Villalongín Morelia Reviews
The place is super nice. The food is great and the serving is generous. The manager Ale is great and so hospitable. Our first time here with friends and for sure going back soon.
Best Louisiana Waffles and Chicken I've ever had (and I'm a foodie)! Perfect level of spice! Loved it, and definitely going back!💞
If I could give 10 stars, I would! This was by far the best service I had in LA. They were super friendly, attentive, fast. The food was fantastic, literally everything we ordered was wonderful (I’m pregnant and picky with food). Unfortunately we were too hungry to take pictures but seriously, don’t think twice. Just GO! you will have a great time and a happy stomach. 🩷 Thanks Ale!!!
Truly one of the BEST restaurants, and I do not say that lightly! Whenever I am visiting the area, I go out of my way to come here. Great menu, extremely nice and efficient staff. They truly take pride in their work. The food is always fresh and beyond my expectations. Love love LOVE this place!!
Brü’s Wiffle in Santa Monica is a fantastic spot with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The chai latte was absolutely amazing—perfectly spiced, smooth, and comforting. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a great vibe. Service is also super fast, making it an ideal place for a quick stop or a relaxed coffee break. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great drink and a warm, inviting environment!
One word...AMAZING!!!! You have to try this place! It is an intimate place, but I would not change anything about it. Everything just works, the staff, the food, the location. I would definitely return to Bru's Wiffle if I were in the area. Everyone in my party enjoyed our food. We had great conversations, and the server was attentive. You all are killing it! Great job!!!
Probably the best breakfast I've had from Santa Monica since being here! My sister and i walked in and were able to get a table right away! The server was super nice and attentitive, and my breakfast pasta was huge! My sister ordered some breakfast toast and i got pasta and it was super worth it. I cant wait to come back to Santa Monica amd eat here again, totally made our day! We ordered: Banana milk (not too sweet, perfect) Banana cream latte (not too sweet, more espresso-tasting which was great in my book) Bloody Mary (the soju was really nice!) Vanilla latte (it had a cute cat on it and the vanilla syrup was suuuuper good!) Breakfast pasta (be prepared this is a ton of food, enough to share between two people as a light meal or a super heavy meal on your own) Truffle egg toast (this was so good omg)
Tourist/not local review: Went during the week on Thurs and Fri for breakfast. No wait times either day. Sat outside first day and inside second day. Great staff and delicious food. Love the coffee! Blankies are amazing, fresh and sweetest strawberries! Potatoes reminded me of home, def recommend if you like breakfast potatoes. The biggie breakfast is awesome. Turkey sausage tasted like regular sausage. The French toast spin with cinnamon sourdough is delicious, def recommend with bananas. The chicken omelet is amazing, merge of chicken enchiladas and traditional omelette, def recommend if you want to try something new.
We arrived for brunch around 11:45am and were sat right away. The host and servers were all attentive and friendly. The menu is massive with many choices! The breakfast sando is packed with protein; the croissant is fresh and buttery. I added avocado to mine, and chose the breakfast potatoes. These were delicious and reminded me of a homemade version of potatoes O’Brien. The hash & Benny was also yummy with a Smokey flavored followed by a mild kick. The green wellness drink was also refreshing and tasted with a hint of orange flavoring.
Went on a Sunday morning and our wait was about 30 min. Circled around for street parking for a bit but that's expected for this area. Once seated we were able to order pretty quickly. Servers were friendly, outdoor seating in the back was nice given it was a beautiful late morning/afternoon. There were 3 of us and we wanted to try a bunch of items on the menu since it was our first time. We ordered popcorn chicken, cheesy hash, shakshuka, bru's French toast and the pizza omelet. We finished off everything! The pizza omelet tasted so much like pizza that I didn't miss the crust. Will definitely go back when in LA.
I came here for brunch on a Saturday. It was surprisingly not too busy and I ordered the red velvet waffle. It was just the right size, with a good amount of blueberries. The cream cheese frosting on top was delicious! We also tried the avocado fries which were good but I wish that there was another dressing to dip them in. I will be back to try some of the other brunch items on the menu. Despite it not being so busy, it did take some time for me to get a refill of my iced tea.
Chicken & Waffles was good and crispy. The chicken was slightly dry but still good. Great pleasant atmosphere with nice background music.
Stopped here on the way to the beach and was a good experience. The restaurant had good food and drink options. Latte was good. Food was not anything special but it was made very well. The staff was nice and hard working. We sat inside but found out there is an outdoor patio in the back. Would recommend Bru's to anyone.
Honestly, I don’t think I saw this place at its full potential, but I will give you an overview of my personal experience. Hopefully you can find It useful. Food: I stumbled upon Bru’s Wiffle while looking for a restaurant with French toast. This place has a number of French toast options. I chose the Honey Poppers French Toast. These are bite-size crispy chicken in housemade siracha & louisiana hot sauce. I wasn’t impressed. The French Toast was thin and flimsy. It tasted like It was made on sandwich bread. I should’ve known better than to get chicken poppers. I asked for a of chicken thigh. It was juicy and crunchy. Had I known better, I would’ve chosen this chicken option to begin with. Next, I ordered an avocado toast topped with eggs. The melted cheese is a great addition to this dish. However, I prefer sliced avocado rather than the avocado spread. My partner had the Basil Pesto Crispy Polenta Avocado Toast with egg. This is a gluten free meal. The egg is an add on to both Avocado toast options. Beverage: This place has a Watermelon Mimosa that I’ve been trying to imitate for the last four days. It was sweet and fruity. Payment: Bru’s Wiffle doesn’t accept American Express. As an Amex Gold Member, one of the benefits of the card is the 4X points at restaurants. If this was a quick order to go, I wouldn’t mind. But, on an $150 bill, knowing this sooner would’ve probably impacted my choice to visit. Overall, I think that this restaurant had some options would be pretty tasteful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try them during this visit.
Haven’t been back to Bru’s in a minute. The waffles and chicken always hit and looks like they still do! This time around we pivoted and tried something different as their menu has a GRAND selection. Upon going to the gender neutral bathrooms, I noticed that they had an outdoor seating patio now and that the interior wasn’t as crowded. That means less lines and more immediate service. We were fortunate to get our food and drinks within a short span of time.
Popular brunch spot known for fried chicken and waffles. Came here on a Sunday around noon and the place was bustling. Indoor seating available. Street parking. They do serve alcohol. Credit cards accepted. I had the Dwight’s special which came with two pieces of chicken (boneless) and your choice of waffle or French toast. I prefer the waffles. The syrup comes on the side along with a ranch and an aioli. I also had the lavender honey latte, which was on the sweeter side and lighter on the lavender, but still tasty. It came with a little cat design which was super cute.
We went for brunch on Sunday around noon, there was a wait line, it took around 20 minutes to get a table. The chimichanga was great, the fried chicken with cheesy Hashbrowns was really good, my only complaint is that they give such a small portion of hashbrowns compared to the size of the chicken. The bloody Mary was pretty good. The lavender mimosa wouldn't recommend, I love all lavender but the syrup wasn't good at all. The hot chocolate/mocca was delicious. Nice place but Will not return.
I got the appetizer which was a baked avocado with smoked salmon, an egg, and mozzarella cheese. The cheese wasn’t quite melted all the way, I would say my dish was good, not amazing though. My friend got the chicken stack and he loved it, the fries were very good. I also got a gluten free waffle, it was tasty but fell apart, not a very consistent waffle. I also got a matcha, which was good, a little too sweet for my taste but I enjoyed it.
Cool ambiance. Came here for the Gluten Free waffle and Gluten Free fried chicken. Was really good overall. The waffle was a little dry, but nothing unbearable. The chicken was great and the sauce for an excellent compliment. Cool vibe in the restaurant as well. The hash with eggs was by far the best dish we had. Excellent melding of flavors. Would return.
Really tasty waffles, terrible long wait for the food to come out (since sitting, at least 40 mins till appetizer came out after we asked nicely when our food would be out). We definitely went at the wrong time and day cause they had a big delivery going on and it created a massive delay with everyone's order. While waiting, I had their mocha and it was DEElicious! The rich chocolate taste with espresso was excellent and after having tasted my hubby's bloody Mary (margarita?), the mocha tasted even better cause of the kick from the spice. Overall tasty food, service was great except the staff were definitely overworked.
