near the prices they charge.
