This place is great. We came here for my grandma‘s birthday and waiters were nice and and the waiters have comedy and they cooked food right in front of us. We have never ever sign food cooked right in front of us on our table and the chef made a heart shape with rice while he was cooking it and then he made a volcano with pickles and onions, and it will steaming places great I recommend this place and if you had more stars, I would definitely put more stars

I haven't been in awhile since they remodeled. Food is fantastic as always. Service is great too. Yum Yum sauce is better than anywhere else. and they have a sesame sauce that's better than that mustard or ginger stuff you get elsewhere. They have spicy chili paste if you ask for it. Totally worth it. Went on a Saturday at 5pm. they sat us right away. We got lucky because it got filled up quick.

This place is a legendary spot. It's been around for years. And the food is great. They cook right in front of you on a grill and you sit around the grill. It's very nice. Sometimes you get a chef that does some cool tricks and stuff. They all work hard to prepare premium quality food. I love getting an extra order of shrimp with my food. And the orange sauce is yummy. They have really good appetizers that come with the meal which include a salad and a bowl of soup. And the sea food is great. They also cook chicken and steak and they have a sushi bar as well. The restrooms are decent usually clean unless someone goes wild with the toilet paper. But the place overall is very good. I've never had a bad meal from there.

Went to Tokyo Kitchen for a birthday dinner and sat at one of the teppan tables. The chef did a few tricks, joked with us, and kept everyone entertained while cooking. Portions were big enough that we were all full, and the steak and shrimp were cooked just right. They also had a photographer walking around who snapped a picture right when the big flame went up on the grill. The printed photo they gave us looks exactly like a “birthday dinner” moment and we’re keeping it.

My family and I were in the area and stopped by without a reservation and sat us down within 2 minutes.. our waitress Julian was awesome 👌🏻 even though he was juggling a party of 25 people he didn't forget about us. First time here, and for sure won't be the last.

First time there(rememberr I'm 100 paisa/Mexicano) Place is nice food was good, I had the steak and shrimp combo...was good. It was our Company x-mas lunch ci-worker order like 5 different rolls, and they whete all good...cheff was cool.

The food was excellent. It was obvious that Tony our chef has many years experience. I had the Ribeye and sesame chicken. The ice cream choices were a plus. I enjoyed the green tea ice cream and coffee flavors. The restaurant is remodeled, super clean and orderly. The prices are reasonable compared to their competition.

This place has been open just over 4 months at the time of our visit. The staff here is wonderful. Our chef Nat was very entertaining and kept the food flowing. We had the Chicken, Shrimp and Steak platter. Everything was cooked with flair. The deep fried ice cream rounded off our meal. Absolutely delicious. The inside has been remodeled with accent lighting and beautiful painting on the walls. This is by far the best Teppan grill I've been to in awhile. The new owner Myra came out at the end of our meal to ask how everything was and it was wonderful.

Where do I begin! Our chef Alex was amazing, such a wonderful guy, made me happy, and was super fun, showed us his lava trick, and was a video game nerd and loved dads shirt, we got to talk to him about video games, the food was amazing, I got the filet mignon, helped my legally blind grandma out, and quite a reasonable price, been going here since 2012, we have watched this place change so much from new management, and much more, yet the service was always so authentic and amazing! Thank you Tokyo kitchen, love the restaurant, and such wonderful food.

Tokyo Kitchen is known for their hibachi tables. They can get busy, so get there early if that is what you like. They have excellent sushi 🍣 and there is usually little to no wait for the sushi bar. My son, DIL and grand kido took me to Toyko Kitchen for lunch. We sushis came early after 12 noon. It wasn't too busy. Our host Robert was super friendly, courteous and kept filling our drinks and constantly making sure we were good. Finally, our Shogun chef came with all his ingredients and all the food we ordered to cook. The show was good. Our Shogun chef was funny, nice Volcano show and great showmanship of his craft. The food we each order was good and cooked to your liking. My granddaughter loves the volcano part of the show. Staff was super nice, courteous and making sure everything was good. I would recommend this place.

I live really close so I have seen it by driving passed it a handful of times so I wanted to try it. I came in to get food to-go but I will definitely be back for dining in. I loved the food! it's even amazing as leftovers the next day and it's a good portion so you might have leftovers. I had to go in and order at the bar and seeing the tables, table chefs, the bar, the decor + atmosphere created here, it was very attractive and appealing. I will come back for sure + I recommend.

I’ve known about Tokyo Kitchen for years and I hate to admit it but I went there for the first time today for my birthday(better late then never right?😉)and I was really impressed with the creative decor and overall style. It created an interesting atmosphere. I’ve had other teppan spots locally and really enjoyed TK’s style and taste better then others, I also think the vibe they created with their decor enhances one’s dining experience. I ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and chicken with fried rice and veggies. Pretty bomb not gonna lie!! The filet was tender and just about melted in your mouth. My overall first time experience was a good one and highly recommend it if you’re coming through and wanna try some good teppan. Their reputation is classic and locally known so you’re gonna get what people are talking about. Happy eating fam!!

We celebrated a birthday at Tokyo Kitchen and had a great time. We were seated at a hibachi table, and the chef made the whole dinner fun with his energy and sense of humor. Everything was cooked right in front of us, and the food was fresh and flavorful especially the steak and shrimp. Portions were generous, no one left hungry. A nice surprise was the photographer who caught a perfect moment during the show and gave us a printed photo. It really captured the celebration. Overall, a fun place for special occasions and a memorable dinner.

Our chef we straight for the cooking and put on a light show. I was a bit disappointed but the food was on point. Seasoning and cook were spot on. This particular location kicked off date night for my partner and me. We've seen this location before, but never thought much of it based off of how the outside looked; nothing bad, but nothing special. How wrong we were! A typical "never judge a book by its cover" story. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately transported to an ambience reflective of a mix between japanese and Rockabilly styles: LOVED IT! In fact, my partner had leaned over and asked if I thought the restaurant would sell us one of the artwork pieces we saw. As for the food, our palate was entertained with spicy garlic edamame, a baked salmon sushi roll, and a TK Deluxe Trio of filet minion, sesame chicken, and shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection. A special shout out to the service staff and the teppan chef for great service and great food. My partner and I both agreed this is a place that we need to visit more regularly. I can't wait until your next visit!

Tokyo Kitchen offers a fantastic hibachi experience, so arriving early is a good idea if that’s your plan. The sushi is outstanding and typically served quickly at the sushi bar. Delicious food and service. Better since the new owners took over a few years ago. I read that some people say it is to noisy. Those people should know what to expect from a Teppan grill and go elsewhere. We have been here many times and it is always great

We love this place! We’ve been going here for years, even before the new owners took over. The service is not that great but the food is awesome. Definitely overpriced, especially for lunch. And $25 for an added FROZEN lobster tail! I think I’ll stick with the shrimp that comes with my meal.

Fun experience food cooked at the table and made to order the chef was entertaining the food was good I ordered the filet and scallops it come with rice, veggies, soup and salad. The garlic edamame was really good and so were the gyozas. It was fun celebrating a friend's birthday there. Service was good. One of the staff helped us take group pictures, and she was very sweet about it. The place was busy, but the ambiance was fun overall a bit loud, but we could hear each other well.

Sushi chef is always professional, remembers my orders and the specialty sauces I always like. The rest of the staff is always welcoming as well. The atmosphere is not bad. The spicy tuna roll and ponzu sauce are the best you can find And I always rate sushi restaurants on those things and if those are good usually then the rest of the food is usually good too!

Took my son there for his birthday. At first he and I were upset because we didn't know it was a shared table, however once the Waiter realized that we just came for Sushi, he was so helpful by suggesting that we seat in that area so we can get our rolls in a timely manner. The baked lobster roll was delicious. The only thing that I didn't enjoy that much was the roll with the salmon and scallops baked. The scallops could have been baked just a little bit longer. It was the texture of it. My son was only able to get one piece down. The Waiter sung Happy Birthday to my son, and before we left the gentleman who was making all of the delicious rolls gifted my son a Sushi set so he can practice using the chopsticks.

We came here a few years back. I think they have new owners now. They just had their grand opening a week ago. Our reservation was at 9:15 we didn't get seated until 10:00 I think they over booked. We went to the bar to order a drink while we waited. The bartenders who made our drinks have no clue how to make a mojito it was so nasty my husband spit it out on accident not sure what that was. My margarita was just as bad I exchanged mine for a beer and my husband exchanged his for a captain and coke.I think they our trying to hard with the drinks that their messing them up. The food was ok they don't use garlic butter like every other hibachi grill which was disappointing. I order a sushi dish that came with uni and caviar on top and the tuna didn't tast fresh at all it was slimy. I was really looking forward to this place because we liked it a few years ago. I think we'll wait a year and let them figure out the kinks and listen to their reviews.

It was a really busy place. We got their at about 630pm and it was a little busy. About 20mins later wasn't an empty seat to be found. So would recommend go early are call ahead if you have a large group. Its a Teppan style restaurant, so dinner and a show. You will be sitting with other people and if you are a larger group potentially more than one grill. They have a large bar to the right as you enter. You can sit and drink till your seating is ready. They had signature drinks, tried the Demon of Japan. They can make you just about anything you are looking for. They have a seperate sushi bar in the back. You can also order the sushi at the grills too. Did not eat any so cannot speak to it. As you the main experience, the food is what you expect. You can order a main item and you get fried rice, veggies, soup and a salad. They cook it right on the spot and you get to enjoy the show and the experience. Fun for kids and adults. The main meal I had not issues it was pretty good. The do have other items you can order along with your main meals. Either some basic appetizers or sushi. The Vegetable Egg rolls did taste frozen however, so that was a little disappointing for $10.70 for 4. Overall it was a good experience. I will go back to try some different items.

Cook was disorganized, had to reorder meats multiple times because he kept serving them to the wrong person. Servers and managers insisted on blaming the cook and his disability, yet no one enter stepped in to help. This old gem is not the same after it changed hands. Bad management all around now

R
Rob

The cook was good and entertaining until he went political. He actually referred to Donald Trump as a racist and he said if Trump had his way he wouldn't be there to cook our meal tonight. There were four of us there that support our president and we don't want to hear slurs like that while we're enjoying dinner. There was another couple there that I think was very surprised. I want to eat there again until I find out from management that this will not be repeated. This needs to stop in this country! Especially in a place of entertainment. I don't know the guy's name but I have his picture if management is interested in getting this review down and taking care of the situation.

So the night started off bad because they had some idiot with a really bad attitude as the host that greets and sits you down. We literally had just walked in and he was having a attitude with the party before us and with us. My Gf really wanted to eat there due to meeting up with her friend if not I would have left. The waiter we had also had a bad attitude and was walking around all angry with everyone. The only redeeming this this restaurant had was the chef that prepared our meal at the table was nice and entertaining. I would definitely recommend people go to Shogun in LA Verne or somewhere else and skip this place.
