Vitantonio's Pizza Monza Reviews
Ci torno sempre volentieri.
Excellent steak, quality ingredients, and a friendly owner: what more could you ask for? For me, the best steak in Monza.
Excellent pizza by the slice...the owner is incredibly kind!!! I've eaten in and ordered takeout...it arrives still hot!!! Top!
A small place (expanding soon) but intimate and charming. I'd also like to add Vitantonio's empathy, which is always happy to stop and chat. Vitantonio's pizza, in my opinion, is the best slice in Monza and among the best I've ever tasted. The highlight is their home delivery: they're always on time, and the pizza comes out of a small oven on their van, so it arrives nice and hot. A unique service like nothing I've ever seen! Needless to mention the quality/price ratio, absolutely extraordinary. Applause!!!
Excellent pizza by the slice and appetizers.
The owner is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work, and this can be seen and felt in the quality of the pizza he produces—for me, the best deep-dish pizza in Monza.
We're from the province of Novara, and every time we're passing through, we go a few extra kilometers to try a pizza that's (unfortunately) hard to find anywhere else. Truly delicious, light, soft, and with a crunchy crust, extraordinary!
The pizza by the slice is really good, soft and light. The dough is remarkable. The place is small but decent...and the welcome is friendly. I didn't rate the service because, for this type of place, you serve yourself.
Vitantonio's legendary restaurant, a long-standing institution serving pizza by the slice, made with top-quality ingredients and specialty cured meats. Well-known among pizza lovers in Monza and Milan for its friendly, warm welcome. Try it and save it to your favorites.
From Malibu Beach, California.....We enjoyed our time back in my wife's HOME TOWN OF MONZA and where she grew up AGRATE BRIANZA. Italia! It sure has changed since 1974 and there are fewer and fewer 'Italians' but, I shall always remember the great times we had in Milano. My work for John Deere Corp., Europe and MIDEC SPA of Milano, Trezzano...and the3 exports from Italy to USA of Patio Furniture and Plastics Products from GIO'STYLE, MILANO. It has all changed now as things do.....Thank you for the memories!!!James and Mariangela, Malibu, California
This small place is easily overlooked given its proximity to another more famous place. But it's worth it once you find it. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, and the wait is a bit long, perhaps due to the large volume of takeout. The pan-fried pizza is thick and soft. The dough is good, though not exceptional, not greasy, and easily digestible, which, coming from someone who sometimes has trouble digesting water, is saying something. The ingredients are definitely top-quality and generously served on slices. I ordered the anchovy slice with beautiful, firm, large, and flavorful anchovy fillets. Looking around, I saw delicious slices filled with prosciutto, capocollo, and various other ingredients. I'll definitely be back.
For us, home delivery means at least to the stairwell and not to the street beyond the courtyard. Good pizza!!!
Had dinner with colleagues; overall, it was a positive experience. The restaurant's appearance, both inside and out, is quite simple and unpretentious. The menu focuses primarily on burgers and pizza by the slice, with several variations. I ordered a generous slice of bresaola, arugula, and parmesan cheese; it looked beautiful and tasted satisfying. The mixed antipasto included lightly salted fries and croquettes, and Ascoli-style olives, which could have been fried a little more. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I don't know what kind of slices the people who appreciate this place are used to, but my experience was quite disappointing. I had a slice of Margherita, and the only thing that was decent was the mozzarella, but otherwise... the tomato sauce was undercooked, with the typical flavor of purée poured from a bottle, a bit acidic and bland (other places may use similar-quality purées, but they season it hours in advance with oil, salt, and basil, which obviously makes it all a bit tastier). The main problem, however, was the amount of oil on the bottom of the pizza, which was truly DEEP with oil (which, obviously, having been cooked, wasn't exactly pleasant in the mouth). Also, unlike other places where they might use a lot of oil to make the bottom crispy but at least let it brown properly, here the bottom was still very pale, whitish, and unappealing. So, the pizza was greasy but not particularly appetizing. For goodness sake, for €6 you get an edible product. I'm not saying you'll feel sick or anything, but it's definitely not a place I'd return to. Update in response: I said the bottom of the pizza is pale, not the oil. As for the tomato sauce, of course it's seasoned; you learn the ropes. As for the review, it wasn't written when the place was closed, but shortly before. As for the price, I can confirm I paid €6 (and even €5 for such quality would still be too much).
