We love stopping here when on a walk along the rec trail! Their drip coffee is delicious as well as their pastries! The plaza is also a great place to catch some sun (when its out) and see otters out in the bay!

Nice coffee shop with views of the bay. Indoor and outdoor seating. We got the breakfast burritos that was large and full of flavor. It had chorizo with potatoes and cheese. My wife got the dirty chai and said it was the sweetest chai she's had. She would recommend you try. I got the cold brew.

We stopped for a latte, matcha latte,. Grand crimson English black tea with a strong bite. Of course we bought the Tidal Cafe title chocolate bar we came at the right time because within minutes the accessible line was packed. We enjoyed the covered out door accessible seating next to the. Dolphin statue with ocean view Accessible restrooms are next door in hotel. Van accessible parking in area garage.

Mocha latte is good! Way better than Starbucks in my opinion. You can taste the actual mocha chocolate more than the sugar unlike, Starbucks.

Visited Monterey for the first time and came upon this place by chance. Go here on your next visit!!!! Service was lightning fast, attendants were extremely kind, the inside decor is beautiful, and the food and coffee genuinely taste so SO good!!! Highly recommend!!

This coffee shop is in such a perfect spot, it’s right next to the Monterey Plaza Hotel. There’s seating both inside and out, and the outdoor area is especially nice. If you walk just a bit around the corner, you get a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. The shop itself is clean, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I had the dirty chai, which was delicious, and my husband ordered a cappuccino that he really enjoyed. Overall, just a great little place to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Picked up some delicious sweets and coffee latte. My granddaughter who loves chocolate croissants gives it a five! The atmosphere could not be any better. Sitting on the open air patio and a beautiful Monterey Bay view could not be better.

Cute coffee shop with lots of outdoor seating. Had an iced caramel latte and the coffee was good. The food was okay but they were out of a lot of breakfast options by 10:30am on a Weekday.

My favorite coffee shop on the peninsula. If you like to lounge and relax at coffee shops this is it! Great views of cannery row and the monterey bay, excellent mocha and pastries, comfortable seating with good back support and excellent service as well.

Awesome location! Their almond croissant is the best I’ve ever had, a cappuccino along with it goes really well. They also give butter packets on the side for any kind of croissant that you order, which is good. Even though the place is closer to the bay aquarium, their menu items are reasonably priced which is great. I would come here again for the almond croissant.

Great place for a quick coffee! Nestled right into the epicenter of the Monterey Portola hotel. With beautiful views of the Monterey Bay how to clear morning. White Mocha with 3 shots is my go to when I stray away from just conventional black coffee. Service is what you expect quick In and Out. Parking is the worst as you have to pay for parking in this usually busy area that's very touristy. If you can get there early enough Park quickly and get out or your coffee and you should be all right after 10:00 a.m. you most likely want to find a parking nearby.

Bit on the pricey side especially for small coffee sizes. Ham and cheese croissant and breakfast burrito was very good. Very limited seating inside but BEAUTIFUL patio

This is a lovely spot with a gorgeous ocean view. The coffee is pretty good, but the pain au chocolat I had tasted a bit old or like it came from a factory. I can’t really comment on the other items. The staff seemed a bit distracted, more caught up in their own conversations than focused on the customers.

The drip coffee (Steinbeck blend) and Mocha were very good. We brought home some whole beans of the Steinbeck and it was good but very strong. The outdoor area is great. There are steps open to the public that take you down to some beautiful views.

A Mixed Experience at Tidal Coffee: Scenic Views, Limited Menu Options, and Parking Predicaments My visit to Tidal Coffee left me with mixed feelings. Sunday at 10 am, I was met with a bustling atmosphere, indicating its popularity. However, disappointment struck when I discovered that many items from their menu were unavailable, with only three salted options amidst a sea of sweets. Despite the limited selection, the outdoor seating area boasted a picturesque ocean view and a charming water fountain, making it an enticing spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. However, the presence of persistent birds eyeing my meal added a challenge to the dining experience, but it’s ok I love birds. Additionally, parking proved to be a mixed bag. While the availability was decent, at $1.50 per hour at the meter, the ever-watchful ticket guy kept patrons on their toes, reminding us not to forget to pay. In summary, Tidal Coffee offers a scenic ambiance and a bustling atmosphere, but improvements are needed in menu availability, bird control, and parking convenience to fully enhance the customer experience.

Ordered an iced vanilla latte with cold foam. The syrup was not mixed and there was less than an inch of cold foam. Which was honestly just air, I’m not sure why our barista called it cold foam. But the barista was very nice The coffee was okay, it’s not overly bitter and we were happy it wasn’t sour. It’s not great quality coffee. The view was nice though.

The price of this coffee is too dang high for the quality. $10 for a cappuccino with an extra shot. And it just tastes okay. People are nice. Hope they’re getting paid well.

cappuccino composition was 70% liquid coffee, 30% airy foam on top Coffee quality was about 3/5. Service and atmosphere are nice

Very beautiful spot!! Nice outdoor patio to enjoy the food and coffee. Now the service was not enjoyable the staff were pretty rude and wasn’t even busy at all. Tidal coffee does not give that welcoming feeling you would typically get at these cute local coffee shops We ordered the a turkey BLT panini very good price highly but ocean front so expected for all food to be highly priced Also got a iced white mocha and a chai latte iced the coffees were delicious and very enjoyable This place has everything going on for it but the service has to take away a few stars

Everything was pre-made (including the salmon bagel and breakfast sandwiches) so the only thing we could get was the fruit (due to an onion allergy). The coffee and matcha were very bland, and they forgot to put sweetener in my friends drink. Would not recommend.

What a disaster....I requested a breakfast item....none left...chose another which was the same choice as my husband, only one left. So I chose a third item and sat outside. Smoked salmon bagel arrived but was a plain bagel in a brown bag with a pot of cream cheese, no knife to spread. I returned the item stating it should have been a smoked salmon bagel only to be told there were none left! They said I could choose something else but I stated everything that I wanted was not available. Considering the menu only had 6 or 7 items and the three I had chosen were unavailable my choices were limited to a plain bagel or some fruit. They offered a refund which I took. They even screwed up the person's order behind me. 6 staff behind the counter, not even 6 customers in the cafe.... absolutely terrible service. Coffee was good.

I HAD really high expectations for this place. Saw great reviews, lots of people on the beach walking around with a cup of their coffee, fantastic beachfront location, what's not to love? Unfortunately a lot. Visited around 10 AM on a Saturday. Line was moving fairly well. Over half the items in the food display case were unavailable. I kept things simple, just a hot vanilla latte and a TOASTED bagel with cream cheese. Coffee took longer than it should have. They forgot to add vanilla. I continue waiting for the bagel, should be any minute now. After about 10 minutes, I go up and ask where it is. Toasting a bagel shouldn't take too long right. Couple minutes later, a bagel appears, but its for the people 3 spots behind mine. Sheesh. Finally my bagel came out... untoasted. Rather, it had been "heated up" and was soft all around. What a disappointment.
