Sin Nombre Morelia Reviews
I really like their cocktails because they're Sinaloa style, meaning without ketchup.
I've been a customer since they opened (several years ago). It's such a great place that if I want seafood, I only go to Mariscos Sin Nombre. The sea bass ceviche is delicious... Everything is delicious.
A very enjoyable and clean place to eat in Fuentes de Morelia! The oyster broth is delicious, and the owner is very attentive and friendly!
The seafood was very well prepared, with a strong seafood flavor. The portions were excellent. The service was also very good; everyone was very friendly and attentive. The prices are fair. I recommend the tostada without a name.
We had been several times and were starting to think they were a bit stingy with the portions, but we went back and they improved the amount of food on the plates, which we think is great! The service was very friendly, but one girl can't handle the whole restaurant; hopefully they'll improve in that area. Otherwise, highly recommended: great flavor, seasoning, and cleanliness!
All that's missing is for them to prepare the cocktail with ketchup, since they prepare it like they do in the north of the country, like aguachile.
Good seasoning, generous portions, and affordable prices. Just one observation: they need more servers to properly serve the tables. There's only one waitress for each table; she's busy, but she does fail to bring drinks when you ask for them. Overall, it's good.
Although small, it's a very pleasant place. The service is excellent, and they offer a wide range of dishes. Personally, I prefer any kind of shrimp, and they're excellent with the sweet and sour sauces. They also offer different types of fish.
I'll tell you about my experience. When I arrived, the place was empty, so I decided to sit at the table near the food preparation area to see how they prepared it. By the way, the place is very clean. I ordered a vuelta a la vida, which is what I usually order whenever I'm at a place like this (a restaurant or seafood stand). The service is good, and the wait time for your dish is average, as long as there aren't too many diners. I could see from my table that only one person prepares the cold dishes, in the order they're ordered, which means that if there are many cold dishes ordered, it takes longer than usual. The seafood isn't bad, but it's missing something. My vuelta a la vida actually tasted more like cucumber and onion than seafood.
It started well. Now the food is expensive, the service is barely good, and it looks poorly maintained.
The food is good, although the prices of the main dishes have gone up considerably. You'd find those prices at more modern and attractive restaurants located in shopping centers or more centrally located. There's only one restroom for men and women, and it's very run-down. For those prices, they could easily maintain it better, especially since they charge like a fancy restaurant, yet it's in a working-class neighborhood. One suggestion is to stop roasting chili peppers, as it's extremely annoying for customers, especially seniors and children. The food is very good, and the staff is very helpful. The takeout service needs to be reviewed. They don't provide lemons or napkins.
While I can see they're putting in a lot of effort, the truth is that the food here left a lot to be desired. Food: The food arrived somewhere between lukewarm and cold. Bland. Portions: What's for 3 people is for 2. What's for 2 people is for 1. Service: The waiter doesn't know what each dish is. The wait time for our food has ranged from 20 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. We've been served dishes that even the waitress doesn't know what they are (except for us). And the food was served without cutlery. I hope they can improve on a future visit.
Terrible service. They treat you like they're doing you a favor, and the side dishes are tiny for the price. I don't recommend it. This is the second time I've been, and this last time was just to give it another chance; I thought the first time was just a one-off.
The worst steak I've ever had. Seriously, don't order it. 170 pesos for a tiny piece of Basa fillet. It was incredibly watery and oily. The side dishes were awful, and it wasn't enough for one person. Their coconut water tasted incredibly artificial; we ordered a pitcher, and half of it was ice. The service was terrible. They brought my steak after my partner had already finished their meal. For that price, you can go to much better places in every way. The prices are high for the location, especially considering the poor quality of the fish.
