Betsy’s Restaurant Morgan Hill Reviews
Damn!!! This place was bomb 💣 I found out it is family own and it seemed like the whole family was working!! Service was great. They recommended the chicken fried steak and eggs and the chili Verde with eggs and both were on point!!! My step daughter had the bacon cheese burger and it was goooood!!! We will definitely be going back!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Ate here before heading to Yosemite. Service was quick and friendly, great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Had the Chile Verde burrito which was large enough to split and the chocolate chip pancakes was the perfect finisher. Would come back
Great food, friendly staff, and fast service. My only complaint is that I don't live closer! But Betsy's made a surprising highlight of our road trip.
The food portions are awesome. They are not stingy or overpriced. The coffee is always fresh & great. Free refills, anyone? :) The chorizo pile is great after a hike. The Chile verde with eggs is also great for a kick of spice and warm tortillas. Come for the food, stay for the small town vibes. There’s new restaurants in town but the difference is the taste and the homemade feeling. The atmosphere here is home-y with friendly smiles, warm conversations, and kind service.
This is American diner food...it's a little hidden by the Bowling alley but the locals know it well. The tables turn quickly, so don't worry about waiting in line. Recommend the Rueben and Patty Melt/they make a great Potato Salad!
Betsy's is attached to a bowling alley. When the gods align and both Betsy's and the alley are open, you can order food while sitting around the ball return thingy. Food is homemade kind of great. I've only had breakfast there, but everything is tasty and the omelets fluffy. The service is friendly and efficient - this is probably the best thing about Betsy's. The staff seems to know all the customers and yet still likes them. Their take out service is big and easy.
Came here during a business trip with a total of 5 people. All of us loved our dishes, the service and atmosphere. The waitress was so friendly and attentive. I personally never had to beg for a coffee refill like at most other restaurants. That's a huge plus. The prices are decent, parking is to. I can't think of one thing to complain about. I would definitely go back and highly recommend to others.
Had a great breakfast here. The service was fantastic. One of the owners accommodated a special request from our party and really when out of her way to make us happy.
My brother and I came to town from Bakersfield and stopped here for a quick lunch. There is a very welcoming hometown diner vibe and everyone was very kind. Our server was a very sweet latina, she was great and the rest of the crew is just as attentive. The food was so good, I got a steak sandwich and it was an entire NY steak on a roll, the fries are fire. My brother got the Bacon Chzburger and onion rings, also delicious. I highly recommend this place
Came in around 7:30am on a friday. No problems with the free parking lot. We were immediately seated when we got in. Food was lovely, got a chicken fries steak, sausage breakfast, chorizo breakfast and a corned beef breakfast. Food was cook well, fresh and crispy. Service was lovely, we were checked in on often and the servers were very cheerful and personable. Atmosphere was great, no intrusive music and great for conversations between groups of people.
Known in the area as a top destination for breakfast in Morgan Hill. Operated by generations of Betsy's family. Wonderful service, plentiful plates of food and you'll find Betsy there on Sunday's. If you pull up and see a large group of people waiting to get in, don't drive away. Bring a cup of coffee to sip while you wait, but don't worry, the wait won't be unbearable, the turn around is pretty fast. Not sure why it's labeled a lounge here, the lounge is in the bowling alley next door. I love the chicken fried steak, comes with a knife but cuts with a fork. My wife loves the scrambles. I haven't had a bad plate of anything. It's not a Mexican restaurant, but they also serve menudo and chile verde (get it with half rice and half potatoes).
Wow just wow what an amazing breakfast we had! Hard to describe the atmosphere of this family owned business. It had the charm of an old style diner. Stellar service by Randa! Order was taken and food was served promptly. My daughter’s french fries were hot and crispy! She loved her Southern Benedict and she’s a connoisseur. I had the chili verde burrito. That thing was as big as my head and weighed ten pounds. I’ll get two more meals out of it. The sauce was spectacular! The meat was tender and the potatoes perfectly cooked. I saw a club sandwich on a plate and it was huge! This is a very special place. I will be back and bringing my friends and family! Thank you!
Cute little restaurant with friendly staff and good food. I felt like I was at my Tia's house, the ladies that helped us were so nice and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. When I went, it was very busy but all the staff remained calm and just worked through it perfectly. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast, it was tasty, it was a real cube steak, not the fake ones. The gravy could use a little more homemade flavor to take it to the next level. Don't be scared by the eggs in the picture, I ordered them over hard on purpose lol.
I loved the atmosphere! Especially since this is a family owned business with the owners on the floor working! And even better, the food was fantastic! There is a huge selection for both breakfast and lunch! I had the Chicken Fried Steak, made with a New York steak, and delicious country gravy, great hash browns and fantastic pancakes! The other dish, The Southern Breakfast, had 2 over easy eggs, bacon, biscuit and gravy. We also ordered a hamburger pattie to split! Our server, Rachel, was excellent and very professional! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and rate it a 5 out of 5!
This may be the best breakfast place in the South Bay. Betsy's is located in a shopping plaza off Tennant Ave in Morgan Hill. They have plenty of parking and are open for breakfast and lunch. Betsy's can get packed during breakfast even on weekdays so plan accordingly. They do offer take out if you're like me and don't like to wait. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. I would highly recommend trying the best chile verde in the entire Bay Area! The pork in the chile verde is always cooked to perfection and falls apart. The sauce itself has a nice kick to it and always packed full of flavor. I usually cover everything in the sauce! Like most breakfast places they will cook your eggs however you ask even over medium. I have tried other breakfast options at Betsy's and everything is always cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong with either the country potatoes or hash browns. The food comes out quick once they take your order but service can get slow in between paying and actually ordering the food. If you're in the South County area and looking for an awesome breakfast place this is the place.
Was an alright place that my brother, my daughter and I went to while I was visiting Cali. It is pretty expensive though. Food was eh. Definitely have had better. Sausage links tasted different and weren't hot. Spent $70 for two plates and one child's plate. That's pretty pricey for a breakfast place in my opinion.
