Bridget’s Market Mountain View Reviews
Great thing to do on a Sunday morning with family. Extensive selection but some repetition, such as fruit. Not much ready to eat stands and parking can be a challenge.
CalTrain Parking Lot packed with food stalls and vendors. A wide variety of choices from fresh meats to fresh produce. Some really good ready to eat hot food stalls. My favorites: Garden to Grill's burgers! and Farm Chick for bone broth ingredients. Get here early (9am) to get in and get out with what you came for. Market gets packed as the day wears on. Parking is difficult to find later in the day as well.
Favorite farmers market in the bay area . So many vendors and options to pick from. Very well organized.
I've been here before, everyone is very friendly and polite. I bought a steamed bun but was short on money, and the vendor still sold it to me. a nice memory.
The sheer amount of different stands really makes this place a great area to buy a variety of fresh produce and pastries. I would highly recommend this place for a fun family activity where everyone can try something new whether it’s sheep yogurt or cold drinking chocolate. I’m making this a new Sunday routine!
Recently we discovered Mountain view farmers market, and it's become our go-to spot for fresh, locally grown produce... and it's always a great experience.
Love the vibrant energy and freshness at this farmers market! The produce and local goods feel so full of life, and the setting right in downtown Palo Alto makes it extra convenient. Parking is surprisingly easy with plenty of spaces nearby, which makes the visit stress-free. One of my favorite parts is seeing all the pets strolling around with their owners—it adds such a warm, community vibe. A perfect weekend spot to pick up something delicious, support local vendors, and enjoy the atmosphere!
I recently visited the Mountain View Farmers’ Market, and I’m so glad I did—it’s officially my new favorite farmers market in the Bay Area! What really stood out to me was the excellent selection of organic fruits and vegetables. Everything looked incredibly fresh and vibrant, and you can really taste the difference. Whether you're into seasonal produce or just trying to eat cleaner, this market delivers on quality. I was also impressed by the beautiful variety of plants and flowers available. From blooming bouquets to garden-ready herbs and succulents, there’s something here for plant lovers and weekend gardeners alike. Another bonus is the convenient location—right next to the Mountain View Caltrain station. Super easy to get to whether you're walking, biking, or taking public transit. The vendors are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s a great mix of local products, baked goods, and prepared foods to round out your trip. It’s the kind of market that makes grocery shopping feel like a relaxing Sunday outing.
Oh my! This place is amazing! The freshness and variety of produce is off the charts. So many free samples. And then there are all the prepared foods. We tried Mando buns (like a grilled bag bun), country sourdough bread, dumplings, cardamom croissants, iced nitro coffee, and pluots. Parking is tricky, but worth the walk. Fun outing for all ages!
We’ve been to 3 farmers market in the nearby area and this is by far our favorite. It’s pretty big, lots of vendors, nice produce. Lots of vendors give out free taste, anything free is awesome. Not in picture were the corn on the cob that we got. It’s tasty, fresh, sweet, just perfect. ❤️ come on over and support local farmers.
I love farmer markets in general, and this one is my favorite down in the general San Jose area. Second only to the San Francisco Farmers market at the Pier 1 terminal building. They have plenty of options to choose from, excellent French pastries, great Russian food choices such as blintzes and peroshki, fresh pastas, wine, olives and nuts, cheeses, tons of great produce, and one of my favorite chocolate suppliers - Bisous Chocolates. Make sure you taste the free samples of fruit that you will find, with blood orange as a great treat. The thick hot chocolate that Bisous sells is always a treat, as are their dark chocolate coated lemon and orange peels. There is an excellent choice of pastries to choose from the French pastry booth, you can grab one and bring it to a nearby coffee shop, such as Red Rock Coffee - just a couple of blocks away. They almost always have musicians playing, most of the good ones with CDs to sell, usually located right next to the wine tasting booth - perfect to grab a glass of wine and listen to the music. I've only touched on the highlights, there is plenty to choose from and I recommend you go and see for yourself...
The best farmer's market in the southern bay. Lots of Asian produce and Western produces as well. Extremely fresh. The market is big and just by the caltrain station so it is really convenient. Found bittermelon leaves, chili leaves, pumpkin leaves, guar beans etc. Some vegetables you just can't get it elsewhere!
At last we were very excited to go back to Mountain View Farmer's Market after 2 yrs . We love going to different Farmers Market all over from SFO to Danville but Mountain View still remains our favorite , I think we love it so much due to fact that it's still close to our place plus the variety of fresh vegetables & fruits are more here .... having said that we also love SFO Ferry Plaza & Alemany Farmers Market too!!! We came here pretty early but the market opens @ 8.30 am on Sunday so had to wait patiently for all the stalls to be open that was the hardest part of us.... We first strolled around the market checking all the vendors booth produce , fresh Heirloom Tomatoes, Strawberries, Nectarines, Peaches , Plums , Beans , Swiss Chard, Peas , Mushrooms, local Honey etc.... I can just go on & on ... u need to come down & check for yourself I bet you will not be disappointed with this market. So happy to see the fresh organic fruits passing by the market & tasting the fresh fruit sample given by all the vendors we fell in love with the plums & nectarines it was too good to resist so bought some for us. As we were buying our produce one of the booth caught our eye the vendor was selling fresh mulberry fruits this was first for us so we stopped & tasted it there were 2 different types.... Baam !!!! Our whole world changed.... I swear we have never ever eaten fresh mulberry fruit in our entire life & this was sweet as honey My God !!!! Can't believe we missed on such an amazing experience.... instantly we decided to buy it was 3 for 20$. This thrill was just like a treasure hunting for us !!!! Then we bought some Tamales again he had various choices like Chicken, beans, eggplant, cheese & Chilli etc I bought 3 for 25$ each pack has 2 medium size Tamales. I can't resist Tamales!! It's one of my favorite. There were many food vendors selling fresh Bread, pastries, Biscotti, Bolani, dumplings, Taco Empanadas etc... speaking about Empanadas we bought some from the vendor Out Law Kitchen we bought chicken , Artichoke mushroom & a Birra Taco we ate it there itself pipping hot all were amazing !!!! Then on our way back we bought some more to have it at home later... All the vendors are very friendly here , we have our regular vendors whom we missed chatting for past 2 yrs so we were very happy to talk to them . We do believe all the Farmers Market are very unique that's the beauty of it & get to know about the local vendors do talk to them they will love to give you any information u want regarding their produce. Our treasure find for the day was fresh mulberry fruit & empanadas!!! Hope u too get to find ur own treasures in the market & have a fun experience buying it. Go check it out .
This farmers market has more stalls than the Sunnyvale and Palo alto ones. Lots of fresh produce, kombucha, seasonal fruits, bright florals, an Adorable French bakery with delicious desserts whose citrus cheesecake is especially yum!, Samosas, tamales and more. Street parking was not too hard to find even during peak hours.
Indeed on every Sunday its pleasure to come here for shopping farm fresh Vegetables, Fruits and lot more, directly sold by farmers themselves. I am from India and every week the farmers bring fresh vegetables to near by market in a small town. Every town has a different day of the week . The vegetables were very fresh and you were allowed to taste the fruits and other things. Open air market but they arrange portable open tents for shadow. Nice Concept, Love it.
This is my favorite market in the area, and probably the largest. Huge variety of fresh produce, ready to eat food, baked goods, flowers, meats and fish and many more! Great place to come with kids. Don't forget to bring cash and bags. Parking may be tough because it's very popular. With the live music this place always has holiday vibes! P.S. They don't allow pets.
End of summer, warned the wife we may not get much . Boy was I wrong!!!! Freshest of fresh fruits and vegetables galore and then some! Am always mesmerized by the fresh flowers they sell here too. But somehow I lean towards enjoying them in the garden and not in a vase inside the house. Old fashioned you may say. As usual we stocked up on our needs for fresh fruits to make shakes ( as you get older, this seems to suit the body best, hopefully not sounding too old ) Will let the photos speak for themselves!
Best to get all the fresh vegetables and Many options for greens and more Indian veggies too compared to all other neighbors farmers market. Better reach early to get more options. After exploring other markets this became our go-to place for weekend.
Visited on Sunday the 7th of May 2023 at 12.30 pm .As usual busy and remains expensive ..there is entertainment a person singing and baloon maker for children at. Cost of USD 4 a piece. Besides organic fruits and vegetables there is meat fish breads and pastries. The vegetable fruits are very fresh and tasty the fruits are awesome . 3 baskets of black berries is USD 15 and it is organic.good experience Very expensive place but considering direct from the farmers and the affordability of people living in this area may the price may be fair. you get fruits of the season very fresh and there is entertainment every week and besides vegetables you get humus variety of bread fresh juices and it is really nice to be on a sunday but the cost is high
