Pan e Vino Monterosso al Mare Reviews
We set inside for almost 2 hours while it was raining and we loved every minute of it! The food was so tasty and Italian just what you can expect from a place called a nouteca. The house white wine is a great value for money and we recommend shearing the plants:)
The waitresses and bosses were so nice !!! Made us feel home after 1 visit! Their drinks are amazing and a very reasonable price ! The vibes there are so cosy! I would 1000% recommend! They have my entire heart and would love to visit again in the future ❤️
We booked the 5 wine tasting with food for each wine. Our host Susy was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The experience was informative, unhurried and extremely enjoyable. We were given an interesting history of the wine growing of the area and how this ties in with the wines we tasted. Food that was served with each wine was very tasty, some slightly unusual but all good quality and well presented. Lovely ambience to the venue. Very good value for money. A highly enjoyable 2-3hours. Would highly recommend.
Definitely have lunch/early dinner here! I’ve been in Italy for 8 days, eating bruschetta every day, and this is the best bruschetta I’ve had. Dozens of options including gluten free. Pair it with a glass of local wine (€5-8) exclusive to cinque terra and it’s perfect for your trip here. Small, quaint, doesn’t feel too touristy, perfect for lunch or an apperitivo, great for an early dinner as well. They also sell ALL of the local wines and you can tell they have a personal relationship with the local vineyards food makers.
We very much enjoyed our visit to Enoteca Internazionale. Amazing selection of wines - bought some y the glass and also got a white wine flight. Loved their bruschetta - tomatoes and anchovies was my favourite. I can see why reviews are somewhat mixed. Some waiters are amazing. Some - not so much. We walked up to the place around 12:05. It was open. A male waiter said “service will start in 30 minutes”. We were about to walk away. A female waiter came out and asked if we wanted a table and sat us down straight away. She (Gioia) and another female waitress were lovely. I guess we were lucky we didn’t get the male waiter. Lovely ambiance. Very much what we were after in Monterosso.
Came here on a recommendation from travel expert Rick Steves and it did not disappoint! This place is a great people watching spot in the middle of the Cinque Terre town of Monterosso. It was our last day and we knew we wanted to visit for the famous Sciacchetra. We got a little meat and cheese platter that came with some bread and jam. Simple but so good! The star was definitely the Sciacchetra- which is a special dessert wine from this region. We ended up taking a bottle home from this as a souvenir! It’s usually served with a little biscotti- like cookie. I’ve looked for this wine in the U.S. and it’s hard to find! I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area.
Great atmosphere with great local (Cinque Terre) wines and food! They have a lot of wines options ans also some wine tasting options (white and red wine). I was sitting in a "distant" table so sometime I had to stand up and go inside to ask for somethin, once the waiter would take time to come. But beside that, totally recommend it! And the price is also good, ranging from 20-50€, for two, depending on how much wine you want to have 😅
We were visiting the town for the day and someone local suggested we try this place for lunch. It’s perfect for a midday meal - has incredible selection of bruschetta and the best fresh cheese and pesto. We also tried the lemon gose beer which was local to the region - it was AMAZING and we were trying to figure out how we would get extra bottles home in our suitcase. They have an amazing selection of wines, liquors and food inside. We ended up buying lemon gin which was delicious when we tried a few weeks later. Before the place opens for lunch, they’ll have small “reserved” signs on each table out front - they open at 12:30 pm, so try stopped by about 30 minutes before to ask for a table and give your name. Definitely come before 1 pm or you will be waiting for a table.
Great wine bar with a large selection of wines and food. We came in the mid afternoon and started with a couple glasses of wine and a shared toast tasting board then ordered a tasting flight of the local dessert wines that were out of this world good! If you like sweet wines don't pass up tring one or all of the local sweet wines.
Must do experience in Chinque Terre - tasting local white wines from each of the 5 towns! Same grapes different flavors and characters! Very informative introduction from the sommelier. Enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and ambiance of the place. Kudos to the contractors, winemakers and the chef! 🥂
Was a great experience while in Monterosso Al Mare to try 5 different white wines from the 5 towns of Cinque Terre. They were all made from the same grape but all quite different. We had a lemon spritz here also which was delicious and refreshing. There is a good variety of food and the bruschetta was tasty. Staff were knowledgeable.
I went at lunchtime so understandably it was busy. It seemed like there was only one person working and she had to do all the tastings:/ poor girl. She set out the glasses explained the wines to me and left me to my devices which was perfect. The bruschetta was amazing. Wait time to be served- not so much.
My dad got a beer here while I did a tasting flight of 5 wines (white/red/dessert). We are from Sonoma County, so the wines were sub-par. They did give healthy pours for the tasting which was nice. The dessert wine was delicious and we got two bottles to take home. This is their most expensive wine, as I imagine that the majority of what they sell. We got another wine to take back to our AirBnB and ended up pouring it down the drain. The beer my dad drank was okay. The charcuterie and cheese was delicious. We would recommend dining here for their charcuterie and sipping on their dessert wine. We were sat down rather quickly but the service was slow. The waitress was very friendly, but took a long time to help us (as she was very busy). It looked like a family-run business. There was one woman at the check out register sitting there chatting it up with a customer sitting nearby, another man in the back who eventually helped us at the register (also very nice), and the poor waitress doing everything imaginable. For the price per person I am choosing a more expensive option, as the dessert wine we chose was 75€ apiece. The charcuterie was reasonably priced.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Enoteca Internazionale in Monterosso al Mare was truly unpleasant. We were excited to enjoy a glass of wine and some local food, but the owner and staff were shockingly rude. We politely asked for a table and were told no without any explanation, even though several tables were visibly free. The dismissive attitude and lack of basic hospitality were disappointing, especially in a place known for warm Italian welcomes. I would not recommend this establishment — there are plenty of other wonderful spots in Monterosso with great service and atmosphere.
